This wasn't supposed to take so long. Sorry.
Skara was woken up by Luz calling her, telling her to not go outside. Skara was about to go back to bed when she held her stomach in pain. She went over to a small chest she has and opened it. She rummaged through a few empty bottles and groaned.
"I'm out of blood." She looked out the window, "I... it'll only be a couple of minutes. I'll snack on a bird and then get back inside."
Skara shadow traveled under the doorway and moved from shadow to shadow. She made it outside and started to run into the woods.
"Okay, just drink some blood and fill a bottle and you're good. Simple in and out."
She sniffed the air and picked up the familiar metallic scent and went towards it. At Blight Manor, Alador was finishing up his explanation of what happened.
"And that's the gist of it." He said.
"So, someone's got our girls on a hit list? Not on my watch." Eda said, getting up.
"Edalyn, what are you going to do? Go find them?" Lilith asked.
"Yes, and I'm going to kill them."
"Edalyn, you will be killed." Lilith said, grabbing Eda's arm.
"I know how they work; I know how vampire hunters operate. We were vampire hunter's, remember Lily?"
"Of course, I remember. But if there's something I realize, we have been out of the game for too long. They haven't. Edalyn please, don't do this."
"I have to, they hurt Luz."
"And how badly will it hurt her, when I have to tell her, she lost another mother in the span of a month?"
"What am I supposed to do, Lilith?! My daughter is being targeted by Vampire Hunters!"
"And so is my daughter, Edalyn!" Lilith said, "You're acting like Luz is the only one with this problem, but she's not."
"What do I do, Lily?"
"You watch her and make sure she's safe." Lilith said.
"Can you two leave? I need to talk to Alador in private."
"Of course, come on Elizabeth, let's go plan the wedding."
The two women left and Eda looked at Alador. He grabbed her hand and she smiled.
"I missed you, Al."
"I missed you too, Eda. I wish we didn't have to get divorced, but with my arranged marriage to Odalia I had no choice."
"I know. I was so devastated and I saw how you were as well." Eda said, "I guess that's one of the problems with Eloping."
"I was kind enough to leave you the house. I wish we could get back together."
"Why don't we?" Eda asked.
"Well, our children are most likely going to get married. If we got married, then they can't."
"I never said we had to get re-married." She then started to whisper into his ear, "If you catch my drift."
"I... One night. One night where we can pretend, we're still married." He said.
"That's all I want."
Eda pressed her lips against Alador's. If they only had one night, then she was going to enjoy it.
