Once again, thank you for all of the reviews and favorites on this story. I really appreciate it and I'm glad that you're all enjoying it. The next few chapters are some of my favorites so I hope you enjoy them too.

ALSO, I made a playlist dedicated to Inuyasha and Kagome. The list of songs can be found in my bio. They're all songs that I think fit them perfectly. You can listen to them while you're reading.

October 25

We had a very unexpected visitor this evening.

Inuyasha and I were making dinner when there was a knock on the door.

"I wonder who that could be," I said.

Inuyasha went to answer the door but as soon as he saw that it was Koga there, he immediately slammed the door shut.

"Inuyasha!" I scolded. I went over to the door and opened it myself while Inuyasha stood there with his arms crossed.

"Thanks, Kagome," Koga said. "You're a lot nicer than the dog."

"You've got a lot of nerve coming to my house talking like that!" Inuyasha said. "You'd better have a really good reason for coming here!"

"Actually, I do." Koga looked annoyed and even a bit embarrassed as he said it.

"Come inside and tell us what's going on," I said. I closed the door and we all sat around the fire for Koga to tell his story.

"There have been giant lizard demons attacking my wolf tribe. Apparently, they've developed a taste for wolves somewhere. We've been trying out best to fight them but they're very strong and aggressive. Too many of our wolves have died and we can't let this go on any longer." Koga crossed his arms and looked into the fire. "I've come to ask for your help, Inuyasha."

"No," Inuyasha replied.

"Why not?!"

"What do I care if the wolf tribe is attacked by demons? The less smelly wolves in the world, the better."

"Oh come on, Inuyasha," I said. "I think we should go help them."

"Keh! No thanks! What has the wolf tribe ever done for me anyway?"

"Don't you think they'd have to really be in trouble for Koga to come asking for help though?"

"I didn't come all the way here because I wanted to, mutt," Koga said. "If I had my way, I'd take care of it on my own. But the rest of the tribe insisted that I come to get you. 'Inuyasha has that powerful sword,' they said. 'Inuyasha defeated Naraku, he can defeat anything.' So it's not me that really wants you to come, I'm just the messenger."

Inuyasha seemed to consider that. "Well…"

"I still think we should go," I said to him.

Inuyasha sighed. "Alright, fine! I'll go and defend your stupid wolf tribe. But don't expect me to enjoy it or anything."

I gave Inuyasha a hug. "You're the best." He just snorted in response. Koga glared and looked in another direction. I guess if we were going on a mission together, I couldn't expect civility from them. "Koga, we were just making dinner. How about you stay the night and then we can head out first thing in the morning?"

"Kagome…!" Inuyasha protested. I knew he wouldn't like me asking Koga to stay the night but it was already late and I wasn't going to make Koga sleep outside tonight.

Koga held my hand. "You're incredibly gracious, Kagome. I'd love to stay the night."

Inuyasha pushed his hand away. "Don't get too comfortable, wolf! If you touch her again, you're sleeping in the woods!"

Koga is sleeping in our living room now. Inuyasha is laying in bed waiting for me to finish writing. He's still mad about the whole thing but he'll get over it. With the way these two are I can already tell this is going to be an interesting trip.

I'm going to go cuddle with Inuyasha and try to distract him. Hopefully Koga doesn't hear us. I can't imagine how awkward that conversation would be in the morning…
