Sesshoumaru stopped mid-signature and looked at the man across from him with narrowed, unseeing eyes. On the very fringes of his mind, he could feel her. The emotions she was emitting were indistinct this far away from each other, and vague in the sense of worry they evoked.
Dark gray eyes glowing, Bokusenou smiled. As of late, he had caught the young male across from him drifting off into thought several times and each occurrence brought with it emotions the old tree demon knew Sesshoumaru was unsure how to handle. Delicately, he cleared his throat to catch the other male's attention and smiled when those impassive eyes settled on him. "Is everything alright, Sesshoumaru-sama?"
"Hn. It is none of your concern, old man." Pushing his thoughts about the miko to the back of his mind, Sesshoumaru finished signing the forms and slid them across the desk. "Was there anything else you wished of this one?"
The tree demon smiled, unoffended. "Yes, as it were, there is, though I am afraid it is of a…personal nature, young Lord."
Irritated and admittedly a little intrigued, Sesshoumaru leaned back in his chair. There was a part of him that wanted to send the other man away so that he could focus on the odd emotions coming from the miko. At the same time, the old demon had never requested a moment of his time for anything other than business and this request pulled at his curiosity.
