Olivia looked away from the annoyed stares in the hospital waiting room. It was 9:00 in the morning. After a delayed flight, they arrived in Scotland. Karen cried the whole flight. The difference in time was confusing to Amelia. She didn't sleep on the plane. There was too much turbulence. Now Olivia walked back and forth with Karen. Amelia followed her crying about being sleepy. Fitz excused himself and walked over to Amelia.
"We're going to the hotel in a few minutes."
Amelia settled in his arms and closed her eyes. Fitz continued his conversation with the doctor. All of his family members were alive. Thanks to the life jackets. Fitz was thankful for Olivia's dream. If she hadn't warned him about the boating accident, he wouldn't have insisted on life jackets. Fitz couldn't see any of them right now because they were all sedated, but the doctor let him know that they could have visitors in a few hours.
"Do you have anymore questions Mr. Grant?"
"No, thank you for your kindness."
"I'll be here all day. My shift started an hour ago."
When the doctor left to speak with his patients, Fitz turned around to look at Olivia. She was nearly sleeping while standing up. They all needed to sleep for a few hours. Olivia yawned and moved Karen to her other shoulder.
"Do you want to get breakfast before we go to the hotel?" Fitz asked.
"No. The kids are sleeping, and I'm so tired. We can skip breakfast."
They didn't speak much on the way to the hotel. Fitz was lost in his thoughts as he drove the rental car around the city. His mom was taking a later flight. This was not his ideal vacation. Hopefully, the vacation would get better. He had received a few phone calls from friends of the family. They wanted him to meet up with them before he flew back to DC. This vacation was supposed to be about Fitz announcing his wedding plans, showing everyone Karen and letting them know his adoption plans for Amelia. It could be worse. Right now, he was thankful that everyone was okay.
