Chapter 62: Nightmare
Wade Wilson lifted his mask and took a sip of his coffee.
"And then, they decided to remove the mouth. It's one of my best features! I don't know what the hell they were thinking."
Deadpool looked over; the hero Genos was snoring lightly in a chair.
They seemed to pick up the short straws and got tagged to keep an eye on the HUB overnight. If anyone came in or anything happened with the HUB, they were to alert the others if needed.
"Can't they just have Scout alert us?" Wade said out loud, looking at the computer tower.
The screen on the tower just read Sleep Mode.
Wade blinked, "Are they still fixing you? I thought you were up and ready to go. I guess that's why they insisted on someone to stay up." Wade looked back at the sleeping Genos, "I guess someone should be."
Wade stretched and cracked his neck; he finished his drink and fixed his mask. "Don't worry, Cyborg Buddy. I won't tell anyone you were asleep at the wheel. Just cover for me long enough to get some coffee. My brain feels all - twisted - I guess I shouldn't have skipped that afternoon nap."
He got up from his chair and made his way to the kitchen.

Illyana Rasputin
A small girl ran, the air hurt her lungs, and everything around her was on fire. She'd been running for so long. She couldn't stop running; they were after her.
She tumbled to the ground. No, something grabbed her and pulled her to the ground. A thing pale man held her down. It opened its mouth wide, revealing sharp jagged teeth. It hissed at her, its eyeless face burned into her mind.
From out of the world around her dozen more of these men came over.
She screamed and kicked as hard as she could. They held her down as they laughed at her misery.

Wade continued down the halls with an empty mug humming to himself.
He did pause as he saw something on the couch. He saw Scarlett and Alexis asleep on the couch together. Wade noticed the TV was looking for a signal; he figured they had fallen asleep watching a movie.
Nearby was the little monkey and platypus with their face screens flashing a sleep mode sign.
Wade ran to a nearby room and pulled a blanket to throw onto them.
"Sleep tight, guys."
He walked away to continue on his journey for a drink

Alexis and Scarlett
It was going to be a good day. Every few months, they tried to have a day like this. They gathered up food and sit down in front of the couch and watch movies. They had an odd life; they had been through enough horrors to shake most people. They had gotten enough scars, so taking a day to enjoy the simple pleasure and relax seemed more than fair.
So they were starting by going to their favorite dinner and ordering a mess of breakfast food.
Scarlett and Alexis sat down and sighed.
Scarlett sighed, "Okay, you get to pick first."
A young woman that looked to be about their age stood up before them, putting a disc into the TV. She had a kind smiled and long light brown hair; her hazel-colored eyes glimmered with a playfulness.
"Today, we start with a classic horror film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
Alexis rubbed his temples; he could never figure out how the most light-hearted one of them could adore horror films, especially gory ones. It might have had to do with her time working with reapers. I doubted it but maybe.
Alexis opened up the styrofoam contained filled with bacon.
"Hey!" Beatrice pulled it away, "Don't try to eat the whole plate again. You'll make yourself sick."
"She's right," Scarlett shrugged.
Beatrice sat beside them and started serving up eggs for herself. Honestly, Beatrice was the one who had the most sense. Beatrice found herself keeping the two with little to no self-control from doing anything too stupid. Though in truth, she felt she needed them as much as they needed her.
Alexis wrapped a piece of bacon around a sausage and paused, screaming in pain. His head suddenly felt like it was cracking apart.
"Something is wrong! Something wrong!" He found himself repeating over and over again.
They heard screaming and cars crashing nearby.
Beatrice and Scarlett held Alexis as he panicked.
Beatrice held Alexis, "Alexis, look at me; what's wrong?"
His eyes went wide, "You?"
Beatrice was startled as her body began to dissolve into dust. She was accustomed to death, far more than most people. She wasn't sure what was happening, but she had a good idea of what would happen next.
Beatrice pulled Alexis and Scarlett into a hug and smiled, "I love you two, I love you so much. Don't worry, don't panic, don't do anything stupid. I love you."
They had good lives together; the dangers and the horrors were always second to the fun and joy they shared. Knowing that she was happy, she just wished she could have stayed with them a bit longer.
With that, she was gone.
"Life! Death!"
On their adventures, they had made friends. The room they were in had vanished, replaced by a black void. They saw a woman on the floor, her skin pale, wearing a dark dress.
"Death?" Scarlett called out.
Nearby was a large snake with shimmering scales of every color.
"Life?" Alexis said in a hushed tone.
Neither being seemed conscious.
"They're not okay." A small voice broke the silence.
There was a small child with thick rings around his eyes; his entire body glitched out.
"Veri?" Alexis ran to the boy's side.
Veri was the embodiment of reality, and he seemed hurt.
"What happened?" Scarlett asked.
"We were hurt, badly," Veri shuddered. "something overruled us, our powers."
"What in the universe can do that?" Alexis asked.
"Nothing, it was something from another universe. It affecting everything," Veri closed his eyes as he went unconscious like the other.
These three were amongst the most powerful beings in the universe, and something just took them out at once. If they had any hope of finding Beatrice, saving her, brings her back, they would need to find it.
In the next few hours, they would see the full extent of the damage done to the universe.

Outside of Avenger Compound, six figured waited. They parked a van a mile away and walked there.
Hiro held out six small robots and activated them; they quickly passed the gates and moved towards the building.
"Baymax," Hiro spoke up, "let us know the instant security is down. In the meantime, get the front gate open."
Baymax had his hologram up and just nodded; he moved over to the keypad interfacing with it and overriding it.
Hiro was still uncertain about all this; they had to go into the Avenger Compound to investigate those strange readings.
Behind were Agent Honey Lemon readying her bag in case people woke up.
Behind her was Leiko Tanaka, also known as Gogo Tomago. GoGo from a young age in a motorcycle gang that ended in involvement with the Yakuza. She was arrested and was looking at a very long time in jail. She got out with a deal with the Japanese Ministry of Defense. Her incredible reflexes made her the perfect test pilot for an Exo suit they had been developing.
GoGo was an athletic teenage girl about Honey Lemon's age, wearing a black bodysuit and gold exo-armor. She adjusted the visor as she prepared for the mission.
The Japanese Government had agreed to release her from prison if she joined them; in fact, she and Honey Lemon had gone on many missions together.
That was about it for much experience missions.
Next up was a man was going by Wasabi-No-Ginger; he wore a headband on his head and wore simple clothing, nothing remarkable except the Hawaiian shirt. He had a darker complexion and a stoic impression. A katana sat on his hip, ready to be used. Hiro was still unsure why he kept a sword; his ability to manifest swords out Qi-energy.
Then there was Fred; Hiro didn't know much about Fred as he joined last minute. Fred was a thin, slim man in his late teen or early twenties. He had long hair and wore a beanie; otherwise, he looked like a typical slacker. He was Japanese like the rest of them but much paler; he was descended from the Ainu. The Ainu were descended from the Japanese and Russians. He met them at the airport and drove them there.
Hiro wasn't sure if he was a Japanese agent or not, but he might be a perfect spy. No one would think he might be a Japanese spy.
"Security is down," Baymax alerted them.
Hiro looked over, "Really? I would have thought Stark Security would have taken longer."
Honey Lemon smiled, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. GoGo, do your thing."
GoGo rushed forwards at incredible speeds, checking the front entrance was clear before they continued. She motioned for them to come over.
They started to walk forwards; ideally, they wouldn't run into anyone, but they might very well need to fight the Avengers if they did. He needed to see what they were doing, but the rest of the team was given an order to make sure Hiro escaped, but that was easier said than done. As much as Hiro would love to meet Tony Stark, he hoped they didn't meet anyone. Hopefully, everyone was deep asleep.

"Who didn't change the filter?!" Wade yelled out, "Seriously, how wasn't this didn't set off the Civil War." Wade started to clean up and throw away the filter. "Hey FRIDAY, where do they keep the filters? FRIDAY? Siri?"
Wade expected a reply, but the computer voice didn't respond, "Nothing? Really? Even the machines are asleep while I'm up. Maybe we got come coffee, Ice Cream, or something."
Wade looked through the fridge, "Ooooh~! Hunka Hunka Burning Hulk! Score!"
Wade looked for a spoon to eat up his prize.
0000
Missy
Her past-self shot her in the back. Honestly, she should have seen it coming. She betrayed him, and he was a snake waiting to bite.
She was dying, and her whole body screamed in pain. Her younger-self was a bastard; his final attack was made to kill her in a way that wouldn't allow her to regenerate. Missy dragged herself across the ground; she could hear an explosion the battle was starting in the distance.
She needed to go to the Doctor; she didn't want him to be alone against the cybermen.
Maybe she just didn't want to die alone.
The Cybermen would be there soon. She didn't have time.
The ground beneath her shook violently as explosions ripped the forest. She couldn't even scream, and flames rushed towards her.
She felt the flames heat and knew she was going to die alone.
Maybe, in the end, she deserved to be alone.
0000
Wade finished the ice cream and started to walk back when he felt something under his foot. Looking down, he found a long tail.
"Cat!" He jumped off quickly, "Sorry, kitty! Oh god! PETA is going to be on my ass! Please be okay." He leaned down and notice the creature didn't move or anything. "Ah, cat-lemur thing."
Picking it up, he found it was Momo, and though not making pained noise as one would expect, the lemur was deep asleep. "Okay, that's odd. Please don't be dead. Better find your people."
Wade went to find Katara or Aang.
0000
Genos
The village was gone; nothing would change that, and there was no denying it. It slaughtered every man, woman, and child; they lay dead as what remained of the village burned.
Almost all of them, one fifteen-year-old boy, his body broken beyond repair, breathing hard.
His entire body ached as he struggled to live. All around him were the remains of his family.
He could barely see it from the corner of his eye; the cyborg that killed everyone stood nearby rampaging.
The monster that took away his life still lived.
0000
Genos winced in his sleep, to the point that he sleeps off his chair and fell to the floor. He still didn't wake up from that.
Scout was off; he couldn't alert anyone or anything, but the HUB ran on a separate system from everything else; it even had its own power source built-in. On the control, panel screen flashed the words: Incoming Traveler.
One of the gates lit up with a shimmering wall of light. A moment later, someone walked out of the portal.
0000
Katara
Katara watched as the Fire Nation Soldier stood above her kneeling mother.
"Mom, I'm scared."
"Go find your dad, sweetie. I'll handle this."
Katara was just a small girl, trembling at the sight of the enemy soldier. She trusted her mother's words and turned around and ran outside to where the falling snow had turned black.
The back of her throat tasted like bile.
As she ran, something inside her screamed to turn back, do anything to help her mother.
Because that would be the last, she'd see her mother alive.
0000
Aang
Aang collapsed in front of the skeleton. His throat was going dry; shame, fear, regret, long since moved past, came boiling back.
Gyatso was dead, and he was looking at his remains. All around him were the remains of people who knew and lived with. They had all been killed because he wasn't there to protect them. He ran away because he was scared, but if he stayed, they could have lived.
The weight of all of it struck him, and he felt the hot tears well in his eyes.
0000
Wade was worried; he checked in on Aang to give him Momo. Aang hadn't locked the door, probably not used to the electronic handles they put in. Wade walked in and found that Aang was asleep, fast and deeply asleep, so much so that he couldn't wake him. He checked on Katara to see if this was a common thing but found her in just as deep sleep.
He left Momo in her bed and closed the door.
"What the hell is going on?" He paced back and forth, "Okay, your being nuts, Wade. Just let it go. Okay, one, they're going to be angry, waking them up so late. Eeny, meeny, miny moe,"
Wade went over to the door he picked, Kim's door, and knocked on it. "Hey, wake up call. Please get up things are getting weird!"
0000
Kim Possible-Stoppable
Everything was perfect; it was a lazy Sunday, they had an excellent breakfast, and the twins were fast asleep in their arms. They were curled up on the couch together; their babies fast asleep in their arms.
Everything was peaceful and serene.
Then Anne squirmed in her arms and started to fuss.
"Annie? Is something wrong?"
Annie cried out and looked up right into Kim's eyes, then the baby just dissolved in her arms. Kim jolted up, dropping the blanket and the dust.
"Annie! Ron! Something happened to Annie!"
"Kim… I think something…"
Kim could only watch as her husband and their baby Dawn dissolved in front of her.
0000
Wade ended up breaking into Kim's room to find her asleep.
"The mole rat is even asleep! Come on; someones got to be awake. This has to be some magic business. Come one, magic girls, be awake for this!"
At that point, Wade wasn't waiting for anyone to answer. He kicked open Gwen's door. "Hey, be awake!"
He found Gwen and Charmcaster in bed next to one another; all around them seem to be notes on magic. Mostly notes about magic from other universes; they must have worked on them when they fell asleep.
"Please tell me this is a spell gone wrong."
He looked through notes, nothing about sleeping spells, just general stuff on how magic worked.
0000
Charmcaster/Hope
The young Hope was in her uncle's arms as they ran. Addawaitya had sent his pets to attack them, and they tried to fight back. Now, as they tried to escape, Addawaitya showed up himself. He had already killed most of their people.
Spellbinder looked at his daughter and kissed her on the forehead. "I love you, be a good girl and listen to your uncle. I'll be right behind you; just keep your eyes close."
"Daddy."
"Go."
Her uncle looked at his brother one last time and carried Hope with him as he ran.
Spellbinder held out his hands and created a magical shield as purple flames rushed to them.
Hope clung to her uncle; she was terrified in the last day; she'd seen more dead bodies than any child should. The rebellion was little more than a handful of people, and it didn't look like most would make the trip to the gate.
"Are we leaving, daddy?" Hope asked.
"I promise we will come back. We will get stronger and help defeat Addawaitya once and for all. Just don't look back."
She didn't listen to her uncle; as they ran, the flames shattered the shield and rushed past her father, burning the others trying to escape.
Her father's scream echoed in her mind as the sky was filled with the smell of burning bodies.
0000
Doctor
Her eyes were filled with tears.
"We undid this. It didn't happen; we changed it…we… did it."
She stood on Gallifrey, her homeworld as a burned, as she made it burn.
She couldn't move as she watched whole families trying to escape the flames.
The fear and pain she thought she managed to push past and all comeback.
"2.47 Billion."
Those were just the children that died because of her. She never dared to count how many in total died because she chooses to end the war. All because she couldn't see another way.
0000
Bruce/Hulk
"You killed her," A broken Ross laid on the floor looking up in horror.
Bett's broken body dangled in the Hulk's large arms.
"B-Betty?"
0000
Finral Roulacase
Finral was on a battlefield, a place he hated to visit. This one turned his stomach; he didn't like fighting; it was one reason he didn't mind being the Black Bull's method of travel; he didn't have to fight. Still, if he had to, he would fight. He proved it to himself in the underwater temple.
But this battle was one he'd give anything not to have to fight.
Langrish, his little brother, stood before him, with a look in his eyes that didn't seem like Langrish. He fought to kill him. The magics clashed and canceled each other out, but the truth was his little brother was stronger and better.
He felt his side rip open. Finral fell to the ground as his brother stood over him, ready to fire his spatial magic to tear him apart.
0000
Thor
Thor sat on the floor as the dead bodies of his mother, father, warriors three, Heimdall, and people, Asgard laid around him.
"I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again."
Thanos appeared behind him and wrapped his hands around his neck, snapping it.
Thor screamed out at trying to stop it, but he felt something grabbing him. The dead had risen, pulling them down towards him.
Thanos watched him sink slowly.
Why did you let this happened?
Why didn't you save us?
Why Thor?
The dead whispered to him, and they continued to drag him down.
0000
Tony Stark
A portal high above them to open the sky as leviathan flew out one after another. The world around them was dead.
His friends were around them, dead as the rest of the world.
"Mister Stark?" Peter tumbled towards him, desperately trying to stay on his feet.
"Peter?" Tony caught him, "Take it easy, Kid."
"Why? Why did you let this happen?"
Peter crumbled to dust into his hands.
0000
Vanesa Enoteca
Vanessa was tied to a makeshift cross; she and all her friends were. Asta was there with his sword, but his eyes blank. Her mother had gone mad used her magic to try to control him, and it was working.
"No! Please stop! Asta, don't do it!" Vanessa begged, but he couldn't listen.
He raised his black sword and drove it into Noelle.
Vanessa screamed as Asta moved to do it the next person. She was going to watch her friends die one by one, unable to stop it.
Her mind could only think that this was wrong.
0000
Steve Rogers
Steve found himself in a ballroom having his long-awaited dance with Peggy.
"Peggy?"
"It's all right, Steve, you're home now."
Peggy pressed her body against his, but she felt cold and lifeless; the only warmth he felt from her was from the blood escaping the bullet holes in her body.
He looked around, and people were laughing and smiling, but their bodies shifted as if being struck by bullets and collapsing to the ground, still laughing. They laughed as blood poured out.
He saw so many familiar faces, Bucky, Sam, the Howling Commandos, the Avengers, even that soldier Logan he met decades ago, and they were laughing and bleeding.
0000
Deadpool opened door after door and found no one waking.
Someone was awake; Touma Kamijou was half asleep and walking towards the kitchen; he missed Deadpool when he went into Aang's room.
Considering things, he felt pretty lucky; he had a nice room as they worked on resolving everything. They even let him keep Sphynx in his room.
But he was having trouble sleeping; he assumed most people were having some trouble sleeping. He just wanted to get himself a glass of water.
.He poured himself a when he reached the shared kitchen and started to drink up. Touma wondered if he was still asleep when he saw six people he was sure he had never seen before walk past him.
"Hello?"
The team had hoped they could avoid any trouble, but luck didn't be on their side. They didn't recognize this teen, but he was likely an associate of the Avengers. Honey Lemon glanced over at Wasabi.
"Apologizes," Wasabi manifested an energy dagger in his hand before throwing it at Touma.
The energy was enough to knock out anyone it made contact with. On instinct, Touma waved his right hand at it, causing the dagger to vanish with a familiar sound.
"What?" Wasabi was confused as anyone.
"Such misfortune!" Touma yelled out, dropping his glass and running down the hall as fast as he could. "FRIDAY! Help!"
The computer didn't respond; Touma just blamed his luck.
Honey Lemon reached into her Power Purse; it was designed to find a retrieve whatever item she desired from where ever it might be. The only issues are that it had to be something that she could pull out of her bag, so no pulling a jet out. She quickly pulled out a tranq gun and fired.
Touma just barely dodged it and ran.
"I got him," GoGo told her. "Finish the mission."
Honey Lemon nodded, "Rest of you, go find the source of this strange energy signal, then leave. I'll meet up at the back at the van. If we don't return in an hour, leave without us. Fred, make sure Hiro gets out success or failure."
"Got it." Fred nodded,
GoGo rushed in, and Honey Lemon went to back her up. Fred led the other deeper into the compound.
Hiro was already panicked about this, and it didn't help that they had no idea of the layout of the building. They were walking around following a scanner Baymax had in.
0000
GoGo was faster than Touma and reached for him, but he managed to jump into a side hall. Touma had a lot of experience running from things, Gogo had excellent reflexes, but at that speed, even she couldn't turn a corner that sharply. She quickly followed and caught up, tackling her to the ground.
"Keep quiet."
Honey Lemon caught up and prepared to tranq him.
Click.
"Hey, I have a gun too. Want to compare?"
Honey Lemon looked up to see a man in red; Wade had been drawn by all the noise, which was especially easy as he was desperate for anyone awake.
Honey Lemon smirked, "Boys always comparing guns."
"Look, I'm the first to make dick jokes, but I'm playing the hero here, so let me just point out my guns shot bullets yours shots tranquilizer darts. So let's hand that over."
"Okay, catch." Honey Lemon throws it with a weak throw.
Deadpool easily caught it, but that proved to be enough of a distraction for GoGo to rush him and turn fire the gun into him.
"Ouch!" Deadpool hissed at the dart in his chest. "Whooooo."
Touma tried to jump up to stop her, but Honey Lemon didn't miss a beat and pinned him.
GoGo grabbed the mercenary and readied to gently rest him on the floor and take away his gun.
"Okay, let's try that again." Deadpool dropped his gun and pulled out his sword.
Deadpool held her by sword point.
"How?" The blonde spy looked on, shocked, "That was enough for an elephant."
"And that might matter except I have a healing factor, that's just enough to make me light-headed. Now let go of the kid." To emphasize his point, he pushed the sword to GoGo's neck.
"So you'll probably survive this," GoGo smirked, pressing a button on the glove on her suit.
A surge of electricity flowed out of the suit, shocking Deadpool forcing him to fall to the ground.
Touma used this chance to throw Honey Lemon off. The agent quickly got on her feet and reached for her purse. Touma grabbed her hand, and she pulls him away.
As they struggled, GoGo went to help her teammate put a hand, grabbed her leg, dropping her to the ground.
Deadpool hissed smoke coming off his body, "You want to play dirty? Okay, let's play dirty."
0000
The rest of the team rushed through the building. Every once in a while, the group spotted someone but had all been asleep.
Soon they reached the hanger where the HUB was.
Baymax announced, "The energy readings are strongest here."
"Okay," Fred asked, "what is it?"
Hiro only said, "I don't know. I'll copy over any files I can." Hiro pulled out a flash drive and started downloading everything he could. He read as many files as he could.
Baymax stood behind him, getting ready to guard him if he needed to.
Fred looked around, "Get ready to go; once you have it, we have to leave. We can't be sure no one is up."
Hiro spoke up, "Baymax, double-check air readings. Except for that one, everyone had been unconscious. Maybe there is a gas leak."
Baymax hummed, "All Air readings are optimal; there is nothing in the air to explain their conditions."
"Get away from the machine."
They turned back to see Hawkeye with his bow drawn.
Clint hadn't slept in the last few days; whenever he got to sleep, the thoughts of his family and kept him awake. There was a rage building inside him, and he didn't know where to aim it. At night he used the shooting range to practice his shot. He heard a racket coming from the other room, and it didn't sound like Deadpool, so he came to check.
Wasabi put his hand on his sword; some people looked down on Hawkeye as he was just a man with a bow but not Wasabi. After all, bowman or not, Hawkeye was still an Avenger.
"Don't say I didn't give you a shot." Clint let the arrow loose.
Before Wasabi drew his blade and slashed the arrow in half, mid-air, without wasting an instant, he rushed forwards toward Hawkeye as he already readied another arrow.
Fred told Hiro, "Are you done; we have to leave!"
"There's a lot to get through."
Fred just turned to Baymax, "Get him out of here the instant he's done."
Fred ran forwards to help; the ground shook as he did.
0000
In the dark, someone laughed.
"The soldier fears that he will only know war. The Professor fears he's lost the only family he's come to know. The Watcher fears he will never see his sister. The Black Cat fears she isn't worthy of being a hero." He repeated to himself like a mantra, shaping it all to his design.
He felt something at the edge of it all, something trying to find an entrance.
Then the ceiling shook, distracting him; he felt it enter.
"No, no…. something else is happening."
0000
Honey Lemon found out the kid she was fighting was a brawler, didn't care if he was fighting a girl, and had a hell of a right hook.
She was a better fighter, but he was quick and kept her from reaching her bag. He left her on the defense. He seemed to pick on her moves just to keep her unbalanced naturally. She was impressed.
GoGo wasn't doing much better, whatever she did to Deadpool, he healed up, and he was smart enough to keep her close and unable to get any momentum.
The ground shook.
Honey Lemon smiled, "I think Fred just got serious. We have to get out of here before the others wake up."
"Then I think it's time I get serious too." A new voice broke through the fighting.
At the end of the hall, a purple glowing energy blade formed.
Before Honey Lemon could react, Psylocke closed the gap between them and impaled her with the psychic blade. Honey Lemon collapsed; Deadpool quickly grabbed GoGo moved her forwards to get the same treatment.
"What did you do?" Touma asked.
"Don't worry; it just knocked them out. They didn't feel a thing."
Psylocke arrived after they did, and found the gate open and entered to see what happened and arrived just in time to find Deadpool needing some help.
Deadpool smiled under his mask, "Betsy! I love the whole coming to the rescue thing. What are you doing here?"
"You invited me?"
"You said no."
"I changed my mind; it's what you said. Do you think you can bring everyone back? My brother too?"
"We got a better shot than anyone else."
"Good enough," The psychic ninja sighed.
"I need a favor, do that mind-reading trick. They did something, and no one is waking up. We need to know what is happening."
Psylocke leaned over Honey Lemon and placed her hand on her head. A butterfly-like crest of purple energy formed over the agent's eyes.
Psylocke flinched and pulled away, "They didn't do it; they came here for other reasons. No, I sensed it here when I got here. I just didn't notice it. There is something here entering everyone's mind, keeping them asleep."
"Something, like what?" Touma couldn't help but ask.
"Something powerful and twisted."
0000
It has once been said that where ever great evil rises, good will rise to meet it. In the time of dark and bleakest despair, hope will spring forth.
Maybe all heroes believe that in some sense, perhaps that is what allows them to charge on against impossible odds.
But maybe it's something else.
A random distraction would give them a chance for hope and salvation.
0000
Grey
Grey found herself alone in a forest. Her step-sisters never showed her affection, and her attempt to try and connect with them backfired. They screamed at her, forced her out, and chased her away. Grey found herself lost in the forest. She wasn't going to get out. No one was going to come to her. She was going to be alone forever.
Grey sobbed because what else was she to do when no one misses you.
"Are you all right?"
Through her tears, she saw someone in the middle of the forest. She had short tea-colored hair; she wore a black top and a white skirt. She held a long staff with a star on top with wings on the side. A small yellow cat-like creature sat on her shoulder.
She pulled out a handkerchief from her pocket and handed it to Grey.
"T-thank you."
"Are you lost?"
Grey wasn't used to people and could only nod.
"I'm lost too; I'm sure if we work together, everything will be alright." The young girl reached out her hand. "I'm Sakura Kinomoto."
The girl had a bright and hopeful smile, and for the first time, Grey felt at ease.
"NO NO, NO!" A shrill twisted voice cut through the forest. Sakura vanished from the forest.
Grey stared confused but felt something change, "No, this didn't happen."
Three men appeared behind her, ready to attack her, but someone jumped and defeated them quickly before they could.
"Gauche?" Grey whispered.
0000
Gwen Tennyson
Gwen on the floor, desperately trying to control her power. Parts of her body had begun to burn off and were replaced by purple energy. Gwen struggled to control it; the more skin she lost, the most felt she lost herself.
She wasn't ready.
She didn't want to become that and lose who she was.
Gwen screamed as she struggled.
"Okay, okay, everything is going to be okay. I promise I'll help."
Gwen blinked; she found herself in a distorted version of her high school. Except there was a girl, she had never seen before standing before her.
The plush-like cat on her should her looked at her. "Whoa! That is wild."
"Kero! That's not helping!"
"Okay, Okay, huh, it's magic, right? It's weird power, but…. Uh, it would be best if you tried to relax. Your power can hurt you if it gets out of control, but it's your power."
Sakura offered, "Try to take a deep breath." She reached over and took her hand and gently squeezed it.
Gwen took a breath; slowly, the energy stop growing, and she started to get control.
"No! No! No!"
Sakura vanished; Gwen looked around confused, "Something isn't right."

Sakura had used this weird orb; it took her a while to figure it out. She figured it was her magic wand; she poured her magic and wished for an answer to what happened and a chance to undo it. A portal formed, and she walked into and ended up by the HUB.
She quickly found Genos and tried to wake him to ask him some questions, but nothing would wake up. She pulled out the Dreaming Card, which let her walk into people's dreams and alter them.
She found a younger version of Genos alone and in pain. She tried to help him, maybe get him to wake up, when that voice screamed at her.
Before she knew it, the Dreaming jumped her into someone else dream; she didn't even know she could have done that. Something about these dreams was wrong. And that went for more than one reason; every dream she entered a nightmare, she found people alone and terrified, in pain, trapped or tortured by one thing or another. She saw worlds on fire, people forced to watch their loved ones vanish before them, forced to relive their worse moment. Sakura tried to help where she could, but she was always forced away before doing much.
Through the Dreaming Card and its power, she felt something in all the dreams, something familiar, and she hoped would help her.

Rose Quartz
Rose was crying, and tears were flowing freely onto the ground. The sky was dark red; no matter how long she lived, she would never have seen this coming.
The Diamond's final assault had corrupted all the gems except herself and her friends.
It was her fault in the end; if she had gone through things differently, she might have been able to avoid it. So many were doomed to suffer because of her.
She could only cry now. This once lush field of strawberries was now nothing but a wasteland of shattered gems and broken weapons.
Her tears fell to the ground causing strawberry plants to start to grow. It stung like it was a mockery to battle and those who suffered.
"Hello?"
Rose blinked as she looked back to see a strange human. Rose quickly wiped away her tear and put on a warm smile after all the years of pretending she was a master at hiding her real emotions.
"Hello, what are you doing here? It's far too dangerous for a human to be here."
Humans were such fragile things, and children even more than most.
Rose leaned down to speak to her at eye level.
"You've been crying," Sakura muttered.
Rose was an excellent liar, yet this girl cut right through all of her deceptions.
Sakura didn't see her tears or hear her sobs but looking at her eyes; she saw such heart-breaking sorrow she couldn't miss it. And those words were enough to break whatever walls that the gem tried to put up. Tears started to flow from her eyes again.
Images started to fill her mind, images of a man with a beard and long hair, of a smiling boy she knew she never met, and a small group she knew as her family.
Sakura gave her a big hug to try and comfort her; between her sobs, Sakura could hear, "It was my fault."
"No, no, no! A little meddling girl thinks she can defeat me." The voice rang out.
Sakura felt the Dreaming card pushing hard to keep her in this dream. "Who are you?"
"I think it's time we met face to face."
A black whirled tore through the sky and landing before them,
Kero glowed bright gold before manifested before Sakura, now a large lion with majestic wings. Rose was reminded of her lion for a second before the thought was muddled. She didn't have a lion, not yet. Rose summoned up her shield and stood before Sakura, ready to defend her.
As the winds died out stepped out a man in blue robes and cloak, though calling him a man might be a bit generous. His face was a skull with two beady red eyes glaring hatefully. "Are you ready for your appointment? Good, the doctor will see you now."
Rose wished she had her sword, "Hm, you don't look like the Doctor. She's much more colorful."
Somehow that skull formed a vindictive smirk, "Funny, and you do know that her name isn't the Doctor. She's hidden her name, buried deep down in her mind. I was interested in finding it, but, well, this task is hard enough. Dozens of minds, human, alien, and others put to sleep and into deep nightmares they couldn't wake up from."
"You're the one putting everyone in nightmares?" Sakura tightened her grip on her staff.
"Didn't like my handy work? I'll admit it wasn't my best work; it took too much focus." He shook his head, "I hate to admit it, but Luthor was right; I should have kept it simple and pleasant make them not want to leave the dreams. I shouldn't have played with them. It is a bit too much for me to hold together. It made it harder to maintain as they struggled, some I threw in together in shared dreams to relieve the stress. But then you came," He snarled at Sakura, "the little girl who came out of nowhere and started jumping dream to dream, using mental links I formed to do so. Even now, having to deal with you, the walls between their dream are crumbling; they are noticing errors, starting to pull away. And it looks like somehow I missed a few; I sense minds somehow out of my reach. So much to do and so little time to do it. I'll deal with you quickly."
Rose readied to fight him, "Do you think I'll let you touch her?"
He laughed as the ground beneath their feet raised them into the air and past the clouds. The dirt began to fall apart, and giant pillars shot up. They saw what it was, a giant hand holding them up, a giant smiling skull moved out of the dark sky.
"Do you think you can stop me? I'm Doctor Destiny, and I control yours, in dreams, I am a god." His red eyes focused on Sakura, "You can feel it, can't you? You are struggling to pull away; I'm pinning you in this dream. No more trouble making for you."
"Hah, haha!" Rose burst out laughing, "You control destiny? Oh! and I thought White's ego was huge."
"What's so funny?"
Rose dispelled her shield and waved at the air, "It's just so funny because I can jump into people's dreams too."
Rose grabbed Sakura and Kero, taking them off the hand where they vanished into the darkness.
The Dreaming sensed someone with power similar to itself and sought them to fight this force. Together they managed to pull away, and it helped that the whole time Destiny only focused on Sakura and was taken by surprise by this.
The shock of this act and Rose breaking from her dream made him lose even great control. With a thunderous crack, the walls between dreams fell.

To save another, sometimes all it takes is to reach out a hand—those who were able to did.
Even in her sleep, Gwen sensed some distress from Charmcaster, and her hand reached out for hers. Grasping it tightly, letting their energies merge.

Hope
A small child alone and hurt was left to face the monster that killed her family and her world. Addawaitya just smiled seeing his target so helpless before him. It was then when purple light shone behind her, and a blast of energy struck Addawaitya, forcing him back.
As the light touched, little hope took on her older form.
Gwen reformed from the light, "Hope? Are you okay?"
The sorcerers snorted, "Yeah, I got to stop letting you see me like this." She wiped tears from her eyes, "We're supposed to be enemies."
Gwen offered her a small smile, "We don't have to be,"
Addawaitya snarled at them.
"Let's put a pin on that," Charmcaster hand's began to glow, "I think we have something else to deal with first."

Bruce/Hulk
Thor tumbled out of his dream, suddenly he could think clearly, and he pulled away. He found himself to see the lumbering form of the Hulk holding a broken body.
"Bruce? Hulk?"
The trembling giant looked at him, too afraid to move.
Thor only said, "This isn't real, none of this is real. It's like what Wanda did to us in Africa. This is just an illusion in our minds. You are the strongest avenger; you can fight this."
"Not… real…?"
Slowly the Hulk shifted into the of the merged Bruce and Hulk.
"It's okay; I'm here, it's going to be okay."
"It just seemed so real… I felt her body… I felt I breaking… I felt it grew cold and I di-"
"No, it wasn't you. Someone is putting this in our heads."
"Okay, okay, I need a moment."
Thor stays with him as he gathered the courage to move again.

Missy
Missy was burned by the flames, badly before they died out. She was far too familiar with the sensation, enough to know it wouldn't kill her right away.
"Missy?" The Doctor walked towards her.
The Doctor ran away from her nightmare and watched this nightmare play out, watched Missy betray her younger-self, shot her, and burned by the explosion.
"You came back?"
Missy's mind was foggy from the pain, but the illusion started to give away, "I tried to," she gave a tired and forced chuckle, "Got myself shot and burnt, some idiot set off some explosions."
"Sorry about that,"
A figure now stood over Missy, their image was blurry, they flashed light onto Missy, and her wounds began to heel.
"Whose that?" The Doctor asked,
"I don't know, woke up with a fixed vortex manipulator. I was kind of hoping it was you; my friend comes back to save me. I guess that was too much to hope for."
The Doctor reached out a hand to help her up, "No, it's not; I'm sorry I'm a little late."
Missy took her hand and got up, all heeled up and smiled, "Think nothing of it, I should have expected it. Even with a time machine, you are never on time. Now let's get going. Whoever has been messing with my mind needs to learn; if they're going to play with fire, then they are going to get burned."
"Hell on High Heels, that's you."
"I am not going to take fashion critiques from the woman wearing blue high-waist trousers with yellow braces. I would like to meet one incarnation with something of a proper sense of fashion."
Bickering, the two friends went off to the source of this problem.

Tony Stark
Tony could only watch the very thing he tried so desperately from happening to happen. Thanos forces poured out of the portal and ravaged the world.
He failed.
Everyone he loved was gone because he couldn't protect them.
"Tony?"
Steve walked around the wreckage, not sure how he got there.
Tony barely registered him, looking at him like he saw a ghost, "Thanos killed you… I saw it at… I saw him kill Wanda, Vision, Bruce, Thor, Nebula … Peter…"
Steve went to his side, he didn't know the details, but he understood enough, "Tony, something is happening. Someone is playing with our minds."
Tony stared at him, the words helping him lift some fog from his mind. "Are you really here?"
"I am; we're in this together, Tony."

Throughout the mindscape linked by Dr. Destiny, people started to find ways to escape their nightmares into those other people. Everyone who did manage ended up helping another defeat it and trying to find others.
He needed to kill those trouble makers; a smile crept on his face. These people had seen enough horrors to give him and an army, and he planned to use it.
Author's Notes: So, I wanted to thank everyone who sent me such nice reviews. I needed some good vibes after the week. It actually really got me into writing this new chapter out so quickly. So thanks.
So, yeah, someone pointed out to me it's a little unfair that the characters I made didn't have to show their reactions to the snap so I gave them that scene but it not the worst thing in their mind.
So, anyone who doesn't know Big Hero Six was a comic and much different than the Disney series. I like that series but I loved the comic so much more. Honey is a super genius inventor and spy. GoGo is reformed street racer wearing a power suit. Wasabi can make energy blades. And Fred, well, I've hinted it you'll see.
Psylocke missing her brother joins the team. Deadpool did good.
The Doctor finds out that Missy didn't really betray them. So friendship!
Also more character moments.
Oh, and Sakura Kinomoto who I've shown every once in a while shows up looking for help and ends up helping people here. She's such a kind girl.
Also, no official thing has stated what the Dreaming Card does so I'm kinda guessing. I feel it will be something like this.
And to start the DC arc we have Doctor Destiny taking out most of the team. I'll explain why those spared were later but I think it's pretty obvious.
So again thank you for your reviews. Please sen more telling me what you guys think and what you like. Did any of you guess Destiny would show up? What did you guys think of the nightmares? Who likes Sakura?
Q&A:
Darthwolf: Yeah, well the Doctor tends to find things about people. And they will try to fix it, but can they?
Acosta Perez Ramiro: Yeah, considering what's coming…
themaninthemirror2000: Well, if they have time to interact they should. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for understanding things. And I hoped you liked the anime stuff in this chapter.
AstralWhip: Kirby doesn't have fingers, how is he gonna snap.
Guest 01: 1. Uh, do you want you trust DP with the gauntlet. We might see Hellboy. might see some of them, you'll have to wait and see. 3. yeah, Aang keeping in the avatar state for a hundred years seems to have worn out his life force. The Foundation is in the gray they want to do good but sometimes they have to do bad to avoid something worse. Missy tried to break the universe and hold it hostage to make themselves the ruler of everything. will see. , its mostly making it feel natural. Some character can be gotten to join easier, like just talking but some do need more work and a bit of story. And don't worry I like it when its a long and thoughtful message like this one.
Guest 02: Thanks, your support is really helping and hey got me to get a chapter out faster.
