A/N: Thank you, fritzen and Danielle, for your reviews! I'm always happy to see them. Thank you so much for reading. =) I'm updating early because I have last-minute holiday preparations to do this weekend. Also, I'm going to try and update again on either Monday or Tuesday upcoming since it's Christmas week! Enjoy!

Rounding the corner of the dark hallway, Quinn expected to see signs of Rittenhouse, yet there appeared to be no sign of anyone in the building. He could still hear the rehearsal for the ballet proceeding as usual as the music from the orchestra drifted throughout the building.

Tenley held Lucy's hand tightly while her eyes drifted behind them. No one was following them but she could feel eyes on them - watching their every move, causing the hairs on her body to stand at attention. Her heart raced as she expected someone to come darting out of the shadows to grab them like a horror movie.

Quinn silently ordered them to stop long enough to peer around the corner. His eyes scanned the brightly lit lobby. Aside from an usher speaking with a patron, he didn't see anyone lurking about. Using his hand, he motioned for them to follow as he turned the corner.

Just as they picked up the pace to flee from the building, a familiar frame darted into their path from the revolving door, preventing them from leaving. Emma raised her gun aimed at them. "Leaving so soon?"

Tenley and Lucy noticed Emma looked aged. Her voice was deeper than usual, her reddish hair was streaked with gray patches and there were heavy dark bags under her green eyes, despite that mischievous glint they always carried, with just the beginnings of crow's feet at the corners.

Quinn held his hands out to his side, shielding Lucy and Tenley from Emma's aim. He glared at the red-head. "Don't make a mistake ye'll regret."

Emma smirked. "I've made plenty of them," she stated, her gun firmly aimed at the trio. "This isn't one of them."

"I wouldn't be too certain of that," Quinn retorted, dark eyes narrowing at the woman in a silent challenge.

A familiar voice spoke behind them. "I was wondering when you'd show up."

Glancing over their shoulder behind them, Lucy and Tenley saw Future Wyatt emerging from the dark hallway they had just come from with his gun aimed at them. "Don't fight us," he suggested. "We just need your help - "

"Our help with what?" Lucy asked, hopeful she'd be able to reach the Wyatt she knew.

Quinn growled, "Don't listen to him!"

"Shut up!" Future Emma snapped at him, her grip tightening on her gun as she turned it on Quinn.

Future Wyatt took a small step forward. "We need the Lifeboat," he admitted. "At this point, I'd take any machine but I don't think your... 'friend'... here would be willing to part with his."

"Yer right about that," Quinn growled again through gritted teeth.

"Quinn," Tenley whispered, her tone laced with a warning. She could see the hatred on Future Emma's face and the look of determination on Future Wyatt's. She knew neither one would hesitate to kill any - or all of them - if given the chance.

Future Wyatt cocked his head to the side. Lucy spotted a large reddish scar running down the length of his neck - a scar she had missed previously. She wondered how he got it and if had anything to do with why he was so angry.

Footsteps clicked across the marble floor towards them. "We've isolated the location of the Bloodstone Mothership," a new voice proclaimed, nearing the others.

"Sounds like great news to me," Future Wyatt said with a sly smile, his eyes locked with Lucy's.

Lucy glanced over Quinn's shoulder to where Future Emma stood. Standing next to the red-head was a blonde woman that was all too familiar.

Future Wyatt chuckled as he watched the shock wash across Lucy's face. "You remember my wife, Jessica, don't you?"

Tenley's mouth fell open as her head snapped over to look at Jessica. She blinked at her, shocked to see the dead woman still alive. "What…?"

"Turns out," Future Wyatt began, "Jessica isn't dead like I was told. It was all a ploy...wasn't it, Quinn?"

Tenley turned her gaze from Jessica to Quinn. "What's he talking about?"

Quinn spoke through gritted teeth. "Rittenhouse raised Jessica and staged her death...isn't that right, Emma?"

Lucy's head was swimming as she stared at Jessica with tears in her eyes. Jessica stood beside Future Emma with a smug smile. "Why…"

"Why what?" Future Wyatt asked, a hint of amusement behind his tone. "Why did I go back to Jessica?" He shook his head as Lucy forced herself to look at him. "It's quite simple, really...after your betrayal to me, I left. I knew where I belonged and it wasn't with you and Homeland Security."

Future Emma rolled her eyes. "Can we get this over with?" The group looked at Emma as she spat, "Do what you came here to do...Kill them and let's get their Mothership!"

Lucy stared at Future Wyatt. "You wouldn't hurt us -"

Future Wyatt blinked at her, jaw tensing. "You hurt me-"

"Yes, yes," Future Emma cut him off, her voice growing annoyed. "We all get it! You two lovebirds had a falling out after Princess Lucy hid her beloved child from Soldier Boy Wyatt...blah blah blah. We're wasting time here, Wyatt! Kill her and let's do what we came here for!"

Future Wyatt lifted his gun, aiming it across the trio in the middle to Future Emma. "Shut up!" he warned her. "We're doing this my way-"

Emma chortled. "Bold," she said with a sardonic smile. Her green eyes drifted over to Lucy. "Has he told you that he kills you for your betrayal yet?"

Lucy's brown eyes widened. Tenley felt Lucy's grip on her hand tighten and tremble. Quinn backed into them, wrapping his hands around them as he slowly inched their way out of the way of Future Wyatt and Emma.

"Shut up!" Future Wyatt warned, gun fully trained on the red-head, ignoring the trio moving aside. "If you don't, it will be the last thing you do for Rittenhouse- "

With a raised eyebrow, Future Emma scoffed at his threat. "I don't think so."

"Let's find out," Future Wyatt retorted as he pulled the trigger.

As the gun fired, Future Emma grabbed Jessica, tugging her in front of her to use as a human shield. The bullet pierced through Jessica's chest near the center of her chest. Future Emma held onto Jessica as she backed away from the group and towards the exit of the building.

Future Wyatt released a guttural scream, "No!"

Future Emma shoved the lifeless body of Jessica away from her as she bolted from the building, letting the woman hit the marble floor with a thud.

Quinn hissed at Lucy and Tenley, "We have to go now!"

As they followed Quinn out of the building, Lucy's eyes remained locked on Future Wyatt. He crumpled to the marble floor on his knees, clutching his dead wife in his arms, rocking back and forth, tears pouring from his eyes as the pained sobs echoed loudly in the lobby. His trembling hands brushed her blonde hair out of Jessica's lifeless face. It was at that moment, Lucy spotted the woman's very pregnant belly. Tears welled behind her eyes as she fought back the bile that slowly rose in her chest as it churned violently in her stomach.

Quinn forced the two out of the building, into the heavy rain that poured down upon them. He led them through the city as quickly as he could, knowing if Future Wyatt regained his composure, it wouldn't matter who his target was.

The three darted into the wharf as Quinn pushed open the heavy steel doors, allowing the two women to slip into the old musty warehouse. He followed, releasing his hold on the doors. They slammed shut, echoing loudly within the massive building. The only thing inside was the dark-colored Mothership.

"What...What happened?" Lucy stammered. She ran her hands down her rain-soaked face as she sobbed. "She was pregnant! Oh my God…"

Tenley's brows knitted together. "What?" Her head snapped up to look at Quinn. "What is she talking about?" She noticed Quinn seemed unfazed by the revelation of Jessica's condition. She approached him, grabbing his arm at the elbow, forcing him to look at her. "What is she talking about, Quinn?"

Quinn sighed, brushing his wet hair out of his face. The water raced down his scarred cheeks. His dark eyes held Tenley's as he admitted, "Jessica was pregnant."

"You knew?" Tenley questioned.

He nodded. "Aye," he told her. "We knew Jessica was pregnant..." he held her gaze as he added, "with Jack…"

Tenley's breath hitched as she gasped. "Jack?" Memories of Jack came rushing forward. She remembered the familiar chiseled features of Jack but it was his piercing blue eyes that reminded her of Wyatt and what convinced her of his story. She felt the searing pain in her lower abdomen as the memory of him shooting her in the dark, stormy forest during the Pulaski disaster came back to her. Then the words he spoke into her ear that night before he pulled the trigger - 'Your mother sends her regards' came rushing back to her. Tenley's mind zeroed in on that memory, realizing through the wind and rain, that wasn't what he said at all. As the memory replayed in her head over and over again, his words became clearer. 'My mother sends her regards'.

Quinn nodded solemnly. "I'd never condone killing a child, let alone a pregnant woman..." he sighed heavily, shoulders slumping forward, "Jessica was never our target..."

"Did you know Emma was going to do this?" Lucy asked in between sobs, her hand against her heart.

He shook his head, meeting her sad gaze. "No," he admitted. "I personally wouldn't have brought her along in her condition...I'm honestly shocked Wyatt did…"

"Tenley?" Lucy called out, noticing the distracted doctor. She wiped the tears from her face as she stared at her.

Quinn turned his attention back to Tenley, placing his hand on her shoulder as he neared. "Tenley?"

Tenley blinked, allowing the tears to cascade down her cheeks. She lifted her dark eyes to meet Quinn's. "Did he... " she swallowed as her voice cracked before she could speak, "Did Jack know who I was, or did he really confuse me with Lucy?"

Quinn's head tilted slightly to the side. "From our reports, he did confuse ye… what are ye thinking?"

"I'm remembering that night on the Pulaski," she admitted. "I think I misheard him back then…"

"What are you talking about?" Lucy asked, nearing her. "What- When he shot you?"

Tenley nodded, locking eyes with Lucy. "This whole time, I was convinced he whispered 'your mother sends her regards'...and he made me believe he was talking about Carol when I asked him about it but..." she shook her head, blinking the tears away again. "I think I know now that he said 'my mother sends her regards'...His mother - Jessica…" When Tenley looked between Quinn and Lucy, she added, "Jessica was after Lucy that mission… not Carol like he made me believe…" she scoffed, shaking her head again. "We've been under the impression this whole time that Carol was looking to kill Lucy when...When it was Wyatt and Jessica this whole time…"

Quinn saw both women slowly crumble with the weight of the truth. He gently squeezed Tenley's shoulder. "We have to go now."

Tenley nodded aimlessly as she turned her gaze back to a heartbroken Lucy. She felt the guilt rising within her as she saw Lucy's expression shatter into hurt and anguish. Tenley watched from a distance as Quinn helped Lucy into his dark time machine. Lucy fought against the sobs that clearly threatened to come.

As Tenley climbed into the time machine, she glanced out to take in the surroundings, to say goodbye to the world. She started to question if she was going to fade out from existence once more - this time never to return.
