"Ah..Thank you, Fuiasu-san," she murmured, gently pushing the bowl away from her and offering up a warm smile. "It's good to see you again."
Becoming truly worried, the elder demoness forced a smile and wrapped an arm around the girls shoulders, turning them towards the door and out of the kitchen. "You should go sit down and rest, my girl. You've been up since dawn in this kitchen; it can't be good for you."
Kagome hesitated and turned to glance back at her mother and Kikyo. "But…I feel bad leaving all of the cooking to the rest of you guys," she murmured, looking between the three women.
Nodaka raised a brow and settled her hands on her hips. "You would think none of us had ever cooked a thanksgiving meal before," she teased, tilting her head to the side as she studied her daughter. Nodding slightly at Fuiasu, she gave her silent agreement to Fuaisu's urge to have the girl sit.
"Go relax for until dinner is ready, Kagome," Kikyo said quietly, frowning a little. There was something off about the girl, like she was too distracted, too lost in her mind to think on anything else. She would have to corner Kagome later to talk.
