I'm really trying my best to stay clear of these angst filled, married life chapters. But there's just so much potential in them!

Anyway, have a Kronya Chapter. Because apparently I can only write about a select few girls.

Sorry.

Enjoy.

"Kronya!"

She came to, where was she? What was she doing? She looked down, she was on top of someone. A man, she was holding a dagger in her hand, prepared to thrust it down to stab the man. But he was holding her wrist, preventing her from sticking the knife into his throat. But who was this man? His green hair looked so familiar...

Wait, she knew who this was. This was her husband.

This was Byleth.

Her eyes widened in horror, and she pushed herself up and away from Byleth, standing up from the bed and cowering back from him. She looked down at the knife in her hand and threw it against the wall as if it was the most disgusting thing she'd ever seen. Byleth stood up from the bed and began to approach her.

"Kronya, are you okay?" He went to go place his hand on her shoulder but she slapped his hand away, continuing to back away from him

"Get away from me!"

Byleth furrowed his brows as he continued to approach her, holding his hands out. "Kronya, calm down. What happened?"

Kronya was terrified, not of the man in front of her; although he did scare her sometimes, she was terrified of what she'd do to him.

"I...I relapsed...I did it again, I tried to kill you. My head was splitting apart..." Kronya clutched the sides of her head. "I had to do something, that's all I know how to do...Is just kill!" She looked up at Byleth. "Why did you marry me!? Is this some sort of torture!?"

Byleth silenced Kronya by pulling her into a hug, she struggled in his embrace. "Stop! I don't want to hurt you!"

"I married you because I love you."

Kronya stopped her struggling, resting her head against Byleth's shoulder. "...Did you forget I killed your father?"

She heard Byleth's breath get caught in his throat and she sighed, seems even now it still weighed heavy on his heart. Even if it had been five years, to him it still felt like it was only a year.

"It's not too late you know...I won't blame you if you cast me aside."

Byleth hugged her tighter. "I won't ever do that."

"But why? Who would want to be married to someone who keeps trying to kill them..."

"Me."

Kronya chuckled, if only a little. "You're really strange..."

"So I've been told."

The two remained in silence for a bit as Kronya began to relax in the Professor's embrace. His gentle stroking of her messy, orange hair always worked wonders on her. She glanced down at the ground, seeing the dagger she had thrown against the wall earlier. It's gleaming, razor sharp blade seemed to be mocking her, beckoning her...She tried to kill her husband with that blade...

"Don't look at it."

Kronya lifted her head up from Byleth's shoulder and looked to his face, his ever stern gaze staring back at her. "Stop treating yourself like a monster. You aren't one."

Kronya gritted her teeth together and pushed herself off of Byleth, leaving his embrace. "How can you still say that, even after everything I've done to you and your students...Not to mention I keep trying to kill you..."

"That's just a part of you, Kronya. I know it's hard to get rid of everything the Agarthans did to you, but I'm determined to fix you, because I love you."

Kronya scoffed. "You think love will be enough cure me?"

"I do." Byleth's expression never changed. He always had that same, stoic look on his face. It unnerved Kronya, but at the same time she found some comfort in it. She knew his students did as well, so if he were to die...Then they would be devastated, she'd never be able to forgive herself either.

Kronya looked down at the ground, the dagger was still there. The moonlight that shone through the curtains of their room caused the blade to glow a little, it was calling to her.

"Stop looking at it."

Byleth's stern voice brought Kronya's attention back to him, her head was starting to hurt again. The blade kept shining out of the corner of her eye, she kept glancing between it and Byleth. Why did she feel like a cornered animal? What was she so scared of?

She had to stay together, focus on Byleth; he always made her feel better. But it was no use, his gaze which always made her heart melt, now instead made her blood run cold. The dagger was right there, it was staring at her. She looked down at her hands, they were drenched in blood; the thick oily, substance was dripping onto the wooden floor.

"Kronya, stay with me." Kronya blinked, and the blood vanished.

She looked back up to Byleth, he was closer to her now; and she ran out of room to back away from, her back now pressed against the wall.

"You don't understand, Byleth. What it's like to be filled with thoughts of murder, against your own lover. I'm afraid my love for you isn't even real, I'm afraid I've confused love with my desire to kill you..." Kronya was beginning to tear up now, choking back sobs as she spoke.

Byleth stared at her, then down to the dagger at the ground. He bent down and picked it up, approaching Kronya and grabbing her hand; placing the knife in her grip. She panicked and recoiled her hand.

"What are you doing!? Do you want to die!?"

He grabbed her hand again and forced it to grab ahold of the hilt, pressing it's sharp tip against his abdomen as he stared into her eyes.

"You said you doubted your love for me, then let's find out." He let go the dagger, letting Kronya hold it in her hands. The tip remaining pressed against his stomach. "If you truly want to kill me, then do it."

Kronya looked between Byleth's face and the dagger, cackling lightly.

"Y-You're insane...Do you really want to die?" It would've been so easy. Just a little force, and she could impale him. Her head felt like it was splitting apart, Solon's voice filled her head.

"Kill the Fell Star! Do it!" Was it really him though? Or was it just what remained after everything he did to her? After the countless experiments they performed on her, after the endless amount of conditioning and training she was subjected to. But did she go along with all that out of her own free will? She forgot, those memories now replaced by the good times she had with Byleth. With her husband.

Her husband...He was her husband. That's right, isn't it? He wasn't her target anymore, he was her savior, her Professor, her lover. But if that was the case, why did she want to kill him?

She was crying now, tears flowing down her cheeks as they dripped onto the floor. "I can't do it...I can't kill you...How could I possibly kill someone like you..." She let the dagger fall out of her hand, clattering to the floor. She pressed her head against his chest, her body shaking from the light sobs that overcame her.

Byleth hugged her close again. "It's okay...I know you can't forgive yourself, but just know that I've already forgiven you." He began to stroke her hair, which elicited more sobs from her. "I'll be with you every step of the way, I'll fix you."

"You wouldn't have to fix anything...If you hadn't married such a broken girl..."

Byleth didn't respond to her, simply letting the silence over take them. After a few minutes Kronya had calmed down, pulling her head away from Byleth's chest and staring up at him.

"I-I think I'm better...For now..."

Byleth smiled, and Kronya blushed deeply. She loved his smile. "Good, then lets head back to bed. I've gotta be up early after all." Byleth said, Kronya chuckled slightly.

"Does nothing faze you?" She muttered, and Byleth made no reaction to respond to her. Simply leading her back to their bed and climbing underneath the covers, holding it open for Kronya; who got in beside him and crawled on top of him, snuggling against him.

All she had to do was forgive herself, huh?

If only it were that easy...

I noticed that all these after-married stories take place in the bedroom. That was completely unintentional, but next time I'll try and give us a change of scenery.

I apologise again for writing about the same few girls over and over, but next chapter will be a Hapi one. So you can look forward to that.

Until next time!
