Just as Bertram was about to stab Stewie, Dipper pulled his magic flashlight out of his backpack and zapped Bertram. Bertram shrank down to the size of an ant.
"Thanks, Dipper," Stewie gasped.
"No problem," said Dipper.
"Where'd he go?" Mabel was scrabbling around on the cave floor looking for Bertram, but she couldn't see him anywhere.
"Ah, don't worry about it," said Stewie. "The size he is now, he can't possibly do us any harm." He turned to Bran. "Take me back into the past. I want to see the rest of that scene I was watching."
But when he warged back into the roots of the tree, he didn't pick up where he had left off. Instead, he found himself experiencing a totally different vision. Unlike the others he'd seen, this one appeared to be from the future, because Stewie certainly didn't remember it from his past.
He saw himself in his wheelchair, sitting by a grave and crying. The name on the headstone read "Theon Greyjoy."
When he came back to the present, he asked Bran about the vision. "That can't have been real, can it? That can't possibly be the real future I saw."
"Well, there's only one past, but infinite possible futures," Bran said. "You can't change the past, because it's already happened, but the future is determined by your own actions. So, when you see a vision of the past, you can be sure it's real, but if you see the future, you can't always be certain it's going to come true."
"I would never mourn for Theon. He betrayed my family and kicked me out of my house! I'll never forgive him for that!"
"Never say never," Bran said. "Remember, I once experienced all the same events you're experiencing now. Theon Greyjoy did the same thing to me once, and I forgave him."
Stewie shook his head. "You must have a better soul than me, mate, because I don't see what good there is in that boy."

Meryn Trant was leaving the Bravosi brothel when he heard a voice calling his name. He turned and saw Meg standing in an alley nearby. He thought she looked familiar, but didn't realize who she was.
"What do you want?" Meryn asked.
"Come over here," Meg said.
Meryn stepped into the alleyway, confused as to what this was all about. Meg led him further down into the alley, out of sight of passersby on the street. Then she pulled out a knife and stabbed him in both eyes and his chest!
"Why did you do that?" Meryn cried. "Who are you?"
"A girl is no one," Meg said as she slit his throat. One more name down. Three more to go.
After killing Meryn, she returned to the House of Black and White.
It was deserted when she got there, but a few minutes later Mask and Consuela arrived. "An otter has just come from the market," Mask said. "An otter saw the thin man walking around alive and well. Guess he wasn't hungry for oysters today."
"Guess not," said Meg, trying to hide her nervousness.
"Or maybe," Mask said, "a girl did not kill the thin man today because she was busy killing someone else!"
Consuela grabbed Meg by the arms. "Meester Meryn Trant's life was not yours to take. A debt must be paid!"
Meg struggled in her grasp. "Let go of me!"
"No… no… no," Consuela said.
Mask produced a vial of poison from his pocket. Meg thought he was going to force her to drink it, but instead, the otter drank the vial himself. Meg watched, horrified, as he collapsed to the floor.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Meg shouted as she wrested herself free of Consuela and rushed to Mask's side. "You can't die, Mask. You're my friend."
"He is no one," Mask's voice said from behind her. Meg looked up to see Mask standing where Consuela had been. But when she looked back down, Mask was still lying on the floor.
"If you're Mask, then who's that down there?" Meg asked.
"He is no one," Mask said again.
Meg touched the face of the dead creature on the floor… and it came away in her hand! Underneath the otter face was the face of a man with a scar on his chin. But this was a false face too. Meg pulled it away to reveal Consuela's face beneath. Underneath Consuela's face was the face of a fox. Then a squirrel. Meg kept pulling faces away…
Until she saw her own face.
And then, next thing she knew, she couldn't see anything at all. She screamed for help, realizing she had gone blind.
