My eyes opened as the first golden rays from the sunrise poured into the room. It wasn't the sudden stream of light that had disturbed my sleep, it was the man leaning over me gently caressing my cheek. I wondered how long he'd been watching me, staring at my sleeping form with his dreamy, deep black eyes. His hand slipped from my cheek and descended down my neck, between my breasts and settled on my stomach.

"The babies were kicking when you were asleep." He told me, smiling.

"I'm so pleased you got to feel it." I gently replied, placing my hand on top of his. Looking into his eyes, it was almost like I could feel myself falling in love with him all over again. My past relationships had never lasted this long or been this serious so I had no way of knowing if it was normal to sometimes still feel butterflies in my stomach when he looked at me.

"Why are you blushing?" he quietly chuckled, fixing his curious eyes on my red cheeks.

I hadn't realised that I was blushing and now that he had pointed it out my cheeks went redder.

"I-I'm not." I stuttered, pulling the duvet over my face.

He tugged at the duvet but my tight grip wouldn't allow him to pull it back down. Obviously with force he could easily have removed it but he had something much more fun in mind. Effortlessly sliding off the bed, he moved round to the bottom and crawled under the duvet, tickling my feet on his way in to let me know he was there. My foot jerked in response, accidentally catching him in the chin. The strike didn't deter him in the slightest, he wasn't a man that would give up on a journey, especially when the prize awaiting him at the end was my lips.

"Are you okay?" I whispered.

"Absolutely fine." He laughed, emerging and planting a kiss on my lips.

After the first kiss he drew back a little, looked at me for a few seconds and then descended on me again, gently sucking on my top lip. I ran my fingers through his hair, leaving my hand resting on the back of his neck. Our eyes were open as we kissed, speaking a thousand words to each other without saying a thing. It was a lovely moment that we immediately had to stop when we heard Yoichi's feet thudding down the hall towards our room. Sasuke rolled off me and lay as inconspicuously as possible by side just as the door swung open and our boy came racing in.

"No." Sasuke sternly warned him when he realised that he was about to launch himself onto the bed.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." Yoichi laughed, scratching his cheek.

Taking his unborn siblings into consideration, he carefully climbed between us, holding his father's hand and nuzzling his face against my arm. It was difficult to imagine how we were going to find quality time with just Yoichi once the babies were born but I silently promised myself that we would find a way no matter how busy we were. I never wanted him to feel left out or jealous.

"When are we going back to our house?"

Neither me or Sasuke knew how to reply to Yoichi's question right away, the amount of damage caused by Sasuke and Kaze's fight wasn't easily repaired. I was eager to go home too, not that I didn't love being at Naruto and Hinata's, I just wanted to spend the next few months preparing the babies room and making sure I had everything ready. It didn't feel right filling up their home with all of our stuff when pretty soon they were going to need all the space they could get for their new arrival.

"Soon." Sasuke replied, getting out of bed with a sigh.

Yoichi glanced up at me, wondering if he had said something wrong. I gave him my biggest smile and ruffled his hair to assure him that everything was fine. Part of me wished I could actually believe that because at that moment everything felt far from fine.

When we went downstairs breakfast was already on the table and Hinata was in the kitchen chatting to someone. I recognised the other voice as Sakura's at the same time as Sasuke rolled his eyes. Over breakfast Sakura told us all about the join baby shower she wanted to throw for herself, me and Hinata. When I told her it was a good idea I felt Sasuke kick my foot under the table but it wasn't like I could just refuse when Hinata had already agreed to go.

"Great! This weekend is okay, right?" Sakura asked us excitedly.

Sasuke kicked my foot again, this time more urgently.

"Isn't that a bit soon? I mean...there's a lot of work to do." I said, smiling nervously.

"Not really. I thought we could just get the guys to do most of it." She shrugged, finishing the last of her tea.

I didn't even need to look at Sasuke to know he had an irritated expression on his face. Not only did he obviously not want to spend his free time decorating Sakura's house in the most girly things she could think of, he didn't want to spend any time with Taku either, especially alone. It's not like Naruto would be able to take some time off from his Hokage duties to set up a baby shower.

On the one hand I didn't really want Sasuke doing anything he didn't want to but on the other hand it was the perfect punishment for destroying part of our house. Without realising, a huge smile appeared on my face.

"I know Sasuke would love to help. Are you sure Taku is up for it?"

Sasuke discreetly placed his hand on my lower back and wrapped his fingers around the hair cascading beautifully down to just above my butt. He wanted to give it a good tug and then bend me over so he could pay me back for volunteering him for such an annoying job but without any privacy for the rest of the day his wish was unlikely to come true.

We all ended up in Sakura's home anyway, Sasuke didn't want to let me and Yoichi out of his site and I didn't exactly feel safe being away from him anyway. Yoichi caught up on some of his homework lying in the grass outside, while us girls sat on the veranda close by chatting. In preparation for their new arrival, Sasuke and Taku had just moved into a house fairly close by to ours. I was just complimenting the beautiful flowers that lined the long rectangular garden when Yoichi's head suddenly jerked up. A frown pushed his eyes in to a glare aimed towards the row of trees at the very bottom of the garden. Sakura had got Taku to remove the fence that had been there before to replace it for a nicer one within the next few days but currently their back yard was completely exposed.

"Yoichi?" I called softly, slowly getting to my feet.

Without breaking eye contact with whatever had caught his attention he moved towards me and took my hand.

"You need to go inside." He said in a voice that sounded remarkably like his father's.

"Why?" I whispered.

"There's someone watching us."

My blood ran cold at his words, my throat instantly growing to tight to call for Sasuke.
