Early As Ever.
Olivia looked over at Mary who had just taken Noah out of his high chair and smirked "I can't believe there was a time where I hated you."Mary laughed "oh honey the feeling was mutual, I thought you wanted to take my son from me. Now look at you. This family has gained so much since you became a part of it, I got Thomas back, he got a girlfriend that he'll hopefully marry soon. You and Trevor gave me these two perfect little babies and that little guy is just two weeks away from meeting us all."
She sipped on her tea and smiled "I can't wait to meet him. I'm more than ready to see him, but right now I'm just enjoying what's left of my pregnancy."
Trevor came into the kitchen and smirked at the sight of his wife sitting on a bar stool "hey there beautiful."
Her face lit up at the sight of him "you're home early"
He stopped and pressed kisses to each toddlers cheeks, moving them from the ground and onto the kitchen island, before giving his mother a gentle peck on her cheek.
Mary chuckled when he pulled away and rushed over to his wife "you two see each other everyday but act like teenagers after being separated for a few hours."
Trevor chuckled before moving to Olivia and cupping her cheek "It's because I miss my wife from the minute I leave her side" he said before leaning down and pressing a deep kiss to her lips.
She kissed him back with the same passion and bit his bottom lip before pulling away "I missed you too baby"
He placed his hand on her bump, feeling a kick against his hand "looks like this little guy wants attention too. How you doing kiddo?"
Mary smirked "that little guy has been stressing us all out today."
"Why?" he straightened and sat down beside his wife, reaching for Noah.
Madison crawled toward her mother "momma was cwying. Baby made momma cwy"
He frowned "hormones?"
"momma said it's Bwaxton hicks" Noah pipped up, taking a cookie from the jar that stood on the island.
Mary let out a laugh, moving to the freezer to get a tub of ice cream, she handed it Olivia and smirked "these two smart mouthes helped me calm her down and they have been extremely well behaved ever since. You have this, and it'll ease the cravings"
Olivia took the ice-cream with a smile "thank you Mary, do you think you could pass me the pickles please?"
Mary nodded with a chuckle "pickles and ice-cream, that really is Trevor's baby, I finished nearly every jar of pickles his father bought and now I can't stomach them at all."
Trevor sighed "mom..."
She shrugged "what, it's just that you and your baby have so much in common already, he's going to be just like his da-" she stopped realising what she just said.
Olivia forced a smile "I love that they've got something in common. It's a good sign."
"I'm sorry, I didn't realise" she started.
Olivia waved her off "it's okay. I have to uhm... Use the bathroom, excuse me" she whispered before waddling out of the kitchen.
"Really mom!" Trevor exclaimed.
Mary reached for Madison and let out a breath "I'm sorry, I forgot about the situation. I just wanted to share a moment with her, now I've ruined it."
"Trev!" Olivia hollered from the stairs, a pained expression on her face.
Trevor sighed "it's okay mom, I'll speak to Liv and I'm sure she will be willing to over look it."
"No." she shook her head "I made this mess so I'll fix it. Sort those two babies out with lunch and I'll go check on Olivia." she gave him a small smile.
"okay but call me if you need me, for anything" he said before moving both toddlers back to their high chairs.
Maddison looked up at her father and frowned "dadda, when's baby coming?"
He shrugged "two more weeks princess, then we'll have our third little rascal filling this place up."
Noah shook his head "momma said baby is coming soon"
He laughed lightly "I highly doubt it champ."
...
Mary came upstairs and stopped when she saw Olivia crouched over by the bed with her hand on her back "hey, how are you feeling?"
She groaned "it hurts." she turned to Mary and let out a sigh "I don't think I'm going to carry him to term... These can't be braxton hicks, they're way too strong."
Mary moved over to her and helped her sit down on the bed "what are you feeling?"
"Pain!" she snapped, her eyes filling up with tears "it hurts so bad and I'm terrified because the closer I get to giving birth, the closer I am to finding out the truth. The thought of this not being Trevor's baby is driving me insane, and with my luck I know it won't work in my favour."
"hey, calm down... This baby has so much of Trevor already. I'm sure that when we get to that delivery room, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find out that the little boy you're carrying belongs to the man you love." she whispered, gently rubbing Olivia's back.
She sobbed softly "the baby is thrashing, and I'm going insane. I need to know, now."
"What are you saying?" she asked, staring at her in concern.
"I'm saying that I need to get the test done today. I can't go on like this, the stress is going to kill me." she sighed.
"when do you want to go in?"
She shrugged, letting out a pain filled groan "today, I called my doctor and they said I could come in today if we wanted."
She nodded "okay and you're sure you want to do this?"
"yes. I need to know, it's driving me insane. I've been trying my best to keep it together but I've been falling apart since I remembered everything." she let out a sob "I feel like I failed Trevor and you when I let this whole mess happen."
"You didn't fail anybody, what happened wasn't your fault. We both love you and we know you must have done everything you could to get out of that situation. The only person we're mad at is the bastard that hurt you like that, he doesn't even deserve a second of your time. He doesn't deserve to be a part of your babies life and he won't be because that little guy in there is Trevor's. If the test is the only thing that will give you peace then I'll stand by your decision to get it done as soon as possible."
...
After their talk both women went downstairs and spoke to Trevor about getting the test done. He agreed that she get the test done if it would help ease some of her stress, the last thing he wanted was to piss her off so close to her due date.
They got the twins settled with Mary and Alex came by to help with them before heading for the hospital. They were instantly set up in a private room where the test would be done once the doctor was ready.
Trevor took hold of Olivia's hand "are you ready for this?"
She closed her eyes and shook her head "I'm terrified... But I need to know, I'm going to lose my mind with the constant what if's."
He pressed a gentle kiss to her lips "I love you"
"I love you too" she whispered, pulling him back for another kiss.
"Mrs Langan, is the other party coming in?" a doctor asked as he made his way into the room.
She shook her head "unfortunately not... He's in Oregon and we don't want him here or anywhere close to my baby."
Trevor ran his hand gently over her bump "we just want to confirm that it's mine"
The doctor nodded "I applaud you for your dedication to your wife. Usually the husbands are hostile in situations like these but you've been nothing but supportive since you two arrived here."
Olivia scoffed "I didn't cheat on my husband if that's what you're thinking... I was assaulted"
"I'm so sorry" he uttered, feeling horrible for implying that she had an affair "I had no idea, I really do apologise."
She waved him off "it's okay... Can we do the test though? I'm kind of nervous and this waiting isn't helping at all."
He nodded "sure, I'll get a nurse to check that you're all cleared while I take Mr Langan for his dna sample, and once I get back, if you're okay to go then we'll do the test on the little one."
Trevor stood up before pressing a kiss to Olivia's forehead "I'll be right back, I love you."
She gave him a nervous smile "I love you too babe."
...
The doctor returned after taking Trevor's dna and sighed when he looked at the nurses notes. He knew Olivia was not going to like what he had to tell her "Mrs Langan, you're due in two weeks right?"
She nodded "yes, does this affect the possibility of getting the test done?"
"Usually no... But in your case we're not going to be able to do the test" he smirked.
"Why not?" she frowned "you gave your okay on it and approved already."
"Because you're three centimetres dilated. Your baby is going to come soon, and we can't be doing such risky tests while you're in labour." he explained with a smile.
Olivia swallow hard, her eyes instantly filling with tears "but it's too early."
Trevor took hold of her hand and kissed the back of it "you'll be okay babe, I'm right here with you."
She shook her head "Trevor it's too early... He's only due in two weeks time." she could feel a panic attack coming on.
The doctor noticed and sighed "Mrs Langan I'm going to need you to remain calm. We don't want any complications with this little guy okay, he may be a bit early but he will be completely fine if you remain calm."
"I'm not ready..." she let out a whimper "this can't be happening now..."
Trevor wiped her tears away and gave her a small smile "just breathe, beautiful. He is going to be okay and so are you, both of you will be fine and I'll be right here with you, the whole way through."
She looked over at Trevor and let out a soft whimper "Trev I'm not ready..."
"I'll give you two a minute, we'll be back to prepare you for delivery in a few minutes and will check up on you." the doctor said before walking out of the room.
Trevor turned to her and took hold of both of her hands, kissing the back of them gently "honey, you're going to be okay. This little guy is a fighter, he's ready to see the world and meet his momma and dad face to face, if anybody can do this it's you."
A worried look covered her features "what if he looks like Aiden?"
"Liv have you seen the twins? Those two are the splitting image of you. You've got some strong genes and I'm sure this little guy is going to look like you too. So stop stressing and focus on getting him here safely, we will figure everything else out once he's here." he spoke gently trying to calm her down.
They spent hours in the room and let the family know that Olivia was being kept in hospital due to her being in labour. Olivia's water broke around the late afternoon and she was in excruciating pain with her contractions which had started to come after each other. The doctor and nurses checked up on her after every hour, seeing whether she was fully dilated or not, while Trevor did his best to keep her mind at ease.
Mary had popped in with the twins but quickly left when Olivia started screaming out in pain which scared both toddlers. She headed home with them and promised to come back the next morning in the hopes that the delivery would be over.
Olivia had been given medication for the pain but nothing really helped her, she had been sobbing for hours due to pain and her blood pressure had skyrocketed by the time they reached midnight. Trevor was at a loss, he had no idea what to do and he hated seeing his wife suffering like this, she's been going through it for hours and there was still no sign of her dilating any further.
The doctor did another check on her and shook his head "right Mrs Langan you have been at eight centimetres for the last few hours, now I've done a check and it looks like you're have failure to progress."
Trevor held Olivia's hand as she cried into his chest and listened to the doctor "so what does that mean for us? Can you deliver the baby?"
He sighed "we can, but we're may have to perform a cesarean section... We gave your wife some Oxytocin and it should have helped the uterus to contract. But right now we can't wait anymore, the stress this is causing for both your wife and baby is unhealthy. So I have nurses prepping the OR and then we'll come back in twenty minutes to get Olivia ready."
Olivia let out a groan "Trev I can't do this anymore"
"hey, don't say that, you've got this. You're strong babe and I'm right here with you." he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
She whimpered softly "how much longer is this going to last?
"Just a few more minutes and the doctor will give you something to ease the pain" he assured her, pressing another kiss to her forehead.
...
Olivia had been taken to the OR a few minutes later and was immediately prepped for surgery, Trevor was seated by her head, holding her hand. Olivia had been given a nerve block so she couldn't feel anything and was grateful that she had Trevor right there with her.
He kept whispering words of encouragement to her and after twenty minutes the doctor called Trevor to cut the cord. Loud cries filled the room as soon as Trevor took hold of the baby and brought him over to Olivia.
She felt her eyes fill with tears as she looked at him "he's beautiful"
Trevor pressed a kiss to her forehead "he's so big." he wiped her tears "you did great babe."
A nurse came over to the pair and smiled "I hate to break you up but we have to do a check on him mommy, I'll have him back in fifteen minutes."
Olivia watched as she took the baby and sniffled softly "I miss him already."
"What do you want his name to be?" he asked after giving her a chaste kiss.
She smiled weakly "Matthew Skye Langan." she said before closing her eyes "I feel so tired..."
Trevor noticed the weak look on her face and frowned "I think something's wrong with her!"
The doctor who was just about to start closing the incision, looked down at her and sighed "she's bleeding. Shit! Mr Langan I'm going to need you to leave the room now!"
"But-" Trevor started.
"Now! Your wife needs surgery immediately." he cut Trevor off.
