"So, why aren't you with your family today? It is a holiday."

"Thanksgiving is an American holiday."

"You're right. I'm really having a hard time right now."

Fitz took a sip of water and looked out the window. He hadn't hung out with his college friend since they graduated, and she moved back to Scotland. Skye was his best friend in college. She was always very honest even when he didn't want to hear it. Their daily conversations were usually about why he stayed married to Angela. If he wasn't married to Angela, he would have gave Skye a chance. She was beautiful, and in the back of his mind he knew she was the reason he was attracted to Mellie. They could be twins.

"You are getting married?"

"Yeah. I have a baby. It's complicated."

"Do you love her?"

"Yes, I'm adopting her child. We are going to be a family."

"I'm happy for you."

"Are you really?"

"Yes, I thought you were going to bring your fiancé to lunch with us."

"No, she's tired, and the kids need to stay in one spot for a few hours."

"When are you going back to DC?"

"Next week. I promised my six year old a trip to the Peppa Pig theme park before we fly to the states."

"You divorced Angela and started a family."

"Yes."

"Do you still talk to Angela?"

"She calls once a week." Fitz shrugged, "We're still friends."

"You will never stop loving her."

"She was my wife. I will always care about Angela. I don't want to be married to her anymore. Livvie is the love of my life."

"She's a really lucky lady. I hope she knows that."

"I'm a lucky guy. Olivia is the perfect woman for me."

"Yeah, I need to get going. My boss doesn't like me being late. You can call me sometime. We are still friends."

"Maybe we can have lunch again tomorrow with Olivia."

"Sure. Goodbye Fitz."
