"Hi, I tried to call you."
"I didn't hear my phone."
"I brought some baby stuff for Karen and the twins. How are they?"
"They're fine. My aunt-in-law is here. Maya and Olivia's sister are moving to DC. Ms. Sophia is really loud."
"Your aunt-in-law? I'd like to meet her."
"Ms. Sophia come in here!"
"I can meet her another time if she's busy."
"Who are you?"
"Here she is." Fitz said.
"You're Olivia's Aunt Sophia?"
"Yes. Olivia is my niece. Who are you?"
"Isla. Fitz mom."
"Okay. You can call me Ms. Sophia."
"Hello. Ms. Sophia."
"Do you have a husband?"
"No."
"My sister keeps having babies without a husband. I thought she would get some sense after she had Olivia, but she had two more babies. My mom said Maya doesn't need a husband and most men are nothing but a headache. My niece found a good man. Fitz is nice."
"Who said that?" Fitz asked Sophia.
"My mom and grandma."
"Aunt Sophia it's story time!" Olivia said.
"I'm going to read Goodnight Moon to my niece. Maybe we can get a coffee sometime Isla."
Isla laughed. She needed a good laugh after a long day in the emergency room.
"Is Maya still in the hospital?" Isla asked Fitz.
"Olivia says she is going home tomorrow. The twins will be in the hospital a few months."
Fitz offered Isla a seat. Olivia joined them a few minutes later.
"Hello."
"I met your Aunt Sophia."
"It's like Amelia having a twin. I'm exhausted."
"I brought some baby stuff for Karen and the twins."
"Thank you. My mom will appreciate your kindness."
"I'm sure Maya is overwhelmed with the twins."
"My mom was going to take Amelia and Sophia to Disney World for Thanksgiving. Those plans are cancelled."
"You'll have a nanny in a few days."
"Thank you. I can go get my master's degree."
"Are you changing your career?"
"I'm getting a master's degree in psychology. I don't know what I'm going to do with it. I want to finish my education before my 30's."
"I will never understand the rush to finish everything in your 20's. I think you should focus more on your health."
"What's that noise?" Olivia asked Fitz.
"It's coming from the kitchen."
Fitz followed Olivia. The kitchen light was off. The glass cookie jar was shattered. A pile of cookies was on the floor.
"Uh oh." Sophia said, standing on the kitchen counter.
"You broke my cookie jar."
"It fell."
Olivia helped Sophia off the counter and away from the glass.
"Go to sleep. Now."
"I'm sorry Olivia."
"Goodnight Sophia."
"Aunt Sophia." Fitz teased.
"Look at all this glass." Olivia said.
"I'll sweep the floor, and I'll pour you a glass of wine."
"Thanks."
"I'll call you later Fitz. It's a cookie jar Olivia. No big deal. I'll get you another glass jar for Christmas." Isla said.
"Thank you."
Isla shrugged, "I always bought plastic cookie jars. Fitz has dropped it a few times."
Fitz laughed, "Goodnight mom."
