A nurse led Trevor to a separate room and gave him a small smile "I'll bring your son after he is cleared, the check up may take up to thirty minutes and your wife will be brought here after surgery."

"Thank you" he whispered, watching her walk out.

He paced the room for a few minutes before sitting on the edge if the bed and breaking down into sobs, he was terrified knowing that there was a possibility that he could be losing his wife.

Mary walked into the room with Cragen trailing behind her and frowned when she saw her son alone in the room and crying. She walked up to him, placing the baby bag he asked her to bring along on the bed. She grabbed hold of his hands, feeling herself get emotional at the possible meaning behind the empty room.

"Trev, where is Olivia?" she asked softly, her voice breaking.

Cragen stood quietly in the room, feeling his tears make their decent, he could not face losing her again. Not after they just got her back, not when she finally had the family she always dreamed of. Not while her two toddlers were at the precinct with Fin and Alex, waiting eagerly to come see their mother later.

Trevor shook his head, trying his best to get the words out "she was bleeding and..."

Mary sobbed out "oh my baby, I'm so sorry."

She pulled her son into her arms and allowed him to cry for as long as he needed. No words were spoken, no messages were sent out and no calls were made, the three of them simply stayed in the room crying.

The doctor came into the room after two hours and sighed at the sight of Trevor's red rimmed eyes and heart broken expression. He let out a breath "Mr Langan."

He looked at the doctor and sighed heavily "Please tell me she's alive"

He nodded "she is. We'll be bringing her here in the next five minutes."

"What happened in there? She was fine one minute and the next she was gone" he said, a tear escaping his eye.

Mary and Cragen had left twenty minutes before the doctor came and were both unaware whether Olivia was alive or not. They would be waiting for Trevor's call which he promised to give them once he knew what was happening.

The doctor shrugged "your wife hemorrhaged... She lost a lot of blood which led to us having to perform a complete hysterectomy."

"So she will be okay?" the doctor nodded.

"I'll break the news to her when she's ready..."

"We'll bring her in for recovery. She should wake up within the next hour or two."

He nodded "okay, where is my son?"

"He's right here Mr Langan and he's quite fussy" a nurse said as she came into the room with the crying baby boy.

Trevor took hold of the tot and smiled "hey there kiddo, you're the splitting image of your mother."

The baby boy looked up at the sound of Trevor's voice and calmed down extensively which caused the nurse to laugh "he definitely recognises his dad's voice."

Trevor gave her a small smile while dressing the baby boy in the little blue crawler his mother had brought and covered him in his little blanket "I've been speaking him since we found out about him."

"Is this your first?" she asked while prepping to swab Trevor for the paternity test that had to be done before Olivia went into labour.

He shook his head, gently rocking the baby to sleep "No, this is our third. We twins who are a little over a year old."

"Wow congratulations on the addition. I'm sure they're excited to see their baby brother" she said with a laugh, moving over to swab him.

Trevor sat silently as she swabbed him and listened as the baby slept peacefully in his arms, he gave the nurse a smile once she removed the swab "so how long will these results take?"

She secured the swab before getting one for the baby and shrugged "it should take a day or two for us to get results from the lab."

He nodded, moving the blanket so she could swab the sleeping baby.

Trevor's face lit up when they wheeled Olivia into the room and set up her up on a drip, she looked weak and fragile but he was glad that she was alive.

The nurse finished up with Matthew before leaving the room to get the results to the lab as the doctor had ordered her to do.

Trevor sat down beside the hospital bed Olivia was in and smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead "you scared the crap out of me woman. I love you so much Olivia, so I need you to get better okay? You have to heal for me and for our kids, all three of them need you."

He sat back and dialed his mothers number, letting her know that Olivia was okay, a smile tugging at his lips when he heard the relief in her voice.

He smirked "Mom let Captain Cragen know please because I know he's stressed out of his mind. I have to go now, Olivia is waking up."

Mary smiled at that "Okay son, take care of her and that little boy. I'll bring the twins by later once she's more settled in."

Trevor nodded "Okay thanks mom, tell those two munchkins that I love them. Bye"

Olivia groaned softly, opening her eyes and looking around "Trev?" she croaked out.

He smiled down at her, gently shifting the sleeping tot in his arms "hi there beautiful, how are you feeling?"

A small smile tugged at her lips "my body hurts, feels like I've been hit by a truck. How's Matthew?"

"He is doing great baby, in fact he's been sleeping since they brought him to me. You wanna hold him?" he asked while gently moving the baby into her arms.

A massive smile spread on her lips "I thought I would never see him again. What happened in there?"

He pressed a kiss to her forehead "you hemorrhaged and they had to perform surgery to stop the bleeding... You were given a blood transfusion also."

She nodded "Okay... So now we can focus on healing, and maybe when this little guy is old enough we could have another one, a girl maybe?"

He looked down at the baby in her arms and swallowed loudly knowing the news could break her. She looked so excited at the thought of having more kids and he knew she always wanted a big family so this would have the power to crush her.

She saw the look on his face and frowned "Trevor, what's wrong?" she narrowed her eyes at him "and don't you dare say it's nothing."

"You won't be able to have more babies... They had to perform a complete hysterectomy to save your life. I'm so sorry babe" he whispered.

She swallowed loudly and pursed her lips "so this is our last... I'm sorry"

He gently caressed her cheek "you have nothing to be sorry for Liv" he wiped her tears and gave her a gentle kiss "you've been so strong through all of this honey. I'm just so glad that you're here, that you'll be by my side watching all three of our kids grow up."

She nodded, before looking down at the baby who started to make soft cooing noises "he's so adorable and so well behaved."

He ran his finger over the little boys cheek and smiled "he looks so much like you. I love him so much, thank you for bringing him into the world safely baby, for protecting him throughout these last few months."

A smile tugged at her lips "I love him too. I was certain that when I saw him I'd feel nothing but hatred for him, that I'd be a horrible mother to him. But I love him so much and all I want to do is protect him, I don't care about anything else."

"Well by tomorrow we should be getting the results which will then confirm what I already know" he smirked "this is my little boy, no matter what."

"I love you so much Trevor" she whispered.

He leaned close to her and smiled "I love you too Olivia" he pressed a deep kiss to her lips.

...

"Good morning Mrs Langan, how are you feeling today?" A nurse asked as she walked into Olivia's room with her pain medication.

Olivia smiled "I am doing good, much better now that these two are also here." she smiled down at the twins who were walking around the room and making a mess "I missed them, even though they're messy."

The nurse giggled "they are absolutely adorable."

She looked over at Trevor who was holding Matthew "thank you"

"So I've got news for you. The lab are sending the results through and then Doctor Walton will be bringing them to you in the next half hour." she said with a smile.

Matthew let out a frustrated grunt and began crying for his mother instantly, Trevor looked down at the baby and chuckled "somebody is nervous."

"He's not the only one" Olivia whispered, allowing Trevor to place the baby in her arms.

The nurse gave her the medication before smiling down at the baby in her arms "you'll be okay, he's a sweet baby and those results will come out in your favour."

Trevor gave her a warm smile "thank you Bianca."

She nodded "no problem Mr Langan, you just take care of these four now until those results come through. I'll be back in the next two hours to do a check on Matthew." she said before leaving the room.

Noah looked up at his father and smirked "dadda up"

Trevor leaned down and scooped him up, before reaching for Madison as well.

She shook her head "no dadda, me walk"

He chuckled "Okay princess." he turned to Noah who was reaching for something behind him "what do you want champ?"

He pointed at the bag of Cheetos Puffs that were in the baby bag "me have pwease?"

He smirked "so that's why you wanted to be picked up. You're sneaky."

Olivia smirked "honey, why are you surprised by him wanting snacks? You're the one who fed him tons of treats as soon as he was old enough to eat."

"Because he liked them... He was too cute for me to say no" he defended with a laugh.

She laughed lightly, before groaning "laughing hurts so bad."

"I'm sorry babe" he said with a worried look on his face.

She waved him off "it's okay, now give Noah the Cheetos before he throws a tantrum, I'm not in the mood for crying babies right now."

He placed Noah on her bed and opened the bag of Cheetos, handing him two "Maddy do you want some Cheetos?"

She looked up from the toy she had in her hand and nodded "yes pwease dadda"

He placed her beside Noah and handed her two as well, keeping an eye on them as he kept handing them more.

Olivia looked down at the baby who had finished nursing and moved him so that she could burp him. She gently patted his back, smiling when she saw Mary and Alex walk in.

Alex smirked "hey there pretty momma."

"Hey Al, where have you been?" she smiled.

Alex shrugged while ruffling Noah's hair and pressing a kiss to Madison's forehead "I've been working, but I heard this little guy caused quite a stir. What's his name?"

Trevor leaned down and pressed a kiss to the little boy's head "Matthew Skye Langan"

The baby looked up at the sound of Trevor's voice and instantly let out a soft whimper.

"What's with the tears little guy?" Trevor asked as he took the crying baby out of his wife's arms.

Olivia watched him gently rock the baby and smiled when his cries subsided "he knows your voice... He's a daddy's boy already"

Mary chuckled "its because someone spent hours talking to your bump, even when you were unconscious in the hospital. He spent hours sitting and talking to you and this little guy."

"I hope he's yours, you're the best dad any kid could ask for" Olivia said with a wide smile "and he loves you already, he knows you."

Trevor was about to respond but stopped when he saw Doctor Walton walking into the room, he let out a soft chuckle when he saw Maddy and Noah frown at the sight of the doctor and crawl into their mother's arms.

Olivia let out a soft laugh as she carefully held both toddlers close, being careful that they didn't get anywhere near her scar.

Noah looked up at his mother and frowned "is doctor pwick me?"

"No sweet boy, the doctor is here to speak to mommy and daddy. He won't prick anybody" she assured the little boy, and smirked when she saw the look of relief that washed over his face.

Doctor Walton chuckled as he listened to the toddler "that's a smart kid you've got their Mrs Langan"

Trevor laughed "Yeah and he's got a smart mouth too."

"Both of them do" Alex added with a laugh.

He smirked "Well I'm sure you both know why I'm here, so I need to ask are you ready to hear the results? Would you like me to give you some privacy as you read them? Would you prefer that I read them on your behalf? If yes, are you okay with me doing so infront of your company or would you prefer some privacy?"

Trevor turned to his wife "it's up to you babe"

She shrugged "I'd prefer that you read it, and I don't mind if you do it infront of everyone here."

Doctor Walton nodded before opening the envelope in his hand, he scanned over the results and stayed silent for a while, before looking up at the anxious couple.

"Well?" Olivia asked, a terrified look on her face.

Trevor placed his hand on her shoulder "whatever the outcome is, I'm always going to be here for him and love him just like I love these two."

"Well that's great to hear" Doctor Walton said with a smile "because I'd be terribly disappointed in you if you didn't love your son Mr Langan."

Olivia gasped "Your son? Does that mean-" she let out a soft sob.

Doctor Walton nodded "Congratulations Mr Langan, you're the father."

Trevor let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding and smiled widely before leaning down and giving Olivia a deep kiss, only breaking away when air was necessary.

"Our son" he whispered, a massive smile on his face "I love you so much Livia, you and these three mean the world to me."

"I love you too Trevor Langan" she cupped his cheek and smiled "I love you and our babies so much. I'm so happy, I don't care about anything else, I don't care about the hysterectomy, because we've got out our three little angels right here already."

He moved her hair behind her ear and gave her another kiss "You're amazing."

She smiled against his lips "also when I'm healed, can we go home. I miss our home and the peace we had."

He pressed a kiss to her forehead "we sure can babe."
