Abby's POV
I walked up to Putzie's front porch and knocked, to see Mr. Jacobs opening the door with a warm smile. "Hello Abby, how are you?" He asked.
"Hello Mr. Jacobs, I've been good." I answers. "Is Putzie's home?"
"Abby?" We looked to see Putzie coming downstairs.
"It's nice seeing you again." Mr. Jacobs said before going back to the kitchen.
Putzie came outside, shutting the door behind him.
"Are you ok?" He asked me.
I smiled at him.
"I'm fine, I just…I just wanna know if you're ok." I told him. "The guys said you didn't wanna go to prom…"
Putzie lets out a sigh.
"W-was it because me?" She asked.
"No Abby, I just…wanna do something for my folks and so I offer to babysit the girls when they go out on Saturday." He said.
"But Putzie, I don't want you to be here all alone." I said holding his hand. "Cause I know I can't have fun knowing you're not there."
He smiled warmly.
"Please?" I begged. "For me?"
"Alright, but I don't know how to tell my folks—" He started.
"It's ok dear, you can go!" We looked to see his parents and Pammy at the window. "Katelyn offers to babysit the girls!"
We chuckled at them and I turned to Putzie.
"Then I guess I'm going." He smiled.
"Yay!" I squealed, hugging him.
I felt him hug me back.
"I'd do anything for you." I heard him say.
I let him go smiling.
"You are the best friend a girl can ever have." I told him.
He looks down smiling.
"I know." He said.
I chuckled.
"Well I guess I better have to go shopping for a nice suit." He said.
"I still have my nice looking suit in my closet." We heard Mr. Jacobs called out.
We chuckled.
"I hope it's good looking." Putzie mutters to me.
I laughed.
"I'm sure it'll look even more good when you're wearing it." I told him.
I saw him smiled.
"You can ride with me, Danny, Sandy and Tom to the prom." I added.
"Kay." He smiled. "I'll uh…I'll see you later."
"Kay, bye Putzie." I waved.
"Bye Abby." He waved back before going inside.
I walked home smiling and happy that Putzie was finally going now!
