Captured

I don't own Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh

"Oh yeah!" Daisuke cheered, lifting the six Locator Cards in the air proudly as she and her friends along with her father, brother and Solomon left the aquarium together. "Guess who is going to the finals!"

"Hm, Kaiba, Yugi, Mai probably." Joey listed off, counting on his fingers as Daisuke stumbled forwards, before turning to look at him.

"I was talking about me ya little brat!" she said, gripping his cheeks tightly, pinching them hard and he whined in pain as Tristan and Tea laughed.

"Alright that's enough you two." Hatori said, a small smile on his face watching his children interact. "But your brother is right Daisuke. Strong opponents will be at the Battle City Finals as well." He warned her.

"I know, I was just celebrating. It's not every day you become a finalist for Battle City." She replied, her eyes then widened. "Oh shoot, I gotta tell Serenity."

"No sweat, I already called her." Tristan said with a smile, this earned glares from Daisuke and Joey making him sheepishly smile. "Ya know being friendly and all that."

"Well I'm still going to call her." Daisuke replied, walking away from the aquarium as the others followed her and she pulled out her phone and dialled her sister's hospital room number quickly.

In Serenity's hospital room, her mother Julie was sitting on the bed reading a book to her daughter when the phone began to ring. "I wonder who that could be."

"I've got it." Serenity said, reaching for the phone and answered it, making her mother smile. "Oh, hey sis," she said.

"Serenity, I got some good news for ya." Daisuke's voice rang out from the phone.

"You made it to the Battle City Finals!" Serenity cheered before she could answer.

"Dang it, Tristan!" Daisuke shouted, causing her sister to giggle.

"No sis, he didn't tell me. I knew you'd do it, you're an amazing duelist." Serenity praised softly.

"Aw thanks sis, and one day soon I just know you're going to watch me duel in person." Daisuke replied.

"Sooner than you think. The doctor said I can take my bandages off tonight." Serenity informed her.

"Oh, that's awesome!" her sister said happily. "I'll come by and see you later before the finals, love you sis." Joey began tugging on her pants and she sighed. "And Joey loves ya too." She added before hanging up.

"Aw man I wanted to talk to her." Joey said with a pout.

"Get your own phone then or wait until we see Serenity later. Now I just need to pick her up from the hospital." Daisuke said, scratching her chin as Tristan grinned at her making her sigh. "Alright, you can go and pick her up and bring her down here."

"But no funny business, ya got that?" Joey questioned pointing at Tristan.

"Hey, relax, I'll be a gentleman around her, scouts honour." The older teen replied before he turned and ran off.

"I doubt he was even in the scouts." Hatori said to himself watching as Tristan left

Meanwhile as the group walked through the streets, Marik and Bakura were in an alleyway nearby with Marik peeking out into the street looking at the group in the distance. "Good the time has come to put my plan into action."

"How can you be sure this will work?" Bakura questioned, wrapping a bandage around his heavily bleeding arm, the white fabric turning blood red instantly.

"The Pharaoh is easy to predict, when his friends are in jeopardy, he'll do anything to rescue them. That means he will play right into our hands," Marik explained. "Once we have his friends, we'll use them to crush him and capture his Egyptian God Card."

"A fine plan, but humour me, what do you plan to do with Daisuke when this is over?" Bakura asked, a smirk gracing his face. "Judging from the stone tablets in the museum, guarded by your sister. She has some sort of part to play that even she does not know."

"Why ask now?" Marik asked with a frown, curious as to Bakura's sudden question.

"Once I collect all seven Millennium Items and rule this world, I will need a queen. What better queen then someone as strong as her." He answered.

Marik frowned slightly before he scoffed. "Good luck with that." He thought, crossing his arms he caught sight of his Rare Hunters nearby. "Come along, it's time." He told Bakura, both leaving the alley and heading for the group.

Back at the aquarium, Yami, Kaiba, Mokuba and White Veemon stood outside the building looking around for the others. "They're not here, we just missed them." White Veemon said.

"We have to keep searching, my friends are in danger." Yami told the Digimon, walking away to continue searching as Kaiba looked at his younger brother.

"Mokuba, see if you can lock on to Daisuke's duel disk signal again." He told the younger boy. "Head for higher ground as well, you might have better luck on getting a signal."

"Right. I'll be back soon." Mokuba said, carrying his brother's suitcase off in his hands to a building nearby. He soon reached the rooftop of the building and set down the case and began using the computer to try and track down Daisuke's duel disk signal.

"Well what do we have here?" a voice behind him asked, he turned around and saw three Rare Hunters standing behind him, all three smirking at him.

"Grab him!" another of the Rare Hunters shouted and Mokuba took off running across the rooftop only to be knocked over when he bumped into a fourth Rare Hunter and the other three grabbed him.

"Hey, don't you have any idea who you're messing with?" Mokuba shouted before one Rare Hunter stuffed a bundled-up rag in his mouth silencing his shouts while the other two Rare Hunters began tying him up.

"We have what we came for, now onto the next part of the plan." The fourth Rare Hunter said, the group walking off with a struggling Mokuba held in the arms of two of the others.

Back with Daisuke, Joey, Tea, Solomon and Hatori the five continued walking around the streets of Battle City before Tea let out a gasp when she saw two people walking towards them.

"Bakura!" Daisuke exclaimed, recognising her friend slumped over in Marik's arms.

"I just found him lying on the street nearby." Marik told the group as they ran over.

"Bakura, are you alright?" Joey asked the boy in worry, seeing the bloodied bandage he grew queasy and stepped back.

"He looks to be in bad shape." Hatori said.

"I did my best to treat his injuries, but there was little I could do alone." Marik explained. Daisuke stood up and saw a taxi approaching, she waved her arms frantically and the vehicle screeched to a stop.

"Dad, you and Solomon take Bakura to the hospital quickly." She told the older men, opening the door and helping Bakura inside the cab.

"Alright. We'll keep you guys updated." Hatori said, getting into the cab along with Solomon. "Quick, drive!" he told the driver and the cab sped off towards the hospital.

"It's a good thing you found him when you did." Joey said, turning to Marik with a smile. "Names Joey, what's yours?" he asked politely.

"My name is Namu, I'm glad I could be of help to your friend." Marik replied, smiling politely back at the trio.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Daisuke and that's Tea and you know my little brother Joey already." Daisuke said, shaking his hand with a grin as Tea waved at him. Daisuke then noticed the duel disk on his arm. "So, you're a duelist as well?" She asked.

"Yes, though I must admit I am not a very good one. I only managed to win a single extra Locator Card so far." He answered, looking at the duel disk for a moment.

"Hey don't feel so down, I didn't think I'd win all the locator cards I have right now, but I just trusted in myself and here I am." Daisuke said, showing off her Locator Cards with a grin.

"Wow that's incredible, you must be a fantastic duelist." Marik praised and she giggled.

"Aw shucks you're making me blush Namu." She replied scratching her cheek, earning a giggle from Tea and Joey before they both stopped giggling when they caught sight of a Rare Hunter walking up behind Marik, Daisuke saw this as well before seeing four more Rare Hunters approaching from behind Tea and Joey.

"Rare Hunters!" Joey called out, noticing the others behind him and Tea as well.

"Daisuke look out, behind you." Marik warned, Daisuke turned as two of the Rare Hunters grabbed Tea and Joey while the third punched her in the face sending her to the ground.

"Lemme go you creep!" Joey growled, struggling in the Rare Hunter's arms before he bit down hard on his hand.

The Rare Hunter screamed in pain, releasing Joey who then kicked the other Rare Hunter holding Tea in the shin allowing the older girl to stomp on the Rare Hunter's foot and slam her head backwards into his jaw sending him to the ground. "Guys run!" Daisuke called out, tackling the third Rare Hunter as the other Rare Hunter behind Marik grabbed his arms.

"Come on." Joey said, grabbing Tea's hand and running off with the older girl, the two Rare Hunters they had slipped away from turned and chased after them while Daisuke was pulled off the Rare Hunter she had pinned down by another Rare Hunter.

"Who are you, why are you doing this?" Marik questioned before grunting in pain as one of the Rare Hunters punched him in the gut hard.

"Namu!" Daisuke shouted in worry, she struggled in the Rare Hunter's arms before her backpack began giving off a bright light and she gasped.

"Demi-Veemon digivolve to…Veemon!" a voice from inside the backpack shouted as Demi-Veemon jumped out of the backpack glowing bright blue, before he turned into Veemon and slammed his fist into the Rare Hunter knocking the stunned man off his feet.

"What is that thing!?" Marik exclaimed.

"Long story." Daisuke replied, she looked down to her partner and smiled. "Veemon go after Tea and Joey, they're both in danger, and take this call for help." She told her partner, handing him her cell phone.

"You got it Dai, I'm on it!" the blue dragon chirped, he ran off in the direction of Tea and Joey.

"Now that's done, I can finish you punks off." Daisuke said, turning to the Rare Hunters who remained. "Three on one, I've had worse odds."

"Daisuke, help!" Marik pleaded, before he was hit from behind by the Rare Hunter holding him and he fell to the ground feigning unconsciousness.

"Whatever you goons want, I ain't going down without a fight." Daisuke told them.

"Good, this is more fun for us." One of them said with an empty sounding voice, the three Rare Hunters charged her and even though she fought back fiercely against them she was soon knocked to the ground unconscious.

"Excellent work." Marik said, standing up and dusting himself off. "Had you fools not fought for real, the charade would have been for nothing."

"We live to serve Master Marik." The three Rare Hunters said, bowing to the man.

"Good, now take her quickly. We still have more to do." He told them.

Back with Yami, Kaiba and White Veemon, the trio were walking down a street when they heard someone laughing from above. "Hey up there!" White Veemon said, pointing to a figure standing on a rooftop.

"Rare Hunter, where are my friends? Answer me!" Yami shouted up at the Rare Hunter who continued laughing, the Rare Hunter then jumped off the roof and began leaping from ledge to ledge before landing on a lamp post and flipping off landing before the trip.

"Greetings Seto Kaiba, Yugi Muto." The Rare Hunter said, the hood of his cloak over his head obscuring it from view. "I'm afraid you won't be going any further."

"If you think you're in a position to make threats, you're sorely mistaken." Kaiba told the Rare Hunter.

"Oh, but I am Kaiba, you see you will do what we want, if you don't, he might get hurt." The Rare Hunter said with a chuckle. He then pointed behind Kaiba, Yami and White Veemon to show a helicopter hovering into view and Kaiba's eyes widened seeing Mokuba dangling from a rope behind held out the door by the Rare Hunters.

"Mokuba!" Kaiba and White Veemon shouted and Kaiba turned to the Rare Hunter.

"Let my brother go now, or I'll crush you all with the weight of KaibaCorp!" he threatened.

"If you want to see your brother again, meet us there at the top of that skyscraper, if you don't you will never see your brother again." The Rare Hunter said pointing to a skyscraper in the distance before he laughed and ran off before jumping up some signs to the rooftops.

"Seems like we have a common enemy." Kaiba said to Yami with a frown.

"So, it seems, come along we need to save our friends and Mokuba." Yami replied and the two humans and White Veemon headed off towards the skyscraper.

Meanwhile Veemon rushed through the streets searching for Joey and Tea. "Gotta find them, have to keep them safe for Dai." He thought, he came to a stop when he heard a noise. "That way." He turned and ran off.

In a nearby alleyway, Tea and Joey were cornered with Tea standing in front of the younger boy protecting him as the two Rare Hunters walked towards them. "Get back, I'm warning you!" Tea shouted with a glare; she slapped the Rare Hunter closest to her in the face which made him smirk.

"Big mistake." He growled, gripping her arms tightly and pushing her against the wall of the alley.

"Hey, get off her!" Joey shouted before the second Rare Hunter kicked him to the ground, the young boy grunted in pain as a foot was placed on his head pinning him down. He then saw Veemon entering the alleyway and his eyes widened. "Vee, hurry, run, get help!" he managed to shout out.

Both Rare Hunters turned but only saw Veemon's tail as he fled. "Forgot whatever that was, we have what we came for." One of them said, glaring down at Joey who continued to struggle as did Tea.

After an unknown amount of time had passed, Daisuke groaned and slowly opened her eyes. "Ow…that…wasn't the best idea." She admitted, shaking her head a few times before she looked around.

"Where the heck am I?" was her next question, finding herself tied down to a wooden chair in a dark room, illuminated only by the light swinging above her head. "Hey, if you Rare Hunters are out there, you'd better let me go right now!" She shouted.

When she didn't get a response, she began looking around. "Gotta find a way out of here." She thought, she began rocking her chair side to side hoping to topple it over and get free that way. "Almost there, come on, come on." She mentally encouraged herself. She gave one final heave and the chair fell over to the left landing with a loud thud.

"Hey, what was that?" a voice coming closer to the door questioned making her go quiet.

"Doesn't matter, get the other two inside." Another voice ordered. The door opened and Daisuke saw Tea and Joey get pushed into the room, both tied up as well and they fell to the ground, both grunting from the landing.

"Tea, Joey!" Daisuke called out; her eyes wide with concern as one of the Rare Hunters walked over to her. "Leave my friend and little brother alone!"

"Don't worry, they will not be hurt." Another voice said, a tall imposing figure wearing the Rare Hunter's robes stepped into the room.

"Who're you supposed to be? Mr tall, dark and gruesome?" Daisuke quipped before grunting in pain when the Rare Hunter standing in front of her kicked her in the stomach hard. "Worth it."

"Enough." The figure commanded, holding out his hand as the Rare Hunter went to strike Daisuke again. "Get her up." He ordered.

The Rare Hunter grumbled, reluctantly pulling the chair holding Daisuke back up before stepping back. Daisuke gave the Rare Hunter a glare before looking around at the other Rare Hunters in the room, seeing two standing beside Joey and Tea while the one clearly giving the orders walked up to her. "Leave her alone!" Joey shouted, struggling to try and free himself from the tight ropes around his arms and legs.

"I am Marik." The Rare Hunter told Daisuke, a cold look in his eyes as she looked up at him with a glare and he pulled out the Millennium Rod from his robes. "And you will become my latest servant."

"I doubt it. I'm not some weak-minded loser like the rest of your puppets." Daisuke replied.

"That may be so, but every mind breaks eventually. It's all a matter of time, and we have plenty of time Miss Wheeler." He told her.

"Do not waste time. The Pharaoh is most likely on his way to try and save his pathetic friends, we must ensure they are ready to play their part before that." A voice in his mind told him, as from the shadows stood another figure.

"I understand. I won't fail you." The Rare Hunter thought back. The door then swung open as another Rare Hunter walked in carrying a struggling Mokuba who also was tied up.

"Mokuba!" Tea gasped; her eyes wide in worry as the younger boy was tossed harshly to the ground landing with a grunt.

"Good work, now Seto Kaiba will also come to us." The Rare Hunter said coldly.

"Kidnapping children, man you're really stopping to new lows ain't ya Marik?" Daisuke growled. She struggled in her binds some more before two Rare Hunters dragged her out of the room after the other Rare Hunters and slammed the door before locking it.

"Mokuba," Joey whispered scooting over to the younger Kaiba brother.

"Joey, Tea, thank goodness you're alright." He said sitting up with a smile.

"How the heck did the Rare Hunters capture you?" Joey asked him.

"Seto had me trying to track Daisuke's duel disk with our satellites, but for some reason her signal's not coming through." Mokuba explained. "While I was somewhere high up, hoping to get a better signal, some Rare Hunters attacked me and captured me."

"No doubt because they want Kaiba to do what they want, and if Kaiba doesn't they'll hurt you." Joey said with a frown.

"We have to get out of here, if we don't, who knows what'll happen to us." Tea said, more concerned for the young boys rather than herself. She looked around the room and spotted a half open window with several crates stacked below it. "There!"

"I can fit through there." Mokuba said.

"Same here." Joey said. Looking down at the ropes around his wrists and ankles, he spotted a shard of broken glass nearby. "Eureka!"

"Be careful." Tea whispered. Joey got to his feet and hopped over to the glass shard before managing to pick it up as they heard a noise outside the door. "Quick!" she hissed to the boy. Joey quickly hopped over and sat down beside Tea and Mokuba as the door opened and a Rare Hunter walked into the room and looked at the three for a few moments before leaving.

Meanwhile with Daisuke, she had been taken out of the chair and was now laying on the ground in front of a chair shrouded in darkness while the Rare Hunter who claimed to be Marik stood in front of her. "You indeed are a stubborn person Miss Wheeler," he complimented her.

"Well thanks, part of my charm." She replied before the glowing eye of Marik's mind slaves slowly began forming on her forehead again and she closed her eyes. "Gah, get outta my head…" She growled out.

"If you will not give in easily, then I will break your mind and leave it nothing more than an empty shell." The Rare Hunter threatened, Daisuke continued resisting before a throbbing sensation overtook her mind and she began to grunt and whimper softly as the glowing eye on her forehead began to glow brighter.

"No…get…out…I won't…" she got out before she let out a scream as the sensation in her head became unbearable and she writhed around on the ground in agony as the Rare Hunters watched with smirks.

"Daisuke!" Joey gasped from the other room, once Tea had used the shard of glass to cut the ropes on his ankles free, he jumped to his feet and ran to the door. "Hey what're you doing to my sister you jerks!"

"Joey!" Tea called out as the boy began banging on the door with his shoulder.

"What is he doing, he's going to get us all caught." Mokuba said in worry, Tea finished cutting the ropes around his wrists.

"Quick, out the window." Tea ordered the young boy rushing over to the crates and she began helping him climb up them. "Get out of here, find Yugi and Kaiba. Tell them where we are, and we need help." She told him.

"But what about you guys?" Mokuba asked, his eyes showing concern for his friends.

"Don't worry about us, quick before they come in and see you escaping." Tea said softly. "Go." She urged Mokuba lifting him up to the open window.

"Alright. I'll be back soon, I promise." Mokuba told her with a nod, he climbed through the window and dropped down onto a crate outside before climbing down it and he hid behind it when he saw a Rare Hunter walk past, once the Rare Hunter turned the corner he took off in a dead sprint.

"Come on ya jerks, open this door and prepare for a butt kicking!" Joey shouted, slamming his body against the door again before it was opened and knocked him onto his back.

"The hell are you trying to pull ya brat?" the Rare Hunter demanded, grabbing Joey by his shirt, and lifting him off the ground.

Tea climbed down the crates and ran over to the Rare Hunter. "Let go of him!" she shouted, jumping onto the man's back and biting down on his ear hard. The Rare Hunter screamed in pain and dropped Joey before he threw Tea to the ground and she landed with a thud and the man rubbed his now bleeding ear, he then saw Mokuba was missing along with the cut bindings littering the floor.

"Master Marik, the Kaiba brother has escaped!" he shouted, running into the other room.

"What!?"

Daisuke softly chuckled as the glowing eye on her forehead faded as the hold over her mind was lessened. "Good job Mokuba…" she whispered, a faint smile on her face. More Rare Hunters ran into the room to search for Mokuba, when they did not find him, they returned dragging Joey and Tea along with them.

"It seems that I underestimated how troublesome you three can be." The Rare Hunter said glaring down Daisuke with a frown. "If you will not become my mind servant, then perhaps I will have better luck with your brother." He said.

"No…" Daisuke whispered, watching as Joey was dragged away from Tea and forced to his knees in front of the Rare Hunter.

"Don't hurt him!" Tea pleaded struggling in the grip of the Rare Hunters holding her arms tightly. "He's just a boy!"

"I do not care, to me he is simply another mind slave." Joey gulped, looking up at the Rare Hunter who held the Millennium Rod to the boy's forehead.

"No, wait!" Daisuke pleaded, everyone turned to her as she slowly sat up. "Don't do it." She whispered.

"Miss Wheeler?" the Rare Hunter questioned.

"If you want someone to do your dirty work, then let it be me." Daisuke whispered, glaring up at him. "I won't let my family get hurt in your schemes."

"Dai, no." Joey whispered as the Millennium Rod was pulled back from him.

"It'll be alright Joey." Daisuke said softly, she bowed her head as the Rare Hunter held the Millennium Rod towards her and slowly the glowing eye formed over her forehead and her eyes glazed over.

"Now you serve me." The Rare Hunter said, he then turned to Tea and held the Millennium Rod up and a glowing eye formed over her forehead and her eyes glazed over also.

"Tea!" Joey shouted in worry, turning to the Rare Hunter he gulped before oddly the Rare Hunter walked off. "Hey, what about me!?"

"Your sister gave herself up for your safety. As such your mind will be left untouched, but that won't mean you go free." The Rare Hunter replied as two other Rare Hunters dragged Joey back to the room making sure to tie him up securely and keep watch over him.

Meanwhile, Mokuba was running through Domino City before he crashed into someone as he ran around a corner, both landing in a heap. "Ow, watch it!" he shouted, sitting up before he blinked. "Huh, you look like my brother's Veemon." He said looking at the blue dragon who resembled his brother's partner.

"That's because I'm Veemon, Daisuke's Digimon." He replied, rubbing his head before his eyes widened. "Oh no, I gotta hurry, Daisuke's in danger!" he shouted.

"I know, I was with her a few minutes ago." Mokuba told him. "The Rare Hunters are holding her, Tea and Joey prisoner, I escaped thanks to Tea and now I'm going to find my brother and Yugi.

"Alright, we'll go together." Veemon told the boy. "This way if another Rare Hunter finds us, I can handle them."

"Right, come on." Mokuba said, the two took off running hoping to find Yugi and Kaiba before it was too late.
