Since they had made up, Bianca and Heath had planned to go to the city for the weekend. Cheryl had offered to look after Darcy and Harley for them, so he was dropping them off whilst Bianca finished packing a bag. When she had finished, she went over to the Braxton share house, glad that she saw the eldest Braxton in the flat.
"Hey Brax." She says as she walks over to the counter.
"Heath's not here if you were looking for him." Brax says, glancing over at her.
"I know, he's dropping the kids of at Cheryl's. I actually came here to see you." She says, shuffling awkwardly.
"Oh yeah?" Brax raises an eyebrow, surprised to have heard that.
"Yeah, I've made things right with Heath and realised I needed to with you as well. I just wanted to say sorry for being off with you for a while, I've had some issues that's been sorted now. Heath needs all of you in his life and I'm not going to be the reason he doesn't get that. You've worked hard to get this family where it is today, to make it legitimate, and it's paid off." Bianca says, needing to do this for Heath and her marriage.
"Thanks, I guess." Brax lightly nods. "Can I ask what the real reason all this was about?"
"I lost my best friend because of bad blood you had with Pirovic, I guess I never got over that. But you lost the love of your life, I know that now. I've seen what your family was like when you first arrived in the Bay and compared to today, it's unrecognisable." Bianca says, lightly scoffing. "The fact that Heath walked into a police station of his own accord proves that you're on the right path now. I hope you keep it up."
"I will be. It's not just the kids I've got to look out for." Brax says, glancing over at the house.
"You're doing a great job with Kyle, you've actually been more like a father to him through all this and it's what he's needed. How you can juggle everyday life with the amount you've got to do, it's pretty amazing." Bianca says. "But enough of boosting your ego, I just wanted to clear the air." She smiles.
"I'm sorry too, for whatever I did to make it worse. I've never seen Heath love someone as much as he does you. Don't tell him I told you this, but he would love to have another child with you one day, to bring one up that's yours. It killed him having Harley, not because he had a kid to bring up, but because it wasn't yours. He really does regret sleeping with that chick in Melbourne, he'd do anything to take it back. I'm glad you forgave him for it, I wouldn't even know what I would have done with his moody ass else." Brax jokes.
"Well maybe one day it could be a reality." Bianca lightly shrugs. "Right now, Harley is enough contraception we need. That kid does not listen to anything we say." She shakes her head.
"He's turning into Heath. Just be glad Darcy isn't the same." Brax chuckles.
"She is a saint. The other day she asked if she could start calling me mum and I didn't know what to say." Bianca says.
"What did Heath say about it?"
"I haven't told him. I don't want it to feel like I'm replacing Darcy's mum if I agree to it."
"You know Heath wouldn't think that. And Darcy won't either if she was the one who suggested it. Just talk to Heath, I have a feeling he'd love it." Brax says, hearing Emilia crying in the house. "I better go and see if Rick needs a hand."
"Yeah, I need to see if Heath's back yet. Thanks for being understanding." Bianca says as they walk out.
"I don't know why you think I wouldn't have been." Brax says, heading into the house as she walks off down the path. "Need a hand?" He asks Ricky, who was walking around to settle their daughter.
"I've got it. Kyle dropped a toy and upset her." Ricky says, smirking at him.
"How is it my fault?" Kyle lightly frowns from where he was sat on the floor next to Lillie and Bruno.
"You dropped her favourite toy."
"She dropped it first!" Kyle defends himself.
"You still meeting that client today?" Brax asks his wife.
"I'll be leaving in a sec." Ricky nods as she hands Emilia over to him. "I need to go and make sure I've got everything." She says, walking into the flat as Brax joins Kyle on the play mat.
"How're you doing today?" He asks him, knowing he had been stressing over the court date.
"Better. I'm just trying to focus on Lillie." Kyle says, having guessed Heath told him about him talking in court.
"You sure you're ready for the trial?" Brax asks, knowing it would be set soon.
"No, but it needs to be done." Kyle says. "At least I've got time to prepare myself for whatever Ryan's lawyer will throw at me. He's going to try and get him off the charges and I won't let that happen."
"None of us will. He's going to get sent down, we'll make sure of it."
"What do you recon I'll be asked?" Kyle asks.
"I'm not sure. Probably just about your connection to them, why you think they took Lillie, that sort of thing." Brax says.
"But I didn't have any connection to them and I don't know why they would have taken Lillie." Kyle frowns.
"Kyle, you don't need to worry about any of that yet. We'll talk to our lawyer before the trial and go over it all."
"I feel like it's coming around so fast. Maybe that's a good thing, means it will be over quicker." Kyle says.
"You've got this, I know you do."
"Before I forget, can I ask you something?" Kyle says, having just remembered.
"Yeah." Brax nods.
"How come you've still been paying me my wages even though I haven't been at work?"
"Cause I knew you would need some financial help considering it's just you, and then Heath starting that new search up. I had a feeling Lillie would come back and babies are expensive. It should keep you covered for a few months at least. Enjoy your time with Lillie now she's back, don't worry about work or money." Brax says.
"Can you afford to pay me my wages?" Kyle asks.
"Angelo's has been doing great since you were made manager, and that's not because Heath isn't around there as much to eat and drink all the stock." Brax scoffs. "Now stop thinking about work."
"Yes boss." Kyle smirks, smiling at his daughter and niece as they play with some blocks.
"I can see them being close when they're older." Brax comments.
"I hope so." Kyle faintly nods, his expression changing.
"What's that about?" Brax asks, noticing it.
"I'm not going to get this again." Kyle says.
"How come?" Brax frowns.
"I couldn't go through it again, having another kid I mean." Kyle honestly says. "I don't even think I'd want another girlfriend. I know it sounds bad, but I wouldn't be able to trust them with Lillie, I'd be too scared that they'd take her from me."
"Kyle, you're still young. I understand what you're getting at, but you could find the girl of your dreams and she wouldn't dream of taking Lillie away from you. And none of us would ever let that happen." Brax says. "You don't even have to think about that for a long time, everything is done as your own pace."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kyle sighs, knowing he was overthinking things. "Lillie is my main priority right now, that's not changing."
"It doesn't have to. Anyway, why don't we take these two down to the beach? Some fresh air will be good." Brax says, getting a nod.
"I needed to take Bruno out at some point today, so that sounds good." Kyle says, standing up to get the harness while Brax get's their daughters ready.
