The next day on Lothal, the Lothal resistance group, which consisted of Ryder Azadi, Jai Kell, a few other rebels and the Ghost crew, except for Hera who was currently off world on Yavin IV were in the cliff dwelling area near the cave they found themselves after following the Loth-wolves. Sabine was near a radio transmitter and was working on it as her sister and Kanan approached her.

"This transmitter is all we could scrounge up, Sis," Ezra told her, "Even though you've started teaching me mechanics, I'm still not that good. But what do you think?"

"Well, we can boost the power, but not enough to overcome the Empire's jamming signal," Sabine answered, "They're blocking all non-Imperial transmissions."

"We have to find a way to make contact with Hera," Kanan stated.

"If she made it past the blockade," Ryder added.

"She made it," he told him, "And she'll convince rebel command to launch an attack. We need to be ready to help."

"Help?" Ryder repeated with confusion, "Look, I want to fight, but the Empire's got thousands of troops. We are hiding in a cave with no ships, no supplies, and a couple of blasters."

"We've done a lot more with a lot less," Ezra recalled, "There's a way, and we'll find it."

Just then the transmitter started squealing, causing Zeb to walk towards it, "What now?"

"I can't make contact outside the planet, but I'm picking up something transmitting nearby," Sabine answered.

"How close?" Kanan asked.

"Close enough to take a look," she answered.

"Better check it out," Ryder suggested as they walked out the cave.

"There. It's an ore crawler," Ryder stated as he and the specters sat on their stomachs after traveling through the plains on a landspeeder with the twins wearing their helmets, flipping down their helmet's macrobinocular viewplates.

"I think I saw some of those burning through the grasslands up north," Ezra said.

"Yeah," Ryder confirmed, "They strip rake the surface for raw materials to feed the Inperial factory."

"And they've burned all the way down here?" She stated, "That's halfway across the planet."

"Yeah, but that ship might be just what we need," Zeb told them.

"You might be more right than you know, Zeb," Sabine told him as she noticed an antenna on top of the crawler, "That crawler is equipped with a long-range communications array."

"One that can reach Hera?" Ezra asked her sister as she noticed the antenna as well.

"I'm almost sure of it," Sabine answered.

"Based upon data provided by Captain Syndulla, the TIE defender Elite possesses speed, weapons, and shields superior to any fighter in our fleet," Dodonna began as he stood around the holotable in the Great Temple on Yavin IV with Erskin, a hologram of Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Hera along with Chopper as the holotable projected a diagram of the TIE defender Elite from the data recorder which was placed in the center of the holotable.

"Can we destroy it? Mon Mothma asked.

"In a single ship-to-ship combat, unlikely," Dodonna answered, "Our analysts have yet to find a weakness in its design."

"If we can't find a way to fight this thing, it's imperative we prevent it from being mass-produced," Hera stated, "I request permission to lead an attack squadron back to Lothal to destroy that factory."

"Considering the Empire's defenses and our limited attack capability, I am not sow is the right time," Organa told her.

"We can't afford to wait. I have a group standing by on the ground ready to aid any mission," Hera argued.

"What about the blockade and Admiral Thrawn?" Organa inquired.

"Your evidence is persuasive, Captain, but we'll need time to discuss further action," Mon Mothma told Hera as she approached her, "Perhaps it's best for you to wait outside."

Chopper grunted in a sad tone as he and Hera left the room and began to go outside.

"Sabine, Ezra, you're both up," Kanan said as the landspeeder that Ryder was driving headed towards the crawler with Kanan and Zeb passengers as the twins stood up in the back of the speeder with their jetpacks on their backs, and with that they jumped up into the air as they activated their jetpacks and hovered right next to each other as they hovered near a wall with Sabine placing her hand on.

"We've got movement," Sabine said as she and Ezra saw a security droid wearing Mining Guild uniforms on a catwalk below ahead of them.

"Mining Guild security droid," Ezra added before they flew forward and landed behind the droid and hid behind the wall before aiming their vambraces at the droid before firing paralyzing darts at the droid, disabling it as it electrified before Ezra lifted the droid up with the Force and threw it off the the rail as the others in the speeder flew next to them and hovered there as Zeb and Kanan climbed out of the speeder and onto the catwalk as a doorway nearby opened with a security droid in the doorway as Kanan, Ezra and Zeb rushing down the catwalk with Sabine noticing the droid and took one of her WESTAR-35s and fired a blaster bolt at the droid with it before activating her jetpack and flew up as the others climbed up a ladder and soon reached a door to the crawler's cockpit and sneaked in with everyone holding their blasters as a Trandosian named Seevor was sitting in a chair in front of the cockpit, humming as he wore headphones on his ears.

"I like that song," Zeb said as he grabbed one of of the headphones off of Seevor's ears as he heard that Seevor was listening to rock music and this surprised the Trandosian, who screamed as the Lasat picked him up.

"Hello there," Ezra said in a Scottish sounding accent.

"Pirate scum," Seevor said, thinking that they were pirates before pressing a button on a device on his wrist, causing an alarm to go off as the crawler slowly descended down onto the ground below.

"Sabine, shut off that alarm," Kanan ordered Sabine, who ran up to the console in front of them as Zeb had trouble to keep hold of Seevor, who soon got free from his grasp.

"Get off," Seevor ordered as he jumped onto Zeb's back before jumping off Zeb's back before being knocked to the floor by Ezra.

"Stick around, Captain," Ezra said as she picked up the trandosian as her sister pulled a stick forward before clicking buttons on the console's keypad, causing the alarm to stop blaring. While this happened Zeb held Seevor tightly with his arms as Ezra pulled his arm towards her and took the device that activated the alarms from his wrist and dropped it before crushing it with her boot.

"Do you have any idea who you're messing with?" Seevor asked as he exhaled.

"The Mining Guild, we know," Ezra answered.

"Guild control to Crawler 413-24," a voice suddenly said from the console's comm system, "You've activated your distress beacon and ceased output. Is there a problem? Do you copy? Over."

"Ha! You're done, thieving scoundrels," Seevor cried happily.

"Guild control to Crawler 413-24. Respond immediately," the voice on the comm system repeated itself.

"Yes, respond," Seevor urged them.

"We better come up with something," Sabine stated as Zeb placed his hand over Seevor's mouth.

"Ezra, this one's all you," Kanan told his Padawan.

"Be my guest, Sis," Sabine told Ezra as she walked towards the console.

"Sorry. The Crawler has malfunctioned," Ezra began as she activated her helmet's voice modulator to sound like Seevor as she activated the comm system as she also made hissing sounds with her voice.

"Is that what I sound like?" Seevor gasped.

"Is this operator 94-34?" The voice on the comm system asked Ezra, "You sound different."

"Uh, I'm sick," Ezra explained.

"Pirates! Help!" Sever yelled causing Zeb to place his hand over his mouth again.

"Crawler 413-24, repeat," the voice requested.

"Sorry. Engine flare. Part of the malfunction. We're fixing it," Ezra stated.

"Liars! Liars!" Seevor said as he moved his mouth away from Zeb's hand yet again only for Zeb to pound him on the head, knocking him out.

"We are sending a technical crew to assist," the voice on the comm system informed her, "Stand by."

"Uh, negative, control. We can make repairs ourselves," Ezra said as she and the others didn't want the Empire nor the Mining Guild to find out about them stealing the Crawler, "Do you copy? Over."

"Uh, that could've gone better," Ezra admitted as she deactivated her helmet's voice modulator as she turned around and removed her helmet.

"I thought it was pretty good," Zeb said as he walked forward with the unconscious Seevor in his arms.

"Just make sure the captain stays quiet, and let's get to work," Kanan stated, "We don't have much time."

"Well, this comm unit's older I thought," Sabine stated as she removed her helmet and sat down at the comm system, "May take a while to boost this thing's power enough to beam out a long-range transmission." She then began to click buttons on the comm system's keypad and the console beeped, "That's weird. Someone activated the inter-vehicle comm. there's a signal. Coming from the rear section of the crawler."

"Zeb and I will check it out," Kanan told her, "As soon as Sabine gets that comm working, contact Hera." He then pointed at Seevor, "And watch him." With that Zeb dropped Seevor as he and Kanan rushed out of the room.

"Nothing here but a big headache," Zeb commented as he and Kanan walked into the crawler's reacted room near the rear end of the crawler.

"That signal came from somewhere," Kanan told him, "Take a look around up here. I'll check out below."

With that Kanan jumped onto the floor below and reached for his blaster pistol a he walked through the smoke in the room as a figure ran through the smoke in front of him with slaves of many species and races seeing him.

"Please don't hurt us," one of the slaves pleaded as they hid away.

"Slaves?" Kanan murmured as he moved his hand from his blaster pistol and began to speak with the slaves, "It's all right. I'm not with the Mining Guild. You're safe. Many of the slaves began to walk towards him.

"Finally!" A very familiar voice called out to Kanan, "My friends have come to rescue me!"

"Vizago?" Kanan said with disbelief and confusion.

"I told the others how the Empire banished me to this monstrosity for helping you rebels," Vizago told the Jedi Knight, "But I knew you would not leave me here to rot."

"Right! Right," Kanan said in a perplexed tone.

"I told them the foreman would be no match for a Jedi," Vizago added as he laughed.

"Foreman?" Kanan repeated with confusion when he suddenly heard a loud growl coming from a powerfully built Trandosian with an electro-whip and swung it at Kanan as he ignited his saber after grabbing it from his hip and grunted as the whip latched into the saber's blade, "Let's hope you're right!" His saber was then flown out of his hand by the whip before the Trandosian flung his whip at Kanan again, this time latching onto his body causing him to fall to the floor unconscious when suddenly the Trandosian saw a blaster bolt fly near him and looked up and saw Zeb aiming his bo-rifle at him from above.

"Drop the whip and step away from my friend, you knuckle brained lizard," Zeb demanded the Trandosian before the Trandosian flung his whip to a metal object above and ascended onto the catwalk above with Zeb firing his bo-rifle at the Trandosian, who evaded the blaster bolts as he jumped onto Zeb growling at each other as they stood in front of a furnace behind them as they pushed each other.

"Is that thing working yet, Sis?" Ezra asked Sabine as she sat in a seat near her soster with Seevor on the floor unconscious.

"I've made the modifications, but I need to encrypt our message so that the Empire doesn't trace the signal back to rebel command," Sabine answered as Seevor regained consciousness as he got up.

"Get off my bridge," Seevor ordered the two Mandalorians, "I'll have you crushed into extraction waste!"

"Can't you keep him quiet, Sis?" Sabine asked her twin.

"Ain't nothing gonna shut me up!" Seevor retorted as Ezra grabbed him by the collar, "Hey! You can't put me in there. I know people!"

"Yeah, well, if you see any of your people in there, tell them I said hello," Ezra said as she flung Seevor into the closet that she pulled him towards before closing it.

"You got a big surprise coming," Seevor chuckled as Ezra walked away from the closet towards her sister.

"Maybe you should check on Kanan and Zeb?" Sabine suggested to Ezra.

"I'm sure they're fine, Sis," Ezra assured her.

The Trandosian punched Zeb in the face before Zeb began to hit him with his bo-rifle only for the Trandosian to grab it and toss it away as Zeb rushed at him as Zeb pushed him out of the room onto one of the catwalks outside the reactor room. The Trandosian then proceeded to elbow the Lasat before hitting him as he picked him up and slammed him onto the floor and went to punch him only for Zeb to see this and evaded the Trandosian's punch and punch d him instead before the Trandosian kicked him back with his feet before they both stood back up and the Trandosian grabbed Zeb by the head and slammed his head into one of the catwalk's guardrails before pulling him over the rail only for Zeb to begin kicking the Trandosian's face with his feet before grabbing his head with his feet and pulled him downwards only to grab hold of the railing as well and punched Zeb in the face and they begun to kick each other with their feet.

While this happened, Kanan who has regained consciousness rushed out onto the catwalk and was looking for Zeb, "Kanan, up here!" He then heard Zeb call from above.

"I'm coming, Zeb. Hang on!" Kanan assured him as he rushed back into the reactor room as Seb kicked the Trandosian who then took his electro-whip back out and swung it at him only for Zeb to evade the whip and soon the whip latched onto Zeb's arm that was free from hanging on the catwalk's floor and began pulling at each other as electricity began to flow through Zeb's body before pulling the whip towards him, causing the Trandosian to fall down but was still holding the whip in his hand and the pressure between the two began to strain Zeb's hand that was hanging onto the catwalk's floor and just as he was about to let go of the floor, the Trandosian accidentally let go of his his and fell to his death and Zeb soon let go of the floor only for Kanan to appear on the catwalk above and grabbed his arm, "You are really, really heavy." He commented as he pulled Zeb up and soon Zeb got back on the floor as he heard cheering and looked down and saw the slaves cheering on the catwalk below.

"You see that? Those are my friends," Vizago told the other slaves as he stood with them.

Back on Yavin, Hera and Chopper stood outside the debriefings room pacing as the door in front of them slid open with Mon Mothma walking through the doorway, "Still no decision."

"They don't trust me," Hera told her.

"It isn't that. The TIE defender isn't our only problem. The Empire has a new plan, as evidenced by protocol 13," Mon Mothma assured her.

"Never heard of it," Hera told her.

"It is the immediate evacuation of all Imperial personnel from an occupied planet," Mon Mothma explained.

"An order like that should only confirm our worst fears. And we're too afraid to do anything about it " Hera said before walking through the doorway with Chopper grunted as he followed her into the debriefings room.

"Captain Syndulla, this is a closed door…" Organa began as he noticed Hera walk towards the holotable.

"Senator, If I may," Hera requested, "I know the odds are against this attack's success. But if that fighter goes into production, our squadrons will not stand a chance. I believe it's a risk worth taking. And whether we fail or succeed, at least our actions will show the Empire and the galaxy that we will not stand down, that we will not be broken by fear, that we are strong, United by strength. Now is the time to strike."

"What is this?" Ezra asked as she walked up to Kanan and Zeb as she saw slaves on the catwalk they were on.

"Freedom!" Vizago answered her as he turned towards her.

"Vizago? I don't believe it," she said with disbelief.

"What? Oh! Now I see," Vizago stated, "You did not come here to rescue me. Betrayed! Oh, I knew I should've given you up!"

"Yeah, we'll, we're here now," Kanan told the Devaronian Crime Lord.

"And we are rescuing you," Ezra added.

"Guys and Sis, get up here," Sabine suddenly said on everyone's comlinks.

"I've got two targets closing fast," Sabine informed everyone, removing electrobinoculars from her eyes as the others and the slaves including Vizago rushed into the cockpit before placing them back over her eyes and saw Imperial Patrol transports flying towards them, "Those aren't Mining Guild vehicles."

"No, it's the Empire," Ezra stated.

"It's not too late to abandon ship," Zeb said as Sabine removed the electrobinoculars from her eyes again.

"We still need to contact Hera," Sabine told him.

"This crawler is valuable. It has long-range communication, and we can use it for our attack," Ezra added.

"Right now, it's unarmed. No match for those gunships," Zeb told her.

"Mining Guild vessel, transmit security code now," they all

Suddenly heard an Imperial voice say on the crawler's comm system.

"I think we can hold it without a fight," Ezra stated.

"If you've got a plan, now's the time," Kanan told her.

"Zeb, get the slaves on deck. Show the Empire everything is under control," she told Zeb.

"Me, a slave master?" Zeb said with disbelief.

"Just put the helmet on," she urged him.

"All right, I guess," Zeb said as he grabbed a Mining Guild helmet that was sitting next to both of the Twins' helmets and placed it over his head.

"Vizago, into the captain's chair," Ezra told the Devaronian who began walking forward.

"Stay out of my chair!" Seevor exclaimed from the closet as he banged on the door.

"By the moons of Gozo, I hope this works," Vizago said as he sat in the captain's chair.

"Repeat, transmit security code, or we will open fire," the Imperial voice said on the comm system again.

"Uh, this is the captain. Uh, 93-94. How may I help you?" Vizago said, answering the call.

"The Mining Guild reported a security alert for this vessel," the Imperial voice answered.

"Hey, you sure Vizago won't turn us in to save himself?" Sabine asked her twin.

"Too late now, Sis," Ezra remarked.

"We're having a maintenance issue and lost our security codes, but everything is under control," Vizago told the Imperial.

"Kick the bums out!" Seevor exclaimed as he continued to pound on the door, "Scoundrels, all of them!"

"Repeat that, Captain," the Imperial requested as Zeb walked to the closet door and entered the closet to knock Seevor out.

"I was yelling at my slaves!" Vizago explained, "They were being insolent!"

"Prepare to be boarded," the Imperial told him.

"No, no, no, no, no, that is not necessary," Vizago protested, "I am trying to run an operation here."

Vizago and Zeb then walked out of the cockpit as the Imperial patrol transports landed on the deck of the crawler with one of the slaves looking at it with confusion.

"What are you looking at? Get working," Zeb ordered the slaves as he pretended to be a slave master as the stormtroopers departed from their patrol transports, "Heh… You can't get good help these days."

"Squad 2, sweep the lower decks. The rest of you, with me," the stormtrooper commander ordered the stormtroopers with a few stormtroopers walking down the stairs next to the cockpit as the others began to enter the cockpit.

"I told you everything was under control," Vizago reminded the stormtroopers, "I'll have to report this intrusion to the Mining Guild."

"Step aside, Captain," the stormtrooper commander ordered.

"All right, let me show you our output data logs," Vizago said as he sat in the captain's chair, "They aren't nearly as boring as you would think."

"All we need is that lizard to start yapping his mouth again," Ezra muttered as she and her sister hid in one of the closets with their helmets over their heads with Kanan in the closet with them before closing the closet shut.

"There is nothing in there!" Vizago said as the stormtrooper commander began to walk towards the closet that Kanan and the twins were hiding in.

"Get back," the stormtrooper commander ordered as he aimed his blaster rifle at him.

"Oh. But, please, see for yourself," Vizago said as Ezra opened the closet door as she held her lightsaber in her hand as the stormtrooper commander opened one of the closets and saw that nothing was in the closet as Seevor had somehow escaped the closet. "Gone?" Vizago said with disbelief before correcting himself, "I mean, see? Nothing there. If you'd like a full inspection, I can give you one. It shouldn't take longer than a couple of hours."

"You may have that kind of time, but we do not," the stormtrooper commander told him, "Now get this crawler operational."

"Of course. I was just going to do that," Vizago told him.

"Squad, move out," the stormtrooper commander said as he and the other stormtrooper left the cockpit.

"Don't worry. We'll be crawling in no time," Vizago told the stormtroopers as the patrol transports lifted off of the deck and fly away.

"Nice work, Vizago. You haven't lost your game," Ezra said, complimenting the Devaronian Crime Lord.

"Like mother said, 'once a scoundrel, always a scoundrel," Vizago told her, "But we have a problem. Where's Captain 93-94?"

"He got loose," Kanan answered as he inspected the closet that Ezra placed Seevor in earlier.

"Guys, Sis, I think I've got it," Sabine announced as she began to transmit the message to Hera as she had her helmet placed to the side, "Transmitting to Hera now."

"That doesn't sound good," Kanan remarked as the transmitter sparked with electricity.

"Transmitter's lost power?" Sabine said with confusion.

"I told you not to mess with me. You may have duped those Imperial suckers, but you won't fool the Mining Guild," Seevor said on the crawler's comm system.

"That sneaky little lizard," Zeb muttered.

"How'd he get a comlink?" Ezra asked with confusion.

"He's on the crawler's intercom, and he's sabotaged power to the long-range transmitter, Sis," Sabine answered.

"Patch me through to the Empire, or I will destroy this crawler, you pirate scum!" Seevor threatened.

"We are not pirates," Zeb said, "Haven't you figured that out by now?"

Ezra then walked into the closet where she placed Seevor earlier before he escaped with Kanan and Zeb.

"We've got to find him before he sabotages this whole thing," Kanan stated as they looked into the opening of the ventilation shaft.

"He's in the ventilation shafts. He could be anywhere in there," Zeb stated.

"His target will be the main reactor core in the refinery," Sabine told them.

"Come on," Kanan sighed as he and Zeb rushed out of the room and ran across the catwalk over to the door to the refinery only for the door to not budge open.

"We can't get in," Zeb told Kanan and they walked away from the door, "He's locked the refinery doors.

"I can't cut through either. They're magnetically sealed," Kanan said as he activated his comlink.

"Well then we need someone capable of navigating through those ventilation shafts," Sabine said as she turned to her twin and began to walk towards her.

"Oh, no, no, no. I am not going in there," Ezra protested.

"It's a ventilation shaft, Sis. It's what you do," Sabine told her.

"If Vizago can fool Empire, Mandalorian Jedi can climb into shaft," Vizago told Ezra and with that she took her jetpack off and handed it to Sabine before climbing into the ventilation shaft after placing her helmet back over her head.

"I don't do this anymore," Ezra reminded everyone as she crawled through the ventilation shaft.

"Make a left at the next junction," Sabine said on Ezra's helmet's comlink as she reached the end of the ventilation shaft and fell down the edge of the shaft.

"Ezra, hurry! We can't let him destroy the reactor," Kanan said on her helmet's comlink.

"Ezra? Sis, are you there? What do you see?" Sabine asked on the comlink of her sister's helmet as Ezra began to get up.

"She's probably taking a nap," Zeb remarked as Ezra climbed out of the ventilation shaft at the refinery room and jumped onto the catwalk below and hid at one of the guard rails.

"I'm here," Ezra said, activating her helmet's comlink, "Oh, he shut down the reactors, all right."

"Okay, to turn them back on, find the primary console. It should be across from the furnace," Sabine said on Ezra's helmet's comlink as she walked across the catwalk as unbeknownst to her Seeger was crawling on the bottom of the catwalk below her.

"Found it," Ezra announced as she reached the console as she stood across from the furnace and began to use the console as Seevor came up from behind her, she saw him with the corner of her eye as she grabbed her saber, igniting it as she swung around towards him.

"This is my crawper, rebel," Seevor told the Mandalorian before jumping away from her, "I worked for the Guild just as he who spawned me and as my spawn after me." He soon then climbed down from the wall behind her and she sensed it and jumped in front of her before crawling behind her and grabbing her from behind, causing her to lose grip of her saber, which fell to the floor and she soon elbowed him, causing him to let go of her with him walking backwards towards the furnace and nearly fell in before turning to see the furnace in front of him and backed away before accidentally stepping on her lightsaber, causing him to trip and fall into the furnace, screaming to his death.

"Watch out," she said as she saw Seevor get vaporize from the heat within the furnace and grabbed her saber as it rolled over to her.

"We made a believer out of you yet, Ryder?" Kanan asked Ryder as he got onto the crawler after flying back to the crawler.

"You're getting there, Kanan," Ryder answered as he placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Well, I beamed our signal to rebel command. Now we just have to wait for a reply," Sabine announced on Kanan's comlink.

"Guess this crawler belongs to us," Zeb said as he stood next to Ezra who had her helmet to her side, "Maybe we are pirates after all."

"At least these plains have been spared. For now," Ezra stated as she looked at the plains in the distance.

"That is not all you spared," Vizago told her, "I know you did not come here to rescue Vizago, but I am grateful all the same."

"And we're grateful for you, Vizago, for not turning us in," she told him before turning to the other slaves, "You're all free now. But we could use your help fight the Empire against the Empire here on Lothal."

"Yes, we…" the former Mining Guild slaves began stammering.

"We will fight with the big purple beast," the rodian that was one of the slaves replied.

"We will fight!" One of the humans that was one of the slaves added.

"As for this vessel, it is obviously in need of a new captain," Vizago stated.

"I think I know just the pirate for the job," Ezra said, elbowing Vizago in the stomach, causing Vizago to chuckle.

"We're receiving a transmission," Sabine announced and with that, everyone rushed into the cockpit.

"Happy to hear from you guys. And good timing, rebel command has authorized the attack. Fighters are being fueled and bombers being loaded," Hera said on the comm system, causing everyone to smile.

"The attack? It's happening?" Ezra asked happily.

"We're launching our assault on the next rotation. I told Mon Mothma you'll coordinate the ground assault," Hera explained.

"You can count on us," Ezra said, reassuring the Twi'lek.
