'Knock knock knock.'

Ash looked at his clock, it was around 3 am.

'Knock knock knock.'

"Okay, hold on." Ash said getting up, and out of his bed.

Opening his door, Chloe quickly made her way in.

"Chloe? What are you doing? Do you have any idea what time it is?" Ash asked half asleep.

"Roughly 3AM. That's beside the point, I need your help. My teacher asked me to bring in another researcher to go over some of the things we do here. I don't want to bring my dad because that would be weird. Goh knows to many of them. Ren is just odd, and Chrysa isn't coming in today." Chloe said listing off the lab assistants.

"Okay, slow down. Why do you need me exactly, and why did you wait until now?" Ash asked groggily.

"I just saw the message from my teacher. She sent it while we were on a flight back, and I didn't notice when we landed." Chloe said amidst a panic.

"Okay, okay. This couldn't have waited a few hours because?" Ash asked impatiently.

"Because several of them know of the young lab assistants, Goh and Ashley!" Chloe said putting emphasis on the last part.

"So I show up as Ashley. No problem, good night." Ash said trying to shoo Chloe out.

"No, big problem. This is important to me, and this isn't your average school, you need to look nice." Chloe said.

"You're going to make me start getting ready now, aren't you?" Ash asked, defeated.

"Yes please." Chloe said excitedly.

"Okay let me shower and everything, you find something that'll work for clothes, and I'll get some things ready after that." Ash said heading to the washroom.

"Here, try this one." Chloe said handing him a dress.

"Nope." Ash denied it quickly.

"Ash, please wear a skirt for this." Chloe pleaded.

"The skirt isn't the issue for once. That's not exactly a school approved dress." Ash said handing it back.

It was the dress from Shamouti Island, while it was nice, he wasn't to sure about wearing it all day.

"What about the one from Kalos?" Chloe asked.

"That's almost too formal. I've seen your uniform, let's try and dial it back a bit." Ash said.

"Wallace Cup?" Chloe said holding the blue dress.

"How long am I going to be like this?" Ash asked.

"A few hours at least, possibly more." Chloe said hesitantly.

"I want something warmer in that case." Ash said, going to his closet.

"Well Ash, what do you recommend then?" Chloe asked, stumped.

"Let me pick it out. You can say yes or no, and we'll work from there. I have to have one outfit that we can both agree on." Ash said looking through his things.

"Okay, but hurry up." Chloe said.

"We have another two and a half hours before you even leave. Stop worrying." Ash said calmly.

"And don't go back to sleep." Chloe said a bit louder than intended.

About twenty minutes later, Ash came out of his room. He had on a blue tunic dress, that draped over him, but in a nice way. Along with some black leggings, and some brown hiking boots. He had fixed his hair up a bit, with his bangs swept to the side.

"I didn't think you had it in you." Chloe said, a bit surprised at the look. "Does it fit what you want?" Chloe asked, double checking it.

"Yeah, how about you?" Ash replied.

"Aren't those the boots that you twisted your ankle in?" Chloe asked, recognizing them.

"Seriously, I ran through a dimly lit cave, in heels. Which by the way was my first time wearing heels, and you remember the wipe out I had when you weren't there!" Ash exclaimed.

"Sorry, just noticed. But anyways this is good for me." Chloe said backing up. "One more thing, could you maybe bring a bit of a variety of Pokémon. A lot of my classmates haven't travelled around the world like you have." Chloe asked politely,

"Most people haven't traveled quite like me, but no problem." Ash said with a smile.

Ash was out back trying to find Mudkip, when he heard someone approaching. Ash quickly turned around to see Professor Cerise in a robe, holding two steaming mugs.

"Here, it usually helps calm my nerves." Professor Cerise said.

Ash took a sip of what he know knew was tea.

"This is from Hoenn, isn't it?" Ash asked, a bit relaxed.

"That's a smart tongue , I'm surprised you can tell." Professor Cerise said.

"It's the kick, most berries grown in Hoenn have that to them." Ash said taking another sip.

"Chloe told me she's taking you to school." Professor Cerise said calmly.

"Is that alright?" Ash asked.

"I think it's great. Much like Chloe, a lot of those kids are from better off families. Some of them have probably only been to resorts. Having someone with a different view of the world entirely, I think Chloe is actually excited about this." Professor Cerise said with a smile.

"Well, as fun as this is, I still have to find Mudkip, and three more Pokémon." Ash said getting back to his search.

At Chloe's school

"Class, we have a special opportunity here. Chloe has asked one of the researchers at her fathers lab to come and teach today." The teacher said, with a smile.

Chloe slightly panicked. She did not realize that's what Ash would have been doing. If she knew, she would have asked Ren, at least he could keep going for hours.

"Everyone welcome Ashley." The teacher said opening the door.

Ash had heard what was expected of him. Chloe owed him big time.

"I thought you'd have brought a plan." The teacher whispered.

"Sometimes the best plan is no plan." Ash said confidently.

Approaching the blackboard, Ash went to work, drawing out Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos.

"So these are the six regions that have an official long running Pokemon league. I have the experience of being to all of them." Ash began.

Around lunch

"Ashley, how did you do all that!" Chloe said shocked.

"I just started going, and figured I'd either run out of things to say, or run out of time." Ash said calmly.

He had gone over demographics, pokemon, environments and even gym leaders in the regions. He hadn't even gotten into what he does as part of the lab team.

"What in the?" Ash asked, feeling his phone go off. "A challenger, here! Now!" Ash said shocked.

"Let me see that." Chloe said. "Ashley, that's the principal. I didn't even know he was a trainer." Chloe said surprised.

"Either way, I think your class is in for a treat." Ash said excitedly.

Out behind the school.

"So Miss Ashley, if you think you're ready. Shall we begin?" The principle asked, holding a pokeball.

"Let's." Ash said holding up one of his own.

"Kangaskhan come forth!"

"Farfetch'd I choose you!"

"Look closely everyone, you'll see that Farfetch'd isn't like one you see here in Kanto." The Principle said with a laugh.

"Farfetch'd use Leaf Blade!"

"Kangaskhan use Mega Punch!"

The attacks collided, Farfetch'd's leek taking the hit.

"Now Kangaskahn use Stomp!"

"Farfetch'd use Brick Break!"

The Pokémon collided again, neither attack necessarily landing a great hit.

"Farfetch'd try a Leaf Blade again!"

"Kangaskhan use Body Slam!"

Despite landing a hit, Farfetch'd was stuck under the Kangaskhan.

"Now Kangaskhan use Aerial Ace!"

"Farfetch'd block it with your leek!"

It was no good, as the attack still managed to hit.

"Fetch!" Farfetch'd said, getting back up.

"Farfetch'd use Brick Break!"

As Farfetch'd's leek hit Kangaskhan, it began to glow. As the glow faded, in its place was a new Pokémon.

"Who's that Pokémon?" Chloe asked pulling out her phone.

'Sirfetch'd the Wild Duck Pokémon. After deflecting attacks with its hard leaf shield, it strikes back with its hard leek stalk. The leek stalk is both weapon and food.'

"Alright then Sirfetch'd let's show them your new power. Use Meteor Assault!"

Sirfetch'd struck hard, knocking out Kangaskhan. Then the school bell rang.

"Well I believe that's enough excitement for one day. Everyone return to your classrooms, except you young lady." The principal said to Ash.

"Why do I feel like I'm in trouble, even though I don't go here?" Ash asked.

"What, no. It was a half day thing. You're done for the day." The Principal said.

"What about the battle?" Ash asked.

"What about it. I only have Kangaskhan. You won. Enjoy it." The Principal said walking off.
