A/N – Thanks for the comments! LiasonFan50 – Jason's not in an organization anymore. Epiphany is basically their eye in the sky for PC. So, while Johnny does like to mess with Jason, he does touch base with her from time to time to see what's going on. Jake doesn't have therapy every day, so Jason planned the trip around it.

Okay, for the next fic, I'm taking votes on who Johnny will be with. It is early Liason, so for some of these choices, I'd have to play with ages which is doable. You decide. Hannah, Siobhan, Evangeline, Sarah, Maxie, Georgie, Diane, Alexis, Carly, Claudia, Brenda, Emily, Gia, Lois, Anna, Felicia. I will take other suggestions except for Nadine. I really can't stand her.

Chapter 59

A nurse approached them. "You can visit him now."

They followed her to a room and moved inside. Milo, who was trailing them, waited in the hallway."

"He looks so peaceful," Monica said before touching Drew's hand.

"It's hard waiting. I guess you had a lot of practice."

"Unfortunately, you were trying to give me gray hair."

He smiled.

"Or was it that you just wanted to be around Epiphany?"

Jason chuckled. "Maybe subconsciously?"

He took a picture and sent it to Elizabeth. It took three hours for Drew to awake. Monica had fallen asleep, so Jason was the first person Drew saw.

"You have my face."

Jason doesn't know what to say. "I—what do you remember?"

Before he can answer, a nurse rushed inside. Monica bolted up and eyed her son.

"Drew?"

Drew's frantic gaze went to Jason.

"It's okay. You just need to get your bearings. We'll wait outside while the doctor examines you."

Drew tracked them as they left.

"What do you think it means? Did he forget?" Monica asked.

"I'm not sure. Maybe he's just confused."

The doctor rushed into the room and a half-hour later he emerged.

"How is he?"

"He's a little confused. We need to tread lightly. It might take several hours or days for him to remember more. This is uncharted territory."

"Can we go back in?"

"Yes. Try not to overwhelm him with too much information at once."

"Okay."

They tentatively moved into the room.

"Hi."

Drew's eyes narrowed. "You look familiar."

"I guess technically, I'd be your stepmother and he is your twin."

"Twin?"

"It's a lot to digest. Why don't you tell us what you do remember?"

He swallowed hard. "There was an accident—Robin. Wait! Who is Jason Morgan?

"That is me. You were given my memories. Everyone had thought I had died. After the accident, they had to do plastic surgery and your face is different now."

Drew looked pained. "Can I see?" He doesn't have Jason's memories anymore.

Monica dug a mirror out of her purse and Drew gazed into it.

"I remember."

"That's good."

"Tired."

"Close your eyes and get some rest."

"You won't leave?"

"No. You're stuck with us."

His eyes fluttered shut and soon he was asleep.

Monica wiped a tear away. "There's still a chance."

Jason hopes that he at least remembers the kids.

Drew slept through the night. After updating Elizabeth, Monica sent Jason back to the hotel while she slept at the hospital.

Drew woke up and stared at her for a while. He has a slight headache. He remembers being in the Navy Seals and his childhood. What is sketchy is everything leading up to the accident and afterward.

"You're awake," Jason said moving into the room. "You hungry?"

"Yeah."

Jason handed him a breakfast sandwich. "They said you don't have any restrictions."

"Thanks."

Jason had one too, so they ate together, and when Monica woke up, she went to the bathroom and then joined them.

"There's one for you in the bag."

"Thanks."

Drew wiped his mouth. "This must be weird for you."

"It is, but I have some experience."

"How?"

"I had a car accident with my brother and it erased twenty-one years of my life."

"Wow."

"Yeah, it was pretty intense," Jason said.

"I have some pictures in my mind. Can you help me sort them?"

"We'll do our best," Monica said.

"There was an old woman. She—I think she did this to me." The doctor had explained the surgery to him.

"Yes. Her name was Helena Cassadine."

"There was a woman that helped me after the accident. I was in the hospital and then went to live with her."

"Her name is Elizabeth. You were together for a while and then she ended up getting information that you were Jason. Do you remember being with her?"

"I remember her and the name Jake."

"That is my son's name," Jason explained.

"Okay…"

"You were also going by that name. For a while, you and Elizabeth were involved and then something happened, and she had to leave town," Monica said.

"Do you remember Sam?" Jason asked.

He thought for a moment. "No. Do you have a picture?"

Jason grabbed Drew's phone and handed it to him. "I'm sure there is one in there."

Drew looked through the pictures and Monica pointed to Sam. "She doesn't look familiar. Do I have kids with her?"

Monica moved closer. "That is Danny who was Sam's child. You thought he was biologically yours, but he's not. You love him though." She flipped to another picture. "That is Alana. She is your daughter."

"They seem familiar."

"You're a single dad now. Sam passed away a few months ago."

Drew is shocked. "Wow."

"It's a very long story," Jason said.

"Where am I?"

"Right now, you're in Switzerland, but you temporarily live in a cottage next to our house in Sicily."

"This is a lot to take in. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone."

"We're not sure how much you'll remember, but it's good that people seem familiar to you."

"You both do. It's like it's on the tip of my brain. I—did I go AWOL?"

Jason smirked. "It's taken care of. You're off the hook."

"I think I'm going to need more drugs."

Monica chuckled. "I see your sense of humor is intact."

"Do I seem different?"

"Not really. When you thought you were Jason, you didn't act like him, so I'm thinking you were always being true to your nature."

Jason's phone rang and he answered several questions and then switched over to a face chat. "Elizabeth wants to say hello." He handed the phone to Drew.

"Hi! How are you feeling?"

"Otherworldly…"

"It will probably be like that for a while." Jake handed her the baby. "Danny is outside playing, but this is your daughter, Alana."

"Daddy," Alana said making Drew smile.

"Hi, baby," he said as he perused her. "She's beautiful."

"Yes, she is. Not only that, but she's smart and loves to sing even though we don't understand the words."

Drew feels emotional. "This is hard. I feel like I know her, but I can't make a complete connection."

"Your brain is healing. Give it some time."

Alana babbled away, making him smile again.

"I remember you—kind of," he said studying Elizabeth.

"That's good."

Jake moved into the frame. "Hi,"

"Are you Jake?" He looks a lot like Drew used to look.

He smiled. "Yup."

Danny ran inside and moved next to Liz. "Dad?"

A tear ran down Drew's face. "Hi, son."

"You remember?"

"Not everything, but I remember your face. You like video games, right?"

Danny smiled. "I do." His smile faded when his dad got more upset. "Are you in pain?"

Monica grabbed the phone and passed it to Jason and then comforted Drew.

"He'll be okay. It's just overwhelming, but he remembered you, buddy. That's good."

"You'll take care of him."

"Yes, I promise."

Elizabeth appeared again. "How are you and Monica holding up?"

"It's tough, but we're fine. He just needs some time."

"I hope you're right. Does he remember anyone else?"

"He mentioned Robin."

"That's good. I miss you."

"I miss you too."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Drew sighed heavily as the doctor left the room. He seems to be able to remember faces, but there is no emotional attachment; like there isn't a connection.

"Penny for your thoughts," Monica said moving into the room.

"I'm just frustrated."

"Talk to me."

"I remember Sam now, but I don't feel anything."

"Do you have the same reaction to everyone else?"

"Yes. I remembered Danny on the phone and I felt emotional because I had remembered something, but I don't recall playing with him or us being close."

Monica pulled up a chair.

"You have to give time."

"And what if I never remember?"

"We have pictures and videos to help you, but you'll make new memories."

"I want that. I want the kids. I feel that deep inside that I belong with them."

Monica smiled. "That's good. Elizabeth is going to talk to Danny once I give her an update, so he'll know what to expect. The doctor said you need to be here another day or so. Jason will probably go back, but I'll stay and fly back with you."

"Thank you."

The nurse called for Monica and Jason took her place.

"Do you have any questions?"

"I have a ton. Can you walk me through some more of what happened after Helena?"

Jason took him through some details and Drew was floored.

"And you still like me after I stole your ex and life?"

Jason smirked. "You're family. That's important to me after everything that happened."

"Do I work?"

"No. You sold your business before you moved. Recently, you've been focused on the kids. However, you are interested in a new venture we might go into."

"Tell me about it."

Jason talked about the winery as Monica listened raptly.

"That sounds promising."

"After a few months of getting yourself together, if you still want in, then we'd love having you."

"Thank you. It sounds right. I don't think I need to think about it."

Jason smiled. "I have a question for you."

"What?"

"Do you happen to like motorcycles?"

Drew chuckled. "I used to have a Harley. I sold it at one point, but I would love to get another one."

"Well, you're in luck," Monica said. She told him about his birthday present.

"Nice. Will you come with me?" he asked Jason.

"I would love too. Jake has a bike too, so he'll probably want to come along."

"Tell me about him."

Jason described Jake's personality and some of his struggles and then went on about Cam and Aidan.

"I'm sorry they have had to go through so much, but they sound like a lot of fun."

"They are silly one minute and then such good young men the next. I'm very proud of them."

"Monica told me a lot about Danny. Is he close with your boys?"

"Yes. They try to include him. He is closer to Jake, but Aidan and Cam are good with him."

"It sounds like we all need each other."

"We do. We're a loud, obnoxious bunch."

Drew chuckled. "I think I'll like that."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

The next morning, Jason flew home. Jake has another appointment in the afternoon, so he wants to be there for it.

The boys grinned when the door opened, and his mother practically flew into Jason's arms and they kissed.

"She's happy," Cam said.

"Yeah. I'm glad," Jake said. His dream had come true and his family is better off for it.

"The kissing is still kind of gross," Aidan said.

Cam tickled him. "Wait until you get a girlfriend."

"It's different when it's mom. I already saw someone at school."

Their jaws dropped, making Aidan chuckle. He is attending an artistic high school since they offer different types of schools in Italy. Some focus on language, art, classical, or technical.

"You need to slow your roll."

Jake and Cam had Saturday classes, but the high school Aidan is attending won't, so he'll have a longer school day than his brothers did who were out of school around 1:10 pm, although they had to come home and study.

Liz and Jason retreated and then Jason got a few more hugs.

"Where's Emiliana?"

"She is at Maximus's house," Cam said.

The door flew open and Danny ran inside and into Jason's arms.

"Hey, buddy."

"Hey. How's my dad?"

They sat and Jason gave him a breakdown and then Gia entered with Alana and when she saw Jason, she made a run for it.

"Is it okay if I go to the store?" She is running low on some toddler supplies and while she hesitated at first to bother the family, she quickly learned that Alana was missed and they enjoyed spending time with her.

"Go for it. We're fine," Liz said smiling.

Jason gave Alana some kisses and then she sat on the floor and waited for the boys to join her.

"She has them wrapped."

Liz giggled. "It's pretty cute."

"I missed you so much."

"Me too. We have dinner reservations and an overnight stay. Cam has a date, but Jake will be here with Aidan."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Jason can't wait to see where Cam's head is at.

The din of the kids rose, and Jason is in heaven as he observed. He had missed their special brand of craziness.

"Aidan, I swear you grew."

Liz chuckled. "He has had a little growth spurt."

"I need new jeans, mom."

"I know. We'll go shopping over the weekend."

"I need to go pick up something for my date," Cam said.

Jason stood. "I'll walk you out."

"Okay…."

Cam grabbed his keys and they went outside. "What's up?"

"I'm just worried about you."

"Why?"

"This whole Emiliana thing must have messed with your head a little bit."

Cam smirked. "I'm fine, Jason. We're friends."

"Have you made that clear to her?"

"Not recently."

"Just—she may have more feelings than you do, so tread carefully, okay?"

Cam averted his gaze. "I understand." He isn't sure what to do about Emiliana, but he knows she has feelings for him but hopes they can be friends. She is aware that he has a date but told him to have fun. He hopes she meant it.

"Who is your date?"

"She's a girl I meant in town one day. She's nice."

"Well, have fun. Be safe."

"I will."

Jason turned to leave.

"Jason…"

"Yeah."

"Thanks for caring."

"Always."

Cam smiled as he got into the car.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Elizabeth slipped on a green dress that hugs her figure. It stops above her knee, but the back is more dramatic because it plunges low. It's a beautiful night, so she shouldn't need a sweater. Alessa was in full torture Jason mode when she helped pick it out. Jake's therapy went well and he's getting stronger. The doctor thinks that going to school has breathed new life into Jake and the change of focus is good for him.

"Mom, are you ready?" Jake asked at her door.

"I'll be down in a minute."

Jason shook his head. She had told Aidan that a few minutes prior. "Are you decent?"

"Yes."

She grabbed some earrings and started putting them on.

"Wow."

She smiled and then spun around. "How do I look?"

"I think you need to change."

Liz laughed. "I'm not changing." Her overnight bag is already in the truck, so she just grabbed a small purse.

"You look beautiful, mom."

"Thank you. Is your father nervous?"

"It's hard to tell with him, but he does keep rubbing his hands on top of his pants."

"Hmm, that might be telling. I guess I'll put him out of his misery."

"Come on, I'll escort you." He moved his elbow out and she slipped her hand in the crook of his arm.

"Why do I feel like I'm sending you to the slaughter?"

She cracked up. "You need to stop. Did Cam put you up to this?"

"No." He stopped and then faced her. "You—I love my father, but in my heart, no man will ever be good enough for you."

Her eyes pricked with tears. "Oh, Jake."

"I love you, mom. I'm glad it's dad that makes you so happy."

"He does."

"If he messes up, I'm going full out ninja enforcer on him."

She grinned. "That's good to know."

He finally smiled. "Alright, let's go." They rounded the corner. "Thank God you haven't dated since we got to Sicily. I don't think my heart could have taken it. We would have probably gotten Milo to drive while we followed you."

"You guys worry too much. I can't believe after all of this time, you don't trust my ninja moves."

Jake chuckled. "You've got a point. Cam never sees them coming."

"I may have dropped him on his head a few times."

"That explains a lot."
