Welcome back to Prophecy of Masks. Last time, Spyro and Cynder's wedding was about to commence, but just as everything appeared to be going well, the last of Malefor's forces readied an attack. But they weren't the only ones getting ready, as Kuuga was apparently on his way to warn them, though not before he's ambushed by a bunch of Grublins. So what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...
(Our story resumes exactly where it left off, with Kuuga being attacked by Grublins, and just as expected, he's making short work of them. But that's when more of them show up, and Kuuga realizes he's outclassed)
Kuuga: Well then, time to power up. (Aside) Arcle, don't fail me now!
(With his silent moment known, a strange silver belt materializes around his waist, with a red stone in the center, with blue, red, green, and violet button looking stones moving from right to left on either side of it)
Kuuga: (Thrusting an arm in front of him while moving it slowing from left to right, with the other tucked against the side of the Arcle) Henshin!
(With the famous battle cry uttered, Kuuga brings in his extended arm so his hands meet, which causes a black and red armor with golden accents, a gilded horn crest, and giant red eyes to materialize on him as he strikes an action stance)
Kuuga: Much better.
(With that, Kuuga rushes back into battle and within a few seconds, the Grublins attacking him are finished.
Kuuga: That's them down, now to intercept that army, before it's too late!
(As Kuuga runs towards the Temple, we transition to within it, where literally every Kamen Rider that Spyro and Cynder have worked with so far are indeed gathered for this singular event. Most of them are seated as guests, but there are a few exceptions. Notably Kabuto and Zolda in chef's gear prepping final plates for the reception, Baron in an apron putting the finishing touches on the cake, while Kiva and Hibiki are stood near the altar, with their respective instruments set up, ready to provide music for the affair, before we see Ignitus, Woz, Geiz, and Tsukuyomi are already at the altar, with Geiz specifically bearing the rings, awaiting the cue for the ceremony to begin. As the group readies themselves, we see Decade and Diend standing by the doors to the room, and as soon as everybody settles into their seats, they give the cue for everything to begin. Hibiki and Kiva start playing a duet rendition of Mendelssohn's Wedding March as Decade and Diend open the doors as everyone rises to see Spyro and Cynder, clad in their formal best, walking down the aisle towards the altar, where Ignitus stands ready to conduct everything, just as the duo arrives before him)
Ignitus: (As everyone is seated and the music ends) Dearly beloved and allies treasured, we are gathered here today by the blessings of the Ancestors to bring together Spyro and Cynder in the bonds of sacred matrimony. If there is anyone who deems this union should not be ordained, speak now or forever hold your peace.
(At this point, just as Decade and Diend have closed the doors to the chamber, the doors fly open again just as the two of them get out of the way, revealing Kuuga standing there out of breath, catching everyone's attention)
Ignitus: (Not recognizing Kuuga) What is the meaning of this?! Who are you?
Decade: (Recognizing Kuuga) Yuusuke?
Kuuga: (Holding up the jacket from earlier) Not the same one you know. (Throwing the jacket to Decade, then to Spyro and Cynder) Sorry to interrupt the festivities, but we're about to have a really big problem coming our way.
Spyro: A Kamen Rider?
Cynder: Must be one of the ones we haven't fought with yet, I've never seen him before.
Woz: (Overhearing this conversation) He's not just any Kamen Rider, milady. He's the first of his era. The one who inspired all those who we have encountered to date.
Ignitus: Are you serious?
Kuuga: I saw the army forming with my own eyes, particularly the legion that was dispatched to kill me. Trust me, I wouldn't lie about that, especially knowing about you two. Believe me, I've been observing all of your actions from afar. And I will say, I'm impressed with what I'm seeing. But...
(But before Kuuga can say anything, the one of the nearby walls explodes, revealing Oma Zi-O, Apollo Geist, N-Daguva-Zeba, and an army of Grublins behind them)
Spyro: Looks like your point just got proven.
Oma Zi-O: (Seeing exactly what's going on) Ah, a wedding. How sweet. (As the Mark of Malefor glows upon his left hand) Hope this counts as my objection.
Cynder: (Throwing off her gown and standing ready for combat) Objection overruled.
Spyro: (Throwing off his formal robes as well) Your intrusion will not stand.
Oma Zi-O: Well, too bad. (To his fellows) Zeba, Geist, I leave this in your hands.
N-Daguva-Zeba: (As the Mark of Malefor glows upon his face) Gladly.
Apollo Geist: (As the Mark of Malefor glows upon his boot) No issue here.
(And with that, as Oma Zi-O disappears, the battle begins, with the various Riders in the scene primarily handling the Grublins, without even needing to transform, leaving Spyro, Cynder and Kuuga to deal with N-Daguva-Zeba and Apollo Geist. The battle is a draw at first, but then the two villains get an advantage when Kuuga starts for some reason channeling lightning into his suit, but ultimately it dissipates before it can hit any effective charge)
Kuuga: (Revealing this isn't normal) What the...? What's going on?!
N-Daguva-Zeba: (As the Mark of Malefor glows upon his face) A new trick I picked up since I was revived. No amount of power you can channel will get you beyond your red state. And thus, you've got nothing to defeat me.
(His power revealed, N-Daguva-Zeba proceeds to start kicking Kuuga's tail, all the while the red warrior is trying to generate any amount of charge. Meanwhile Spyro and Cynder are holding their own against Apollo Geist, when Spyro sees Kuuga's almost down. He turns to Cynder, and with a nod she realizes what he's up to. Seeing this, Spyro heads off to aid Kuuga)
Apollo Geist: Looks like your "beloved" has abandoned you.
Cynder: On the contrary. I just wanted to pay you back for stabbing me through the heart. Personally.
(And as Cynder just starts wrecking Apollo Geist, we turn our attention to Kuuga's battle, where N-Daguva-Zeba actually has a heel to his throat)
N-Daguva-Zeba: Just admit your defeat. Without your other powers, you are worthless against me.
(Just as N-Daguva-Zeba is about to crush Kuuga's neck, a bolt of lightning strikes, knocking the villain to the ground as Spyro arrives)
Spyro: (To Kuuga) You may not be able to summon your lightning due to his influence. (Channels lightning into his claws) How about borrowing some of mine then?
Kuuga: If you're sure that'll work.
Apollo Geist: (Seeing where this is going) Not on my watch!
(With that, Apollo Geist snaps his fingers, somehow causing an Aurora Curtain to form, sweeping over the field and transporting himself, Spyro, Cynder, Kuuga, and N-Daguva-Zeba to locations unknown, leaving the Grublins to keep wrecking shop. But Decade saw it all, and knowing how those curtains work, he picked up on something the rest didn't.)
Decade: (Turning to Diend) Think you can handle things here?
Diend: And where are you off to in such a rush?
Decade: Let's just say I know where they've gone. (Pulling out his Neo Decadriver) And I owe Apollo Geist a few bruises.
Diend: (Realizing it) Go get them.
(With that, Decade summons an Aurora Curtain of his own and vanishes through it as our tale ends for today)
And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. Next time, the finale of the Kuuga Arc. So, where did Apollo Geist take everyone? Will Spyro's electric charge plan work? What's Decade's plan? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
