A/N: Here it is, the final chapter of the Halo 3 Gameplay that Night Raid is going to play and also the last chapter for 2020 before my six month long break from walkthrough fanfiction. Please keep in mind that I'm going to focus on the Rookie of Night Raid to switch to storytelling next year since I cannot leave such story. And about the TES/ AGK crossover plan, I think I need to consider help from other people who knows the lore.
Disclaimer: I do not own Akame Ga Kiru and Halo. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners.
Thirty minutes. Thirty long minutes that Night Raid had their break from after playing the Level Cortana. Unlike the previous two breaks, they were quite disgusted by the Flood's hivemind and could really see the images in their heads.
"Ugh, I need some alcohol." Leone groaned as she could still remember in seeing the Flood's Hivemind in her head.
"Just wait Leone, Delta is preparing tea for all of us." Najenda reminded the alcoholic blonde.
Just then, Delta arrived with Sentinels carrying multiple cup of teas. "Sorry if I took so long." The sentinels then gave everyone the cup of tea.
After everyone got their tea, they soon drank it and soon they had a reaction that Delta really expected. "I got to say, this taste really nice." Mine admitted as she put the cup down in the table.
"This really got my mind off from that mission." Leone said as she jugged the tea down and soon slammed the cup in the table.
"I would have to agree with you." Lubbock agreed as he finished his tea.
"This really must be nice." Susanoo said as he crossed his arms.
"Well, this is Forerunner tea that I really wanted to make….." Delta said sheepishly.
"Never mind about that, I want to play the next mission." Leone said as she was about to pick up the controller.
"Then, let's get straight to it." Akame said as she picked up the controllers. Soon, Leone, Tatsumi and Wave picked up the controllers to play the next and final mission.
(Cutscene)
Fades in to the Pelican John-117, Thel 'Vadam and Cortana are on board and heading towards Installation 08. The CAS-class assault carrier Shadow of Intent flies slowly under the megastructure. Cuts to the cockpit of the Pelican.
Shipmaster Rtas 'VadumCOM: "We are aboard, Humans...and Elites. Will you not come with us, brother?"
Arbiter Thel 'Vadam: "No. This is our fight. And I will see it finished."
"At least you're tying up loose ends." Najenda said as she put the cup of tea down.
"Considering he was the commander of the Fleet of the First Halo ring; it was wise to do so." Mine added as she knows a little bit about what transpired in the first Halo Ring.
The Pelican nears the Halo ring.
Cortana: "Johnson? Do you have the Frigate?"
Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson (Video COM): "Yes, ma'am. I'll land her as close to the control room as I can."
Cortana: "Safe is better than close, Sergeant Major."
"Yeah, just a single ship would be damaged if the enemy is near its location." Wave agreed.
Johnson (Video COM): "Roger that. And ma'am? It's good to have you back."
"The nostalgia." Mez muttered.
The Pelican arrives at Halo flying over unfinished terrain. The rear port engine is too damaged for a normal landing. The Master Chief makes a crash landing in a snowy canyon near the Control Room. The Chief and the Arbiter clamber out. From behind the cliffs approaches the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn.
Cortana: "Halo. It's so new... Unfinished. I'm not exactly sure what will happen when we fire it..."
"Well, it's going to destroy the Flood." Mine bluntly stated.
"And by the condition of the Ring, it may also destroy the Ark and the Ting." Dorothea added.
"Let's hope that Sparks doesn't take his protocols too seriously." Leone finished and that made Delta sighed quietly as she knows what will happen.
The Arbiter tosses the Chief an MA5C Assault Rifle.
Master Chief Petty Officer John-117: "We'll head for the Portal. And we'll all go home."
"Let's hope it doesn't shut down before you enter through it." Kurome hoped as she wants Chief to live peacefully
(Gameplay)
Full Circle
The four prepare to head for the Control Room, making sure that they stock up on enough supplies from their crashed Pelican.
Cortana: "Head through the cliffs."
The four do so and head through the icy caves. As they entered through the Cave, Wave spotted something and decided to go to it.
Cortana: "Where are you going?"
"Might be another terminal." Lubbock guessed.
Figuring that it is something important, the Four decides to go to a room, where they find another terminal.
Cortana: "Wait, what's that?"
"Looks like we found another terminal." Tatsumi said.
"And it seems like it's important by the way that Cortana said it." Mine added.
"We should look at it." Leone stated.
"Probably a good idea." Akame said as she activates the terminal.
[Father],
I hope this message finds you well
and helps you understand my
decision. Today I leave the only
world I have ever called home, not
for glory or [the anomalous desire
to end another's life[?]] as you
have [indicted]; but to [travel the
path of demons[?]] to spare the
hands of [another Father's son].
"Wait, why is the entity is saying this?" Dorothea asked in interest.
"You're going to find out soon." Delta responded.
"Had we acted sooner; had we acted
more decisively..."
Living in the past is a luxury none
of us can afford. We must learn from
it, but we cannot live there. It is
impossible to plan for the [now] -
the present is ever fleeting. [The
future] is where we must live - [the
future] is what we must plan for.
"That is true." Najenda admitted.
"That needs to apply to someone." Leone said as she was referring to the Prime Minister.
"From the looks of it, the Forerunners lived very luxuriously." Lubbock pointed out and remembered his childhood before joining the Imperial Military.
I do not look to trade my life in
order to preserve our past, but to
secure the future—and if not ours,
then the future of some [culture]
yet to come.
Night Raid was really getting interested on what they were seeing. They all lean a bit to continue looking at the terminal.
Isn't sacrifice in the interest of
others what you spoke of as being so
noble? Should I have allowed another
to bloody his hands while I remained
safe behind a [shield of privilege]?
You raised me better than that.

(Upon shutdown, from the Entity: "I'll tell you who I am. I am Mendicant Bias. This is what I have done.")
At that moment, everyone except Delta and Queue Fives had their jaws dropped when they saw the name Mendicant Bias.
"WHAT!?" Everyone apart from Akame, Esdeath, Susanoo, Bols and Najenda shouted in shock.
"Mendicant Bias was talking to us this entire time?!" Lubbock shouted upon the discovery.
"This was quite the reveal." Run added as he was looking over his notes.

/FRAGMENT 7/7 [RECORDED VERBATIM
AND INTERPRETED POST-CATACLYSM]
D: Proud? When I have failed you
utterly, how can I feel anything
but sorrow?
Bias has come undone. He crossed
the line this morning - brought the
abomination with him - and destroyed
your waiting rescue party.
"Wait, he brought the Gravemind with him?!" Dorothea said in realization.
"He was under the influence of the logic plague, Reclaimer." Delta reminded her.
"How did he get the logic plague?" Tatsumi asked.
Delta was hesitant at first, but decide to give out the answer half truthfully. "Let's say that he had this conversation with this entity for forty three years."
It's over. We're activating the
[destructive arrayed matrix],
our shameful last resort.
I can picture you in your garden,
surveying all you have created -
surveying all you have preserved.
And I curse the circumstance that
keeps my finger on the trigger.
"Wait, isn't this…." Wave said.
"The final hours of the Forerunner war with the Flood." Delta finished.
D: Of all the fates to befall us,
this is the cruelest of all.
My inaction and hesitation and
foolishness kept me here, on the
wrong side of the line. And [300
years[?]] of our society's failure
and miscalculation makes me your
executioner.
It's too much to bear.

D: Mendicant Bias is trying to
prevent us from firing the Array.
He speeds back to the Ark, but he
won't succeed. Offensive Bias will
stop him, and I will burn this
stinking menace in your name.
"Delta, who is exactly Offensive Bias?" Dorothea asked.
"Well to put it in simplistic terms, he was Mendicant Bias's counterpart during the final days of the War." Delta responded as she knows someone who is similar to that AI. It was Najenda.
And then?
I will begin our Great Journey
without you, carrying this bitter

"Ugh, this hurts my eyes." Leone said as she rubs her eyes.
"I have to admit, reading all of this is quite interesting." Lubbock admitted.
(Being rerouted within the terminal)
You don't know the contortions I had
to go through to follow you here,
Reclaimer. I know what you're here
for. What position do I take? Will I
follow one betrayal with another?
"Wait, he's seriously going to help us?" Mine's eyebrow rose in suspension.
You're going to say I'm making a
habit of turning on my masters.
"You did." Najenda said sardonically as Mendicant was the one who led the Forerunners to their downfall.
"I might sympathise with him." Akame added as she has a feeling that Mendicant Bias was influenced by this logic plague and was following blindly.
But the one that destroyed me long
ago, in the upper atmosphere of a
world far distant from here, was an
implement far cruder than I.
My weakness was capacity -
unintentional though it was! -
to choose the Flood. A mistake my
makers would not soon forgive.
But I want something far different
from you, Reclaimer.
Atonement.
"He's seeking atonement?" Kurome said as she saw that word.
"He must've realised his mistake of siding with them and that might have changed his mind." Najenda added as she was glad that Mendicant was finally going to finish his job that he made.
And so here at the end of my life,
I do once again betray a former
master. The path ahead is fraught
with peril. But I will do all I can
to keep it stable - keep you safe.
I'm not so foolish to think this
will absolve me of my sins. One life
hardly balances billions.
"Glad that he's finally going to betray the Flood." Seyru sighed as she in now happy that Mendicant is no longer a fanatic for the Flood.
"Yeah, and he's going to help us destroy the Flood." Wave added.
But I would have my masters know
that I have changed.
And you shall be my example.
"Man, he really wants to redeem himself." Leone spoke up.
"After all, he was the one responsible for ending the Forerunner's civilisation Reclaimer." Delta informed with an expression of sadness.
Night Raid looked at her and that made her sigh. "I know that you're all angry about what he did Reclaimers, but it wasn't his fault. Sure his actions were very vile but you need to know that he Gravemind had corrupted him."
"Are you sure about that?" Mine asked the monitor.
"I am sure Reclaimer." Delta responded calmly as she kept her emotion in check. "Shall we resume the game then?" Everyone soon faced back in the screen to resume the game.
Cortana: "How many of these have you found?"
"Well, we only found six." Akame answered Cortana's question.
Going back in their way of where they were meant to go, the four soon arrived at the foot of the pyramid-like Control Room structure. Suddenly, Flood dispersal pods begin to drop in.
"For fuck sake." Leone exclaimed.
"The Flood is here." Tatsumi added.
"Are they really trying to build a Gravemind there?" Dorothea asked.
"Affirmative Reclaimer so that they would stop them from firing the Ring." Delta answered.
Gravemind: (angrily) "Did you think me defeated?!"
Cortana: "Flood dispersal pods! Control Room's at the top of that tower, Chief, go!"
The four fight their way through numerous combat forms and pick up new munition and head for a ramp on the right side of the tower. More Flood drop in on them, but Sentinels appear and provide cover fire. They push their way up the tower, but the Flood continues to attack with overwhelming force. Soon however, Johnson appears on the cliff with a Spartan Laser, shooting down Flood forms.
"Thank God he's here." Leone said in excitement.
JohnsonCOM: "I got you covered, Chief. Meet you at the top of that tower."
With Johnson covering them, the four get closer to the top. Johnson continues to fire from the cliff.
JohnsonCOM: "Flood are crawling all over that tower; watch yourself."
The four reach the top floor. Johnson provides cover fire for them as numerous Flood forms continue assaulting the tower.
JohnsonCOM: "Spark? You in there? Open the damn door!"
343 Guilty SparkCOM: "Of course, Reclaimer. Just as soon as you dispose of all proximate Flood threats. I'm afraid contamination protocols do not allow me to-"
JohnsonCOM: "Yeah, yeah, I hear you!"
Cortana: "Was that the Monitor? You didn't tell me he was here. Well, we are finally doing what he wanted."
"Yeah sure….." Leone said suspiciously.
The Flood continues to stubbornly attack with overwhelming force.
Gravemind: "I have beaten fleets of thousands! Consumed a galaxy of flesh and mind and bone!"
"Wait, he'd consumed the Entire GALAXY?!" Sheele said in shock.
"Affirmative Reclaimer." Delta answered as she remembers the Galaxy being consumed by the Flood.
"Whelp, now that really want to make me activate the Ring ASAP." Lubbock admitted.
The four, Sergeant Johnson and any surviving Sentinels fight off wave after wave of Flood. Finally the tower is secured. Johnson comes down from the cliff and joins the four
Johnson: "Open up! Coast is clear."
CortanaCOM: "Not for long. I'm tracking additional dispersal pods. They'll be hitting any minute!"
"We need to activate the ring." Tatsumi exclaimed.
The doors to the tower open.
Johnson: "Chief, Arbiter! Let's move!"
The five enters the tower. They move down a corridor, turn the corner, and arrive at a set of blast doors.
Gravemind (Gravemind Moment): "Do I take life or give it? Who is victim, and who is foe?"
"Wait, what is he referring to?" Stylish asked the monitor.
"Remember about the Forerunner Precursor War?" Delta reminded everyone who soon nods their heads. "Well, he was referring to that."
"I see…" Run stated.
Cortana: "It's trying to rebuild itself on this ring!"
Johnson: "Hurry! Control Room's close!"
"Glad you're here to help us." Lubbock said.
"And once that's down, we're all going home alive." Leone added with excitement, which then made Delta sighed quietly since she knows what will transpire next.
The five heads through another set of blast doors and finally reaches the Control Room.
(Cutscene)
The Control Room doors open up. The Chief, the Arbiter and Johnson cautiously enter. Hearing the shrieks and growls of the approaching Flood, they turn around, weapons drawn. The second set of blast doors closes, sealing the Flood out. The Arbiter stands guard at the doorway while the Chief and Johnson prepare to activate the installation.
"They won't be a problem for now." Mine said.
"We're just going to activate the Ring and leave."
Cortana: "Yank me, Chief."
The Chief removes Cortana's data chip from his helmet.
Johnson: "I'm not gonna lose her too."
"Good." Wave and Akame agreed as they hated losing their comrades.
The Chief tosses the data chip to Johnson, who heads for the control panel. A rotating holographic image of the incomplete Halo ring hovers at the center of the chamber.
343 Guilty Spark appears from above and accompanies Johnson.
343 Guilty Spark: (humming to himself) "Oh, hello! Wonderful news - the installation is almost complete!"
Johnson: (uninterested) "Terrific."
343 Guilty Spark: "Yes...isn't it? (Short but uneasy silence) I have begun my simulations. No promises, but initial results indicate this facility should be ready to fire...in just a few more days!"
"Is he taking his protocols seriously at this stage?" Leone asked the monitor.
Johnson: (impatiently) "We don't have a few more days!" (gets ready to activate the installation)
"I'd agreed with you." Leone nodded her head.
"I believe that Sparks have a valid point." Najenda countered as she hears Spark's concern in his voice.
343 Guilty Spark: (shocked, alarmed) "Bu-bu-but a premature firing will destroy the Ark!"
Johnson: (dismissively) "Deal with it."
343 Guilty Spark: (quietly, to himself) "...will destroy this installation."
"Wait WHAT!?" Most of them shouted apart from Akame, Esdeath, Queue and Delta.
Spark's "eye" suddenly turns red and he blasts Johnson with his energy beam.
WHAT THE FUCK!" Mine exclaimed as she and Night Raid were shocked that Sparks did thet to Johnson.
"Why did he do that?" Tatsumi said as he was holding a bit of anger due to what Sparks had did.
"He did have a valid point Reclaimers, but that wasn't really necessary." Delta sighed.
"Wait, why aren't you fazed by it?" Wave asked the monitor, to which it responded by glaring at him. "Oh, I see."
Johnson: (screams) "Aaaah!"
"I haven't heard Johnson screamed." Leone said.
343 Guilty Spark: "Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Absolutely unacceptable!"
The Chief rushes to Johnson's aid. 343 Guilty Spark shoots at the Chief who is flung backwards from the force of the blast and onto the floor. His energy shields drop and attempt to recharge.
343 Guilty Spark: (in hysterics) "Protocol dictates action! I see now that helping you was wrong!"
"And there goes Sparks with his petty protocols again." Leone grumbled. "I really want to bash his face now."
The Arbiter, hearing the commotion, moves forward, and 343 Guilty Spark blasts him as well, knocking him out of the Control Room. The Chief tries to get back up, and Spark blasts him again, knocking him to his knees. With no shields protecting him this time, his armor starts to smoke.
343 Guilty Spark: (his eye turns back to blue) "You are the child of my makers. Inheritor of all they left behind. You are Forerunner!
"What?!" Dorothea, Tatsumi, Lubbock, Leone and Wave shouted.
"Wait, how is he even Forerunner?" Mine asked in shock.
"I don't even know." Delta admitted as she was really shocked that Chief is part Forerunner. That is… wait! A spark soon came through her mind as to why Sparks said that. Perhaps she'll tell them later as she was going to be gone for a while after letting them watch Halo Legends.
343 Guilty Spark: But this ring... (his eye turns red again)...is mine."
{Gameplay}
343 Guilty Spark: "I take no pleasure in doing what must be done."
The four fires whatever weapons they have at the rampant 343 Guilty Spark with no effect whatsoever. Spark counters with his powerful laser blasts and a repulsion field that forces the four backwards.
"Fuck, he's pretty powerful." Leone said as she dodged Spark's laser.
"Remember about monitors built with such a thing?" Delta reminded them.
343 Guilty Spark: "You do not deserve this ring!"
343 Guilty Spark corners them.
343 Guilty Spark: "I have kept it safe. It belongs to me!
"Really Sparks?" Leone commented.
Unnoticed by 343 Guilty Spark, Johnson manages to sit halfway up and shoulder the Spartan Laser.
Johnson: "Not for long!"
Johnson shoots 343 Guilty Spark with his Spartan Laser. Caught off-guard, 343 Guilty Spark is blasted away from the four, falling to the ground and becoming inert.
"Sparks is still alive!" Mine shouted.
"From a blast like that." Dorothea added.
"Monitors are built to sustain and adapt to any environment within their installation." Delta informed them.
As Sparks was pushed away, the four rushes up to Johnson.
Johnson: (weakly) "Kick his ass."
Johnson passes out.
"I'll be the honours to shoot Sparks." Leone said as she picks up the Spartan Laser out of Johnson's passed out body.
"Kick his ass sis." Tatsumi cheered for Leone.
343 Guilty Spark rises from the floor, flying at a slightly tilted angle, his metal body visibly damaged.
. 343 Guilty Spark: "You - you cracked my casing!"
"Woah, that weapon did a lot of damage to Sparks." Leone murmured.
"We'll need that weapon just in case." Esdeath said as she was eying on Delta and really wanted to shoot her.
"I didn't do anything wrong Reclaimer." Delta defended herself as she remembered Esdeath's belief on the "Strongest of the Fittest."
After making the first shot, Spark begins to fly at a more tilted angle, leaking blue plasma from his sides and he begins to spark. Leone made her shot again.
343 Guilty Spark: "Accept your le-gacy!"
"Oh, I accept my legacy For Johnson and not you!" Leone shouted as she fired her second shot.
Following this, Spark's casing becomes distorted, with pieces of him sheared off completely. More plasma leaks from his sides and the sparks happen more ferociously. The right side of his 'eye' has broken off.
343 Guilty Spark: (deteriorating, breaking voice) "I a-a-a-am the Monitor of Installation Z-Zero F-Four!"
"Not for long." Leone said as she fires her third round to the traitorous monitor.
343 Guilty Spark: "Oh myyyyyyyyyy-aaahh!"
343 Guilty Spark explodes in a flash of blue and white light.
"That's what you get for hurting Johnson!" Leone reminded the dead monitor.
"Sis, he might still be alive." Tatsumi countered.
"So what, the Ark will destroy him." Leone added.
(Cutscene)
The Master Chief bends over Sergeant Johnson, who is still alive - barely.
John-117: "I'm getting you out of here."
Johnson: "No... No, you're not."
Akame began to panic as she knows what will happen to Johnson. "No, No. Johnson you-"
"Akame." Akame looked over to Leone, who also had a sad expression on her face.
"Can't believe that backstabber did that." Tatsumi mumbled in anger.
"As I said he always took his Protocols way too seriously Reclaimer." Delta sighed.
Johnson grabs the Chief's hand with Cortana's chip in his.
Johnson: "Don't - don't let her go. Don't...ever let her go. (coughs) Send me out...with a bang."
Johnson succumbs to his wounds.
Many of the group apart from Esdeath started it feel emotional when they saw Johnson.
"Johnson…." Akame could only mutter and rubbed away a single drop of tear, but she was comforted by Mine.
"It's okay, it's okay." She assured her friend.
"He died to let the Chief activate the Ring." Najenda added with sympathy.
With that said, they decide to go silent until the cutscene is over to pay their respect to the fallen Sergeant.
The Chief takes Cortana from him and lets go of his hand. He stands up, and wordlessly releases Cortana into Halo's core, gripping the data chip tightly.
Cortana: (Looks sadly at Johnson's body) "Chief... I'm so sorry."
The Master Chief says nothing. He shakes the chip with his hand but quickly stops. Cortana bows her head, eyes closed, and makes a gesture, activating Halo. She uploads herself back into her chip.
The Chief places her chip in the back of his helmet, and then turns around. Behind him, the control console lights up and throbs with power. A massive column of energy erupts from the Core and the whole Control Room starts to shake violently. A support beam falls from the ceiling and crashes into the platform. Johnson's body slides off the platform as it tilts to one side and begins to fall. The Master Chief runs for the door, which has opened again. The Arbiter can now be seen waiting for the Chief.
(Gameplay)
The Way the World Ends
Thel 'Vadam: "I am sorry, Spartan. But come."
"You're right Thel, now it's not the time to mourn." Akame agreed with the elite.
"At least he'll still be with us with spirit." Leone comforted her friend as this giving off the feel of her old comrades back in the Empire.
Pieces of the walls around them suddenly explode; the four run for the doorway leading outside, fighting a small group of Flood along the way.
The four make it back outside, revealing a piece of collapsed ice forming a slope upwards.
Thel 'Vadam: "Even in death, your Sergeant guides us on."
"Yeah," Akame agreed sadly.
Cortana: "The Dawn... Of course - the frigate! We still have a chance!"
"Thank you Johnson for leaving the frigate." Leone said to the recent deceased Sergeant.
"But we need to move now!" Wave said as he picked up another plasma rifle to fight the Flood.
Cortana: "Find the doorway in the cliffs, Chief. The Dawn is on the other side."
The four head along the cliff, encountering Flood and Sentinels, who have followed 343 Guilty Spark's lead and turned against them too.
"Oh, you're all just nothing." Tatsumi commented as he shot the Sentinels down with his Dual Wield Plasma Rifles.
They make it inside and find themselves in the middle of a battle between the Flood and a group of Sentinels.
Gravemind: (in a resigned and defeated tone) "Resignation is my virtue. Like water I ebb and flow. Defeat is simply the addition of time to a sentence I never deserved... But you imposed."
"I don't know what you mean, but you and the Flood will be permanently eradicated." Mine commented as she and a few others were quite confused as to why the Gravemind said that.
The four fight their way through a horde of Pod infectors and carrier forms.
Cortana: "Don't let this ring be the end of us, Chief."
They make it back outside where they find two Warthog waits for them.
"No way…." Wave and Tatsumi said.
"It is." Delta nodded as this was the only and only Warthog Run.
"Akame, you'll drive I shoot." Leone said as she hops on into the turret.
"Okay." She responded as she hops on into the driver's seat.
Cortana: "There! Johnson's Warthog."
As the two girls went to their warthog, Tatsumi and Wave did the same with the other one.
"Want a race?" Leone asked as she quickly paused the game.
"Yeah." Tatsumi replied as he pulled out his money.
"Okay, I betting that Akame and Leone would win." Mine assumed as she also betted.
Quickly deciding on who would win in the race, Najenda, Esdeath, Lubbock, Kurome, Bols and Run betted on the two girls while the rest betted on Wave and Tatsumi.
"This will be something that we'll remember for a long time." Wave uttered as he has a feeling that he and the others are going to like it.
Cortana: "Come on, Spartan - go, go, go!"
(Insert- Halo 3: Warthog Run)
Epic music ensures, making everyone excited on the race as the four floors it and reach an open area, a massive explosion erupts alongside them.
Cortana: "Drive, Chief. Head for the frigate."
Akame and Leone were ahead of Tatsumi and Wave as they reached a massive open structure.
Cortana: "The Dawn is close. We can make it! As long as the ground doesn't fall underneath us..."
"Glad Mendicant is helping us." Dorothea pointed out.
"Oh yea—" Leone was about to say.
"Leone!" Akame reminded her friend and saw that the two were behind the boys.
"Try to beat us now." Tatsumi said with a coy smile.
Catching up with the two in as quickly as they can, the two Warthog soon enters inside the interior of a large hallway with ramps.
Cortana: "The charging sequence...it's too much for the ring to take!"
"We'll get there, don't worry Cortana." Lubbock said as he and the others were humming to the theme.
They soon reach another open structure where battles between the Flood and Sentinels continue.
Cortana: "Halo is ripping itself apart!"
They come upon a large open stretch.
Cortana: "Hurry, Chief! Don't stop!"
Cortana: "Charging sequence at 30%..."
"Akame, speed up!" Leone said as she was shooting at any Enemy that was in their way.
"You got that." Akame nodded as she was speeding up.
They reach one more open structure, this time a few Flood pure forms await them. The girls managed to get a few of them but Tatsumi and Wave were caught up.
"Come on!" Tatsumi said as he was catching up to the two girls.
Cortana: "50%, Chief!"
"We're halfway through." Leone said as she shot down Five Sentinels.
They reach another hallway with ramps, where a larger battle between Sentinels and the Flood rages on.
Cortana: "70%!"
The two Warthogs makes it out of the hallway battle, to an area where the frigate can be seen from a distance.
"Yea! We're almost there!" Leone exclaimed.
"We cannot lose the race." Tatsumi told his friend.
"By the looks of it, the girls are definitely going o win." Wave assured Tatsumi.
"Well, looks like you two are going to be doing to be doing our chores for a while." Leone reminded them.
"What!" The two shouted.
"Tatsumi, Wave…" Najenda looked at them who had a smile on her face, indicating that the two are going to have to do the two girls' chores.
Cortana: "80% charged!"
They head for the final bend, encountering more Sentinels. In the distance, a small group of Flood can be seen falling off a collapsing section of platform.
Cortana: (desperately) "90% - firing sequence initiated!"
With the two boys behind, Akame and Leone, make it to the final straight stretch to the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn, but there's a 70m (230ft) gap of thin air between the open cargo bay and the edge of the structure.
"Ready Akame?" Leone looked at her friend.
"I'm ready." The red eyed nodded.
Cortana: "Gun it, Chief! Jump! Floor it! Right into the hangar!"
The girls then landed on the Hanger.
Leone then smiled at the two. "Looks lime you two are going to be doing out chores for a while."
"Alright Sis, we'll do your chores." Tatsumi said.
(Cutscene)
The Warthog makes the jump, but doesn't land well, tumbling and rolling as it crashes into the frigate's hangar. The Master Chief and the Arbiter recover, then the Forward Unto Dawn shifts. A Scorpion Tank begins sliding towards the Arbiter, who takes cover behind a pile of crates. The tank plows into it. The Chief leaps over the Warthog and hesitates, seeing the Arbiter digging himself out of the crates. The Chief nods at him and the Arbiter nods back.
"The sign of their friendship." Lubbock pointed out.
"Glad the two made amends since the beginning." Kurome added.
The Arbiter rushes to the bridge while the Chief runs to the hangar control terminal and plugs Cortana in to take control of the frigate. Her avatar appears from a holotank next to the terminal.
Cortana: "Hang on!"
Cortana ignites the thrusters at full burn and launches the Forward Unto Dawn at full speed. The Chief grabs onto the terminal, hanging on for dear life as the Forward Unto Dawn leaves Halo's atmosphere. As the Chief tries to stay anchored, the Warthog flies out, striking the Chief on its way through the open hangar doors and out into empty space. The Chief flies off the panel, then glides down the floor towards the doors, with a self-destructing Halo looming beneath. The Chief punches his fist hard into the floor to get a grip, halting near the back end of the hangar. Cortana reaches out her arm towards him, scared of losing him.
Cortana: "Chief!"
Akame was about to comment, but Leone patted her. "It's right, Chief's going to survive."
The Scorpion flies out towards the Chief. He ducks his head just in time as it flies over him, narrowly missing the Chief but smashing the floor behind him and falling back towards Halo.
Tatsumi sighed in relief. "That was close."
The Chief begins to climb back up to Cortana, finally making it to the holotank. Meanwhile, the Arbiter makes it to the bridge and sits down at the controls. The Chief braces behind the panel, plugging Cortana back into his helmet.
Cortana: "If we don't make it..."
John-117: (Determined) "We'll make it."
"Yeah, please make it." Kurome prayed.
Cortana: "It's been an honor serving with you, John."
No one in the group is going to complain about Cortana calling Chief John because it was something personal.
The Chief finally rests his head back, exhausted. Halo fires and then suddenly explodes, engulfing the hangar in a blinding white light. All goes blank.
Level ends
As the level ends, everyone soon put the controllers down in the table to watch the final cutscene.
Eulogy
(Final)
On a hillside near the Portal at Voi, which has now been shut down, Marines gather. Fleet Admiral Lord Terrence Hood removes his hat, and begins his speech.
"Everyone, please give your respect to the fallen ones." Najenda ordered all of them.
With that said, everyone then went silent as they paid their respect to the fallen ones of the Human-Covenant War.
Lord Hood: "For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure..."
Flashback: The front half of the Forward Unto Dawn enters the Earth's atmosphere, and crashes into the Indian Ocean. Two marines track its descent.
Lord Hood (voiceover): "...sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight, our fight, was elsewhere."
Flashback continued: An engineering crew cuts into the Forward Unto Dawn with torches while a rescue Pelican hovers overhead. The Arbiter emerges from the wreckage.
Everyone became confused as they want to know why Chief and Cortana weren't with them. Kurome was the first one to speak up. "Where's Chief?"
"Keep watching Reclaimer." Delta answered respectfully.
Flashback ends: The Arbiter is revealed to be present at the memorial, standing solemnly with the Marines. The Shadow of Intent can be seen hovering above in the distance.
"My my, looks like Thel's going to the funeral that he caused a lot of deaths for the humans." Esdeath shook her head.
"He was only following orders, not his own desire Reclaimer." Delta reminded her.
Lord Hood: "As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren. A memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."
Lord Hood puts his hat back on and salutes. Sergeant Stacker turns to the other Marines present.
Gunnery Sergeant Reynolds: "Present arms!"
Seven Marines raise their Battle Rifles and each fire a single burst of three shots: a 3-volley salute. The view pans over the Portal, now closed and silent, and Mount Kilimanjaro against the evening sky.
Later, the Arbiter approaches Lord Hood, standing alone in front of the Memorial, which appears to be a Pelican wing, decorated with pictures of the fallen, including Commander Miranda Keyes and Sergeant Major Avery Johnson, along with flowers, medals, ribbons, and other tokens of respect.
"Man, wish we got that back in the Empire." Lubbock stated.
"But due to corruption within the Captial, we cannot afford such a thing." Bols sighed sadly.
Under the UNSC emblem is an inscription commemorating the dead:
IN MEMORY OF THOSE FALLEN
IN THE DEFENSE OF EARTH
AND HER COLONIES
MARCH 3, 2553
Lord Hood and the Arbiter stare at the Memorial.
Lord Hood: "I remember how this war started. What your kind did to mine. I can't forgive you. But..."
Hood turns to the Arbiter and holds out his hand.
Lord Hood: "You have my thanks. For standing by him to the end."
"Well, if the Elites didn't side with them the humans wouldn't win the war." Mine pointed out.
The Arbiter slowly shakes Admiral Hood's hand. After letting go, Hood's eyes are drawn to one part of the memorial in particular.
Lord Hood: "Hard to believe he's dead."
Everyone had their heart sunk when they all knew who he was referring to.
"No…"
"It can't be…"
"Chief's gone….."
Akame really wanted to cry right now, but couldn't since Leone hugged her. With her face being in between her breast. "It's okay, at least he will still be remembered."
"Thank you." Akame said to her friend.
The Arbiter looks away, toward the Shadow of Intent, hovering silently in the sky.
Thel 'Vadam: (quietly) "Were it so easy."
"Yeah, were it so easy." Tatsumi repeated.
The Arbiter leaves the Memorial. His Phantom heads back to the Shadow of Intent, hovering in about the same position as the Portal to the Ark once was. The Arbiter meets Shipmaster Rtas 'Vadum on the bridge. 'Vadum is looking at a holographic image of Earth.
Rtas 'Vadum: "Things look different. Without the Prophets' lies clouding my vision. I would like to see our own world - to know that it is safe."
"Dorothea wanted to know the name of the Elite's homeworld. "Delta what's their world called?"
Delta looked at the former blood sucker. "It is called Sanghelios and you might be very interested in their history."
The Arbiter reassuringly places a hand on 'Vadum's shoulder.
Thel 'Vadam: "Fear not. For we have made it so."
The Arbiter clenches his fist to his chest.
Rtas 'Vadum: "By your word, Arbiter." (clenches his fist to his chest likewise to Thel 'Vadam.)
The Arbiter takes a seat on the command chair, the one normally used by Rtas 'Vadum.
Thel 'Vadam: "Take us home."
The Shadow of Intent leaves Earth.
Going back to the Voi Memorial, the view shows that next to the print "March 3, 2553", the number "117" is carved into the metal of the wing, and a rank insignia is taped to the upper right of it as a tribute to the Master Chief.
"Chief is going to inspire people to be like him." Wave said.
"Calm, Stoic, sometimes blunt. Still, he's a human." Najenda added with a small smile.
Many og=f them bowed their heads and paied their respect to the fallen Spartan. But that would soon change as the credits rolled.
Fade to black. Credits roll.
"Wait, that—" Leone was about to say when something unexpected occurred.
Epilogue
Cortana: "Chief? Can you hear me?"
Leone gasped. "Wait, doesn't that mean—"
The Master Chief, very much alive, awakens, floating in zero gravity in a debris-filled hallway on board the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn.
Cortana: (relieved) "I thought I'd lost you, too."
"He's alive!" Cosmina exclaimed in happiness.
"Thank God!" Tatsumi said in relief.
"Well, looks like luck is still in his side." Najenda added as she puffed out smoke.
The Master Chief looks at a gaping hole in the hallway. He drifts to his floating assault rifle and holsters it, then begins to drift to the end of the hallway.
"Seems like their stranded in space." Esdeath informed the group.
"Wait doesn't that mean that the other half in still in space somewhere?" Dorothea questioned as to why Chief was floating.
John-117: "What happened?"
Cortana: "I'm not sure. When Halo fired, it shook itself to pieces. Did a number on the Ark. The Portal couldn't sustain itself. We made it through just as it collapsed."
The Chief reaches the end of the hallway, which opens up into empty space. The Forward Unto Dawn is revealed to be sheared in half, floating in a cloud of its own debris, still red-hot from the sudden slipspace slowdown.
"I feel bad for them since they're alive." Akame sighed in sympathy.
"Don't worry, they'll find them." Leone tried to assure her.
Cortana: "Well... some of us made it."
The Forward Unto Dawn's remaining half continues to drift aimlessly in unknown space.
The Chief begins to drift further inside the ship, finding a row of cryotubes complete with a holotank to plug Cortana into.
Cortana: "But you did it. Truth and the Covenant, the Flood..."
The Chief plugs Cortana's data chip into the holotank and she appears.
Cortana: "It's finished."
"Well, it's not really finished since there is a huge power vacuum due to the fact that the Covenant Empire was big." Najenda countered.
"And considering that there might be a lot of remnant factions, I'd say that there's going to be numerous factions who want to claim that their still Covenant." Bulat added.
"I'm glad that the UNSC would only deal with the Remnant Factions and not the Flood." Tatsumi sighed in relief.
The Master Chief turns off the flashlight on his helmet.
John-117: "It's finished."
The Chief places his assault rifle in one of the rackets on the wall.
Cortana: "I'll drop a beacon, but it'll be a while before anyone finds us."
The Chief climbs into one of the cryotubes.
"Guys, does this give you any nostalgia?" Lubbock asked to anybody.
"Uh-huh, we start with Chief exiting Cryostasis and now we're seeing him enter Cryostasis." Seyru answered the question.
Cortana: "Years, even."
The cryotube door begins to close.
Cortana: "I'll miss you."
"You won't miss him." Kurome assured the AI.
John-117: "Wake me. When you need me."
"Well, looks like he's going to be asleep for a long time." Esdeath pointed out.
"But for how long?" Wave pointed out.
"Well, if you want to be exact Reclaimer, that would be four years, seven months and three days ." Delta answered as she knows how long they were on the destroyed Forward Unto Dawn.
Cortana smiles, nodding. The cryotube closes and seals, freezing the Master Chief and bringing the Halo Trilogy to its conclusion.
Fade to black
"I have a feeling that there's more." Wave commented.
The back half of the Forward Unto Dawn is seen drifting towards a planet.
Dorothea's eyes went wide upon seeing the planet. "Delta isn't that…?"
The monitor only nodded as she knows what installation it is. "It is. A Forerunner Planet."
"Man, being stuck in space for so long means another adventure!" Leone exclaimed in happiness.
A star is eclipsed by the Forward Unto Dawn for a second as it slowly comes out from behind the planet, casting light upon it momentarily before blinding the view completely.
Game ends
"Now that's how you end a good trilogy!" Leone cheered as she threw her hands up.
"I really want to the next game now." Tatsumi said as he was keen to play the next game.
That statement made Delta clear her throat. "Before we go onto that, it would be wise to looks at the other ones first."
"Other ones?" Sheele said.
"I think she means that we need to look at the time skip before the event to which Cortana and Chief arrived at the Forerunner Planet." Run answered.
" Affirmative Reclaimer, the audios are they, but there are still two more things I want to show you." Delta added.
"Two?" Everyone apart from Esdeath, Akame, Najenda, Susanoo and Bols said.
Susanoo went outside and went back in the Death Battle Room. "It's only the afternoon and we have a lot of time to watch the two that you said."
Najenda had something else to say. "And since we have not contract, we might as well watch the two."
"Alright then," Delta looked at her friend/pet Queue Fives. "Looks like we're going to be here for another day."
Queue Fives wasn't bothered with that. "It's fine Delta, it's just that I'm thinking about which on should we watch first?"
That sparked another spark within Delta. "Before we move on, I want to ask a question. Do you want to watch or play?"
Night Raid looked at each other and asked themselves what do what want to do next. Luckily, Tatsumi was the one who answered that. "I think we're all going on the watch."
"Yeah, we're going to have to learn more about your Universe Delta." Dorothea added.
"Well then," Delta muttered as she puts on the miniseries. "Prepare for some interesting stories."
Night Raid was keen on what they were going to watch. But for now, they're wondering on what Delta will show to them about her universe.
A/N: Holy shit, I managed to pull another chapter before the end of 2020, which I know we're all glad since it was the worst year, due to COVID. And with five games done. I'm going to be taking a break with walkthroughs and Focus on the Rookie of Night Raid because I really want to focus on story telling now and read a Halo book called Shadows of Reach in order to get my interested back in Halo. Oh, uh, here's the next one before I start my long break.
Coming on March 3rd 2021: Halo Legends
EDIT: OH, yeah, ALEXA PLAY CHANGE THE WORLD BY V6 (If you don't know Inuyasha, which I plan to watch in the future As the ending until I see you next time in June. Oh, by the way, I might change my mind on not writing Halo Legends, since it is big and I really need help on this story. So please, can anyone have the guts to do Halo Legends and I could post the chapters and obviously give credit to them. Hey, I cannot do this myself which means I really need help. To anyone who knows famous authors, please call them to help me. Because Halo's lore is huge and long.
If you're all confused as to what I said, I'm implying that the other authors could collaborate with me to write the other stories within Halo Legends. Hey, I'm also contributing by doing Origins part One and Two to be more fair.
