"Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is…" The voice of Yoda said within the realm known as the world between worlds when he spoke to Obi-Wan Kenobi a day or so before the start of the Clone Wars 22 years ago.

"What is this place?" Obi-Wan then asked someone within the world between worlds when he, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka were trapped on the planet of Mortis 20 years ago.

"A conduit through which the entire Force of the universe flows," the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn replied.

"Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter," the voice of Yoda then said in the future on the planet Dagobah.

"Just when you think you understand the Force, you find out how little you actually know," the voice of Ahsoka said when she spoke to Ezra before they went to Malachor with Kanan.

"Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose," the voice of Yoda said to Anakin Skywalker days before the end of the Clone Wars, execution of Order 66, during the Siege of Mandalore and after Anakin Skywalker began having premonitions of his wife, Padmè Amidala dying in childbirth.

"What you need, you already have. Unfortunately, you seem to be letting it all go," the voice of Obi-Wan said to Ezra when she travelled to Tatooine to find him, only to lead Maul to him, ending the former Sith Lord's life.

"I won't let him lose his way, not like I did," the voice of Kanan told Yoda when he was talking to him through the Force in the Jedi Temple when Ezra went to find her Kyber Crystal, back when she was still male.

Just then, Ezra was flown out of one of the portals in the realm and grunted as she stood back up after landing on her stomach and looked around the realm in amazement.

"The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together," she heard the voice of Obi-wan say a few months in the future.

"Please sit," Hydan told Sabine as he turned around behind a desk in the excavation site's command center as the death troopers pushed her towards the desk before pushing a rollable chair toward her and placed her on the chair's seat as one of the death troopers handed Hydan a datapad, "Ah, of course. Sabine Wren." He then sat in the chair he was standing in front of at the desk as he poured a tea-like drink into a cup from a kettle. "It's no wonder you took such an interest in the painting from the temple. The Grand Admiral has spoken highly of your talents. You know he's acquired a small collection of your work?"

"I'm flattered," she scoffed with sarcasm as she crossed her arms.

"I would never consider myself an artist, but more a… a critic, perhaps," Hydan told her.

"That explains a lot," Sabine stated.

"I will admit that you and your friend or shall I say twin sister swiftly solved something I could not. Now, tell me, how did you open the portal?" He asked her as he poured more tea from the kettle into his cup.

"I'm smarter than you," she replied.

"I have informed the Emperor that your twin sister entered the temple," Hydan told her after chuckling as he placed his cup of tea back on the desk after taking a sip of it, "He was rather impressed with your twin sister. It must be so difficult for her now without her master." Sabine looked on with confusion as he said that, "Yes. Kanan Jarrus, or Kaleb Dume… whichever. Such a pity he chose the path he did and fell to such a meaningless end."

"You think you're powerful, but you're just a pawn," Sabine told him.

"Oh, well, it's true. My power is but a reflection of the might of my Emperor," he told her.

"And yet, for all his might, he couldn't open the door, but Ezra could," she added.

"Your sister is not safe beyond the veil," he told her as he walked up to her with the datapad in his hands, "The door is open. The Emperor will find her. It's only a matter of time now. But there is hope. You have an opportunity to help her, if you help me." He then clicked on the datapad, causing dozens of holographic images related to the mural of the Mortis Gods and Jedi temple to appear around the room, "As an artist, I would think that you would relish the opportunity to study the temple. Do you even realize what it is?"

"That portal…" Sabine began as she examined one of the holographic images that looked similar to the one Ezra jumped through, "It's not just a way into the temple… it's a…"

"Pathway between all time and space," he finished for her, "They who controls it controls the universe."

"Well?" Zeb asked Hera as she used the electrobinoculars as she looked over the stormtrooper guarding the excavation site's command center as he held his no-rifle in his hand.

"They took Sabine into one of the buildings on the far side of the site," she reported.

"Get down!" Zeb ordered as he heard a gunship fly by and leaned down as the ship flew past them without noticing them, "What about Ezra? Did she get inside the temple?"

"Honestly, Zeb, I don't know where she is, and I doubt she does either," Hera answered before she, Zeb and Chopper walked away from where they were hiding at.

"Hello?" Ezra called out as she heard Yoda speaking within the realm she was in as she walked around the area, passing by portals on her side,

"Yoda? Obi-Wan? Where are you? Those voices…"

"The time to fight is now!" She then heard Jyn Erso, daughter of Galen Erso say within a few months in the future on Yavin IV before the battle of Scariff.

"Where are they coming from?" Ezra asked herself.

"Strong in the Force you are," she then heard Yoda say to someone on Dagobah in the future.

"Let go of everything you fear to lose," she then heard Yoda say to someone else in the past.

"He's my brother," she then heard Leia tell someone before hearing her say something else, "This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope."

"Let's blow this thing and go home," she then heard an unfamiliar male sounding voice say as she heard an owl hooting at her.

"You never would have made it as Obi-Wan's padawan, but you might make it as mine," she heard the voice of Anakin Skywalker say to Ahsoka during the battle of Christophsis.

"I'm a Jedi, like my father before me," she then heard the future Jedi Luke Skywalker say to Palpatine, five years in the future above Endor as she walked over to a portal as she saw the convor that was always with Ahsoka standing on top of the portal.

"Hey. I've seen you before. Yeah, whenever Ahsoka was around, you were always close by," she recalled as she stood in front of the portal and below the convor, "How did you get here?" The convor hooted a response before hopping in the air for a split second, "Can you help me? I was sent here, but I'm not sure why." The convor hooted another response as the portal rumbled to life as it turned red, "What is this? What are you showing me?"

Her question was answered once she saw Ahsoka and Vader in the temple on Malachor within the portal as the Sith Lord ignited his saber and heard his mechanical breathing.

"No," she muttered as she heard her past self yell Ahsoka's name, "It can't be." She then saw Ahsoka Force push her past self out from the temple as it closed shut as Ahsoka ignited both of her white lightsaber blades and locked both her and Vader's from behind as she had them over her head and behind her lekkus as she heard herself crying the word 'no' before Ahsoka turned around as she locked one of her sabers with his again before locking her other saber with his as well and evaded his sabers as he went to strike at her and deactivated her sabers in a reverse grip as Ezra watched as Ahsoka locked both her sabers back with Vader's sabers as he approached her as he began striking at her sabers with fury as the covor hopped upwards, urging Ezra to enter the portal and save Ahsoka, "What? What can I do?" She asked the convor as Ahsoka continued to lock her sabers with Vader's sabers with her straining the weight of Vader's strength, causing Ezra to widen her eyes in shock as she knew that if she doesn't go in and pull her out, Ahsoka will die and as the super weapon began to implode with its power becoming unstable, Ahsoka Force pushed Vader away from her before stabbing her lightsabers into the floor, causing it to start to crack open with Vader going in to strike her down, "Ahsoka!" Ezra cried as she went into the portal and pulled her out of the temple as the floor beneath Vader collapsed as he fell through the floor with both Ezra and Ahsoka falling unconscious as they left the portal and entered the World between worlds.

"I discovered these images while going through the Jedi Temple archive on Coruscant," Hydan told Sabine as he stated at a painting with the figures of the Mortis Gods painted gold.

"Still not interested," Sabine remarked sarcastically as she sat in her seat.

"I doubt that," Hydan told her as he clicked on his datapad, causing the image to switch to the same as the mural outside around the excavation site, "Now, these three figures appear throughout the Jedi's recorded history."

"Mmm-hmm. They're archetypes," she stated.

"Yes, precisely," Hydan said as he turned to her, "They're sometimes referred to as the Father, Son and Daughter. Now, do you notice anything about their depiction on the Lothal temple?"

"I… I don't know. They look the same to me," she told him.

"I am no fool, Lady Wren so do not mistake my pleasant demeanor for weakness," he told her, "The painting has changed."

"You noticed that, huh?" She asked him.

"Yes," he confirmed as she began to get up, "The Loth-wolves have moved. In fact, they now form the portal. I also find it interesting that the position off the Daughter's head and the hand of the Father has changed. Do you care to share what their significance is?"

"The… The hands are a language," she explained as she walked up to him as death troopers walked through the holographic paintings behind her.

"I could find no similarity between it and any known language," he said with confusion, "How is it you can read it?"

"Remember? I'm smarter than you," she said, mocking him.

"Lady Wren, I had hoped we could have a civil conversation about art, but I see the Mandalorian in you understands one one form of discourse," Hydan stated before one of the death troopers hit her in the head with the butt of their rifle, knocking her to the floor with her looking at them as both death troopers aimed their blaster rifles at her, "Now, where were we?"

The convor hooted again as Ezra regained consciousness and stared at it and hooted at her to look to her side, and she did just that as she saw Ahsoka moving around as she also regained consciousness as she sat up.

"Ahsoka?" Ezra called out to her as she saw the Togruta getting up.

"Sabine?" Ahsoka said as she turned around, confusing Ezra for her twin as she noticed that her hair wasn't dark brown like she saw that she had the last time she saw her as it was now mostly navy blue with the top of her hair red.

"It's actually Ezra, Ahsoka," Ezra said, correcting the Togruta.

"You look older and more of a Mandalorian than when I last saw you," Ahsoka told the Mandalorian Jedi that was standing in front of her as she stood up, "Wait, what happened? Where am I?"

"You were fighting Vader," Ezra answered as Ahsoka looked around the world between worlds.

"Obi-Wan once thought as you did…" They then heard Vader tell his son, Luke Skywalker, five years from the present on Endor.

"I saw you in there. He was going to… So I… I grabbed you, and I pulled you out of there," Ezra went on.

"You don't know the power of the dark side…" they heard Vader tell his son as well.

"Anakin," Ahsoka muttered, causing Ezra to realize who Vader actually was, Ahsoka's Jedi master before hearing the convor hoot and looked up at it, "Morai? You're here?"

"Morai?" Ezra repeated in confusion as the convor flew towards and landed on Ahsoka's arm as she rose her arm outwards.

"I am the Daughter…" They heard the voice of the Daughter say.

"She's an old friend," Ahsoka explained to her as she petted Maroi, "I owe her my life. And now I owe you that as well. How did you get here?" She then asked as she noticed that Ezra's master was missing, "And where's Kanan?"

"You've missed a lot," Ezra said, not wanting to tell her that he was dead but the expression she gave told her that Kanan was dead.

"Okay, Hera, what're you thinkin'?" Zeb asked Hera as he stood behind her at the wall of a command center with Chopper.

"These are mobile command centers, right?" She asked.

"Yeah? Oh…" he said, chuckling as he realized what she was thinking, "I like where this is going." He then turned to a hopped, "Chop, you keep an eye out for Ezra." Chopper grunted a response before rolling away.

"Okay. Let's move," Hera said as they ran behind the command center as Chopper hid behind a container as he watched as a mobile command center rolled by in the distance.

"This place is ancient. Like a world between worlds," Ahsoka as she walked with Morai on her arm with Ezra following her.

"Yeah," Ezra said, agreeing with the Togruta, "It feels like that dream where I met Dume."

"The creature named Dume… It appeared after Kanan died?" Ahsoka asked her, "That has to be more than a coincidence."

"I know. Caleb Dume… A wolf named Dume… What does it mean?" Ezra asked the Togruta.

"Perhaps Kanan's will is still at work through the wolf," Ahsoka suggested.

"How could that be?" Ezra asked her with confusion.

"Well, Kanan is part of the cosmic Force now. There are ways those who have passed on may still guide or influence the living," Ahsoka explained as she stared at a constellation within the realm that was shaped like a wolf before turning back to her, "It's not impossible."

"But if it was Kanan who sent me here, then…" Ezra began.

"What is it?" Ahsoka asked her.

"I thought I was sent here to stop the Empire, but then I found you," Ezra explained to her, "Don't you see?"

"You think Kanan sent you here to help me?" Ahsoka asked.

"Not just you!" She told her.

"Want a ride?" They then heard Kanan say back when Ezra first met him when she was still male.

"I… I can do it! I can Save Kanan just like I saved you!" Ezra stated.

"Ezra…" Ahsoka said, trying to stop the Mandalorian from doing something that she'd regret.

"You can learn what it truly means to be a Jedi," they then heard Kanan say after Ezra and the others saved wookies from being enslaved on the spice mines of Kessel after she met them and with that, she ran towards where the voice was coming from.

"Ezra, wait!" Ahsoka called out to Ezra as Morai fly off of her arm, hooting before Ahsoka ran after her.

"Kid, I'm about to let everyone in on the secret," they heard Kanan say when he revealed himself to be a Jedi to Ezra and the others as well as the Empire, including Kallus who still an ISB agent at the time when he and the other rebels rescued the wookies from being slaves on Kessel.

"I survived one war. I'm not ready for another," they then heard Kanan say as well, a week after Ezra's transformation and before they went to Lothal to help Minister Tua to defect from the Empire which failed.

"Battles leave scars… Some you can't see," they heard Kanan say when he, Ezra, Zeb and Rex were stuck on Agamar to play a 'war game' with Separatist Battle Droids.

"This way!" Ezra called out to Ahsoka as she ran down a pathway as she followed the voices of Kanan and soon stopped near a portal behind her, "One of these portals must lead to Kanan."

"Ezra, think about what you're doing," Ahsoka said, pleading with her.

"I know what I'm doing!" Ezra told her, "Here, in this place, I can change things. I can stop Kanan from dying."

"You don't know that," Ahsoka stated.

"Yes, I do," she said as she turned towards her, "If I can change your fate, I can change his." Just as she said that, the portal behind her rumbled to life and they began walking towards it as a projection of Kanan holding back the fire from the fuel pod that was expanding out towards him as he died, "I can reach him."

"Ezra. Kanan gave his life so that you, Hera and your sister could live. If he is taken out of this moment, you all die," Ahsoka told her.

"You don't understand what you're asking me to do," Ezra stated.

"Yes, I do," Ahsoka told her, "You can't save your master and I can't save mine.I'm asking you to let go." Ezra extended her hand out towards the portal as she saw Kanan Force pushing her past self, Hera and Sabine away from the fuel pod in the Patrol transport.

"Kanan!" They heard Hera yell inside the portal as Kanan was consumed by the fire with Ezra closing her eyes as the events of Kanan's death disappeared as she turned away from the portal.

"I'm sorry, Ezra but you must see. Kanan found the moment when he was needed most, and he did what he had to do, for everyone," Ahsoka explained to Ezra as she walked away from the portal.

"That's the lesson," Ezra said as Ahsoka walked up to her, "I didn't see it, but now…" she then sighed as Ahsoka placed her hand on the Mandalorian's shoulder, "Sometimes I wish my life was different. I wish I could see my birth parents and wasn't transformed into a twin of Sabine by that one Inquisitor a week after we met you. Why can't things be like they were?" They heard a crackling and rumbling sound.

"We can't stay here," Ahsoka told her, "You opened the door to this world. Do you know how to close it?"

"Sabine will know," Ezra told her, "We can do it together. They'll be so happy to see you."

"I can't go with you," Ahsoka told her with regret in her voice.

"Perhaps I can," they suddenly heard the voice of Palpatine say and turned around to see Palpatine inside the portal behind a cauldron using alchemy with the caldron, "Ezra Wren and Ahsoka Tano… Mine at last!" He then crackled a laugh.

"Come on. Hurry," Zeb urged Hera as she was underneath Hydan's command center, tinkering with it.

"Almost got it," Hera told him, "Get ready to send Sabine a signal."

"I'll tap it out right before blastoff," Zeb assured her before walking away from her.

"The Father is clearly showing the way to the portal. The wolves are the portal guardians," Hydan told Sabine as they stared at the holographic painting of the Mortis Gods.

"Okay. What about the owl?" Sabine asked.

"A servant of the Daughter, or possibly the Daughter herself when acting as a spirit guide," Hydan answered.

"Hmm. So if the Daughter opens the gateway…" Sabine began.

"The Son would close it," Hydan stated.

"Oh. There's something I didn't know," Sabine admitted.

"Yeah, see? We can help each other," Hydan told her when a stormtrooper suddenly barged into the room.

"Minister, there's something happening to the portal," the stormtrooper told Hydan when they suddenly heard pounding sounds around the metallic surfaces of the command center.

"A-ha! I know that language too. Sorry about the mess," Sabine told Hydan when the command center began to shake as it lifted upwards with stormtroopers standing at the entrance falling off the command center.

Palpatine spoke in an ancient Sith language as he featured his hands around the cauldron with blue flames giving over the top of the cauldron before gesturing the flames out of the portal towards Ezra and Ahsoka as the Togruta extended her arm outwards to push back the flames.

"I can't hold it!" Ahsoka said, straining as she had trouble pushing the flames back with Ezra extending one of her arms out, pushing the flames back as they retreated back into the portal.

"Are you all right?" Ezra asked Ahsoka as she went to help her up as Palpatine crackled a laugh again.

"Run!" Ahsoka ordered as she got back up on her feet and as she said that, both the Mandalorian and Togruta began to run away from the portal as Palpatine extended his arm through the portal, growling and yelling as the same blue flames from before came out of the portal.

Sabine slid across the floor of the command center as it continued to rise upwards and jumped into a room through a doorway, which was then blocked as objects fell towards the doorway after she jumped through the doorway and rammed into a death trooper and took his blaster rifle from him before kicking the death trooper as she landed outside the command center's door with stormtroopers stationed outside the command center aiming their blaster rifles at her before one of them was punch in the helmet by Zeb as he and Hera ran over to her.

"You good?" Hera asked Sabine.

"Yeah," Sabine answered as Zeb helped her up, "We gotta get to the temple painting."

"What about Ezra?" Hera asked as they began firing their weapons at stormtroopers.

"She's on her way," Sabine told her as the command center began to fall down towards them and crashed onto the ground as they evaded the command center.

"Ahsoka!" Ezra called out to Ahsoka as the blue flames latched onto her ankle, causing her to fall onto the ground within the world between worlds.

"Show me the way, Ezra. Help me," Palpatine demanded the Mandalorian as he began pulling her towards her with the blue flame.

"Ahhh! He's coming through!" Ezra cried as she continued to get pulled towards the portal as Ahsoka grabbed her lightsabers and ignited their white blades and slashed them across the flame that was latched onto Ezra's ankle, cutting Palpatine's connection to the realm.

"Keep going! You can make it!" Ahsoka told Ezra as they continued to run away from the flame.

"When you get back, come and find me!" Ezra told her.

"I will. I promise," Ahsoka reassured her a they went in separate directions that led to two different portals and Ahsoka jumped through the portal back to Malachor with Morai flying through it as they left the World between worlds.

Morai hooted as Ahsoka got up from the ground in the temple on Malachor and stood up as Morai flew away.

"May the Force be with you, Ezra Wren," Ahsoka said as she began walking towards an entrance to the Sith temple.

"You can always count on me my love and take care of our child," Ezra heard herself say as she got closer to the portal that leads back to the Temple on Lothal and as soon as she heard herself say that she realized that one day she'll have and bear children and have a husband with a Mandalorian.

"No!" Palpatine yelled with anger as Ezra ran back through the portal that leads back to the Temple on Lothal.

Ezra rolled on her knees after landing on her back as she exited the portal with her twin, Hera and Zeb rushing towards her as stormtroopers firing at her.

"Sis!" Sabine called out to her as she went to help her up, "Come on, come on! Get up! We're leaving."

"No! We have to seal the portal," Ezra protested, "Come on."

Hera began shooting at the stormtrooper along with Sabine and Zeb as they ran away from the portal back towards the mural.

"Look out!" One of the stormtroopers said as he noticed a Mining Guild driller coming towards them with Chopper grunting as he piloted the driller with the stormtroopers running away from it, fear for their lives.

"Chopper's got 'em. Let's move," Zeb remarked as he laughed.

"Sis, which one do I activate?" Ezra asked her sister.

"The Son. That one," Sabine answered, pointing at the Son on the mural. Ezra then turned to Zeb and nodded as he picked her up and stood on his shoulders as she made a fist with her hand and closed her behest as she placed her fist onto the fist of the Son.

"Stop her!" Hydan ordered as he saw what Ezra was doing and soon the circles and lines of the mural began to shine red.

"The future, by its nature, can be changed," the Son said from the mural as his eyes shined red before Ezra fell unconscious as she fell off of Zeb's shoulders to which he daughter her before she fell to the ground as the mural began to change back to its original position as the excavation site began to collapse as Hera, Sabine and Zeb climbed onto the driller that Chopper was piloting as he held Ezra in his arms with Sabine firing blaster bolts at the stormtroopers as they fired at them.

"Chopper, get us out of here!" Hera ordered Chopper as she pulled Ezra up before Zeb climbed up to where she was.

"The temple, it's collapsing!" Hydan yelled as he walked towards the mural as the Father moved his hands and slammed them against one another, causing a bright light to appear from him, "What have they done? The knowledge… Everything will be lost! No!"

Ezra opened her eyes again as she regained conscious for a bit as Hera held her in her arms as the driller fled away from the mural as Hydan fell down a chasm that just formed around him.

"It's gonna be close!" Hera announced as she and Zeb entered the driller with Sabine as she placed Ezra on a seat as the driller rolled away on the steep slopes of the excavation site.

"The Force will be with you, Always," Ezra heard Kanan tell her in her mind as she fell back unconscious.

"If this is what you and Kanan used to do on Jedi missions, you can keep it," Zeb told Ezra as Chopper grunted as Ezra sat up after regaining consciousness.

"Where's Hera?" Ezra asked him.

"She's outside," Sabine answered, "Sis, you gotta see."

Ezra then climbed out of the driller and walked towards Hera who was standing in the distance as she saw that they were in the middle of grasslands and walked up next to her, "Where are we?" She asked Hera.

"The temple," Hera answered.

"What? Where?" Ezra asked her, "I mean, how?"

"You tell me," Hera told her.

"Kanan and I stood here, when we first came to the temple," Ezra told her as she realized that it looked like as it did when she and Kanan came to the Temple the first time but without the structure in the middle.

"He's gone now, isn't he?" Hera asked her, "I mean, really gone."

"Yes," Ezra confirmed, "I know what we have to do now. In a way Kanan showed me. One last lesson." Hera began walking away from her back to the driller and Ezra went to follow her before turning around and saw Dume in the distance before walking away, "Goodbye, Kanan."
