Volpsei carried me into the Pokemon Center, with Ruby close behind us. The Charizard flew off, and was likely to get dad to a police station to have him arrested. The Center was filled to the brim with people and Pokemon, was Mom and Snowy even in this one? In Lumiose, it's such a big city that there's about five of them. Each placed on opposite ends of the city, or right in the center like this one. The Pokemon Center we were in looked like it could barely handle all of the patients that kept flooding in. Volpsei carried me over to the video phones; they were all taken up, "well, guess we have to wait."

I slid off of Volpsei's back and just sat on the floor, "get some rest Volpsei, we're gonna be waiting here for awhile by the looks of it." the Ninetales nodded, before taking his seat next to me. Ruby laid down next to me, "we could get to our hotel…" chances were that it was destroyed. That reminded me that I left the rest of my Pokemon inside of that hotel room, "shit!" I got to my feet and took off, ignoring the fact that I shouldn't be running with how my leg was at the moment.

Both of the Pokemon that were with me were hot on my trail.

Oasis's POV=

I slithered down the street alongside the rest of Davaid's Pokemon, "you think Davaid's alright? Asked Axl, he looked left and right, "I'm sure he is, knowing how protective Snowy is of him, he's for sure alright." that was a bit too hopeful on my end. The street we were heading down was completely destroyed, and there was a slight amount of doubt Snowy could take on something that could do all of this.

"You two shouldn't be too worried, Davaid seems like a decently tough trainer," chirped Latios. He technically wasn't even Davaid's Pokemon, but tagged along anyway.

The Eon Dragon looked up, "well, no point in wondering if he's safe or not, we'll find out when we find him," we then heard shoes hitting concrete at a rather fast pace.

"Hey guys!" Davaid was running towards us, he was running, which was a surprise to me. Wasn't his leg broken? Wasn't he supposed to have his crutches? Running isn't really what I would use to describe how he was moving either. More like a half run and half limp. My trainer damn near tripped when he came to a stop, but I stopped his momentum with my tail, "thanks Oasis." he scratched the back of his head with a smile.

Behind him was Volpsei and Ruby, "haven't seen Davaid run like that before, even before his leg was broken," said Volpsei, he still had his usual Vulpix-like grin like he wasn't standing in the ruined streets of Lumiose. Davaid started rubbing my jaw, "are you hurt?" he asked, I shook my head, "good to hear bud," he gave my jaw one more scratch before checking on Axl and Latios.

After our trainer was done making sure we weren't injured, I pulled him in a wrap, I wasn't letting him walk. Not until we get told by the doctor that he has, "where is Snowy?" I asked Volpsei. The Ninetales shrugged, "I think she's with Davaid's Mom, but other than that, I don't know where she is."

Ruby's POV=

I turned around when I heard something skid to the stop, "I found Snowy," I said with a grin. Davaid's mother was right behind the Ninetales, "Davaid!" both Snowy and his mother then started going off on him for running with a broken leg for a solid minute.

"How did you two get away from Team Flare?" Snowy asked.

Davaid's POV=

Volpsei looked me in the eyes after Snowy asked that question, "just tell her you and Ruby fought your way free, I found you, then guided you out of the hideout." he said. That is exactly what I told Snowy, "I see," the Ninetales walked over to Volpsei and licked his forehead. Before promptly going off on him for running into Team Flare's hideout.

Snowy's POV=

"What were you thinking running into Team Flare's hideout?" I shouted. Volpsei wasn't much of a battler, so him running into a place like that on his own could have likely gotten him killed. The Ninetales' facial expression fell for a bit, "I'm glad you did, or Davaid would still likely be lost in that hell hole, but next time don't do something so reckless. Okay?" Volpsei nodded, "now, let's try and get into a Pokemon Center that's not quite as full."

"And Davaid," he turned his attention to me, "I'm glad you made it out of the Team Flare hideout in one piece." that's when he flashed a thumbs' up, "of course I would! I've got Ruby with me, and she's the strongest Houndoom I know." Ruby's eyes widened for a second, before simply barking. Davaid wiggled out of Oasis's grip, then wrapped an arm around her.

Ruby's POV=

To think that only a couple of months ago, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with a trainer. Davaid simply gave me his praises and sat on the sidewalk while doing so. I felt a bit guilty for taking Volpei's spotlight, given that he was the one who fought to stop me from hurting Davaid. It was only then did I actually fight that pathetic excuse of a trainer. If anything, Volpsei and I should share it. One look at the Ninetales told me he didn't mind, and was just contempt that this whole mess was over.

Davaid's mother clapped to get our attention, "I think after we get some rest, we're going to head home." she said.

"Wait what?"

Davaid's POV=

Wait what?" no way did Mom come all this way just to give up right? "Today was far too hectic and I just want to head home. After everything my Pokemon have done, and after today I am perfectly fine with just giving up on the Pokemon League. There's always next time anyways."

She then patted Snowy on the ground, "Snowy agrees, she just wants to get some rest, and take a break from battling for a while." I couldn't really talk Mom into going for the win this year. How could I when that was also what I wanted to do?

a couple of days later=

"Are you packed up Davaid?" I nodded, now with a new set of crutches, and my bags packed up, I was ready to head home.

Ruby got to my side, "ready Ruby?" she barked. All that was left was the road home.

a day later=

As we stepped into Santalune Forest a chill ran down my spine, and was hit with a bit of nostalgia. We were almost home, and this was where Ruby and I met. As we walked down the path, I could see the bare trap Ruby had been in when I bumped into her. It was closed, laid on a tree, and still had dried blood on it.

"Davaid, why are you staring at that bear trap?" Mom asked, "well, let's just say if it weren't for that trap," I patted Ruby on the head, "I likely wouldn't have met this crazy Houndoom," that was all Mom needed to know that this random, rusted bear trap was important.

Ruby nudged my hand, "yeah girl?" her tail was wagging like crazy, and her eyes were sticking to mine like glue. Then imitated the face she made when I bumped into her on that fateful night, this time with a hint of playfulness. We both laughed it off, and then hurried to catch up with Mom, Snowy, and Volpsei.

And that's the Kalos Arc folks. I'd like to thank you for reading, i'll see you all later with the Alola Arc(in maybe a couple of weeks idk)
