"But I can't leave now!" Stewie protested. "There's still so much I have to learn! I don't know what Bill's scheme is, I didn't see what the fat man found in that tower…"
"You don't need me to access those visions," Bran told him. "You can also travel into the past by pressing the palm of your hand against a heart tree. Heart trees grow all over Westeros."
"But what about you?" Stewie asked. "I can't just leave you here!"
"Don't worry about me," said Bran. "I've had a good run. You must be the three-eyed raven now." He reached out and clutched Stewie's hand in his. "My sisters, Sansa and Arya, are back in Westeros now. When you get south of the Wall again, find them. They'll help you…"
Suddenly, Stewie's eyes whitened. He had slipped into another vision!
Dipper shook him. "Stewie, snap out of it!" But Stewie didn't hear him. In his mind, he was back at Winterfell, watching a younger version of his father preparing to head off to the Vale as a ward.
Just then, a bunch of wights began dropping through the roots at the top of the cave. Now that Stewie had Bill's mark on him, they could get inside!
Leaf, the child of the forest who had directed them to the cave, handed two dragonglass-tipped spears to Dipper and Mabel. "Here! Use these to fight them off!"
Dipper and Mabel fought the wights alongside the children of the forest. But Hodor didn't. He was too frightened to move!
A White Walker entered the cave. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" he said. Mabel thrust her spear through his heart, killing him.
"Nice shot, Mabel!" said Dipper.
"We can't hold them off forever!" said Leaf.
"Help us, Hodor!" said Mabel. But Hodor was still just standing there, petrified.

Meanwhile, Stewie was watching young Peter climb onto his horse. His family was gathered around him and so was Hodor, who was known as Willis back then. "Goodbye, Pete," Willis was saying, waving to Peter.
"Goodbye, Willis," said Peter.

Back in the real time, Mabel ran up to Stewie. "Warg into him!" she shouted in his face. "Warg into Hodor!"
"Listen to Mabel, Stewie," Bran said calmly.
At last, their words got through to Stewie. He warged into Hodor… but since he was still in the vision, he also warged into the young Hodor from the past!
The Hodor in the cave put Stewie's body on a sled that was nearby. "Take him out the back," Bran called. "There's another exit there."
Hodor started hauling Stewie down the tunnel on the sled. Dipper and Mabel followed.
Suddenly, Bill Cipher appeared in the cave. "I've got you now, Stewie Griffin!"
"You'll never win, Bill," Bran said. "Right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."
Bill turned on Bran. "Who asked you, huh?" He zapped Bran with his eye laser. That was the end of Bran Stark.
But that gave Leaf time to create a distraction. She used her magic to cause a huge explosion, buying Dipper, Mabel, Stewie and Hodor enough time to get to a wooden door at the end of the tunnel.
With some difficulty, Hodor pushed the door open and pulled Stewie through. The Pines twins dashed out after them. Hodor threw himself against the door and pushed it shut again just as the wights approached.
"Hold the door, Hodor!" Stewie yelled. "Hold the door!"
Hodor heard him… but the Hodor back in the past heard it too. "Hold the door," he started saying over and over. "Hold the door."
"Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" said young Peter. "There's no door here. We're outside!"
But Willis kept saying it, until it lost all meaning. "Hold the door... holdthedoor...hold-da-dor...hol-dor...hodor...hodor..." He fell to the ground and started having a seizure. Stewie realized that this was the moment that Hodor lost the power of normal speech, and it was his fault! This shock jerked Stewie out of his vision and back into the real world.
Dipper and Mabel took control of the sled and started pulling Stewie away as fast as they could. Hodor felt Stewie slip out of his mind. He saw Stewie and the twins escaping into the cover of the snowstorm. A look of grave determination appeared on his face and he leaned hard into the door again.
Eventually, the wights began to break through the wood and started stabbing and scratching at Hodor. But he didn't care. He was buying time for his friends to get away. His dying thought was happiness that Stewie, Dipper and Mabel would survive.
