Todoroki
It had been a few weeks since I last realized that he had had a nightmare. I'd like to believe that they had decreased, but considering how proud he's, he probably doesn't even want to admit how often they occur.
– You're good? – that night he looked distracted
– Yes … – he replied vaguely. I didn't want to force him to talk about something he might not be comfortable with and then get mad at me, but I was frustrated that he didn't say anything about it.
– Katsu ... – hiscell phone began to ring.
– It's my old gag – making a face. – I'll be back in a moment – going out to his balcony. She doesn't usually call him at this time. Is it any sign not to discuss the subject tonight? – FINE! – Yes, definitely. As angry as he is, it's best to wait for another chance. – The witch wants me to come to the house this weekend. – Leaving his cell phone on the nightstand
– She must miss her puppy – giving me a contemptuous look.
– Before I answered, it seemed like you were going to tell me something – settling under the covers.
– No ... it's nothing. – turning off the light at my side. I put my arms around him until I heard him doze, then I came up with the idea of staying awake in case he had another nightmare.
I moved slightly to the side, trying not to wake him up, and reached for the book I had taken days before. I started reading it from the beginning, realizing that some annotations had been written, regarding All Might's abilities and… Midoriya? I suppose that, since they both admire the retired hero, he may have appreciated some similarities between his childhood friend and the teacher, although judging by how he spelled various insults before or after the nickname he usually referred to as the green-haired guy, I don't think the boy knows of the existence of this book.
The clock read 2 am and I was losing the battle to stay awake. At one point I created some ice that I melted to refresh my face, but I still continued to give in to my exhaustion. Gradually, I began to nod from side to side as my eyelids felt heavy. I was beginning to lose track of space when a series of jerks manifested to my left.
My senses revived as soon as I saw how the blond was fighting an invisible force that interrupted his sleep cycle, clenching his fists against the pillow he was clinging to. How heavy do I have to sleep not to have realized it before?
Between low grunts and ragged breaths, I tried to wake him up only to have him jerk away. He had started to sweat and I began to fear that if I woke him up unexpectedly, he might cause an unintentional explosion.
Then I thought of passing my right hand down his back slowly lowering the temperature, I was not sure what I was doing, but the desired effect seemed to emerge. His breathing began to regulate and his movements slowed down. His eyes slowly widened, disoriented.
– Why are you awake? – sitting up in bed, covering a yawn with his hand – Were you planning to harass me while I slept again? – I worried about you, and that's what you think of me? Although, considering that he seemed to be in a good mood from the comment, it may be my chance to address the issue that has us awake now in the first place.
– Katsuki... – I started without having any idea how to continue – What I didn't tell you before, has to do with...
– Don't stop, bicolor – resting his elbow on his knee
– It has to do with the nightmares you have, like the one you had just now – his smile faded and I was afraid I had struck a chord, but I had already started and I wasn't going to stop until I knew what was happening.
– It was just a nightmare – Moving with the intention of going back to bed
– I know it is not the first time – taking his hand – Do you think I haven't noticed?
– You're exaggerating. – He wasn't planning on giving in, and neither did I. Just as he chased away my anxiety attacks, I wanted to be the one to help him deal with his fears, at least some of them.
– Tell me what worries you – taking his face in my hands – With me you don't have to pretend to be strong. – My thumbs caressed his cheeks.
– I don't pretend, I am. – I couldn't help but smile at the comment, but it was having an effect. – Sometimes I remember the incident with the mud villain ... – It was a remarkable event, considering that it involved the Symbol of Peace and two high school students. I never would have imagined that I would end up sharing a classroom with them later. When I looked at him more closely, his hands had become fists, and his voice was strained. – ... Sometimes, when ... I was kidnapped by LOV ... It's as if they take turns torturing me at night – he said letting out an uncomfortable laugh. – Why is this happening…? Shoto! – he uttered with a strangled sound
– It's not your fault – stroking his head, which was now attached to my chest.
– It bothers me to breathe – releasing it from my grip
– Sorry – arranging his hair. – Only, as you helped me overcome my anxiety, I want you to know that I am also here for you. – Joining my forehead to his. – talk to me
– You are very cloying, bicolor – throwing himself on me – I will. – He had his face settled on my collarbone, and despite not seeing his eyes, I knew he was being sincere. My hands began to stroke his hair, and then my stomach began to rustle.
– I'm hungry – I said heavily
– What a time for cravings – looking at me
– Seeking your well–being whet my appetite – moving it aside – Let's go get something to eat.
– "Let's go" sounds like a lot of people – I was already standing in front of him
– You owe me – pretending to be angry
– Good. It's a credit for later. – lying down again
– Katsuki!
– It's okay. – Getting up.
– I want strawberry milk
– You are like a child
– You like it too – giving him a kiss on the cheek
We went down to the kitchen, trying to make the least amount of noise. While I like to drink it cold, the blonde likes it almost boiling, so I thought about using the kettle. A simple object like this shouldn't be a problem, and it still caused my muscles to tense.
– You don't have to – taking the chrome object from my hands, I thought about paying attention, but then what I said would have been in vain
– I can't tell you that I want to help you overcome your fears if I don't learn to deal with mine in the process – taking it out of his hands. I placed the object under the faucet, and filled it halfway, a few seconds later it was on the stove. I felt Katsuki's eyes on the back of my neck. – I'm fine
– We'll see that in a few minutes – leaning back from the breakfast nook
I went to the cupboard to get the container that contained the powdered milk and the flavoring with the smell, color and flavor of strawberry.
– It's almost empty – no wonder it was so light
– The four eyes carried a container in the pantry of the washing area
– Why is it in the laundry area?
– Because it has three or more words in the name.
– What does that mean?
– And how the hell am I going to know? – approaching me. – Don't pretend me to understand the head of someone who arranges the kitchen utensils and everything he finds in alphabetical order. – He took the container, and put the little remains of the pink powder to his mouth and then put the container in the trash can. – I'll go find him. Don't miss me – tilting his head, with a mischievous smile.
I really want to think that he's not trying to be strong, that with that smile he disguises fears that he doesn't want to admit. I know it won't be easy to talk about something that may take more time than I think, but I want to be sure.
Leaning against the door frame, I could see that his sweater rose a little every time he tried to reach one of the cupboards, showing his waist for a few seconds... I must concentrate!
– Need help? – getting closer to him
– Of course, not – triumphantly taking the pink container from a basket. – Did you feel lonely out there? – returning the wicker object to its place
– I would be lying if I say no – detailing the strawberries on the product wrapper
– You don't have to worry – placing his hand on my head
– How do you ...?
– You are very easy to read – taking my cheeks. I still thought that these were nothing more than evasive maneuvers. I put the flavoring aside
– I don't want you to pretend to be fine – taking his face
– I don't do it. – approaching me – Just give me time.
– Katsuki
– Trust me – joining my forehead to his.
The smell of caramel that gave off his skin along with the sweet fragrance of strawberries did not take long to cause effects. His lips shortly after were on mine, making slow movements; they tasted subtly berry, which sent my hands to the back of his neck to make sure I could savor it longer. His hands wrinkled my sweater where they clung, causing occasional tugs. We oscillated trying to avoid brushing our noses while our breaths collided each time; he had managed to make me dependent on his lips more than I ever thought to do with anything.
– We must check the kettle – I announced between gasps
– Hearing you say that, is a great advance – commented with a smile before returning to join our lips; I didn't want to get away from him.
Suddenly, a dry noise forced us to separate and no one could imagine what it meant that, of all people, he was the one who saw us.
Cliffhangers are never too many.
Fact # 58
Yes, to think that Bakugou overcame the events he suffered is something very inhuman. Just because he doesn't admit it doesn't mean he hasn't been affected.
