Chapter 63: Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

Wasabi rushed towards Hawkeye with his sword drawn; charging at someone with a ranged weapon was dangerous. The only saving grace to this move was that arrows took a moment to reload; if he could reach his opponent before then, he might have a chance to strike and not end with an arrow in the chest.

Wasabi barely reached him in time and swung his sword, but Clint wasn't a one-trick pony, Hawkeye clicked a button on the bow, and it became rigid and like a bow staff. Clint quickly countered the blade and forced Wasabi back.

Wasabi would almost relish the chance to have such a thrilling battle if the stakes were not so dire. They both quickly clashed, not giving each other a single inch.

"Move!" Fred yelled, rushing forward.

Wasabi was still not sure what ability Fred had but knew well enough to fall back. He separated and fell back as quickly as he could.

Clint had good eyes, he always had, and his training made the most of them. He wasn't sure what he was seeing, this skinny guy was rushing for him, but the ground trembled. Clint saw something, vaguely just a little more well defined than an outline of a monster around Fred. He couldn't be sure, but Clint saw a monster like those from Kaiju films.

Fred moved and swung his arm, and though he was far away, that kaiju arm didn't seem to be. Instinctively he moved to block them with the bow. It held, and it hurled him back, illusion or not, he could feel it. Fred moved to grab him; he grabbed another arrow and fired. The arrow slipped past the barely visible hand, and Fred winced, bracing for the attack, thinking this aura body would protect him.

Clint wasn't Tony Stark, but he was far from stupid; there were other ways to win a fight besides beating someone. The arrow collided with this aura body and exploded; it let out a loud sonic pulse and flashed brightly.

Fred screamed as he had been looking right at it that close his ears were ringing, and he blinded for a few moments. He winced in pain as he fell backward, the aura seemingly faded.

Wasabi hadn't seen the Kaiju, he got a glimpse of something, but he wasn't sure what. He raced back into the fight flinging Qi-energy daggers; Hawkeye rolled away and readied another arrow. Wasabi slashed again with Hawkeye deflecting the attack with the bow; Wasabi pushed forward. Hawkeye slid across and grabbed his arm to twist his wrist. That was what Wasabi needed, it would hurt, but he just had enough control over the sword to force the tip across the string on the bow.

He dropped his sword and pulled back his wrist, hurting. He forced a Qi-sword to form in his hand. Hawkeye grimaced, dropping his bow and picking up the sword.

Wasabi readied himself, looking into Hawkeyes eyes; he felt he was looking into the eyes of a war-weary Ronin ready to die in battle if he had to. The rush forwards blades colliding.

The Dreamscape was a mess as they ran.

"You won't get away that easy." Dr. Destiny's voice rang around them.

Every fear, every nightmare, every terror that he could fish out he was now throwing at them.

Men made of metal fire laser at them, "You will be deleted."

Rose summoned up her shield, barely blocking the blow.

Surtur reached out of the sky at them.

"Aqua!" Sakura yelled, activating another one of her cards and sending a torrent of water at the giant.

More of Smiley Men Rushed at them, but Kero breathed fire at them.

They continued to run, more and more monsters showed up.

They kept moving and jumped into another dream, and they heard Destiny chuckle.

Rose blinked as she found Scarlett and Alexis looking confused.

"We're trapped in dreams, aren't we?" Scarlett sighed,

"Yes," Rose admitted.

"Telepaths can be such d-"Alexis paused as he saw the middle schooler, "Uh, hi."

Destiny materialized on the couch, taking a moment to grab some bacon. "Most nightmares aren't catered."

"What do you want?" Rose growled.

"You here, these two have some nasty things in their heads. Demons, reapers, alien monsters, curses, and monsters of every kind. You don't fear any of that as much as one thing." Alexis seemed to grow pale.

"Ah, yes, usually even hinting at something causes it to come to the mind's forefront. But you? Your mind is forcing itself not to think of it at all; I sensed it but couldn't reveal it without waking you. But here we are, let's see what you are most afraid of." Destiny motioned towards him.

Alexis motioned to beg him to stop.

The room they were in vanished, they found themselves walking on a black ocean.

Sakura winced as she saw motionless bodies float on top. Scarlett flinched at them; they knew them; they cared about them.

Destiny looked at the bodies; he wasn't sure if they were dead; they looked very much alive but empty somehow.

"What's happening to the stars?" Kero noticed the stars going dim.

"Nonononononononono!" Alexis screamed in terror; he lost what little composure he had left. "Please no."

Something shot out of the black water and grabbed him, pulling underneath.

Scarlett jumped after him but couldn't follow; she slammed on the water and watched him panic, his screams muddled by the water pulling him deeper and deeper. Soon she couldn't see him at all.

"Alexis!"

Destiny felt something, something with a large presence and something cold. "Wh-"

Destiny couldn't speak just seeing something above them, something that he could only describe as something that shouldn't exist but did.

Destiny fled, leaving them.

0000

Destiny woke from his trance; he felt that thing. It felt real; dreams didn't fool him; he shaped them, he controlled them, but what Destiny felt… that thing felt somehow more real than he was, and it was wrong. His body shook; he felt like he found the keeper of that memory and killed him to put him out of his misery.

Yes, killing him was the only right thing to do. He had to die; that memory had to die.

0000

"Don't look up!" The Doctor's voice rang out. "I can feel that thing above us looking for us, and everything instinct is telling me we don't want that."

Missy's voice was a tad more rattled than she'd care but took Rose and Sakura's hands, "Stay with us and everyone look down."

Scarlett was channeling flames into the water, desperate to find Alexis.

The Doctor grabbed her, "We have to get out here."

"We can't leave him!" Scarlett struggled.

"We can't stay here,"

"I couldn't help him last time! It-"

"I know," The Doctor told her, "these things aren't pleasant to be around, and it touched him, his mind, his very soul. That's what's happening here, a psychic plague, the sensation he felt stuck with him in a memory affecting us. If we stay here too long it… we need to leave now. We will save him. I promise you that."

Scarlett closed her eyes and followed the Doctor.

0000

Gwen and Charmcaster were fighting their foe when they both sensed something … unnatural yet oddly familiar. Before he could react, Addawaitya found black water pooling beneath him, and suddenly he was pulled into the water.

"We need to leave," Charmcaster noted as the water began to rise and cover more area.

They weren't alone; everyone started to realize what was happening. They found pools of black water in their dream, and they were growing, and they all seemed hungry.

0000

Touma looked at the girls; they looked to be about his age; he looked at his hand and wondered if it would wake them up after the psychic attack.

"Hey, I know you're a teen, but keep your hand away from the girls." Deadpool teased.

"I wasn't-"

"Just kidding, a bit of humor to lighten up this horror show of a night."

"Something is wrong," Psylocke winced, "I'm sensing something, something horrible."

She rushed down the halls, and the two guys followed; they found Alexis and Scarlett sleeping but tossing and turning.

Psylocke looked ready to be sick, "Something is happening here; it needs to stop."

Deadpool turned to Touma, "Do the thing. Use your anti-magic hand. Whatever is doing this isn't natural. Touch them."

Touma went over and touched Scarlett, and she gasped awake. "Wh-"

"I woke you up,"

"Wake him up!" She ordered Touma.

He touched Alexis, and with the sound of glass shattering, he woke up as his link to the dreamscape Destiny controlled shattered.

It was clear he wasn't doing well; he curled up into a ball and started shaking and crying.

"It's okay," Scarlett hugged him, comforting him; we're out. It's not here. You're safe."

"What happened?" Deadpool asked.

"Someone is messing with people's dreams, someone calling themselves Doctor Destiny."

"Well, they're pretentious. Oh, Doctor, not Mister Destiny."

Psylocke thought out loud, "A telepath, a powerful one. They'd have to be close by to put so many under a trance. If we want this to stop, we have to find him," Psylocke confirmed.

0000

Hiro watched; his first passion was science but seeing a fight between two modern samurai was exciting. Still, he looked at the notes on the computer, "Oh… STOP!"

Fred and both Wasabi looked over. "I'm reading the files; they're trying to find help, they are using extreme methods, but it far from the worse thing."

Baymax tried to stop him, but Hiro walked over to Hawkeye and bowed, "I apologize, we detected the energy signal from your machine, and we had misgivings. We should have known better."

Hawkeye sighed, "It's okay; you could have just asked."

Fred blinked as his sight started to return, "We need to find the others before they start too much trouble."

0000

Sakura materialized in the air wearing the Dreaming's shimmering cloak before turning back into its card form. Kero was back in his smaller form, flying right next to her. Next to her was Rose, who woke up.

They had to exit the dreams when Scarlett just vanished.

They stepped outside to find Missy and the Doctor.

Missy smiled, "Do you know these two?" She motioned down the hall to Honey Lemon and GoGo.

0000

"I'm going to stay with him," Scarlett assured them.

Alexis was in no shape right now, they couldn't leave him alone, but they had to keep going.

"Let's try to wake up everybody," Touma held out his hand,

Deadpool sighed, "Yeah, more people would be helpful. I'm sure when it happens, Destiny is going to do something to make us stop, but what choice do we have?"

They headed back to the dorms; they soon ran into Sakura and the others. They were more than happy to find someone people waking up and quick trading of notes; everyone was on the same page.

"Find Destiny and getting him to stop this," Deadpool told them, "easy enough."

"This is a big building, "Missy pointed out. "Did he say anything?"

Rose shrugged, "He did certainly like hearing himself talk. But in the end, he got real quiet and just left. Didn't bother to mock us."

"Oh," The Doctor gasped, "if I'm right, and most of the time I am, well,"

"Stop patting yourself on the back and get on with it," Missy snapped at the Doctor.

"He saw it. And that thing might be just a memory of a presence but seeing those often rattled a mind."

"Yeah, Alexis was having a full-blown breakdown," Deadpool admitted.

"Stupid human! Irrational human!" Missy yelled, "If you see something you can't understand, you can't hope to control! You try to destroy it!"

"He's going for the source," Doctor started to run.

As the others followed, Touma bent down and touched the two girls, and they woke up confused. "Hi, I know things are tense right now, but I think we can help each other."

0000

Scarlett looked up to see Destiny around her, several in fact and all holding a knife.

"This close, and you don't need you to be asleep. So why don't you stand aside and let me put him out of his misery."

Flames erupted around her hand, "I know I'm walking into it, but over my dead body."

Destiny rushed at her, and she wiped her flames around; she had to protect her semi-catatonic companion.

Scarlett hissed, and behind her, a knife slashed at her neck, she turned, and he was gone.

"It must be very tempting to burn this place to the ground."

"I'm not stupid, don't try to taunt me; if I do so, I'm fine, but Alexis won't make it, not even mentioning the whole building might go up in flames."

0000

Everyone in the dreams broke through the wall between them and gathered together.

All around them, a dark ocean formed and moved towards them. They tried things, but this hungry ocean just inched closer, absorbing everything they threw at it.

0000

Scarlett jumped around, throwing balls of fire and hitting them at her various targets and making sure they went out.

"Must be taxing to turn off so many flames."

"There is a smokey bear joke there,"

"They have that in your universe too?"

"Can you just stand there making references?"

"Well, you can't find me, so why not?"

"Yeah, let's do something about that." An arrow shot through the air hitting the ceiling and setting off the sprinklers.

"Yeah, heard him talk down the hall," Clint smirked, "He's very loud,"

"What's that supposed to do?" Destiny mocked, "You've just doused a fire user."

"Yeah, and an illusionist who didn't think to make his illusions interact with water." There was a gunshot.

Destiny hissed as a bullet wound formed in his shoulder.

Deadpool held a gun, "Man Pixar would be so disappointed by the lack of detail." Noticing the Doctor glared at him, "Okay, I know you don't like guns. Made it none lethal. Trying to be good here."

"You're outnumbered," Scarlett motioned to all the people around them.

"I'll just have to finish up all your friends that are still asleep, let me go or-"

Before he could, GoGo rushed in holding Touma; Touma suspected someone like Destiny might trying a last-minute shot at them. Touma's right hand pressed against Destiny; he couldn't react as GoGo's speed was that fast even with a passenger.

There was a sound like glass shattering that could be heard all across the compound, and everyone asleep gasped as they woke up.

"You have no idea what's going on. You will not win." Destiny glared at them hatefully.

"Shut up." GoGo punched him, knocking him down.

"Nice punch," Touma complimented.

Touma agreed to talk to the others to let them go after this, so he hoped he could make that happen.

In one last act of desperation, Destiny lunged at Alexis with a knife going for the neck. "He has to die! That thing has to die."

He acted quickly, and people tried to stop him, but something else happened.

Alexis' eyes grew wide and dark; all the pain and terror vanished and replaced by wrath. Someone tormenting you, torturing you, and forcing you to remember what you wish you could forget was terrible enough but attacking him was the last bit. He jumped on a chance to be angry and vent his rage and frustration because that was easier to deal with than facing his terror.

"Participates dolor," The words pulsed with power as Alexis to glow with red energy.

Destiny collapsed to the ground screaming in agony, his body twisting in pain.

Touma touched Alexis to cancel out the spell, and he collapsed quickly, followed by the Destiny.

"What did he do?" Touma asked.

"It's a curse," Scarlett explained, "It's called share the pain; it let you force someone fell great rage against to feel pain, as much as you want as long as you are still angry. All the while, you have to feel the same pain."

"Edgy," Deadpool remarked, "And possibly some anger issues there."

Scarlett sat beside him and stroked his head.

Somehow focusing on rage rather than fear helped; Alexis almost looked peaceful.

Once the others heard that the black ocean was from his mind from a terrible experience, and Destiny tried to kill him, they weren't holding the pain curse against Alexis.

0000

Doctor Destiny was given sedatives to keep him asleep so that he wouldn't try anything.

Steve talked to Honey Lemon, and the team apologized, and they talked things out. While daring, the actual risk was small.

They were going to talk to their leaders in Japan about this situation.

Steve talk to them too.

"How about this? You don't say anything, and we don't say anything." Steve offered up.

After they contacted her, Wamu talk from the computer screen, "And you will continue on your mission? Even if risks are low, they aren't zero."

"The chance of success outweigh the risk. As does the reward."

"Might I make a suggestion," Hiro spoke up, "What if we stay here helping them? We can help mitigate risks and report in case anything happens."

"I would be fine with that," Steve agreed, "We are looking for help."

"I could approve that," Wamu told them.

0000

Tony walked down the halls looking at a screen.

"Tony?" Steve greeted him as he joined the little walk. "Well, Japan is supporting us; the team is going to stay to help. They will report in, but the Japanese Government is willing to keep it from the UN."

"Good, don't want someone like Ross showing up."

"Any news on our new guest?"

"Nope, checked every record I can, and there isn't anything about a Doctor Destiny. Nothing, zilch, nada."

"That either means he has stayed off the radar, which is possible or-"

"He's from another Earth. I was about to check in with the HUB. Anyone portals on this side of the planet will notice it should have redirected it here. Wade said he didn't notice anything but let's just check-in."

Steve noted, "Wade's friend was going to dig into his mind and hopefully tell us where he came from."

"We got lucky that Wade's brain is so twisted the attack didn't take, and Touma is immune because of his hand. Not to mention a girl with a dream magic card showed up." Tony remarked, "I get the feeling things could have gone a lot worse."

They reached the Hanger to see Alexis was behind the controls.

Steve noticed this, "Shouldn't you-"

"No!" Alexis was shaky, "I- I- it's not great. I can cope! I will cope! I've been worse. I need something to do, something to keep me from focusing on- a bad memory. Any luck finding out how he came in?"

Tony held out a device, "Yeah, this nifty little tech shut us down. Everything, FRIDAY, your bots, our security, our satellite dish. The moment he got in here. Everyone else just got lucky the doors were already open." He sighed,

Steve smirked, "Yeah, Hiro did mention how strange it was that they got past the security so fast. His robots just saw everything was done and reported it to him, never mentioning that they didn't do anything."

Tony sighed, "Anything about Destiny showing up?"

"Yeah, nothing," Alexis reported, "Sakura did come in, but the HUB has been down the rest of the night."

"So either he didn't come from another universe, or he came in out of our range and came here normally," Tony explained.

There was a bing, "Boss!" FRIDAY'S voice rang out, "I'm coming back online, and things are bad."

"What's wrong, FRIDAY?" Tony asked.

"We got several emergency messages from Wakanda."

Steve raised an eyebrow at that, "Play them,"

"Too many," FRIDAY retorted, "I'll play the last one, just know that something descended from the sky, they tried to talk to it, but they started attacking them."

The last message played; it was Shuri wearing what looked to be the Black Panther suit without the helmet, "Oh for Bast's sake! Why aren't you answering Rogers!? You better have a damn good reason! Wakanda is gone!"

The camera showed that there was nothing but a large metallic skull with tendrils hovering above behind her.

"They are starting to jam our signals. I'm not sure if this will make it, but we need help." The camera died then.

Betsy's voice ran out over the income, "We have trouble. Destiny's mind is a mess, but I got enough. He's not alone. He came with an army of people with powers. He was sent here to keep you out of it, but they're attacking others. Different places all around the world."

Alexis was using the HUB to scan the globe, "Okay, getting some weird readings over Wakanda. I'm trying to scan for traces of anyone who might have come freshly from another universe. Oh!"

"Oh? Oh, what?" Steve asked.

Alexis brought up some screens, "Um, I think I can use Scout and open some micro portals at the location to show us what's happening."

"Somewhere in Tibet"

The first screen lit up, showing an old Temple, where monks channeled energies to form magical mandalas. They were fighting an army of being shooting spells.

"They're wearing the same duds that Wong was, and those spells look like his," Tony pointed out. "They must be friends,"

"Okay, somewhere in Norway. I think it's called Tønberg." Alexis brought up the next screen.

It showed a desolate village with people walking around and thunder breaking up in the sky.

"I know that name," Steve spoke up, "The Red Skull; I found files to say that's where he found the Tesseract."

"FRIDAY, get everyone suited up and down here. All hands-on board."

0000

"Invasion from another universe," Tony summed down the situation. "Not sure why but they've already taken down Wakanda. They're going after Wong's people and a village burned down in World War 2."

Steve got up, "Not sure what they want, but they came to this world, and they attacked. Not sure I care too much at this point. If these people want a fight, I say we give them one."

There was a flash of light, and someone appeared floating on a chair, "You will need more than that,"

It was a man in a blue bodysuit with strange marking over his body; he sat in advance looking hovering chair.

The group hadn't a chance to sleep, and all at once turned weapons and powers at him.

"I apologize for startling you; I mean you no harm."

"You'll have to forgive us," Steve spoke up, "we've had some less than friendly visitors."

"Understandable, I am Metron; I'm a scientist and chronicler." He spoke calmly, "I have witnessed the infinite paths of reality, and here we come to a crossroads. The survival of those in this room will decide which path creation will take. I would prefer that you have a chance to pick the correct path from the dwindle paths ." He pulled out a small box, and it pinged, "You fail to see the full scope."

"Whoa!" Alexis let out, "we are getting a lot of data. I'm getting the same signals from other planets."

There were people in a futuristic city.

"Xandar!" Rocket pointed out.

Suddenly another screen showed a wrecked city.

Nebula recognized it, "It's Knowhere."

"Yeah," Rocket agreed, "It's seen better days, but that's where the Collector lived; I guess Quill didn't get there in time to stop Thanos from getting the Reality Stone and wrecking the joint."

The next screen showed a barren world with people at the distance at a large structure.

Metron explained, "And Vormir,"

Nebula knew that name, "My father went there with my sister for the soul stone. He returned with the stone but without my sister."

The final screen showed a wild city.

"That's Sakaar," Thor noted.

Bruce agreed, "Yeah, we were there before everything started.

"My father said he got the Mind stone there in the form of the scepter. He conquered and took over the Sakaaran army."

Steve noticed the pattern, "The stones are tied to them; if the Tibetan temple is Wong's people, they must have had the time stone there."

Metron explained, "Yes, each location is tied with the stones. A place where the infinity stones sat for centuries, or places where they were used regularly."

"The Collector used the stone," Rocket barked, "And didn't get himself killed?"

"Yes, from what I can tell, he tended to feed his enemies to the stone," Metron explained.

"Huh? Considering how he treated his help, I probably shouldn't be surprised."

Metron continued to explain, "This Legion has come to this Universe after tracing Thanos' use of the stones here."

The screen flashed data and images, including a large bomb looking device.

"They brought devices to tap into the latent energies and use them in with devices they have left at crucial jump points."

"Why?" Rocket asked.

"Wakanda, though not a location that has housed the stones, where they were used together. Where they shattered the walls between realities."

Missy paled, double-checking the data, "Oh…"

"Yes," Metron explained, "With the remaining energies being feedback to their machines in Wakanda, they wish to replicate the effects of the snap. Not the Dusting Effect, but the shattering effect."

The Doctor paled, "All the machines drain the leftover power to Wakanda, where the barrier between realities are weakest they use the power to shatter the barriers between reality further, and quickly spreading this shattering shock wave through the jump points until..."

"Bye Bye Universe," Missy grimaced, "I give it a B as far as Evil Schemes go, bonus points for using local resources."

"You gotta be kidding me." Rocket's eye twitched, "If they do that, in the state, the barriers are already in the whole universe will break apart in less than a minute."

Missy clicked her tongue, "I'd say a little under three-seconds, maybe two-point-three seconds."

Bruce shouted, "Why?! Why would they do that?"

"Thanos," Metron confirmed, "they can't locate him but have detected he is somewhere in this universe. And they see him as a threat to all things. They have decided he's a threat dire enough to justify wiping out this entire universe."

"And if we missed those other worlds, then…" Alexis noticed.

"It would likely end in disaster; this would have likely been destroyed." Metron confirmed, "If even one machine fully activates, the death and damage will be devastating. Your efforts here will fail, and your goals will be left uncompleted." His little red box pinged again, "I have sent you a team line up that will give you the highest chance of success."

Steve looked over the list appearing on the screens; the teams seemed a bit off; most of the people who came together were separated and teamed with people they were just starting to know. He did consider this might be a trick, that Metron was sent to throw them off. But why? He was giving them new places and more details, telling them to fight in these new battles. Even if he left something out, he gave them a better chance to deal with the situation. If he could just teleport there, why not just leave a bomb right by the HUB? Steve could barely wrap his mind around this cosmic stuff, but the others were worried.

Steve turned to Metron, "Thank you,"

"You are welcomed, Captain. I wish you luck, and I give you one last piece of advice. It would be best if you preserved the ship. To save them, to save yourselves, and to save everyone." He vanished before their eyes.

"How?" Tony asked.

"Temporal shift," The Doctor explained before heading to grab something. "Overly dramatic,"

Steve turned to the group, "Everyone! We have been given an impossible task to stop the destruction of this universe. In all good conscience, I can't make any of you stay. For most of you, this isn't your home. If we lose, you will … you won't make it, so if any of you want to leave and go home. I won't think any less of you."

No one moved; everyone just stood there, waiting to continue. Steve smiled, "Thank you,"

Every one hurried up and continued to get ready.

Carol paused for a moment looked at her ex, "I'm a little surprised you're not heading out. You wanna play the hero again?"

Venomous snorted, "No, I do have my standards. Killing a whole universe for a fleeting attempt to take down one man is a waste. Two-seconds doesn't seem like much, but it might be enough for him to wiggle his fingers. He might stop it or just flee to another universe. Then where does that leave us? Dead or spread across universes to start this all over, hoping to find Thanos amongst the infinite. Or him dead and us never able to bring everyone back. Our best chance is here working together."

Carol smirked; she didn't know if she hoped there would be some small spark of the man she loved still in him even if he was corrupted. She decided not to think about it; that chapter of their lives was gone despite things.

Steve took a moment to talk to Alexis, "If you're not feeling up- "

"I'm staying here," Alexis confirmed, "I'm on the list with my bots to stay here. I agree with Metron's assessment. I need time before I'm ready to fight. Plus, me staying behind to work the controls means I can move you guys around if we need to."

Greyman rolled up next to him, "I'm not battle-ready myself. I'll stay here and help."

Martha was close by, "Me too."

Alexis explained, "The TDS will sense if anyone is badly hurt," He cringed at the memory of their TDS being unable to that against Galeem, "the router will send them to the med bay. Rose and Katara can heal a bit, but there are only two of them."

"I'll get ready in case," Martha headed out to the med bay, only pausing to talk to Mickey. "I expect to see you back in one piece,"

"Right, Boss," Mickey smiled; they shared a kiss before heading to work.

Moments later, Greyman and Alexis had the HUB open up portals near to where the devices were. Everyone was ready for the battle between universes.

Steve had someone from the Avenger's or the Guardian as leaders of the teams, justifying that at least they had some idea about where they were going.

Tønsberg

The portal formed, and Thor was the first walk out of it; he gripped Strom Breaker, ready to use it. The guilt of having failed to stop Thanos weighed on him. He would not fail again; he'd shatter the machine no matter who dared stand in his way.

He paused; they must have been close to where his father died. Thor wondered if he had known, or if this place held some importance. Steve had said this had been the home of the tesseract for ages; maybe there was more than he'd ever know.

They could see the machine a fair distance away in the long burnt remains of a village. A few odd figures saw them and began to meet them. From the nearby water, Thor saw a large shark-man walk out of them.

"Well, that's certainly going to make it more interesting," Thor noted,

Then he felt the thunder in the sky. Above them in the sky was a man in black except for this gold thunderbolt adorning his chest.

Thor could feel him command the lighting.

It would be interesting, but not easy.

Knowhere

Nebula stepped into Knowhere, and Scott was right by her side.

He didn't fill her with a lot of confidence.

Nebula also wasn't confident about many people with them; many were on the younger side. She was trained from a young age; she knew being young didn't mean you couldn't fight well, but she did wish they didn't have to.

Nebula looked back at them, "The Collector's museum is this way; if they were going to set up anywhere here, it would be there."

"What kind of museum?" Scott asked

"One that held rare relics and specimens."

"Cool," Scott looked around, "so was this some mining place?"

"This is the severed head of a Celestial; people would harvest organic matter from it, bone, blood, brain tissue."

"This is a giant alien's head?!" Peridot yelled, voicing the group's general sentiment.

Rose couldn't be helped to be humbled; even White Diamond was small compared to this.

As they passed a pool of glowing green liquid, Gwen had a similar thought even WayBig wasn't this big. Gwen didn't notice as the Omnitrix screen went yellow for a second.

"It's just up ahead," Nebula told them, "be ready. Odds are we will get into a fight right away."

Carapace and Rose both pulled out their shield and moved to stand with Nebula and provide cover just in case.

Pegasus readied himself; if things got really bad, he could teleport them out of danger. If things got much worse, they could use the TDS, but Nebula went over these things beforehand. To make sure they didn't go without some plan.

"Scott, shrink and sneak in and do reconnaissance."

"No problem," Scott turned to the museum and readied to shrink.

"No more sneaking!"

A mech suit descended and landed feet before them. The glass dome opened up to reveal a red-haired girl in a pink jumpsuit smiling at them. "We detected you the second you portaled in. I thought this would be boring; thank you so much for making this interesting."

"Who are you?" Scott couldn't help ask.

She sighed and rolled her eyes, "In my universe, that would be such a stupid question. I'm Alexis Luthor, the richest girl in the galaxy. Supergenius, and leader of this motley crew."

"Alexis?" Scott noted, "And a redhead? Genius? You're like it if they had a kid or got fused."

"Focus, Scott!" Nebula slapped his arms as she motioned to her crew.

Out of the museum came out several aliens, robots, and humans. A woman in a pink-ish body suit glowed with violet light looking over the group.

A man in a yellow suit rushed in, red lightning crackling around him as he ran in. A strange machine strapped to his chest hummed.

An older man with a wide wicked grin in a black and red checked suit looked at them. "Now things get fun! He he he!"

Sakaar

Bruce had some mixed feelings about being on Sakaar again. Though maybe having the Hulk back on the planet could be helpful.

Bruce felt his stomach turn; they dropped in the middle of the arena. The machine they were looking for was on the far side.

"We salute you, those who are about to die." From the GrandMaster's box seat was a bald man in a gold suit with a glowing L on his chest. "Now, let the games begin!"

Several people came out of the other side, including a pale woman with blue hair with sparks shooting off her body. There was a buff man in a Lucha libre masked that eyed Bruce as he cracked his hand.

Kamar-Taj

"Oh, this is delightful!" A beautiful woman with long purple hair in a short green dressed that showed off her cleavage." Luthor, you certainly know how to show a girl a good time."

The Luthor with a beard merely smiled, "I'm glad to hear it." He had his Lex suit on; he looked around, seeing those monks the woman had turned into pigs.

Lex never liked 'magic," and he hated he was leading many magic users to fight more magic users. Still, this was an experience; he could let them loose and sell tickets to this show.

Wong, despite his injuries, dragged one of the fallen monks into the temple. They had come out nowhere and attacked; they set up a machine in the court and dominated. Their magic was powerful, and some of them, like that man with the gold mask, twisted people's minds breaking them and giving them no chance to fight. Wong hated the idea of leaving the temple behind, they could flee to the other sanctums, but he wasn't sure they wouldn't follow.

A portal opened up nearby, and Illyana stepped out, "Hello, when you get the signal, attack."

There was an explosion, the magic-user quickly formed a shield around the machine, but they were surprised.

"What?" Luthor called out as the Warmachine dropped another explosive near them. "What?!"

A pink colored dragon descended, breathing fire down on them.

One of the temple walls exploded as Yami stood there along with the rest of the team. "What are you guys waiting for? Attack!"

He charged, leading the group against the stunned magic users.

Illyana pulled out her sword, "You heard the man," She smiled at the monks before rushing forward.

Calendar

"Okay, so these guys can be a bit stuffy, so let me do the talking; they love me here," Rocket assured his team as they arrived at Xandar.

He quickly paused, he did like Xandar, and that didn't seem like Xandar. The city was destroyed until almost nothing was left. He knew Thanos had been here, but he didn't imagine it was this bad. He found bodies littering the area; some seemed fresh.

The machine was close by, but a group stood beside it.

A bald man in a black suit smiled at them, he merely motioned to his group, and they halted. "Hello, I'll be clear as I was with the people that came when we first arrive. Leave now or don't, your choice," He held up a dented Nova Corp helmet.

Rocket wasn't in the mood to talk; he grabbed his gun and fired.

A pink-colored man with a thin mustache held out a ringed hand—a yellow barrier formed before them blocking the blast.

"They never listen," Luthor smiled; he held up a small red box, and with a boom, a portal formed behind them.

Some large sludge-like creature poured out, then took on a vaguely human form.

After that, a giant mass of swirling green chemicals in a transparent bodysuit stepped out.

They both reached for the group.

Vormir

The world was a barren and dead world; the sky looked dead too. The sun was little but a ring around a dark circle. Two massive stone structures stood at the cliffside; a machine sat waiting to do its work. All around it was a group of people guarding it when a portal opened up.

Natasha and Clint walked out; weapons readied, the others came out the portal and soon got ready to fight.

A tall, pale man in a raggedy black suit towered over the group and growled.

A man in a black and orange mask pulled out a sword getting ready to fight.

"Wait, does he look like-?" Natasha looked to her side to Deadpool.

They looked a lot alike, not precisely but enough for people to notice.

Deadpool pulled out his swords, "Oh! Death Battle rematch!"

Wakanda

Tony suited up, and Steve walked out of the portal, followed by their small group. They had to focus their eyes, it was day time here, and it had been night time in New York. As soon as their eyes focused, they were greeted by an unpleasant sight, pass the forest was a massive crater where Wakanda should be. Hovering, like some specter, was a space ship that looked like a skull with tendrils.

Metal Bat was the first to notice, "Guys, I think we got trouble."

They turned to look at him, and they saw it, several Wakanda warrior wrapped in vines to trees; some of the trees seemed to have wrapped around them. They appeared to be alive but comatose.

"We need to get them down," Suki readied her fan to cut them when something grabbed her arm.

Vine shot out, wrapping around her wrist.

Then all the vines in the area came to life and reached for them. Everyone gathered in a circle doing their best to slice and dice the vegetation.

"Stop that." A beautiful woman growled, her skin was green, and her hair was bright red; she walked out of the forest like she owned it.

"Must be the capes the Luthors warned about. Destiny couldn't hold them back," A tall with skin like a purple leech with lines marking around its torse walked behind her. "I'd love to get a taste of them."

The woman smiled, "I think we're going to have company real soon, so take a quick snack."

This purple man moved towards them; Tony remarked, "I don't think so, buddy."

He held out his hand and blasted him full force.

The man laughed as if it was tickling him; it took Tony far too long to realize he was absorbing the energy. Tony stopped only to be slammed by the man. Steve quickly jumped to him, striking him with his shield only for the man to grab him.

"Oh! That's good," Steve struggled as he felt his life fading. "I don't know what's with him, but it's like having an All-American Breakfast with everything. Extra bacon and fresh OJ."

The woman laughed, "Glad you're enjoying it. Now-"Before she could finish her sentence, something blasted her back.

The man screamed as the blank part of his face where the eyes should be suddenly was slashed.

Steve dropped and tried to catch his breath.

With several shimmers, Okoye appeared holding a smoking spear, the spear that blasted the woman. Shuri, in her Black Panther suit, shimmered into visibility, her claws dripping with purple blood. "Fall back now! She's coming!"

Members of Dora Milaje came along and now motion for the others to follow them.

"What happening?" Tony asked, helping Steve up.

"No time to explain, and we can't make you invisible, now move!" Shuri ordered. "And don't fly!"

The tree line soon exploded as someone crashed in; she hovered just above the ground, seeing the other two hurt, healing because of their powers. Her lips curled into a strange smile.

She was a young woman with short blonde hair wearing an over-the-shoulder cape and a white skin suit that showed off her legs and cleavage.

Her eyes started to glow bright red.

"Go!" Shuri yelled as she threw a grenade at the blonde woman.

The grenade exploded but not in a typical way; it erupted with loud ultra-sonic screech. The blonde woman collapsed to the ground; she dug at her ear, screaming, "Get out! Get out!"

"Move!" Shuri pushed the other along; they quickly vanished into the woods.

After a few moments, the three started to get up.

The green woman hissed in pain, but a leafy covering grew over the damaged skin. The purple man forced the energy to start healing him.

The green woman asked the blonde, "Mind? You still in control?"

The blonde woman shifted and finally got up, "Barely, she's fighting me every step of the way. That little sonic grenade gave her a little wake-up call. I'm putting her back to sleep, but it will take a moment."

"They'll be gone," The green woman reminded.

"I know the Luthors won't be happy to know we had them, and they escaped."

"That's why you're going to tell them. After your in the body of the crush of the one with the glove."

Author's Notes: Welp, another bout of insomnia got you another quick chapter. I've been on a roll so this worked out.

So, let's see for notes. So Alexis has seen some shit, that group has seen a lot so they aren't really phased. But there are things no one should see. I'm not going to name because… someone is racist and I don't like naming them. But there work is echoed in many worlds including in Doctor who, Ben 10, Buffy and many other worlds. Lets just say in the they have influence in every world, hiding in the depths and best forgotten.

Fred! In the disney version he's a guy in a suit, in the comic he manifest a kaiju as an aura! That's way cooler.

Lets give Clint some credit, he's an avenger for a reason. People don't give him enough credit he can do amazing things. Here he fought two people with power by himself after not sleeping much.

Metron is a New God from DC, he knows stuff. He doesn't usually get involved but he knows things and even he can't risk the team messing up.

I will reveal someone I think you will all get, that is Power Girl. Well, I'll get into a bit later but I've hinted at it. This one is supergirl from Smallville, she went into the future with the Legion and my head canon she became Powergirl. In my mind I thought she'd show up on Supergirl and the actress would play power girl from smallville, I hoped they'd do that for the crisis but that didn't happen. So doing it here. As some of you might have guessed someone is controlling her mind. What do you guys think of that?

The battles are starting, okay for this one I do the thing were I don't identify anyone until they do it, just sync reader and characters. But next chapter not doing that, will describe and just say who they will be too confusing if I do that next chapter .Might take a bit longer for the next one, as I want to make sure whose where.

Okay, who can identify the characters I described. I made them pretty notable. Okay, so tell me what you guys think? Leave a review who do you hope shows up?

Q&A

Kingmanaena: Is this soon enough?

themaninthemirror2000:Yeah, he's one of the few people who could take down multiple people and not bring much attention to themselves. Thanks! I hope I continue to give the Big Hero 6 justice. And yeah, first magic girl to arrive.

acosta perez joe ramiro:That is very accurate.

Guest:Yeah, well, I promise Adora will show up. They have portal tech, they know about Thanos and Catra is an issue so yeah. They will show up at the right time. I honestly already planned to have someone ask that about them.

Other Guest: Rose probably not, that something she did when she was younger. She has matured mellowed out. Humbled because her decisions and failures. She might if something happens but it would have to feel natural.

Guest 01:

1. I really liked the idea, I'm glad to hear you guys liked it. If the situation comes I might play it again.

2.I was going for that. Again super happy that worked out. I'm actually trying to get a book out later this year. Editing is a bore and then I gotta work on getting an artist to make art for it. Thanks for the kind words.

3. it sucks. I would love to see them in live-action with their power and everything. Fun fact their creator Man of Action also created Ben 10 and Generator Rex.

4. I did think of Lobo at first but, I thought with all the people they have they'd find someone to easily stop him. Freeze him, teleport him to another world, put him to sleep, with him I want a big fight.

5. if I can think of something cool for Hellboy I will bring him aboard. Yeah, with Missy right now, she's off her time with the 12th Doctor where she tried to actually be good. That they tried to be friends again. It was working, it worked but then she was forced to regenerate and stuff went worse.
