It was about half an hour when the family met up again and Dalia decided to join in too so she too waited in the hangar for everyone to arrive, once everyone was there, elsie spoke to Amanda. The hangar was active but security was tight, elsie had to let Amanda know exactly who was going and where they were going, the ship would be scanned before they left. with a bit of subtle questioning, they figured Anne could easily get past the defences so they started packing their ships normally.

To get past the defenses, the ghosts had to scan the cockpit for any sign of taken energy, so Anne couldn't be in there until they were practically leaving the hangar, they gave the hunter five minutes just to make sure she was in the area before one, they fired up the engines. Skye went first with nisra, the scan came up clear so there were no problems as they soared off, Dalia was next and she too took off without a problem, carrying Varun.

Elsie usually took off last by herself because her ship was slower and she took that bit longer to get ready. this time, she waited just that bit longer before firing up the scan, nothing was in her cabin so it all checked out and she hoped Anne was close enough to jump in as she took off, slower than usual but not so much that it wasn't weird, she had the excuse of getting air sickness so a bit of lag on her part was often accepted.

As they soared out of the hangar, her system started beeping and she brought up the stats with concern, an imbalance was detected on one of the wings but the alert stopped as quickly as it started as the hunter appeared in the cabin looking excited and wind blown 'that was awesome!' She laughed.

'Was that you on my wings?' Elsie asked with surprise.

'Yeah, I would totally do that again too, that was fun' she smiled and pulled elsie into a hug 'thank you thank you... your the litteral best' she mused.

Elsie laughed 'ok, ok, your lucky I like you' she mused, now sit down so I can fly properly' she mused.

'Yes mame' Anne replied and she happily did what she was told, relaxing as they left the prison like confines of the tower.

Elsie turned her focus to getting up to speed before setting their destination, she then leaned back leaning sparks take over and relaxed herself, she too had found herself feeling relieved to leave the tower, she didn't realise how much she had low key started to dislike the tower for the moment.

The flight was quiet, but a relaxed quiet, it was a good twenty minutes before any sound was made and that was Anne who got up and shifted to sit on the floor near her 'hey, can I fly?'

Elsie chuckled 'nope, no way in hell, you can when I'm not in the ship with you' she mused.

Anne looked playfully offended 'I do remember how to fly you know'

'I know' elsie replied 'but I get air sickness and you tend to make me sick' she smiled 'I've got nothing against you're flying, I just want no part of it'

Anne looked surprised 'what? No way...'

'It's true, I'm not a fan of flying' elsie sighed 'I'm fine on the ground, jumping, boosting is fine most of the time, but flying, this is the most exciting I can get or it gets messy' she mused.

Anne laughed 'I can't believe it, have you always been like this?'

Elsie nodded 'yeah, and I was reborn on mars... I had to be flown back to tower... it was horrendous' she looked defeated 'some people are just blessed'.

'How old are you anyway?' Anne asked with curiousity.

Elsie looked thoughtful 'uh... well I don't normally like thinking about it... but about eighty or so years old now...' she cringed 'your not much younger, I think there's only a few years difference but my death shook things up... so you might be older then me now...'

Anne nodded 'huh, explains a lot actually...'

Elsie looked at her before turning to face her 'what's that supposed to mean?' Raising an eyebrow playfully.

Anne grinned 'well I'm not saying your old... but...' she poked her tongue before smiling 'no, you just have this air of experience, like your unshakable when your in armour, your quite daunting all dressed up' she admitted 'I think it's a mix of what your wearing and how you carry yourself, but your just cool to be around, scary but cool'

Elsie laughed 'thanks? I think, from what I've heard, I was the opposite when I was taken... I wonder what went wrong...' she looked thoughtful.

Anne thought about it for a moment 'you know, I honestly think that the loss of Dali did it' she admitted 'even the first time, your will was so strong, but after Dali...' she shook her head 'it was only when you felt forced to fight that I saw the same will return'

'Well it wouldn't shock me... I definitely changed after that...' elsie nodded 'god, I could barely look at Dalia for the longest time... and then she asked me to teach her about death too... I almost died' she muttered.

'First death?' Anne asked.

Elsie nodded 'I never did tell you I don't think, but it was about a month or so after her revival, she was getting annoyed with everyone babying her and she asked me to teach her how to fight, I had no problems with it but once we were there... Just the thought of hitting her made me feel sick, well she eventually was able to convince me to fight her and then she asked me to show her what death was like... I just couldn't get her to drop the subject and then she said something that changed my mind against my better judgement'

Anne listened intently 'what did she say?'

Elsie looked distant 'she said that I was the only person in the universe she trusted enough to ask... she was scared and she wanted me to be there to help her' she looked defeated 'so I did it... not by fighting or anything, but a knife... I cut her in the throat before she had a chance to back out and just sat holding her as she died and that was that...' she shook her head 'I was the one that gave her her last and first death... I always found that ironic' she muttered.

Anne nodded 'I didn't think you were the knife type...'

Elsie shifted to pull a knife from inside her belt to show the hunter 'I figured you'd never let me live it down if you knew' she mused 'sometimes a knife is quicker than a fist' she smiled before putting the knife back into hiding.

Anne looked thoughtful 'so will you do the same with your kids?'

Elsie sighed 'depends on if they want me too' she admitted 'I suppose I'll have too because I don't think Skye could... you could of course but catching you is the trick and your not exactly the most comforting all the time, no offence meant' she looked defeated 'I don't really want to have too... I have enough of my children's blood on my hands... but I guess I can't say no to them'.

The mood had chilled into a heavy cloud but that was broken by the radio 'captain come in, requesting co-ordinates, arctic and little light are flying over the destination and we are detecting fallen in the area'

Elsie straightened up and cleared her throat before checking the computers and replying 'orders received, eta is about five minutes, I'll send boa down'

'Boa?' Skye replied with surprise.

'Yeah, she might have a bit of fun' elsie mused 'Captain out, listen for the all clear'. She then turned to Anne 'come here?' She smiled, offering her a hand.

The hunter looked confused but accepted the help to stand and shifted a bit closer 'what are you planning?' She asked carefully.

'Me?' Elsie teased 'nothing' elsie then took annes hand and took off the shackle much to the hunters surprise, elsie proceeded to free the hunter completely and Anne looked excited.

'No way!' She enthused 'are you sure?'

Elsie nodded 'of course, I'll give them back when we head home' she turned back to the cockpit 'now, can dust transmat you down?'

Anne looked thoughtful before replying 'yes, but only a very limited range, I have to teleport myself most of the time'

Elsie looked thoughtful 'can she do it if I do a drive by?'

After another moment, the hunter nodded 'yeah, easy, you might need to go a bit slower than normal though'

'Easy, so I'll fly down and drop you off, you clear the area for us, and send up a signal when your done' elsie smiled 'easy?'

'But how, I can't talk to you?' Anne asked 'I have no comms that work currently'

Elsie shrugged 'throw up a grenade or something, we will see it, just don't hit us' she mused.

Anne nodded and smiled 'ok, sure, easy' she looked excited and pulled out her weapon and checked it was still in good order.

It was barely two minutes before they reached the long beach that they often visited and once there, they spotted some fallen ducking into the tree line, elsie gave Anne a signal before diving and straightening up once they were lower to the ground and while elsie looked slightly queasy, she didn't complain. As elsie flew over the sand, Anne transmatted our onto the beach and Elsie's ship soared up into the air once more to the safety of the the Skye.

Anne took a moment to celebrate her complete freedom before looking happy and determined, moving up the beach to do her part. It wasn't hard to get rid of the trash mobs that hung around and it was barely a few minutes before Anne threw up a smoke bomb and it exploded much bigger than normal, it was enough that the three ships could come in for a landing and Anne ran up to greet them cheerfully.

Dalia was first out, today she wore hunters armour and jumped down to greet Anne, she looked surprised to see just how free she was but offered a hug 'how you feeling mum?'

Anne took it and smiled 'great, how was your flight?' She looked to dalias ship with curiousity, it was similar to skyes but it had a different pattern and even appeared to be made of different materials, she moved to check it out 'I like your ship, what's it called?'

'Pallas gallot' dalia replied 'it's not as fast as yours but the flight is pretty incredible, Skye gave it to me' She smiled.

Anne looked thoughtful 'Pallas gallot?... that sounds familiar... awoken in nature I think... she jumped up on the ship curiously 'yeah actually... awoken... I wonder if this is from the dreaming city'

Dalia looked a bit surprised 'it is, how do you know?'

'It just looks familiar... not to me but to others... if you understand... but there is a lot of dreaming city information that I have, the name riven in particular comes to mind' she admitted, she looked fascinated before shaking her head 'it doesn't matter, I'm just curious' she jumped down.

Skye approached Anne 'I was under the impression you only had limited knowledge?'

Anne nodded 'I do, but i can think clearly away from the traveller' she shrugged 'plus its like opening a book, you can only read what's on two pages at a time, so if the page is about dreaming city, I only know what's on those pages, change the page, change the information' she smiled 'when you were taken, you could look at whatever you wanted, which is why you could death sing if you wanted too''

Skye looked fascinated 'you know I'd almost be happy to let you be taken forever... but I like you too much' she sighed 'the study I could do on you...'

Anne laughed 'I'm undecided as of the moment' she mused 'who knows, you might get lucky in one way' she looked content 'so what are we doing here anyway?' She asked 'other than to let me off the leash' she teased.

Elsie caught up and gave her a cheeky smile 'well, how's a fight sound? There's some rules, no darkness, minimal tricks, somewhat fair, but...' she punched her palm 'I'll fight you' she mused.

Anne looked surprised before looking unsure 'what's all this niceness' she asked suspiously.

'I owe you.' Elsie shrugged 'plus I know you and I know you hate being stuck anywhere for too long, I'd rather get it out of your system before you decide to force your way to be honest' she smiled 'I'm ok with a controlled fight, not a one sided one' she walked over to the hunter and offered her hand 'so here's the deal, a fist fight, no space magic from either of us and a good old fight to the death, or as many deaths as I feel like, because I'm sure you could go on for longer then me in your current state'

Anne looked thoughtful 'knives?'

'Normally I'd say yes, but I don't want to end up joining you again, unless you can promise it's safe, that's a no' elsie replied 'but I can see where your coming from, I want stop you from teleporting so there's the balance' she promised 'though your not allowed any more tricks than that, no hiding in darkness'

Anne crosses her arms thoughtful 'ok, deal' she replied after a moment, accepting her hand shake 'your on' she smiled 'but are you sure your up to it, aren't you still stiff?'

Elsie laughed 'you think that's stopped me before? Think again' she mused.

The twins looked a bit worried 'uh, is this safe?'

'As long as we both keep to the rules, of course; we both have ghosts' elsie smiled before looking to Anne 'five minutes and I'll be with you' she continued before heading back to her ship briefly, returning with her duffle bag and handing it to Dalia 'you know what to do with this'

Dalia took the bag with a nod 'you guys be careful, have fun' she looked a little concerned but as elsie put on her helmet, she motioned for Anne to follow and they headed up the beach, Anne looked hyped.

The twins had seen Anne and elsie fight before, when they both had time off together, it was one of their favourite things to do but this time there was an edge of fear that either of them might get hurt more than usual. Even Skye was a bit worried but they let it happen and instead set up a picnic on the beach so they could watch what was sure to be a spectacular affair and they weren't disappointed.

Elsie started with some distance between them and loosened up before facing each other and with a nod indicating they were ready, an intense battle begun. Elsie was a bit sluggish to start with and Anne definitely had a bit of an advantage against her, using her teleport to avoid and get behind elsie to get some almost dirty hits but it wasn't long before elsie begin to see through her actions and started defending and fighting off the hunter with heavy blows that sent the hunter reeling back in surprise and retreating a bit.

They had all eyes on them as they started exchanging equal blows and it was a few minutes until the first victor was crowned, elsie with a final heavy blow to the head sent Anne flying backwards and she landed hard. With a combination of attacks that hit her, this was the one that did it and with a brief weak twitch, she faded into smoke, dead at the titans hands.

After a moment, the hunter respawned with a stagger and looked at elsie with shock 'how are you beating me?' She asked 'it's freaky, it's like you can read my mind?!' She crossed her arms 'this feels unfair' she complained.

Elsie laughed and straightened up a bit tenderly 'I do this all the time, even if you can't remember, every few weeks we come out here and do this, I know how you fight, you taught me yourself' she walked over 'I've had a bit of a warmup, how about we change the rules a bit' she pulled out her knife 'since yours are tainted, here, to even the playing field'

Anne took it and tested it briefly before nodding 'sure, deal' she then sighed 'so it's my fault your this annoying to fight?'

'Exactly' elsie mused.

Anne roller her eyes 'of course it is, well done me... you know if you didn't get taken the way you did, there was no way I could take you, I thought it would be easy' she admitted 'I don't believe that now' she sighed 'and I'm the monster...'

Elsie gave her a cheeky smile and backed up, looking defensive once more, Anne got used to her knew weapon briefly and with a shared nod, they got back to it. With the addition of the knife, Anne finally started making some progress but it was slow, getting through Elsie's sharp defenses was hard, She was ready for almost everything Anne could think of. The titan was prepared for her to attack from behind, and attacking from the front was a death wish, the sides were equally as dangerous but when she finally broke through, it seemed to be calculated on elsies part as the titan used it to deliver a powerful attack to her in the process.

When elsie did finally fall, it was because she was starting to get tired and Anne was finally able to knock elsie off her feet and thrust her knife into the titans helmet, instantly killing the titan. Anne almost didn't believe it and stood up before letting out an excited cheer.

As elsie respawned in the light, she cheered as well and gave the hunter a proud hug before they reset and continued, the problem was that elsie had renewed energy and Anne once more had trouble getting to her again. She did however figure out the swing of it after a few deaths and they started trading deaths.

They fought for a good half hour or so until the unexpected happened, it was thought that elsie would not be able to outlast the hunter, but it was Anne that with a final death and revived, staggered weakly before collapsing, the titan herself was getting to that point but looked surprised when the near limitless hunter collapsed and shifted over to crouch before her with worry.

'Are you doing ok?' Elsie asked.

Anne nodded and took off her helmet before coughing up black sludge 'yeah... just running out of light' she muttered weakly 'mine doesn't come back like yours' she looked disappointed 'it's shame, I'm having fun' she sighed.

Elsie chuckled and took of her helmet, indicating that the fight was over 'you did well considering, I honestly thought you would win though' she admitted 'well the idea was to get rid of some of the extra light so I guess that plan worked' she shifted to help Anne up before sweeping her off her feet and heading back to the shore carrying her.

'It's really nice' Anne admitted 'i might be able to sleep now' she sighed tiredly.

As they approached, Skye looked worried 'you guys ok?'

Elsie went to respond before Anne cut in 'I'm fine, I'm just not as sturdy as I look' she admitted reluctantly 'I ran out of light...' she sighed.

Elsie gently set her down on the ground before sitting beside her 'maybe I was a bit rough on you' she admitted.

Anne smiled 'no, you were amazing, it's the first time I've felt so alive since becoming this... your the only thing I've ever had trouble fighting! That was the best' she assured happily 'I'd stay taken for that alone' she grinned 'if we could fight like that in the tower, I'd be the happiest taken in the world'

Elsie chuckled 'wow, that's a commendation and a half, your not usually so nice' she teased.

Skye looked at the two before sighing 'you know what, I don't even know why I'm surprised, your both monsters' she looked to Anne 'is it light you need?'

Anne looked torn 'well yes... but honestly, I'd like to sleep' she muttered looking distant 'being so full of light and energy all the time is cool and all but I can't rest with all that noise...' she held up her hand and dust appeared there looking exhausted and she set the ghost gently on her chest 'let us rest for a bit... please... we willl be fine' she promised.

Elsie and Skye nodded 'let me know when your ready and I'll give you some more then' Skye replied gently 'we will stay out here a while so take your time and rest'

Anne looked grateful and it was barely a few minutes before Anne was out cold, clutching her ghost to her chest gently, dust herself flickered weakly but Even she shut down to a degree, her eye dulled to the point it was barely lit and she almost looked dead if not for the occasional twitch of her shell in the hunters hands. Anne herself twitched in her sleep as if she was dreaming, various emotions flickered through her features but most often she looked pained and occasionally she whimpered quietly or let out a whispered complaint.
