"You're woke."

"How long was I asleep?"

"A few hours."

"I don't think I'll ever get used to waking up in the hospital everyday. I had a nightmare. Two of my babies died."

"I think you're going to give yourself an anxiety attack. You have a team of doctors and nurses. Your babies are okay."

"Did Fitz call?"

"He hasn't called in two weeks Olivia. His voicemail is still full. You don't know where he is. I think you should stop worrying about him."

"How could he just leave after an argument? It's been two weeks Harrison. I'm going to be in this hospital until the babies are born."

"Have you tried calling Mellie?"

"Her phone is disconnected."

"I think he needs time to process everything. You two got married really quick. He dropped Karen off at school, so you know he's not trying to take her from you."

"He better have a damn good reason for not answering my calls. He hasn't even asked for pregnancy updates. How can he change like that? Why is he so different now?"

"You said he had problems when you married him. Maybe you refusing to eat sent him over the edge, and he needs a long break from your marriage."

"He was fine when we left the doctor's office. It was his idea to take me shopping for new clothes and shoes. He didn't seem different until Mellie came to get Karen."

"I wonder what they talked about while you were at the grocery store?"

"I don't know, and I can't ask Mellie because her phone is disconnected."

"Do you know anything about his marriage to Mellie? Why did they divorce?"

"I only know that they were friends for a long time, and they dated had Karen, got married and divorced. I talked with Mellie a few times about their marriage before I knew they were married. She says they have a lot in common. It seems like Fitz and Mellie had a deeper relationship than he has with me. She said that he started jogging to take his mind off his problems. He never talks about his problems with me."

"Have you ever asked him?"

"No. I'm always dealing with my own problems. He can't understand why a designer wardrobe is so important to me. I don't think he'll ever understand it. He doesn't know what it's like to work twice as hard and get half of what they have. I can't wear cheap clothes to work. I'm not some white woman that can wear cheap attire everywhere and still command respect. He will never understand that."

"I think you still should have tried to explain that to him."

"I think I need to worry about my babies right now. I'm going to be in this hospital for the next few months. I'm grateful for my mom taking care of Karen while Fitz is taking a break from our marriage."
