Happy Halloween. Well, might not be that happy with the current situation. But I hope you all still have an okay time and that you all are staying safe.

Guest: About Maggie, you get the answer in this chapter. To others like Haiku, Tabby, Sam, etc. I have no idea how I can manage to make it believable. That doesn't mean automatically no, but I wouldn't give a simple yes as an answer too. So my answer so far is. Maybe.

He23t: You will see her in this chapter again. With so many characters, it is difficult to manage them all. So, some may be a bit rare to see. But cool that you're still interested in D.

Looks like I have a new personal record. This chapter is longer than my anniversary chapter. As I started it three weeks ago, ideas popped into my head, and so it is now this little behemoth of a chapter. But we all have a lot of time at home, so at least you have something to spend time with.

Chapter 63

This is Halloween

Lucy roses up from her bed with a big smile on her face. Without hesitation, she gets changed and walks down the stairs with glee in her steps.

What makes the little goth, who is usually pretty emotionless, so happy, you might ask.

The answer is to find in the calendar. It is October. Lucy's most favorite month of the year that also contains her most favorite holiday of the year. Halloween.

She is planning her costume for this year as she overhears an argument from the kitchen.

"A Halloween-party? I don't know, dear," Rita says.

"Please, Mom. Isaac's band will be there. I have to see them," pleads Lincoln to his mother.

"A Halloween-party with live bands. How's it come that I'd never heard of that before?" asks Luna, who was taking her morning coffee.

"He said that it isn't told everyone, to avoid getting people there, who just want to make trouble. Hey, maybe you guys can play there too."

"Hm, that would be rad."

"See, Mom? So I'm not alone with Isaac. Please, pretty please."

"I'm not sure about that. What if they give you alcohol or are do drugs there? Maybe when you're older, you can go to parties with your friend."

"But, Mooom. I need that. I need something to distract me from my sorrow."

"Lincoln Marie Loud!" his father says sternly.

This is not good, thinks Lincoln.

It is never good when one of them gets called by their full name.

"I know that you're going through a rough time. But you can't always use your depression as an excuse to get what you want."

"An excuse? What are you talking about!?"

"Whenever you want something, you bring your depression up to get it. This isn't right."

"I don't use it to get what I want! You just don't understand me. You have no idea how this all is!"

Lincoln gets more and more quick-tempered and angry at his parents. Luna is noticing that quick enough to jump in just in time.

"Hey, hey, hey. How about you take a step back and take a deep breath, bro? Let me talk with them, okay? Look, Dad. This all is not that easy. Lisa had told me a bit about what she already has learned. And there is a lot that you have to consider."

"Luna, I know there is a lot about this that we don't really know or understand. But we don't know what kind of party that is. We are just worried that there might something happening to Lincoln."

"How about that? I ask Isaac about this party. If he knows about it, he also might know what kind of party that is. And I promise to tell you everything he is telling me, and after that, you can decide if Lincoln and I can go. Okay?"

Their dad sighs in defied. "All right, all right. But when we still say no, that will be our last word. Understood?"

"Thanks, Dad," Lincoln says happily.

Luna had called Isaac to ask him about that Halloween-party. He decided to come to them to tell their parents himself about it. Luna thought this might be a good idea. She had seen what a sweet-talker he can be. Maybe he can persuade them.

It is funny that I want to help Lincoln to go to this party. I mean, I'm sure they'll have alcohol there. If mom and dad find out, I'm dead.

Well, helping her boyfriend wasn't the only reason she did that. She wanted to see Isaac and his band too. Luna was impressed by Isaac's skills on the bass and his singing. And she also was interested in how good Ellie is.

After his shift in the Black Coffee was over, Isaac comes to the Louds. He was ready to knock at the door as it opens from itself.

Lori was a little startled when she saw Isaac standing there, surprised.

"Oh. Hey, Isaac. Lincoln is in the living room."

"Thanks, Lori. And where are you going?"

"I'm literally on my way to meet my boyfriend."

"Have fun on your little date."

Lori giggles slightly, "Thanks. It was nice to see you again." She passes him and walks right to Vanzilla. But stops immediately. "Oh, by the way. Thank you for your help with Leni. I don't know what you have done, but she is way happier again as she was at the beginning of school."

"Always a pleasure to help."

Both wave at each other and Lori then enters the van and drives away.

Isaac enters the house, and as Lori said, was Lincoln on the couch in the living room together with Luna.

"Hey, you two. What'cha watching?" he greets both.

"Hey, Isaac. This is a new show. So far, it's been really good. Come and watch it with us."

He sits down beside Luna. On the TV screen are some people, probably police officers or some sort of it. They are in a dark forest, where it looks like a murder has been happening.

"Do we have any traces of the murderer?" asks a man in a dark trench coat and a black fedora. He probably is the main protagonist.

"Un... unfortunately, no, Si... Sir." answers a young officer who is close to throwing up. "They had a massive... a massive fight. So any trace... any trace around three to five meters is useless." Looks like he is the new guy who still has to prove himself.

The man in the trench coat ignores that the officer gets sick from seeing all this. "Do the men still picking up the remains of the victim?"

"Yeah, Sir. Our... our guy really had ripped him into pieces. His tentacles are... they're all over the place."

Trench coat is taking a sip from his hip flask. "At least one of those freaking monsters is gone now. Just wouldn't he make me so much paperwork, I would actually like our killer. Well, at least, the parents of this town can stop being worried about their children."

"Sir. We have found his head," another officer says.

"I think we can already confirm who our victim is, but whatever. Show me."

He leads them to the place where they found the head. It was completely white and had no hair nor face on it.

"Yep, that's our 'man.'"

It then cuts to a commercial.

"Hm. Interesting show," Isaac says.

"Ah, hello. Nice to meet you again, Isaac," Rita says as she comes out of the kitchen.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mrs. Loud."

He really knows how to talk to people, thinks Luna.

"Darling. Isaac is here," she calls out for her husband.

"I'm coming," Lynn Sr. calls back. He then comes also from the kitchen. "All right, young man. Then tell us about your little party. Where exactly is it taking place?"

"It is a bit outside of town in an abandoned warehouse. So no one would be disturbed by the loud music."

"An abandoned warehouse?" both parents ask in a not so pleased tone.

"Oh. Don't worry, the person who is organizing that all made sure that everything is safe and secure. I mean, you wouldn't get the permission of the mayor when you try to party in a building which structure threatens to collapse."

"The mayor allows it?"

"Yeah. It isn't a secret to him. He has approved everything."

"All right. What about alcohol or drugs?"

"They have security there who checks if someone tries to bring something with them. Those people will be immediately kicked out again. I know I might not look like the most responsible person around. But I will not bring your son to a Halloween-party where he could consume alcohol."

Luna was kinda frightened about how easy and without a single sign of guilt, he can lie, directly into their faces.

"So, there is no alcohol at this party? I don't want to offend you, but it is a bit hard to believe that. Back in our days, those kinds of parties always had alcohol."

"So it was okay for you to go to those parties but not me?" says Lincoln, slightly annoyed.

"Son, this is different. We weren't twelve anymore then."

"I bet you weren't twenty-one either," he defiantly replies.

"I don't like your tone, young man!"

Isaac steps in, in the little dispute between Lincoln and his father, "Oh boy. Looks like you were right, Luna. It is pretty bad with Lincoln."

"What do you mean?" the patriarch asks.

"You can clearly see that this right now comes from all the pressure. He really needs that relief. Please, Mr. Loud. I swear on my car that I keep Lincoln and Luna safe at the party."

"A party? Ooh, can I come with you?" Leni asks as she comes into the living room.

Oh, oh. That could be a little problem. What if dad asks her, after the party, if there was alcohol? She can't lie, it goes through Luna's head.

"Sure. If your dad allows it. See, Mr. Loud? With Leni and Luna with us, everything is fine. They both are responsible people, right?"

"I am?" asks Leni, surprised.

"Yeah. You're one of the most responsible persons in the house, Leni," answers Lincoln, quickly.

"Hm, Leni can keep an eye on Luna while she keeps an eye out on you guys. And you absolutely promise me that there will nothing happen to my kids?"

"I'll protect them with my life if I have to. But seriously, it is security there. It isn't the first time that they made this Halloween-Party. And so far, you never had heard about trouble coming from there, or do you?"

"Not so far as I know. Okay. We'll allow it. But if something happens, this was the last time we allow something like that."

Lincoln and Luna are looking happily at each other. Leni also is happy and runs right back into her room.

"Man, that girl can be quick."

"She probably is planing her costume. She made them for us all every year. I also have to plan what I want to be this year."

Luna laughs, "You'll total go as Ace again, like every year."

Lincoln laughs slightly and scratches the back of his head.

"Aw, I bet you'll look just adorable in your Ace costume."

"Would it kill you to be not sarcastic for five minutes?"

"Probably yes."

"I have to say, it is a bit scary how well you can lie, Isaac," says Luna.

"What do you mean?"

"Back there with our parents."

"I haven't lied to them. I just haven't told them everything, but I hadn't told a single lie."

"Wait, the mayor truly allows this party?" asks Lincoln, surprised.

"Yup."

"But what about alcohol? You have brought Lincoln to the woods where you're drinking."

"First off, I said I don't bring him to a Halloween-party where he can drink. Second, I never said that there isn't alcohol. I said people are being checked to see if they could have anything with them. But what is your dad thinking? Drugs? This isn't a party where everyone gets stoned and have a big sex orgy. Anyway, I have never lied, just had some stuff let out."

"You sneaky bastard."

"Thank you, Luna. Also, if you want, I can ask if you and your band can play at the party too."

"That would be dope."

Meanwhile is Leni at her desk, thinking about what kind of costume she should make for the party.

"It has to be something that will capture Linky's full attention. This is my chance to make this into a date with him. And with Luna and Isaac there too, no one would suspect anything."

After Lori had left with Vanzilla, she got worried.

"Keep calm, girl. You don't date Bobby because he is like Lincoln. That is absurd. You have thought that literally through ten fuck—"

Lori puts a hand on her mouth, her eyes shifting from left to right. Her mom is not in the van with her. She puts her hand back on the steering wheel and breathes again.

"Ten FUCKING times!" she finishes her sentence.

It felt good to let it out. Swearing isn't that bad. Of course, their parents are right to say they shouldn't do it in front of the younger ones.

"Yeah, they're both great boys who know how to treat a girl right. But Lincoln lives with ten sisters. Of course, he knows how. Bobby wasn't influenced only by girls. He has his mother, Ronnie Anne, and..."

Bobby has a father. But he lives in Peru. So he had lived probably most of his time with women around him, like Lincoln.

"That means nothing. They aren't that similar."

Lori arrives at Burpin' Burger. Not the finest place for a date, but it doesn't matter. She knows that Bobby is a bit short on money since he only works in the store of his family and also saves for their future together.

He is so forward-thinking.

Lori let out a love-struck sigh.

He will be a great dad... like Linky.

Her eyes open wide, and she snaps out of her thoughts.

"What the heck? Where did that come from? Relax, Lori. You're here to have a nice time with your boyfriend. Don't ruin it."

She goes into the burger joint and looks around if Bobby is already there. But she didn't see him. So, she gazes had her phone and notices that she is a little bit early.

As Lori takes place at a table to wait for her boyfriend, a waitress is coming to her.

"Welcome to Burpin' Burgers. Do you need anything, dear?" asks the waitress, who looks a bit old for the place.

"I would take a glass of water, please. I wait for my boyfriend to come."

"A date. How cute. Young love is always such a sweet thing."

Lori laughs a bit bashful, "Yeah. It truly is."

"I bring you some breadsticks too, my dear."

"Oh, thank you."

She waits for five minutes, but still, no Bobby. She waits for ten minutes, but still, no sign of her boyfriend. Fifteen minutes and his car finally arrives at the parking lot.

He comes in, sees Lori, and sits at her table.

"I'm sorry, Babe. The traffic was crazy in town. I barely got forward with the car."

"Why haven't you called me or sent me a message that it will take time?"

"But, Babe. You know that you shouldn't use your phone when you're driving."

"But you..."

That was typical for Bobby. Sticking to the rules. Wanting to make things right. Avoiding trouble.

Lori loves that about him. But again, Lincoln pops up in her head.

In the last couple of months, he has become a bit more mature. But was still like a little boy. And Bobby wasn't that different.

"It doesn't matter. You're here, and that is what counts."

"So the young man has finally arrived," the waitress notes as she comes to take their order.

Lori places her order, and Bobby takes the same. The waitress gives the young Latino a stern look because he made Lori wait so long

"How is Ronnie Anne doing?" asks Lori.

"She is doing fine again. She found a new friend in school, and thanks to her, she got out of her room again."

"I'm glad to hear that. This all had hit both very hard."

"I still don't understand how he could do that to my sister. They were so good friends."

"Bobby, I had told you. It is a bit more complicated."

"Why don't you explain it to me more? What is with your brother?"

"It is not up to me to talk about that. It is Lincoln's decision."

Lori remembers back as she had talked with Lincoln.

"Why don't you let me explain it to Bobby? He can tell Ronnie Anne about it. I bet she will understand it, and then will be everything good again between you two."

"Because I don't want her to come back just out of pity. What I have done to her is inexcusable. No matter if I have depression or not. She's probably better off without me"

"Lincoln, don't torture yourself for what happened."

"Just promise me that you don't tell Bobby about me. If anything, it is up to me to tell them."

Bobby wasn't happy that his girlfriend doesn't explain it all to him. But he doesn't want to force her to tell him what is going on.

"But enough with our siblings. This is a date. This is about us, my Boo—"

Lori's throat tightened as she sees Bobby with white hair. She shakes her head vigorously, and when she looks at him again, his hair is back to its usual color.

"Everything all right, Babe?" asks Bobby, concerned.

"Ye-yeah. I... I just need to go to the bathroom quick."

Lori stands up and goes, as said, to the bath. There, she splashes cold water into her face.

"What the heck is wrong with me? I'm not dating Bobby because he is like Lincoln. But why do I compare them so often lately? Why do I think so much about him? Why... why... God, why did Leni have to say all this about Lincoln?"

Later that day, Lori comes back home. But she hadn't looked that happy as expected. Lincoln got a bit worried and decided to look after her.

He knocks at her half-opened door. "Can I come in?"

"Hm? Oh, hey, Linc. Sure come in. Do you need anything?"

"Well, I noticed that you looked a bit down. Did something happen between you and Bobby? Please don't tell me you two of you got into a fight about me and how I treated Ronnie."

Lori smiles softly about her little brother and his concern for her. "No, no. Everything is fine between us. I think..."

"You think?" He raises an eyebrow and comes closer to her bed.

"It's... complicated. Adult stuff, you know."

"I'm still growing, but that doesn't mean I can't listen if you need someone to talk with. We are family. We're watching over each other."

Lori sighs, "Oh, Linky. You have no idea what a great man you will become."

He had sat beside her, and she is stroking gently through his snow-white hair. This tender moment and her words are making him blush.

He laughs shyly, "Well, that's mainly thanks to all of you guys. Without so many wonderful and lovable sisters, who knows what would have become of me."

"Oh, Linky, stop. You make me blush. You're way too sweet. Too bad that you're my brother and not my age."

"What did you say?"

"Eh, nothing. I was just thinking to myself. Be careful, Lori. When you go on like this, you'll fall for him like Leni.

October continuous, and you can feel the spirit of Halloween more and more with every day.

You can see that, especially in Lucy. She is happy and excited most of the time.

Slightly Isaac laughs about that. "You know, it is kinda cute to see her like that."

"Okay, who are you, and what did you do to Isaac?" says Lincoln with a laugh.

"What?"

"Since when do you find something or someone 'cute'?"

"I probably excited like Lucy. That will be over again, and then I'm the old sarcastic asshole again."

The two boys hear Rita clearing her throat very loudly from the kitchen.

"Mom doesn't like it when we curse," explains Lincoln.

"Your mom has some good hearing."

"Yeah, but only when we curse. It's like she has a sense of it or so."

"Creepy. Anyway, there are two things I forgot to tell you about the party. First rule of Halloween-party is. You do not talk about Halloween-party."

Lincoln scratches the back of his head and laughs nervously. "Funny that you say that."

"Oh, for fu—for Pete's sake." Isaac sighs, "Let me guess. You have told your best friend about it, haven't you?"

"Maybe."

"And maybe he wants to come with us, am I right?"

"Yeah. Sorry about that."

Isaac massage the bridge of his nose. "It wasn't easy for me to get you into this party. Wait, he... what was his name again?"

"His name is Clyde."

"Right. You had told me that he has two dads?"

"Yeah... What does that have to do with the party?"

"I think I can do something with that."

"All right," says Lincoln, unsure what Isaac is planing. "But he isn't the only one."

"What? Who else do you have told about it?"

"It wasn't me. Luna had told Luan about it."

"You guys are truly something, you know that? Okay, okay. I look at what I can do. But if more find out about it, it's all over, and even I can't go to the party anymore."

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah, whatever." Isaac sounds a bit annoyed by that. "The other thing is. This is a Halloween-party. That means you should wear something more spooky than your Ace costume."

"Oh, I... I understand." Lincoln looks sadly at the ground.

"Why the long face? It is only a costume."

"I know. It's just that... would I have known last year that it would be the last time for Clyde and me to go as Ace Savvy and One-Eyed Jack. I would have made more out of it."

Isaac begins to think. "Hey, Lilly is still going trick-or-treating, right?"

"Yeah. Lola, Lana, and Lisa too."

"The little prof? Wouldn't have thought she goes trick-or-treating."

"Oh, she loves sweets. But we have to watch that she doesn't eat too much. She gets very hyperactive because of the sugar."

"Hm. Sounds like a lot of fun. I bet she likes to go as Zweistein."

Lincoln begins to laugh. "That one year, she wanted to go as an Erlenmeyer flask."

"Doesn't sound that exciting."

"No, you don't get it. She wanted to 'just' go as the flask. No liquid in it. And nothing else on her."

"Ooohh. Would have loved to see the face of your mom. How old was your sister there?"

"I think she was four. So yeah. She hadn't seen the problem with that."

"Oh boy. Your sisters are truly something. Anyway, look. A good brother is going with his little sisters from door to door, right? How about you and your friend go with them in your costumes. The party doesn't start that early, so you two can go the last time, and before we drive off, you change the costumes. How's that?"

"Really? Thanks, man. Then I have to talk with Leni about a new costume."

"Out of my way, you two," says Lucy as she takes place on the couch.

"Whoa, girl. Did I miss something?"

"Sh," commands Lucy, the older boy, to be quiet.

"You shouldn't get in her way when she wants to watch her show," explains Lincoln.

"Oh."

Isaac looks at the TV where Lucy's favorite show begins. The Vampires of Melancholia. And he doesn't look that pleased by that.

"Oh, hell no!"

Rita looks out from the kitchen, clears her throat again, and gives Isaac a very sternly look.

Geez, it's hard to not curse. "Do you really like that show? This is an insult to vampires."

Lucy's head turns slowly at Isaac. "What did you say?!"

"This guy is a castrated version of a Vampire. They're supposed to be creatures that strike fear into the heart of the mortals. They're sublime, powerful, and terrifying. But this emo boy is nothing from that."

Lucy jumps up on her feet to be more eye-leveled with Isaac. "Do not dare to speak like that about my beloved Edwin."

"Of course, you have a crush on him."

"Take back what you have said about him."

Isaac smirks at Lucy. "Make me."

"You are not worth the effort. You would never understand what we have."

"What harsh words. Hey, how about you came on Halloween to my house before my shift starts? Then I show you a real vampire."

"You can never compare to Edwin. So do not make me laugh. Hahaha."

Lincoln flinches as always when he hears his sister's abnormal 'laugh.'

Lincoln is sound asleep thanks to his lovely sisters. This time he lies between Lola and Lana.

The young boy finds himself in a house in a gothic-like style.

"That is new. D? D, where are you?" calls Lincoln out for his, literal, lover of his dreams.

"Here I am, my love," says D, as she comes into the room.

Lincoln was surprised. She has changed her appearance. Her skin is still as pale as it can be for a living person. Her hair has turned into long flowing straight and black hair. Her dress has become a black hobble dress, tightly form-fitting.

"Wow. You're as beautiful as the first day I met you, Querida," Lincoln says.

He was wondering why he said that. As he looked down at himself, he noticed that he also has changed.

A look in the mirror showed that his hair now is sports slicked-back but still has his prominent cowlick and white color, and he also has a pencil-thin mustache. He's wearing a chalk-striped, dark-colored suit and tie.

He looks back at D with a slightly questioning look.

"I thought since Halloween is around the corner..."

Lincoln chuckles. "Interesting taste. Well, then come here, you perfect example of beauty," he says to her and stretches his hand out for her.

She goes gracefully to him, and as soon as she puts her hand into his, he pulls her with a spin closer to him.

D looks lovingly into his eyes. "Oh, my darling. You make me go crazy."

"That is based on reciprocity."

Out of nowhere begins music to play. Both are looking in the direction from where the music comes and then look back at each other.

"May I ask for that dance?"

"I was hoping you would ask."

The interior of the room itself makes space for them so they can dance.

They danced tango together with passion and fire. And every little movement of D. made Lincoln crazier and crazier for her.

Finally, the day had come. It is Halloween. All the kids around the town are excited, and so is Lucy.

"I'm curious what exactly he is planing right now," thinks Lincoln out loud.

"Whatever it is, he never will change my mind about VoM nor my beloved Edwin. Eh, b-but you are still my number one, Lincy," Lucy answers.

He laughs about her shyly state at the end. "Don't worry, Luc. I understand that with Edwin. Many people have a crush on the character of a show or so."

"Has you?"

"Oh, eh..." he scratches the back of his head. "Well, I am a little nerd, after all. And I hadn't met one that hasn't a so-called 'waifu or husbando.'"

"Can I know who she is?"

"May-maybe another time." Lincoln takes his phone out of his pocket. "He had written to me that we can simply enter his house. It isn't locked."

"His luck that this neighborhood is pretty safe."

As they arrive at his home, Lincoln opens the door for Lucy and after her, he enters the house too.

"I never was inside of his home before. It looks a bit... empty."

"Eh, Li-Lincoln," says Lucy while she pulls at his sleeve.

As he looks in the same direction as his sister, he sees him.

In an armchair sits Isaac. His head rests on his wrist, and in his other hand, he holds a glass with a red liquid. Maybe wine, but so early in the morning?

His hair is white like Lincoln's, and he also has a white mustache and goatee. He wears a black, luxurious-looking coat that is red on the inside. Underneath it a black vest with golden decorations on it, holding firm to his body with some sort of red belt. And some knee-high boots, also in black.

Both are surprised, especially Lucy. But Lincoln recognizes Isaac's appearance and takes a step forward.

"Die monster. You don't belong in this world!"

Lucy looked confused at her brother.

Isaac opens his eyes, who are glowing red, and is looking right at the young boy in front of him. "It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute."

"Tribute!? You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!"

"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions..."

"Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!"

"What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets." Then Isaac stands up from his chair, rising to full height. "But enough talk... Have at you!"

Now that he stands, Lucy can see that he also wears a cape, as black as his coat on one side and red on the other.

Lincoln laughs, "Well, not bad. Could have guessed that you do something like that."

"Thanks. Nice that you have played along. So, little miss queen of spooks. What do you say?"

Lucy just stands there, looking Isaac up and down. She hadn't aspect that.

Why does he look so good? Why does the white hair make him so god damn handsome? It is hard to resist him. Do... do I really have a thing for him? And why is he making such an effort to impress me so much? He even uses colored contact lenses.

"Hello? Are you there? Earth to Lucy," Isaac says to her as she doesn't answer.

"Huh? Wha-what? Oh, sorry. Y-yeah. You do not look that bad. But still, no match for my Edwin." Lucy turns around to hide her blush. It feels like she is burning like crazy so that even her hair wouldn't hide it anymore.

"If you say so. Anyway, I need to get ready for my shift. Do you want me to drop you at your home, or do you want to come with me to the cafe?"

"Are you going to work like this?"

"Yeah, it is Halloween, remember? Everyone there is in costume."

"Really? Man, I need to see that. Do you want to see that too, Lucy?"

"Eh, y-yeah. That sounds like fun."

Isaac drives them to the Black Coffee.

"This is a pretty impressive costume. I bet everyone will look at you tonight."

"Oh, no, Lincoln. This isn't my costume for the party. I just wanted to show your sister how a real vampire should look like. I'll change to my real costume before I pick you guys up."

"I have thought to use contact lenses too, you know? Does it hurt to get them on your eyes?"

"I don't use contact lenses."

Lucy looks baffled at his driving seat from the back. "B-but your eyes."

"I asked your sister Lisa for that."

"Lisa?"

"Do you remember, Lincoln? One of her serums had made her eyes glowing all red. I have asked her if she could manage to change that, so it only would make my iris red. It is temporary. They should be normal again in a few hours."

As they arrive, Lincoln sees that Isaac hasn't lied. All the employees are in costumes. Even the owner is dressed like a werewolf.

As Isaac enters his workplace, both are looking at each other.

"Well, that is unfortunate," Isaac simply says.

"Why is it unfortunate?" asks Lincoln.

"Lincoln, please. Vampires and werewolves are long-sworn enemies. Even you should know that," explains his younger sister to him.

The owner just smiles at them. "A vampire, working for a werewolf. We're living in some interesting times, aren't we?"

Is the old geezer really mocking 'me'?

Lucy is looking around in the cafe. There are decorations all around. The place feels exactly how she thinks Halloween should feel.

"It's pretty cool what you've made with the place, Sir."

"Thank you, young men. What kind of gothic cafe would it be when we don't take everything that this day is offering to us?"

Lucy is pulling at Lincoln's shirt. "I think this is the best Halloween of my entire life."

Lincoln chuckles, "Yeah, I can see how happy that day makes you this year. And that makes me happy."

As evening comes, Lincoln and his younger sisters get ready as it knocks at their door.

"Yeah?" says Lori as she opens the door and sees Isaac. "Oh, it's you. Didn't Lincoln said that you're going later to that party?"

"Yeah, but I got bored at home, so I thought I can spend some time with the little guy. Oh, hello, little one."

As Lily had heard that Isaac was at the door, she wanted to say hello to him but got frozen as quickly as she saw him.

Isaac was dressed in a steampunk-esque ensemble. His face painted to look like some sort of animatronic. As he greeted Lily, he also moved like one.

But that scared her, so she was hiding behind Lori.

Isaac's face turned from a creepy smile into a sad face. "I'm sorry, Lily. I didn't want to scare you."

"Y-you didn't scare me. I, I just was... I didn't want to interrupt your conversation, that's all."

"How polite from you," says Lori. "When you're already here, come in."

Isaac enters the house and can now look at the costume of young Lily.

Her head is covered in some sort of a white hood with rabbit-like ears on top. To that, she wears a teal blue shirt with elbow-length sleeves, a dark blue skirt, and over-the-knee socks with two thin, light blue horizontal stripes at the top, and black Mary Jane shoes. On her back is she carrying a green backpack.

"This is a really cool costume, Lily. It suits your cute personality very well."

Lily giggles, "Thank you, Isaac."

"Oh, hey, Isaac. How's it hanging?" greets him Luan from the stairs.

"Hey—" Isaac stopped as he sees her.

She had just bandages loosely around her body.

"Is that your costume?" Isaac asks her, baffled.

"Oh, no. I was told to be a bit more mature, so I'm trying to be a mummy. Get it?"

She laughs like it was the best joke she had made in her life, but Isaac just stood there.

After some seconds, he shakes his head. "What the f?"

"Aw, come on. That wasn't that bad of a joke."

"No, no. That joke was so good, it knocked me out for a second. But do you really want to walk around your brother like this?"

Luan looks confused at Isaac. "I don't know what you mean." But as she looks down at herself, she notices that some of the bandages were a bit too loose and revealed a lot of her belly.

She blushes and runs back to her room.

"Geez, this girl," Lori says. "You can wait in the living room for Linky."

"Thanks. By the way, aren't you going to a party today?"

Lori doesn't wear a costume, so he presumes she is staying home.

"Yeah, I'm not in the mood for it. There is some stuff I have to think of."

"Well, that's a bummer."

As he enters the living room, another of the Louds is noticing him.

It is Lucy who is dressed like an undead or demonic dog. As she sees him she jumps up from the couch.

"Human, kneel down before me, for I am the master of all demons, bringer of destruction, and harbinger of chaos. I am your king."

It was hard for Isaac not to laugh. But he wanted to play with her, so he knelt before her.

As he does that, she laughs more or less maniacally. Well, she tries to, but with her typical lack of emotions in her voice, it just sounded weird.

"Where is the rest of you? The kids out there are already trick-or-treating."

"Here we are," answers Lincoln as he, his younger sisters, and Clyde are coming down the stairs.

Lincoln and Clyde are, probably for the last time, dressed as Ace Savvy and One-eyed Jack.

Lana wears a pink body-suit which' belly part is a bit paler. Over that, she wears a dark forest green hat with light green goggles and a sleeveless jacket paired with black shorts.

Lola is dressed in a sea-green short-sleeved dress with a white collar, white lace on the sleeves and skirt, and a cute pink octopus on the front. She also wears pink and orange leggings, dark magenta boots with a rhino design, and a little yellow star-shaped side bag with a face. Instead of her usual tiara on her head is this time a headband with small devil horns.

And Lisa is dressed like a very messy professor. Her usual wig was traded with a blue and spiky one.

Lucy jumps off the couch and to the group.

"Okay, are you girls ready to get a lot of candies?" Lincoln asks, excited to which all of his younger siblings and even Clyde replies with a loud "Yeah!"

"Do you wanna come with us, Isaac?"

"I don't want to be in the way while you spend time with your sisters and best friend."

"Pretty please, Isaac," Lily says with big puppy eyes.

"Oh, geez. How could I say no to this?"

"Yeah." Lily jumps happily around.

"She knows how to get what she wants," tells Lori.

"I wonder who she could get this from."

The eight of them go out to collect as many candies as they can.

Lily, in particular, is excited to go with her older brother and Isaac.

Thanks to their adorableness, the girls manage to gather a lot of sweet treats.

Some people also get creeped out about Isaac's act as an animatronic.

Overall, it is a very successful Halloween this year for the Loud kids.

"I have to say you know how to be scary, Isaac. Your movements look so real as if you were actually an animatronic," says Clyde to the tall guy.

"I have watched a lot of videos on the internet about those things to get it right. You know, when it's about movement, I have some sort of sixth sense."

"What does that mean?"

"I have very strong muscle memory. If I practicing specific movements, it saves that knowledge, so it becomes more natural to me."

"Is that the reason that you can play bass that good?" inquiries Lincoln.

"Yeah, I play more after memory as the music itself. So I can better concentrate on the lyrics."

"This is really cool, Isaac," says Lily, who gets a piggyback ride from Isaac again.

As they arrive back home, Lori prepares herself for Lisa and her sugar rush.

"You know, Isaac. I think you would make a great father," notes Lincoln.

"Where does that come from now?"

"I have watched you and Lily. I know it is impossible to be all hard and tough around her. But it looked like you had really enjoyed the time with her."

"I have to admit, she knows how to push the right buttons. Anyway, time to change so we can go. I'm curious what Leni had made for all of you guys."

"On it," Lincoln says and goes with Clyde up to change their costumes.

While Isaac is waiting, Lynn is approaching him.

"This is a really good idea," she says quietly to him.

"What do you mean?"

"The party. There are probably a lot of girls. Should be easy to find someone for Stinkin there."

"Oh, right, right. Finding a new girlfriend for your brother. Of course, that was my plan all along."

Lynn squints her eyes. "You better not mess this up, man. It's very important to get him away from u—I mean, to make him happy again."

"Don't worry, number two. I have everything under control."

"Number two!?"

Before Lynn was able to rip Isaac's head off comes Luna and Luan down.

"We are here to finish our robbery."

Luna is dressed in a black, old-fashioned suit with a flower at the revers, a purple shirt underneath it, lavender pants with black vertical stripes, and black and white shoes. Rounded up with a black and purple fedora. With her attire, she looks like a mafioso.

Luan, on the other hand, wears a yellow dress that also looked like it is from the same time as Luna's style. Around her neck was a pearl necklace and at her wrists some fancy bracelets.

Both also looked like they were shot in a big gunfight and had returned from the dead.

"Oh, I get it. You two are Connie and Blyde, the legendary criminal couple. Cool idea."

"Well, if you think we're looking great, wait till you see Linky."

And as if they had announced him, he and his friend Clyde are coming down the stairs.

Both also wear fine, black suits and black and white fedoras on top of their heads. They look like they are the mafia bosses himself.

Like his sisters, Lincoln looks like he got murdered too. On shot right in the head with some fake blood coming down from under his fedora. And another hole right where his heart is.

Clyde, on the other hand, has a bloody ax sticking in his back.

"Man, there wanted someone to be absolutely sure that you stay dead."

"Unfortunately for them, I've had come back," Lincoln answers with an attempted to sound like a real mafia boss.

"And me too," adds Clyde.

"Good, then there is only Leni misssssing..."

Everyone in the room is awestruck when they see Leni.

She wears an extravagant dress in her most beloved color. It was slightly transparent at some points but still hides everything that is needed to be hidden. She was looking like a show dancer from the night clubs in the 20/30s. And to match the theme, it looked like someone had cut her throat.

"Wow, Leni. You look beautiful," says Lincoln to her, which makes her blush.

"Aw, you. Thank you, Linky," she answers seductively. But not that much. It still is Leni we're talking about.

Luna had to actually hold herself back. If she met Leni as a stranger at this party like that, she would consider flirting with her.

Also, Isaac was a bit speechless, seeing Leni like this.

"Eh, okay, guys," he says, a bit dumbfounded. After shaking his head, he continued. "Are you all ready to go to the party?"

"Oh yeah," said all, and they made their way to Isaac's car.

"Hm. We are a bit much for my car," noticed Isaac.

"If we ask, maybe we can borrow our van," Leni suggests.

"Dude, do you see the van around here?" says Luna to make Leni clear it isn't there.

"Oh, no. Someone carnapped Vanzilla."

"Leni, mom, and dad had driven to a party too. That's why it isn't here."

"Oh, right. Well, then how about Linky is sitting on my lap for the ride?"

Isaac sighs, "I don't like that, but it looks like we have no other option."

"I know you're a good driver, Isaac," Lincoln tells him.

With that saddled, puts Luna her guitar in the trunk and all go in the car, then they drive off.

Luna was a bit envious that she hadn't the idea of Lincoln sitting on her lap. And he looked like he was enjoying it. Well, considering how hot Leni looks in her dress, Luna would enjoy it too.

They arrive at the old, abandoned warehouse. Loud music can be heard, and flashy lights come out of the building. Many costumed people are walking towards it.

"Holy cow, look at that. It is impressive," says Luan, amazed.

"Looks like we're the first one. Your people know where this place is?" asks Isaac Luna.

"Yeah, I have given them the instructions you have given me."

"All right, then let us wait for them. I also should mention that this party is—"

As Isaac wanted to tell, comes another van near them. Out of it comes Sam to greet her best friend.

"Hey, dude. Man, that place is rad."

Then, Sully and Mazzy come out of it too. And from the driver's seat comes a big, bulgy, and bald guy.

"Man, that's a cool location you have found, Luv," the guy says.

"That's thanks to Isaac here."

"'Sup. And who are you? Luna had told me her band has four, not five members."

"Nice da meet ya, pal. Name's Chunk. I'm their roadie."

"Ah, the invisible member in the background. Could have figured it out myself."

"Hey, guys," greets Lincoln the three.

"Hey, little dude. Thanks for bringing us here," greets Sully back.

"Don't thank me. It was Isaac's offer."

"Well, then. Thank you, mate."

"I'm curious how Luna is performing with her band. So I had to give you guys this opportunity. Also, it's kinda funny."

"What do you mean?"

"My band and I also have a costume theme. I thought that would just be with Luna and her siblings. But how I see are you some Mafiosi too."

"Sam came up with the idea, and we thought 'yeah, why not?'"

"I'm also pretty curious of you guys. Luna had told me how good you are as a singer and with your bass," tells Sam Isaac.

"Too bad that I have to disappoint you."

"What?" asks Lincoln a bit shocked. "But I thought you guys would play tonight too."

"Oh, don't worry. We're playing. But this time, I'm at the drums. Ellie wanted to be the center of our show this time. So I'm not allowed to steal her the show."

"Seriously, dude. Is there something you can't do?" says Luna surprised.

"Give birth to a child," he answers with a shrug. "Ah, finally. There they come," Isaac says as he recognized the next car.

"Well, then can the party finally start," Mazzy says with raised arms.

"Linky!" screams Ellie happily while running to him.

With a big swing, she grabs him, twirls a few times, and hug him very tightly. His face, buried in her bosom.

Leni wasn't that happy to see another girl taking her Linky away. But she can't just tell her to keep the fingers off her Lincoln.

"H-hey, Ellie. Great to see you that happy." His face was red like a tomato.

"Aw, look at you." She let him down again and straightened his suit. "You look so fine and manly in this suit."

"Thanks, my sister Leni had made it," he tells her while pointing with his thumb behind him at Leni.

"Oh, wow. That dress is courageous. I have heard what a great fashionista you are, but man, I hadn't thought you're that good."

"Thank you. I had worked long on it. I hope I don't take away the show from you, as Isaac said."

Isaac sighs, "Very smoothly, Leni."

Everyone laughs about that.

"And you look great too, Sam. I like that style."

Isaac, Lincoln, and Luna look surprised and ask in unison, "You know each other?"

"Yeah, we were in the same elementary school. I had bumped into her a few weeks ago."

"Why do I have a bad feeling about that," Isaac says.

"Probably because you're just grumpy as always. Do we want to go in there or what?"

"All right, guys. I'll pick you up again after the party. Just give me a call," Chunk says after he had given them their instruments.

Everyone gathers their stuff together, and then they make their way to the building.

"Logan? You're one of the security guys here?" asks Lincoln the young man in front of the entrance.

"Hey, Lincoln. Yeah, I keep everything clean here. So let's see. We have you, Luna Loud, Sam Sharp..."

He is reading all the names from a list to see that all are allowed to come in.

"And Clyde McBride? Wait." He looks around and sees the young Afro-American boy. "It's really you. I had no idea you and Lincoln are friends."

"Nice to see you again, Logan. How little the world is, am I right?"

"You know him, Clyde?" asks Lincoln, confused.

"Yeah, from some festivals, my dads are going with me."

"Had never thought they would let you go to a party like this."

"Oh, you know my dads. They are worried to no end. But they trust Lincoln and his sisters, so they allowed it."

"Yeah. Say hi to them from me. So, you all can come in. If there is a problem just go to one of the security guys. Anyway, have fun."

"Thanks, man. We'll see each other next week in the woods again?"

"Definitely."

"Oh, so he is from your group too," says Luna.

As she looks back, she notices that he's watching them go.

"Eh, I think he is checking one of us out."

"He is probably staring at my butt again," says Isaac like it is nothing.

"Yeah, sure. You have a lot of confidence to say something like that with so many good looking girls around you," Sam remarks back.

"No, Isaac is right. Logan is gay," explains Lincoln.

"Really? Oh."

"Yeah. He had tried a few times to hit on me. What can I say? I'm stunning."

In the warehouse is the party already in full swing, people dancing or standing at the side, chatting with each other or drinking.

Here and there are some makeshift bars. And a little bit more at the other end of the big room is a stage with a band already performing.

There is no way to quell my desire

The energy inside the void

The fire

"Ooh, I love them," Isaac says and begins to dance to the music.

"Wow, someone here is in a really good mood."

"Nice moves, man."

Cast down from the skies

Carrying the weight of the world's despise

A downfall made me see

This hole gave birth to the preacher in me

Lincoln is watching the performance.

The singer is wearing a black mask with rivets and is moving elegantly and erotically to the music.

"Man, she is really good."

"Yeah, only that this she is actually a he," explains Ellie.

"Wait, what? For real?"

"Well, biologically. Don't tell me Isaac didn't tell you this is an LGBTQ party."

"Oh. Yeah, sorry. I wanted to tell you guys at the parking lot. I mean, you have no problem with that, or am I wrong?"

"No, of course not. We're all open-minded, right guys?" says Sully.

Everyone gives their confirmation.

"And you're still sure that you're not gay?" asks Sam mockingly.

"Maybe I was a girl before. That would mean being gay makes me straight."

"That isn't how it works, but anyway. You're clearly a guy. But shouldn't we at first bring our stuff somewhere? We can't drag it all the time with us."

"Yeah. Follow me."

While they go to bring their stuff 'backstage,' someone is calling for Luan.

As she turns around to look who it is, she was surprised.

"Maggie? What are you doing here?"

"The same could I ask you. My cousin wanted to come to this party, and since he was supposed to take care of me tonight, he had dragged me with him."

"Your cousin? Is... is he?"

"He still is going through the process to make himself into a guy. And how come that you're on an LGBTQ party?"

"Well, Isaac had invited my brother, and he had invited me. But we hadn't no idea that it would be this. We thought it is a normal Halloween party. Not that I might have a problem with that."

"Oh, so this asshole is here too? What does a guy like him do here?"

"Well, he is playing with his band. My sister Luna too. Also, Isaac isn't that bad. You just need to know him better. After all, he kept our secret."

"Whatever. Do you wanna dance?"

"Eh, s-sure. I would love to. Just let me—aaahhh."

Luan got grabbed by her wrist, and Maggie dragged her on the dance floor.

It was a bit strange for Luan to dance with Maggie at a place with so many people. But here is no one who would judge them. They all are not that different like out there. So she begins to let loose and enjoy the night.

"So, Isaac. Just that I get this right. Everyone here is homosexual, or transgender or so?" Lincoln asks.

"Not everyone. Most of them, yeah. But there are also people like me who treat those people right and support them. Here they can be who they really are."

"That is cool. I knew you're a good person."

"That's what I always say," adds Leni to the conversation.

"Nah, I just like it when people 'sin.' So, just have fun. Here, no one will hurt you."

"That is cool and stuff, but what if this Damien fellow knows about the party? I mean, it also is still a Halloween party. So he can wear a mask," says Luna, concerned.

"You have seen it yourself. They have lists with names on it. And everyone with masks has to show his face. So should he truly find this place and try to come in, the security is nailing him down and then they call the cops. Does this ease you?"

"Yeah. Sorry, I don't want to ruin this night for you guys."

"Hey, it's okay. You're my sister, of course, you're worried about me."

"I told your dad that I'll keep you all safe. And when I promise something, I'll keep it till the bitter end."

"Thank you, Isaac. That means a lot to me."

"Looks like Luna and that Isaac is pretty good friends already," says Sully to Sam.

"Yeah. But she can make friends very quickly."

A young woman comes to them. "All right, guys. There are still some bands before you. So you can go and have some fun. We call you back when it's your turn. Isaac, your band comes sometime after your friends, just that you know."

"Okay, thanks. Well then, let us— Eh, where is Luan?"

Everyone is looking around to notice that Luan isn't with them anymore.

"I think I found her," said Clyde as he was looking at the dance floor.

"Well, look at this. That was quick, sis."

"Oh, that's Maggie. Luan's... eh, you know."

"Oh, that is Maggie. Not bad. They look cute together."

"Whoa. Is Luan a lesbian?" asks Sam as she sees the two too.

"Oh shit, I forgot. Eh, guys, could you please not make a big fuzz out of it? She is a bit..."

"Don't worry, mate. It's totally cool," says Sully to Luna.

"Yeah, man," adds Mazzy.

Isaac chuckles a bit. "Hadn't known that her girlfriend is here too."

"Wait, you know about them?"

"Saw them together after protecting Luan from this bully. At least she lets loose and is who she is."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing." Isaac goes back into the big room and straight to one of those 'bars.'

"Come on, guys. Let us have some fun. This is a party, after all," Mazzy says and drags Sully with her to rock to the music.

"She is right. Let us have fun," says Lincoln. He then comes closer to Luna. "And maybe that's your chance with Sam."

"Dude!" says Luna and blushes.

"Man, I'm a bit nervous," says Sam. "Just look at how many people are here. My throat becomes all dry of a sudden. Come, Luna. Let us grab something to drink too."

The two girls are following Isaac.

"Hey, dude. What are you drinking there?"

"That stuff is called Mead."

"Mead? What exactly is that?"

"It is honey-wine," the guy behind the bar tells them. "It's often associated with Vikings."

"So there is alcohol here. Is this really okay? I don't think that most here are twenty-one already."

"We don't believe that you're underage with sixteen years. Also, we're watching that no one is drinking too much."

"If you want to try that stuff, I'll treat you to a glass."

"Are you trying to make us drunk, so you have it easier with us?" Sam says more jokingly.

The guy laughs. "He? Trying something like that? Maybe in another universe. Isaac here is the most asexual guy I have ever seen."

"I'm still here, dude. So do you want to try it?"

"You know what? Why the heck not. Give me something from that honey," Luna says, confident.

The guy puts two glasses on the table and fills them with Mead, and Isaac pays for it.

Lincoln, Clyde, and Leni are still flashed from everything. The music, the lights, and all those different people in their costumes.

Leni gets told all the time what a beautiful dress she wears. And if Lincoln wasn't there, she would keep telling every one of them how long she sat at it.

"Man, some girls here are truly something," says Clyde while looking around.

"What happened with Lori?" Lincoln asks slightly sarcastically. Heck, Isaac really is rubbing off on me.

"I don't know. Maybe you're right, and I should start to look somewhere else."

"Well, I don't hold you back. But don't get us kicked out, okay?"

He takes the opportunity and goes with Ellie, who is saying hi to some people she knows.

"So, we're finally alone, Linky," says Leni. Again, trying to sound seductive.

"Yeah, looks like it. Eh, do... do you wanna dance?"

"Oh, Linky. I got worried you never would ask."

Leni doesn't hesitate and drags her little brother on the dance floor.

"You know, Leni. I can't shake the feeling off that there is something on your mind."

"You always notice when something is bothering me. That shows how much you're caring for me."

"Of course I do. You're my sister. And even you're older than me, I'm still always there for you."

"I have always loved that about you. And your white hair, your cute bucktooth, your freckled face. I just love everything about you."

"Wow, Leni. Thank you. I also love everything about you. I always have."

"Really, Linky?"

"Of course. I love all my sisters the way they are."

"Oh... Y-yeah, right."

"Is... is everything all right? Have I said something wrong?"

"No, no. It's all good. Just let us have fun." Why was I so stupid? Of course, he just loves me as his sister. He would never see me as I see him.

"You know. I always thought that you're one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. But tonight, with this dress. I can't find words to describe how beautiful you are."

Leni blushes intensely. "Oh, Linky."

"Hey. Eh, Ellie, was it?" Clyde asks a bit shyly.

"Yeah? Do you need anything?"

"I... I was wondering if you might introduce me to some of the ladies here."

She giggles. "Looking for a girlfriend?"

"Well, it would be nice to finally have one."

"Oh, you hadn't a girlfriend before?"

"Not really. I have some female friends, and there was this one girl. But it hadn't worked. Probably because I have a crush on..."

"On who? Come on, tell me. Can't be that bad. It isn't like you want to date one of Linky's sisters."

Clyde laughs nervously and scratches the back of his head. "Well, funny that you say that."

"Really? Which one?"

"L-Lori. His oldest sister."

"Haven't met her yet. Is she that good looking?"

"She is a goddess," he tells Ellie, love-struck.

"How cute. But it isn't your fault to fall in love with the sister of your best friend. You hadn't chosen to have a crush on her."

"You're right. Things like that happen. But she already has a boyfriend."

Linky hadn't told me that it's now five sisters. "Well, if you really want to find someone new, I can introduce you to some friends. But I tell you, it would be a bit difficult to find someone here. Also, some of the girls here might have a little surprise in their panties, if you know what I mean."

"Yeah, I know. Isn't the first time for me."

"Oh, right. You have two dads."

"Yes. I was adopted. But my dads do everything to make me happy. I really love them. They help out a lot at LGBTQ festivals and so."

"That is pretty cool. Okay, then let us look for some nice girls for you, should we?"

"Tell me, Isaac. How does it come that you got invited to an LGBTQ party?" Sam asks.

"It's the typical story. I had helped out the person who is making this party without knowing who it was. I showed that I'm not that big of an asshole as some might think, and the rest is history."

"Well, I can confirm that you're not an asshole. You helped my sisters and Lincoln, you had kept Luan's secret for yourself, and you don't show any sign that those people around here are a problem for you. You're a really fine dude," Luna says. It looks like she isn't taking that one glass that easy.

"You're already drunk? It was just one glass and it wasn't even the hard stuff."

"I'm not drunk. I'm just having fun."

"You can still have fun, but don't forget we have still to perform up there," reminds Sam her friend.

"Don't worry, we have something for that case. I take care of her, while you have your own fun."

"I would feel better when I stay with her."

"All right, be my guest."

Isaac goes with the two girls outside so Luna could take some fresh air.

"Here, eat some bread. It soaks the wine in your stomach up."

"Damn, Isaac. That quickly?" says Logan.

"It was just one glass mead. I had no idea she takes it that bad."

"Well, not everyone has a liver like you, man. At least it's just a little bit and not full-on drunk."

Since it is Isaac's fault, he takes care of her. Watching over her, giving her some bread, and make sure that she gets well again.

Sam was a bit disturbed that he knows so much about being drunk but was also impressed by how he takes care of the situation.

"Ah, there you are, Mags. Oh, and who are you?" asks a young feminine looking boy.

"Hey, I'm Luan. I presume you're Maggie's cousin."

"Oh my god, you're Luan? It is nice to finally meet you. Mags tells me so much about you."

"She does?"

"Oh, yeah. And when she begins, she gets all lovie-dovie."

"Shut up! Just go somewhere else and embarrass your friends and not me!"

Maggie's cousin laughs. "Well, it was nice, Luan. Later."

"Your cousin is nice."

"Annoying is the word I would use."

Maggie was all red, and Luan was twiddling her fingers.

"So, is it true? Do you tell her—I mean, him. Sorry..."

"It's okay." She sighs. "Yeah, I... I tell him a lot about me. Things I may not be able to tell my mom."

"Why not? I think your mom is a nice person."

"Have you told your mom that you fuck another girl?"

Luan got caught. "W-well... I wouldn't phrase it like that. But... yeah, I haven't told her so far."

"See? Who knows how our mothers would react."

"Maggie. What exactly are we?"

"What do you mean?"

"Are we just two girls who try new stuff? Are we a couple, or what?"

"Where did that come from?"

"I think a lot about us... about me. How I feel, or what I really want."

"Okay, you lost me. What are you saying, Luan?"

"Maggie. I... I don't know what I want. I think I want to become closer to you. But I'm still not sure if I'm a lesbian or bi, or if this all might be just a phase and one day I'm straight. I don't want to hurt you. And I don't want to get hurt."

Maggie just looks at Luan. After her eyes had blinked several times, she finds her words.

"Wow. I had no idea that this is so complicated."

"What do you mean, you had no idea? Aren't you going through the same stuff?"

"Not really. As I had seen you in your mimic costume at my party, it was clear to me. I like girls. I never understood what others loved about dicks. It just had made click in my head, and I understood. I'm a lesbian. I thought it was the same for you."

"Geez, I wish it would be that simple. But it isn't."

"Luan." Maggie gently puts her hand on Luan's shoulder. "If you still need to find out who you are, then do it."

"But what if—"

"What if. What if. When we all ask ourselves that over and over again, we just go crazy. The door to my room will always be open for you. No matter if your a lesbian, bi, or straight. Well, with the last we can't have fun anymore. But we still can be friends and hanging around. You're one of the few that manage to make me smile."

"Man, you really are one of the coolest people I've ever met."

"Phew. Never thought that my first drink would be like that," says Luna while still sitting outside with Isaac and Sam.

"Good, I haven't ordered some of the hard stuff. But hey, your first time was way better than mine."

"How was your first time drinking?" asks Sam.

Isaac laughs, "Everything was spinning around me, I wasn't able to speak one clear sentence, and in the end, I had thrown up breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

"That sounds awful. Why should someone do this to himself?"

"Because teenagers are assholes, and normally no one is warning you about that. Sometimes you just learn the hard way. So I wanted to spare you from that experience."

Logan grabs for his radio. "Yeah, they are with me... All right, I'll tell them. Yo, guys. I hope your okay again because after the band that is playing now, your next."

"Thank you, mate. Let us go backstage then."

"You sure you're ready for this, Luns?"

"Yeah, I feel good again, thanks to Isaac."

They go to make themselves ready, and after the band is leaving the stage, Luna and her friends are going on it.

The others are right in front of it, and Lincoln cheers for Luna.

"All right, folks. Normally we would rock the house. But today we're giving a different show. I hope you all enjoy it none the less."

And it truly was different. Fitting with their costumes, they played swing instead of rock.

I just want you here

Like it was 1941

Play that silky tune

And let me show you how to love

Lincoln and his sisters were surprised about that. But not as much as Isaac. He looked utterly shocked that they were playing electro-swing.

But what had given him the rest was Luna's movements. Or to be more precise her hip.

I can't get enough

Well why dont you show me how to swing?

Music turning up

Follow the beat and let it ring

Follow the beat...

Follow the beat and let it ring

Follow the beat...

Follow the beat and let it ring

(Bring that beat back)

Fitting to the beat was Luna rocking her ass back and forth. Lincoln and Isaac were absolutely speechless. Their chin dropped all the way down, and their pupils were clued to Luna's butt.

It was clear, those hips don't lie.

I'll bring the Cadillac if you bring the Rum

I wanna party like its 1941

Sippin on Cognac, we're swinging for fun

I wanna party like its 1941

Feet always tappin'

Fires a-burnin'

The crowd is a-jumpin'

Roof overflowing

The crowd is roaring

The men always scoring

I'll bring the Cadillac if you bring the Rum

I wanna party like its 1941

Sippin on Cognac, we're swinging for fun

I wanna party like its 1941

I'll bring the Cadillac if you bring the Rum

I wanna party like its 1941

Sippin on Cognac, we're swinging for fun

I wanna party like its 1941

Everyone was thrilled about their performance. All were cheering, except for Lincoln and Isaac, who were still out of words.

They played another song, and with all the cheering, Luna got more confident and was moving even sexier than before. Especially after she had noticed how Lincoln was looking at her.

But those two weren't the only ones that looked like they caught some fire from Luna's performance.

Some big sweat drops were rolling down on Sam's forehead.

After they finished their last song, Luna and her band are leaving the stage for the next one.

Leni wanted to go backstage to congratulate her sister, but Lincoln and Isaac were still frozen in place. And Luan also wasn't able to move anymore because her legs had become a bit weak.

Since they hadn't come to Luna, she goes to them, finding the two boys still like statues.

She laughs about their faces. "Come on, guys. It wasn't that good."

"Luna, let the jokes to me. You were freaking awesome! And very hot too," says Luan to her, the last part more whispering.

"Thanks, sis. And what do you say, Linky?"

Finally, he gets out of his state. "Eh, you, you were stunning, Luna."

"Yeah, have noticed that," she laughs.

"Oh, that pun was not intended. But seriously, you guys had given all a great show." I don't think I get that butt out of my head that quickly.

"I was surprised that you guys tried something like that instead of your typical style," it finally comes from Isaac.

"Hey, look who is back from the dead," remarks Ellie mockingly.

"That all, including the costumes, were Sam's idea."

"Well, actually it was Ellie's," Sam explains.

"I knew it is bad that you know her."

"Aw, come on, Isaac. You should have seen your face. I think it was a successful surprise."

"Wait a minute? Now I don't understand anything."

"I know one of Isaac's little secrets. He loves electro-swing. And after what Sam had told me about their meeting, I had an idea."

"What the fuck, Ellie? What did you think you were doing?"

"Aw, come on. You finally get interested in someone. I just wanted to help you a bit."

"Wait, wait, wait? What are you talking about?" asks Luna, confused.

"He had asked me out about you. It's quite obvious that he has a crush on you."

"What? I thought you two are dating each other."

"We? Dating? How did you get that idea?"

"Sully told me about you two at Burpin' and how much you two have laughed together. So, I thought you two were on a secret date or so. I know that your story about you two had met was made-up."

"Girls, please. I'm not interested in one of you. Not in Sam and not in you too, Luna. I just..."

"But what is it then?"

"I already explained it to Sam." Isaac sighs and grabs his head. "This all is giving me a headache. I need a drink."

Annoyed, walks Isaac away from the group.

"What the heck was that?"

"I don't know, Luan. I'll talk with him. You all stay here."

Lincoln runs after Isaac.

"Man, shit. I really messed it up. Sam had told me about Isaac, and I said that I know him."

"So, I told her about the meeting and how he was asking me out about you, Luns."

"Oh. And I thought you were on a date with him. You two had laughed so much like you and Luna," explains Sully.

"We were talking about Luna and Lincoln and how they drive us crazy from time to time. I was laughing because of the good memories I have shared about Luna."

Luna blushed a bit as she hears how much her secret crush is cherishing their shared memories.

"So, to make things clear. Sam and Ellie thought Isaac has a crush on Luna. Luna and Sully thought he has a crush on Sam. What is this? A soap opera?" summarizes Luan to understand the situation better.

Lincoln is with Isaac at the bar.

"I'm sorry that they thought that you—"

"Why are you apologizing for them? You hadn't anything to do with it. Heck, first, I thought Luna was doing this for you because... well, you know."

"She probably was. I mean, she hadn't any idea about Sam and Ellie's plan too."

Isaac lets out a short laugh, "She has definitely worked hard for you. I bet you will dream from her butt."

"Most likely. Isaac, can I ask you something?"

He just looks from the corner of his eyes at the younger boy beside him. "Depends on what it is."

"Are you jealous of me?"

"Seriously? You too?" Isaac turns to face Lincoln. He looked annoyed but still stays calm. "I'm not interested in a relationship. You know me. I'm an egoist. I just care about myself. I don't have time to try to care for a girlfriend too."

"But you take care of me."

"Yeah, but you can take care of yourself too. You don't need me all the time. We hang out for a couple of hours in the week, and that's it."

"I think you have a strange view of relationships."

"Sure, it isn't your view? Your partners are those you see all the time. Yo, give me another one."

"I don't think you should drink that much so quickly shortly before you have to perform up there," the barkeeper says.

"You know, how well I can take that stuff."

He gives him another drink, and Isaac slams the money on the table.

Isaac empties the small glass with one swift. "You can keep the rest." He turns around, "I go to smoke. And this time I would like to be alone."

"Oh, man. I hadn't seen him like that before. We had a fight once but that."

"Don't worry, little friend. Just give him some space and let him blow up the steam. He can be... difficult from time to time. But he is very loyal. Otherwise, the boss wouldn't have invited him."

"Who exactly is this 'boss?' Whenever someone talks about that person, no one uses the term he. Could it be that this person is a she?"

"You're smart. But please keep that for yourself. There are people out there who would threaten her to make an end to this party for good. That's why we keep her identity a secret."

"I understand. My lips are sealed."

"And? What is now with Isaac?" Luna asks her brother as he comes back to them.

"He is smoking. Just let him cool off, and he comes back again."

"Do you think he is mad at us?"

"Nah, he just is a bit annoyed but not really mad. Eh, Ellie. Can I talk with you for a moment?"

"Sure, what is it?"

Both are going somewhere where they can talk in peace.

"You know that Luna and I are..."

"Yeah, sorry. I thought maybe you're also okay with that. Since Isaac know you he had changed. He is doing so much for us. I just wanted to do something for him too. I should have talked with you first. But I thought that would be a nice surprise for you too."

"Well, it definitely was. And when my sisters are ending up with someone else who is treating them right. I'm totally okay with that. I just was... Say, Ellie. Are you trying to have me just for yourself?"

"What? No! Of course, not. I would never dare to get in the way of you and your sisters."

"Relax, I just was joking. But I'm thinking about that for a while now."

"Th-thinking? About what?" Ellie asks with a light blush on her face.

"That it might be better when my sisters are in relationships other than with me. And I also with someone not related to me. I mean, they can't get children from me."

"You might be right about that. But it is their decision too. I think they know that it will be a bit different with you. But you all love each other, and that is wonderful. Just cherish it as long as it lasts."

Lincoln smiles at her and nods. "You're right."

After a while, Isaac is coming back to the group.

"Hey, guys. Sorry for my behavior. I... I don't know why I had reacted like that."

"Nah, don't sweat it. We should be sorry for just assuming things," says Luna.

"Yeah, you should. But that doesn't justify do be like that. But, Ellie. You should know me better. I'm not the type for relationships."

"I know. But things can change. I just want to make you happy. We're friends, remember?"

"I start to understand how you feel when your sisters are meddling in your life, Lincoln."

"Oh, you have no idea. That was nothing compared to some stuff they had pulled off."

Someone is coming to them. "Hey, Isaac. Your band will be next."

"All right. Thank you. Well then, Ellie. You wanted to impress Lincoln. No backsies now."

"Wha— I never said that I—"

"See that as my revenge."

Together they go to make themselves ready.

"I hope you all are ready to get rocked your socks off. We are the Sinners of Saints!" announces Ellie, and soon after, they begin to play.

We are here to claim the throne

And not a single one of you can hold us down

So step up and face the duce

Expanding vigilante moves will have no use, so listen

You've got no chance to win at all

When you ride amongst self righteous sinners

You, you cheat, you liar

You can't keep this heartbeat down

The hope, the flame, this awful game

The beat indeed is hammering on!

You wanna go? (Too slow)

You're disgusting me

Is this the man and the scene that you swore to be?

You've got the flow? (Oh no)

Praise hypocrisy

You ain't worth shit and can never reach up to me

I'll bear the torch, the spear, the agony

Don't play it tough 'cause we both know that you are scared of me

You wanna go? (Hell no)

Ride your fantasy

You may got there first but you're still a tragic parody

You've got no right to drop the fall

When you've lost against excellent winners

You, you cheat, you liar

You can't keep this heartbeat down

The hope, the flame, this awful game

The beat indeed is hammering on!

You, my friend, my lover

Must fight 'till the end of time

Deny defeat and don't retreat

'cause hearts like that keeps the fire

The song was loud and aggressive. But the crowd liked it.

Ellie made sure to be the center of attention in the show, even so, she just want to get only Lincoln's attention. But all eyes are locked on her.

Only Luna was watching Isaac instead. He played like he was letting out all his frustration on the poor drums. But still, it wasn't offbeat or something. But she thought that something was odd.

You, you cheat, you liar

You can't keep this heartbeat down

The hope, the flame, this awful game

The beat indeed is hammering on!

You, my friend, my lover

Must fight 'till the end of time

Deny defeat and don't retreat

'cause hearts like that keeps the fire (true 'till death)

Before he had started, had Isaac taken off his hat and his hair is covering his face.

So, Luna wasn't able to see his face most of the time. But when she saw his face, she thought that she sees something.

At one point, as they were at their third song, Luna was able to see his face for a longer period of time.

And there she noticed it. His face... he looked angry. Nearly furious about something, but what? Was it what had happened before? Or had something happened as he was alone?

Luna tabs on Lincoln's shoulder, "Hey, Linc!"

"Yeah, what is it!?" he answers as he turns towards her.

They have to nearly shout since the music was so loud.

"Say, did Isaac know about... us?!"

"Yeah, why do you ask?!"

Without answering his question, she looks back at the young man on the drums. Could it be?

At the backstage is Lincoln nearly jumping at Ellie. "You were awesome, Ellie!"

"Thank you, Linky. I was a bit nervous to be the frontwoman this time. But man, that was fun."

"You know how to get the crowd going. Just listen. They still are cheering for you."

"No, Isaac. They cheer for us. We all have rocked as a band. Not only me."

"How about we celebrate our success? I'll buy us a round."

"Maybe I'll sit this one out," Luna says.

The party is still going on, but every good thing has to come to an end. Lincoln and his sisters have to be back home again. And since Isaac is their driver, he has to go with them.

"What a night. I bet no one of us will forget it so soon."

"Definitely not. And next year, we can have this all again."

"Hey, Linky. You can sit on my lap again," says Leni, who is already in the car. "You like to be so close to me, right?"

"Sure. Your lap is comfy. I could... just sleep here... so soft is it..."

And like said, falls Lincoln asleep.

"Aw, he's so cute. Don't worry. Leni is keeping you safe, my little Linky." I will win your heart. I know that you will love me the way I do.

After everyone is in the car, Isaac drops off Clyde first and then the Louds.

And with that, Halloween is going to end.

The idea for Luna's costume came from Sonson-Sensei's picture Mobster on Deviant Art. And Luan's joke to become a mummy is from ItsJumpJump's Mummy Luan also in DA.

Boy, that was a lot of work. But I was able to finish it in time. I hope you like it and it doesn't felt rushed or so.

I wonder if you can find all the references in this chapter. There are quite a bit. I believe one is a bit hard for you, and you also might think in the wrong direction, so here is a little hint. Isaac and his band's costume idea is not based on the FNaF franchise.

Anyway, I will skip next week for a short break. This chapter had taken a lot from me, and also is Watch Dogs out, and I want to play it. So, we'll see us the week after the next.

Stay tuned and have a great day.
