AN: Enjoy!
Wanda continued holding Viv close, until Vision appeared in the doorway.
"Wanda, I have your.." He paused, his heart swelling at the sight of his two precious girls together, and he swallowed a lump in his throat. "I hope I am not interrupting anything."
"Not at all" Wanda smiled at him.
"Daddy, I'm gonna call Wanda 'Mama' now" Viv told him. "Is that okay?"
"Yes" Vision blinked, and he was forced to swallow the stubborn lump a second time. "That's okay."
"Can we watch a movie?"
"Alright" He nodded. "You go pick one."
"Okay" Viv hopped out of Wanda's lap and rushed off.
Vision stood there for a moment, seeming happily stunned. Wanda smirked a little, pointing.
"Is that my tea, Vizh?"
" Oh, yes" He handed her the mug, sitting beside her on Viv's bed. "So.. You girls had your talk, then?"
"We did."
"And Vivian wants to call you .."
"Mama" Wanda smiled softly. "Yes."
"And that is okay with you?" Vision asked gently. "It's not too scary?"
"Maybe a little" she shrugged, sipping her tea. "In a good way, though. I know it's a imens .. huge.. commitment to make to her. But I am ready to make it. I love my fata dulce. She makes me.. well, both of you, actually.. make me better. And I think that maybe Viv needs me the the same way I need the two of you.." Wanda paused for a moment, suddenly seeming a little bit shy. "If that's all okay with you, Vizh."
"Of course it is okay with me" Vision smiled softly, draping an arm around Wanda's shoulders. "Like I have said, this decision was always up to Vivian, and I would never interfere. Having said that, I can tell you with complete confidence that she could not have made a better decision."
"You think so?" Wanda smiled, her eyes sparkling.
"I know so" Vision kissed her, but the moment was interrupted by a little voice calling to them.
"Mama, Daddy, I found a movie!"
"I think we are required" Vision chuckled.
"I think we are" Wanda agreed, grinning, and stood, still cradling her mug of tea.
Vision stood with her, wrapping an arm around her waist and dropping a kiss to the top of her head as they headed out.
They all snuggled on the couch as they watched their movie, Viv in Wanda's lap, and Vision with his arms around them both. However, Vision couldn't help but notice that Wanda was not paying much attention to the film. Her eyes were on Viv, gazing at her in the same way that a new parent would gaze at their newborn child. The sight warmed his heart. As the credits rolled, Viv yawned loudly, and Wanda stood, scooping the little girl into her arms.
"You have had a long day, Fata dulce. Let's get you into bed."
"Okay, Mama" Viv yawned, her arms wrapping around Wanda's neck, letting her carry her to her room.
Vision followed them in a happy little daze. He watched as Wanda helped Viv change into her favourite pyjamas, watched her tuck the little girl into bed, and kiss her goodnight before he stepped forward to do the same. He watched Viv chatter away sleepily, Wanda listening intently, until the little girl drifted off to sleep.
Vision followed Wanda from the room, watching her leave the door open a crack, just as Viv liked it. As completely in love with Wanda Maximoff as Vision had already been, he felt even more in love with her now.
"Would you like me to look at your latest draft now, Vizh?" Wanda asked. "Then I can get onto some new art for you after work tomorrow.."
"Yes, alright" Vision paused, thinking for a moment. "Wanda?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't renew your lease."
"What?" Wanda turned to him, blinking, rather surprised at the abrupt change in topic.
"I'm not telling you what to do" said Vision quickly, blushing. "Ignore me if you wish. It's just, you said your lease on your apartment runs out in a few months, so they'll probably ask you about renewing it soon, and I was just thinking.."
"Thinking what, Vizh?"
"Well.. maybe you don't belong in that apartment anymore. Maybe you belong here, with Vivian and I.. We'd both be very happy to have you, and we have the room. You can share my office for your artwork, or we can turn the spare room into an art studio. It's a storage space at the moment, so we'd have to empty it out, but.."
Vision was nervous, and rambling, so he failed to notice the growing smile on Wanda's face, or that she was moving closer, until she suddenly kissed him, the kind of kiss that left a person breathless, and Vision in slightly stunned but happy silence, a goofy grin on his face.
"Well" Wanda told him, after regaining her own breath, "If I start moving my things in gradually over the next couple of months, I'll avoid a big rush when my lease ends. And I'll just share your office.. That spare room is meant for someone else."
"Oh" Now it was Vision's turn to be confused. Very confused. "So, uh.. who might that be?" He asked, his brow crinkling slightly.
"Oh.." Wanda smiled, a sweet, coy little smile, her green eyes sparkling. "I'm not sure yet.. maybe ask me again in a couple of years, okay?"
"A couple of years?"
"Mmmhm. I think I might be ready by then." Wanda skipped away, happily heading towards Vision's office before he could ask her what, exactly, she thought he might be ready for.
For a while, Vision stared after her retreating form, still horribly confused. But then, slowly, realisation dawned. Vision's eyes lit up, the goofy, happy smile returning to his face once more. Imagined Wanda with a swollen belly. Imagined a tiny, dark-haired child in her arms.
With a skip in his step, Vision hurried after her like an excited puppy.
A couple of years.. That spare room could be filled with more than old boxes.
