p style="margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;"Understanding dawned and frustration filled her as Kagome watched a little girl step forward. She was a tiny thing, looking no more than three or four years old but there was no telling her actual age with the youkai blood she carried. Kagome knew the stories for this demon by heart, a fairytale her mother used to tell her as a child./p
p style="margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;"Minori was a demon that took the shape of your biggest fear and she was used as a warning to keep errant children in bed for the night. Short red hair almost pixie like brushed over pointed ears and dark, dark skin as the child approached. Her eyes were simply white, with no pupil or iris and her features were twisted in pain. "Please help," she whispered, her voice echoing like bells in the house. But there was another story for the child demon as well; a story that said she protected children from nightmares and fears and helped grant them peaceful sleep through the night./p
p style="margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;"Kagome wished desperately that the girl wasn't real, that she really had killed Jirōbō but as the little demon dropped to her knees before her, the miko knew she hadn't. And it sucked. But she knew if she could win against this fake version of him, then maybe she could win for real, as well./p
p style="margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;"On the side of the child's neck, Kagome could see the strings of web and the tiny, tiny spider that hid in the hem of her kimono. And she hated Jirōbō all the more for tainting this innocent demon as well. Slowly, she nodded and leaned forward, reaching out a hand and pressing two fingers gently to Minori's forehead. She wasn't aiming to kill and so it was easy to summon the smallest of powers and purify the evil from the little demon. A soft pink glow surrounded the child, even as she started to lift into the air. "Thank you," she whispered, bells tinkling again as she lifted higher, as her form started to fade from view. "This one will make sure you have no night terrors, for a time."/p
