World Academy W

Liam lets out a frustrated scream. "I knew we shouldn't have followed that moving floor!" he says as the pounding becomes obnoxious and the ground shatters beneath. Mattew, who is by his side, adds with a nervous smile: "It lead us to the door, didn't it?"

"Yeah! A ceiling door that is locked!" Liam says covering his ears. "And now the last thing I'm going to hear before I die is this terrible sound of destruction."

The sounds stop as he finishes the sentence. The two boys look around confused. The door is now opened, with a few confused teachers looking inside. The two students look back at them.

"Are you hurt?" one asks.

"No" the boys quietly reply.

"Good. Get out and wait outside" another teacher says as the adult rush in.

Next scene: Liam and Mattew go up and are relieved to see that the hallways here have the familiar view of the park outside. Liam gets frightened by the janitor, who shows up unexpectedly behind him.

"Oh hello" Mattew says friendly but Liam shivers in fear. The janitor looks at the scared boy and walks away almost sorry that he got out unharmed.

Next scene: Surrounded with rubble and shattered black plastic, the tiny body of a wounded girl is lifted by an unknown male teacher. The large score board has luckily missed, only hitting her arm in the fall. The hook she has fired is seen connected to a large lever which can be assumed has been the main control switch for the system.

As the teacher carries her through the destroyed hallways, electric sparks fly around them. Regaining conscious just for a second, she sees Ivan being carried by the nurse through the stretchers. Many European students are gathered next to the Doctor's office waiting. They covered themselves with blankets. Ludwig is among them, retelling how he killed the shadow kids as the other Western European students listen carefully. "Everything's fine now. You can relax" the soothing male voice says before she passes out again.

Next scene: A few days later, the school has quickly transformed into a hospital ward. "So that's why" Yasna says amazed. She lies in the hospital bed in a white nighty. Her eye is covered with a white wrap.

"Yes" the school councillor replies happy. "So what do you say. Do you agree?"

Yasna thinks about it carefully. "It is a great story..." she says quietly.

"I know what you are thinking...It's long and filled with tragedies and injustices. But believe me my dear, the good will outweigh all the bad in the end" she reassures her sweetly.

Thinking for a moment more, Yasna looks at her councillor determined and nods. The elegantly dressed woman claps her hands overjoyed. "Excellent, I will tell the principal. Now if you excuse me, I have to see how my son is doing."

As she leaves for the boy's room, Yasna notices her mother and father. "There's my little girl" he says with a smile. "We were just visiting Šćepan. He sends his regards."

Her mother hugs her and sheds a tear seeing her eye. "Don't worry. It doesn't hurt any more" the girl says trying to escape from her tight embrace. "How is my bro?"

"He'll be fine, just a few scratches" her mother composes herself just for a second before bursting into tears. She hugs her again crying. Seeing that Dafina is watching them, Yasna cannot help by feel awkward and guilty. Her friend/slash half-sister bows her head sad.

Next scene: Arthur looks around the corner. He has bandages over his mouth and head and is wearing white pyjamas. With terrified eyes, he hies avoiding the students and other staff members. Tiptoeing, he manages to get out of the school and into the garden. He looks at the sky and makes a muffled sound of relief.

"There you are" a female voice is heard behind him. To his horror, he sees Claudia walking over to him bandaged up and angry.

"And where do you think you're going?! You still owe me money remember" she yells only to be stopped by a brown hand of another student.

"Wait a moment please" Bhart says, looking in much better shape than them. "There are many who have waited for this opportunity longer than you."

As Claudia turns, she sees that a line of wounded students has already formed. Many of them were carrying sticks, metal robs and any other torture device they could find.

The shaking Arthur tries to escape but is quickly pinned down by Bhart and the others. With a savage look in his eye, Bhart ask calmly: "So you like tea? Well why don't you try this!" he says and shoves a hand-full of leaves through his bandages. Arthur let's out a muffled scream. No one comes to his aid, as many more student gather and wait calmly to get their revenge.

Next scene: The next day, the principal and the school councillor walk towards the small meeting room.

"How are the students recovering?" he asks.

"Better than expected" the councillor replies content. "They turned out to be extremely tough. I am honestly amazed that so many stayed alive. From what I heard, some were found with most of their limbs barely dangling from their bodies. And yet they were still breathing."

"Oh" the principal replies with a blank expression.

"I'm only for the students that did lose their lives" she says morning. Her collocutor is unusually quiet. A little hesitant at first, he says: "Do not worry about them. It's been taken care off."

The woman observes him with a slight smile: "How so?"

The principal looks back as his sharp moustaches widen into a smirk. "I knew he was going to cheat. That is why I...took a little stroll."

Flashback: A male pale student squats near a bunch of shadow kids brutally beating a lifeless body. He looks up only to see the principal looking down at him. The man radiating a bright blueish lights extends his hand to him. The boy accepts it and stands up illuminated by the light. We see his body is transparent and floating above the ground. The man with white hair and moustaches signals him to come with him and, as he does so, the boy glances back to the body being kicked around. It looks exactly like him only covered in blood.

End of flashback: "I had to do something. This way we don't have to start all over again" the principal says serious and slightly melancholic.

The woman next to him nods as a way of complimenting his good thinking. They enter the meeting room content.

Next scene: A large table in the school's meeting room. The gym teacher is on one side while the principal, the school councillor while a few other important staff members. like the school doctor and the nurse, are on the other. He looks happy while saying: "I suppose a promotion is in order."

The principal tilts his head and raises his eyebrows.

"A celebratory feast?" the gym teacher adds slightly less confident.

The principal puts his elbows on the table and starts: "Mr. Beilschmidt, I was told about your contribution to this rescue mission. It was a little unorthodox but without it I don't know how we would have saved the children in time. For that I congratulate you on a job well done."

The teacher smiles relieved.

"However, there is an issue with another one of your decision which hurt me greatly" the principal adds slightly sad.

"What...what do you mean?" the gym teacher replies. The principal nods and allows the councillor to continue which she does reluctantly. "We have checked all the saved recordings and found some interesting information. Mainly that some students did not have even the vaguest recollection of the school shootings committed by your son, Ludwig Beilschmidt."

"So?" the teacher scoffs. "Wasn't that the point of the cameras? To make the students think less about their skirmishes so that the school can run smoothly? If I didn't do that, there would be a bloodbath of students who couldn't think of nothing else."

"Yes...you are right about that. However, it was noted that you misused your position as the head photographer and choose, asking no one else, which events will be forgotten and which will not. For example, it seems that you completely forgot to erase the bad memories of the former BFF club which caused much pain to all the students involved."

The teacher looks away disinterested. "They would have acted that way even if I snapped pictures of them each day of the week."

"That was not your decision to make!" the principal yells irritated. "You could have ruined everything!"

The gym teacher recoils afraid. "I understand. I apologise" he says with his head bowed.

The council members look at each other. The principal's new secretary stands up and states: "By the decision of this council, it was decided that the accused will be stripped of his school duties."

As she reads, we watch the sad man look at the table in front of him.

"A plaque for his achievement will be put in the main hall for everyone to see and remember. However, from this moment on, the accused will be asked to resign from his duties willingly as to avoid public humiliation. This council believes this decision is in the best interest of the school and the accused. That is all."

As she reads, we see the now former teacher going into the large city gym. The others look at the new-comer and continues exercising as he puts away his gym bag with a sigh.
