Illusion

Sesshoumaru ripped the door off the old house and flung it to the side, uncaring of where it landed as he strode inside. The sight of all the ashes on the floor did not surprise him in the least, not with that blow-up of power she had exhibited. What did make him pause though was the sight of her so easily touching her opponent as she slumped on the floor. And she was letting the child go.

Sighing, wondering if she would ever get up the gumption to kill her enemies, he moved forward and crouched beside her. "You are unharmed?" he asked quietly, even as he looked her over, searching for himself.

"My shoulder," she admitted, hating the way it started to throb now that she'd mentioned it. "The demon bit me. I…thought it was Jirōbō." She looked up at him, eyes tired. "Might be poisoned, not sure if the illusion goes that far."

"Moronic nigen," he muttered, even as he scooped her up, careful not to jar her arm. "Where is your partner?"

"Jii-chan said there were disturbances all over the city and Souta was sent with another larger group to handle something in the north side." Looking up at him, she smiled a little, not realizing that she was repeating herself, "I thought it was Jirōbō and I still managed to kill him. Or at least get rid of his illusion."

Taking to the air without even sparing her monstrosity of a car a glance, Sesshoumaru nodded. "Hn. The Minori demon's illusions are powerful. It is why he was able to bite you, even though he was not real."
