"I don't," Reyna groaned. Her mouth was still full of dried blood, and everything tasted like iron. It was not the worst thing she had tasted in the last minute though. Isabella gave her a look and held up a bowl. Her other hand raised the spoon. "No."

"There is no way that you can digest solid food. Drink the soup. Got it?" Isabella questioned. Reyna tried to push the bowl away, but pain tore through her body. A small groan left her, and she laid her head back. Her eyes focused on the roof above her head.

"It tastes disgusting," Reyna complained. Isabella sighed and placed the bowl on the bedside table.

"Here's what is going to happen. I am going to sit on you and make you eat this soup," Isabella said. Reyna held up a hand.

"Don't," Reyna said quickly. She knew that anything touching her midsection would leave her a crying and whimpering mess. Just her shirt felt like it was hammering into her side. "I'll eat the stupid soup."

"Good," Isabella said. She turned back towards the soup. Instead of grabbing it, she seemed to tense. "That boy of death told me what Kendall almost did to you."

"I'm not going to talk about it," Reyna growled. She closed her eyes and tried to purge the memories from her head. Bile rose in her throat. Reyna swallowed it back down.

"I also heard that you killed Kendall. Blood eagle," Isabella said. She looked at Reyna. "Pretty impressive. I didn't think you had it in you."

"She killed Hylla," Reyna said coldly. She wasn't in the mood to hear any of Isabella's comments. Reyna wasn't in the mood to be lectured, and she sure as hell wasn't in the mood for jokes. Isabella looked down and seemed to think.

"Lighten up, kid. Just try to relax," Isabella finally said. She grabbed Reyna's shoulder as gently as she could and squeezed it. "You just need to rest."

"I can't just rest," Reyna muttered. "We have to do something about the island."

"I know," Isabella said softly. She sat by Reyna and sighed. Reyna closed her eyes. She wasn't sure whether she fell asleep or not, but when she opened her eyes again, Isabella wasn't in the room anymore. Across from her, Nico was sitting up and talking to the demigods.

"Nico, are you okay?" Reyna slowly asked. She knew that Nico wasn't comfortable with what Reyna had done, but Reyna didn't regret it though. She would never regret it. Kendall deserved to suffer, and now, that bitch was rotting in the lowest depths of Tartarus.

Everyone turned to look at Reyna. Nico looked exhausted, and the usage of shadow travel seemed to have the same effect as when they were delivering the Athena Parthenos. Reyna hardly remembered sharing her strength. The only thing she remembered was finally getting her revenge on Kendall, and the only thing after that was pain.

Piper and Jason were looking at Reyna with an odd look. That Leo kid was standing next to the idiot Calypso. Reyna looked away and laid her head back against the bed. The taste of blood was no longer in her mouth. She felt a little stronger but not by much. Would she even be able to stand?

"I'm fine," Nico said. Reyna grinned.

"That's my lie," Reyna muttered. "You feel like shit, right? I do too."

"I feel terrible," Nico admitted. Reyna slowly met his eyes and studied him. Nico was pale and looked weak. "I had a dream too. About Damon. He wanted to find the island and demanded that Arke help him. She just taunted him and said that he could use magic."

"Use magic?" Reyna questioned. "Use magic to what?"

"Arke said that when she used her blood, she opened some kind of seal that was on the door. Now, anyone can go to the island as long as they know where the door is. Arke also said that magic could be used to control the island or even destroy it," Nico said.

"Destroy it," Reyna repeated. She looked at Calypso. "Is that true?"

"Yes," Calypso answered after a few moments. "You can use magic to move the island or destroy it, but there was a reason I asked Chiron for the rod. That much magic would kill a person, and there isn't anyone here that can use magic like that."

"If we had Filinore," Isabella commented as she appeared at the entrance of the hut. Reyna turned her head and looked at her second in command. "Her crew could use magic."

"We don't have time," Reyna muttered. She tried to sit up, but pain tore through her body. She almost yelped and collapsed back against the bed. Reyna placed a hand against her sternum and bit back a whimper. Reyna took shaky breaths and tried to get rid of the pain she felt.

"Damon wants the island," Reyna slowly continued. "He is going to march his entire crew to the island. We have to move it or destroy it."

"What don't you understand?" Calypso demanded. Reyna rolled her eyes. "I can't use magic to control the island. Even if you could, there is no way you are strong enough. You can hardly get to your feet. The only one who could even attempt it was Nico, but he is already halfway to his deathbed!"

Reyna fell silent. They were going to argue until Damon got there. Calypso was too stubborn to realize how much of an idiot she was. That other idiot Leo would side with her, and the demigods would side with him. There was no way Reyna was going to win the argument.

Part of her just wanted to take her ship and sail away. The demigods could fend for themselves, but that would mean Damon would have control of the island. He would be able to do whatever he wanted, and Reyna wasn't going to allow that. Damon wanted the island, and Reyna wanted to destroy all of his hopes and dreams.

Reyna was going to burn Damon's world down. Nemesis warned her not to burn the world down with the Mistveil, but did Reyna care? Her world had already been destroyed. Why would she care about anyone else?

"Fine," Reyna growled. She tried to roll out of bed, but pain tore through her body. Reyna bit her tongue hard enough to draw blood and slowly made it to her feet. Her knees shook, and she almost collapsed. Isabella caught her.

"You need to rest," Isabella ordered. Reyna shook her head. "Now."

"I am not going to just lay around while Damon prepares to lay siege to this island," Reyna growled. Isabella sighed and let go of her. Reyna yelled as she collapsed to the ground, and pain tore through her body.

"Then get up," Isabella ordered. "Or, are you going to see sense? Your body is destroyed. You need to rest."

"Help me up," Reyna ordered. She was shaking from a mixture of anger and pain. Isabella met her eyes and seemed to realize how serious Reyna was. She knelt and grabbed Reyna's arm. After wrapping it around her shoulder, Isabella pulled Reyna to her feet.

Reyna leaned on Isabella and whispered in her ear. She felt Isabella slip something onto her holster. Reyna shoved herself away and stumbled towards the wall. She leaned on it and hissed in pain. Her knee wouldn't support her weight, and her body was shaking from pain. The demigods were all staring at her in a mixture of concern and distrust.

"Show me where the control panel is," Reyna ordered. She looked at Calypso. "If we had the rod, show me where it is supposed to go."

Calypso studied her for a long moment and then shook her head. She turned away. Reyna continued, "Calypso, listen to me. Show me where it is. Now."

"I am not going to show you," Calypso refused. Reyna smirked and took a small step forward. Isabella swept forward and grabbed Piper. She slammed her into the wall and pressed a knife against her jugular. Reyna raised the pistol that Hill had given her.

"You are going to show me," Reyna growled. She aimed the gun right at Nico. "And, you're going to move the island."

"What are you doing?" Jason demanded. He tried to step forward, but Isabella cut slightly into Piper's neck. Her other hand was pressed against Piper's mouth and had the younger girl's head forced against the wall.

"Let her go!" Leo shouted. Fire started in his hands.

"I can fire off six shots before you can do anything boy. At least three of them will hit, but who knows which three of you will be hit," Reyna hissed. Most of her body was shaking but not her arm. "Calypso, show Nico and I where that panel is. Now."

"Reyna, how can you do this?" Nico whispered. He stared at her in shock.

"Shut the fuck up!" Reyna yelled. "Damon wants this damn island, and I am not going to let him have it. This island is going to be destroyed."

"We're not going to let Nico die!" Jason argued.

"Let's make this simple, kiddos. I have this girl trapped. You have ten seconds to listen to my captain. If you don't, I am going to slit Piper's throat," Isabella threatened.

"Reyna, you can't do this. It is going to destroy our friendship," Nico began.

"Do you think that I give a fuck about you?" Reyna demanded. "The only thing I care about is avenging my sister. Is that understood?! Now hurry up!"

Nico stared at Reyna. Then, his eyes narrowed. He slowly made it to his feet. Reyna watched him closely. She motioned with the gun. Nico looked at Calypso and spoke softly, "Lead the way."

"Fine," Calypso said after a moment. She turned and walked out of the hut. Nico followed behind. Reyna forced herself to follow. She didn't care about what the demigods thought. Nico had been her friend, but it was just a friendship as a result of business. Nothing beyond that.

Reyna knew her body couldn't hold up for much longer, but she needed to keep going for just a few more minutes. The three of them walked along the sand. Reyna's feet were starting to drag, but she kept her arm steady.

The three of them walked towards a hut that looked like it hadn't been visited in decades. Calypso flung her arm through some spiderwebs and stepped inside. Reyna followed behind Nico and studied the small room they were in. A golden device was in the middle of the room, and she could see where the rod was supposed to be inserted.

The device was like nothing Reyna had ever seen before, but it looked ancient. Calypso spoke, "Nico can just put his hands to the device, but it will kill him! Don't you care?!"

"If I cared, would I be threatening you?" Reyna snapped. She looked at Nico. "I am going to share my strength with you. I owe you that much but nothing else. Now, how do we destroy this island?"

"We don't have a choice," Nico muttered. He looked at Calypso. "Show me. And Reyna, I won't forget this."

"Just do it," Reyna said. Her vision was starting to turn red from pain, and her knees were shaky. Reyna tried to focus. Nico spoke softly to Calypso. After a moment, Calypso responded. Reyna couldn't hear what they were saying. "Now!"

"Get ready to share your strength," Nico ordered. Reyna nodded and felt her forearm burn. Her knees shook worse, and the gun slipped from her hands. She heard a popping noise, and her world became consumed by red.

Reyna heard the sound of a thud, followed by Calypso calling out Nico's name. Reyna fell to her hands and knees. She tried to keep herself standing. Instead, she collapsed to the ground, and the world disappeared into darkness.
