"A leather jacket?"
Ron straightened his jacket nervously, not looking at Draco. "Do-Do you like it? I was trying to go for a Muggle biker costume, but if you don't like it…"
At Hogwarts, Draco would've turned up his nose and made some scathing comment. Now he didn't have such a luxury, and besides, he couldn't deny that Ron looked really, really good in it. It clung to his arms and his sides and stretched over his chest in sinful ways.
"I like it," he said nonchalantly, somehow keeping his lust at bay. "You — you should keep it on. It's a good costume."
Ron beamed, his eyes traveling over Draco's body, and Draco just barely contained his desire to jump him. "What are you dressed as?" he asked, eying Draco's copper-colored sweater and navy jeans.
"Oh, I'm not dressed as anything," he said. "I'm just going to stay here and hand out candy."
"Blimey, that's a right shame," Ron muttered. He flashed a winning smile at his boyfriend. "Any way I could persuade you?"
Draco was extremely tempted by this offer. All the possibilities…but he couldn't cave. Not yet. He had to make Ron work for it. "No," he said firmly. "Not after last time. How am I supposed to know that I can trust you? You'll put me into some ridiculous Muggle costume and parade me around like a peacock."
"...Not this time," Ron said hesitantly. "I promise I won't…actually, I have an idea."
" Nope. Absolutely not. You ought to be ashamed of yourself," Draco said, equal parts disgusted and horrified. He spun around, watching as the indigo dress flared out around his thighs, and wrinkled his nose. "There's no way you're making me wear this...this horrid thing."
"C'mon, every hero needs a damsel in distress!" Ron urged, fighting back a smile. "How am I supposed to ride off into the sunset without a girl behind me?"
"Your views are seriously outdated," he grumbled. "This hero won't have a girl in about five seconds if he doesn't let me take off this monstrosity."
"Fine," Ron said, mostly because he didn't want Draco to break up with him over a dress. "You can take the bloody dress off. But I refuse to go around with you if you're not wearing a costume."
"You and your…" Draco struggled with the dress, peeling it off of his body. "We don't need to wear costumes to celebrate Halloween. Just spending time together should be enough. Why don't we just stay at home, fill a bucket with candy, and watch a movie?"
"But I dressed up and everything…" Sighing, he began to take off the leather jacket, but was stopped by a hand on his chest.
"Don't," Draco said quietly, fire licking his pupils, "take that off. I have plans for your jacket later."
Judging by the heat bursts in his eyes, Ron could guess what precisely he intended to do and he grinned. "I look forward to those plans."
