A/N – Thanks for the comments! I follow Steve and Bradford on and let me tell you, their 70's party was priceless. Steve looked so awesome and he danced for like 40 minutes or so. I was stunned and laughed my ass off due to their antics. I never in a million years thought I'd ever see Steve Burton dance with abandon—his hips actually move lol. I would kill to see Jason and Spinelli do a 70's routine at the nurse's ball. I didn't think Steve had that much rhythm. It was so awesome.
Chapter 66
Tracy stepped forward. "You did well, nephew."
Jason hugged her. "I'm glad you could come."
"I wouldn't have missed it." While in the past, they hadn't always gotten along, she and Monica had long talks about him recently and she had come to understand her nephew a little more.
After everyone was greeted, they took a few pictures, and then dinner was served, and the couple hadn't realized how ravenous they were.
Johnny stood. "To Jason and Elizabeth. After ignoring catalytic signs for many years, they finally realized they are perfect for each other." Chuckles filled the room. "May you be blessed with love and happiness all the years to come."
Everyone took a sip of their drinks.
Piph stood. "To my favorite couple who have always smoldered, I'm glad you finally came to your senses." Everyone laughed. "While I admit to being jealous because Jason and I clearly would have been an outstanding couple," Elizabeth briefly glared before laughing, "you can't help but see how much they adore each other. I'm so happy for you. It's never easy to see friends go through hard times but watching them come out on the other end happy and deeply in love is a gift. Your strength and tenacity are proof that hope and faith are alive and well. I love you both and wish you happiness infinity."
Clapping ensued as well as tapping on glasses which prompted the couple to kiss.
"I know I'm not cleared for a speech, but when do I ever listen?" Maximus said as people laughed. "Elizabeth is like a daughter to me. I love her and her children and they deserve the best. I tease her a lot about Jason, but the truth is, she is in the best of hands. I've watched him dote on her and the boys and they are beautiful to watch. Be happy. I'm going to miss you so much. To the Morgan family."
Everyone raised their glasses as soft music began to play and the couple was urged to dance.
As the music swirled around them, their gazes were locked in a loving battle. She could stare into his baby blues forever. After a few minutes, Monica and Maximus danced near them.
"Epiphany said, stop having eye sex. There are children present," Monica quipped.
The couple froze. Jason's jaw dropped as he turned slightly red and then Elizabeth burst out into a fit of laughter. Maximus used the opportunity to switch partners.
Jason smirked. "You enjoyed that, didn't you?"
Monica grinned. "Yes, I did."
He shook his head. "You look beautiful, mom."
She beamed. "Thank you. I have always loved how handsome you look in a tux. Jason, this is the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. I can't believe you planned all of this."
"Tess and Maximus helped a lot."
"Well, they did an excellent job."
Elizabeth grinned at her faux dad. "Can I call you Papa or maybe Papo?"
He rolled his eyes. "Papa my ass."
She snickered. "Pops?"
"That's what Max calls me."
"Did you bring your little gun?"
"That's it!"
To her shock, he reached down and lifted her like she was a sack of rice and moved over to Jason and handed her over.
"What did she do?"
He glared. "She mentioned my little gun."
Elizabeth buried her face against Jason's chest as she cracked up. Jason struggled to keep a straight face.
"You can't give her back. You said she was like a daughter."
"Only when she's good."
"So, basically never…"
Liz smacked her husband's chest. "Jason!"
Maximus chuckled as he walked away.
Jason lowered his wife to the ground in time for Johnny to cut in, and the groom found his arms full of Epiphany.
"Hey, handsome."
He grinned. "Hey, beautiful. You enjoying yourself?"
"Most definitely. I think this wedding will be hard to top."
"Thankfully, I'm only doing it once."
She chuckled. "True. Although, if she does screw up, you know where to find me."
"The song was beautiful."
"Thank you. It's something I enjoy. Can you hold a tune?"
"I don't think so."
"You don't know?"
He spun her around. "It's not like I sing a lot."
"Not even in the shower?"
He smirked. "I'm busy doing other things in there."
"Mm-hmm."
"Is it important that I can sing?"
She nodded. "I want our children to have all the talent they can get."
Jason laughed. "Good to know."
"Speaking of children, I'm putting my name in the hat for godmother duties."
"I wouldn't mind that, but I'm not sure that Elizabeth is on board." His girl isn't trying to have another baby.
"That's probably something you should have chatted about before the wedding."
He chuckled. "It's too late now."
She smirked. "Incoming…"
Robin stopped in front of him. "Mind if I steal him away?"
"He's all yours."
They began to sway.
"I missed you."
He smiled warmly. "I missed you too. How are the kids?"
"They are growing so fast. I can't believe how tall Aidan is."
"Yeah, Elizabeth's pissed that everyone is taller than her."
Robin snickered. "That wasn't a high mark to pass."
"True."
"It's good seeing you so happy."
"Thank you."
"You're lighter. I haven't seen you like this since you started feeling comfortable after the accident."
"Life kind of screwed with my happiness, but I'm good now."
"I'm glad." She grinned widely. "Incoming."
Jason almost groaned. "Brenda…"
Brenda smiled. "Hey."
She grabbed his hand. "Do you want to chat and dance?"
"We can."
She is surprised. "Let's do this then."
They assumed the pose.
"Thanks for inviting me."
Mirth filled his eyes. "I didn't."
"Semantics… Thanks for Johnny too." When she began to say something about her hot man, Jason stopped moving.
"I don't want to know."
She rolled her eyes. "Fine." They resumed the rhythm. "I like Elizabeth. You got lucky this time." Brenda wasn't the biggest Sam fan. She had always thought Jason deserved better.
"I did. I can't say the same about you though."
She glared. "There is nothing wrong with Johnny O'Brien."
He gave her a look.
"Is he being mean?" Johnny said as he stopped in front of them.
"Not too bad. Hey, baby."
Jason groaned as Johnny's dance partner giggled.
"Switch," Molly said.
"I don't think I've danced this much in my life," Jason said.
She laughed. "You're good."
He shrugged.
"I'm glad you're happy."
"Me too."
"I miss Sam, but I know she'd want you to be happy too."
He nodded.
"Are you going on a honeymoon?"
"We're not going to go far for now, but we're going to try to get away for a week in January." His wife doesn't want to miss the Christmas celebration. The song ended, so he went to find her.
As he stood off to the side, suddenly, he felt her arms slip around him from the back, so he gripped them, and then she moved around him.
"Hey, I missed you."
He smiled. "I missed you more." They are staying in a cottage on the property and then Christmas is going to be at the main house. Maximus had put a giant tree in his living room and was pleased when the family accepted. "Can we leave yet?"
She laughed. "Patience…"
His eyes darkened. "That went out the window a long time ago, Mrs. Morgan."
"I love the sound of that, husband."
He leaned closer. "I want to do very dirty things to my wife."
A slight whimper left her lips almost making him groan.
Epiphany snickered from across the room. "They are so talking about sex."
Johnny grinned. "You think so?"
"She just turned slightly red and Jason looks like he wants to eat her."
"Should we try to make them stay even longer?"
Piph laughed. "That would be cruel, but it's tempting."
Robin giggled. "We should mess with them a little."
"I'm in," Kelly said.
"Let's start with a conga line."
Piph busted out laughing. "You're on."
"I'll go talk to the DJ," Patrick said, moving quickly because the song was almost over.
The rest of them stealthy moved around the couple.
"I've got Jason," Piph muttered almost making Robin double over.
The music changed and before Liz and Jason could take a step, the group was on them and Piph grabbed Jason's hips and steered him forward.
Quickly getting what they were doing, he tried to move away, but Piph wasn't having it and the chain began as more people joined.
Johnny almost choked on his drink. "Did you see the look on his face? He is in hell."
Francis laughed. "I took a picture. It can be your screensaver."
Maximus chuckled.
Jason lasted another time around before he did a very jerky weird movement that threw Piph off and he escaped and made his way to his friend.
"That was the best thing I've ever seen," Johnny said.
Jason rolled his eyes and then did a shot. "It's on film, isn't it?"
"You bet your life it is," Max said, "and we're going to play it over and over."
Jason muttered under his breath.
The dancing group breaks up and a fast song comes on and Jason is surprised when Danny asks Molly to dance.
"That's my boy," Drew said.
Jason chuckled. "Where did he get those moves from?"
"Probably his mom, because I certainly never moved like that."
Larissa pulled him up. "Let's go. You cannot let your son make you look bad."
He groaned but allowed her to pull him to the center of the room. The girls formed a circle and danced around him making him laugh.
Jason glanced to the right where Alana is dancing in a circle and he got up and grabbed her and started to move around and she giggled.
"Did his hips just move?" Johnny asked.
Piph's head whipped around. "Damn, they are moving. Who knew?"
"He looks hot," Kelly said.
"Are you ogling my man?" Liz asked as she plopped next to them.
"Yup, as usual, all the girls are drooling over him; especially Alana."
Liz giggled. "If I could move right now, I'd go fight for his honor, but for now, she can have him."
Robin laughed.
A slow song came on and Jason handed Alana to Drew and is surprised when Diane grabbed his hand.
"Come on, I can't leave the country without one dance."
They started to sway.
"I'm very happy for you Jason. She's a great catch."
"I'm a lucky man."
"You're so different, in the best way."
He slightly smiled. "Thanks."
"Seriously, you've been through so much but look at you now. You married the girl of your dreams, bought a winery, and even did the conga."
Jason groaned as she chuckled.
"How's business? Most of your clients are dead or exiled."
Diane laughed. "I have plenty of legit customers, but Port Charles has always been a bit sketchy."
"That's true."
"Want some gossip?"
"You sure I don't already know it?"
"I don't think you do."
He smirked. "Okay."
"Maxie and Peter got into this huge fight as did Lulu and Dante and right before I left, Maxie slept with a drunk Dante."
Jason stopped moving. "Isn't she pregnant with Peter's baby?"
"Yup."
"Wow."
"They had to pull Lulu off her. She went so crazy, they admitted her to the psych ward."
Jason's jaw dropped.
"Maxie is alone. Neither man wants anything to do with her."
Jason shook his head.
Liz moved next to them. "Alright, what did you say to my man to make him look like that?"
Diane filled her in, and Liz smacked her hand over her mouth.
"I know… Maxie is her own worst enemy. Lulu was the only person who would give her the time of day."
Liz shook her head. "Couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Maybe I should send her a baby shower gift when the time comes."
Diane laughed. "You'll make her go into early labor." She left and Liz steered Jason to the center of the floor and then the music abruptly changed.
"Was Diane in on that?"
"You betcha."
Jason shook his head as his girl started to dance and the crowd cheered them on. He pretended to not know how to dance and then when the song was almost over and his little vixen tried to grind against him, he turned the tables and moved his hips and danced a little and then dipped her before moving again and Liz was in a total daze as Epiphany and Robin led the cheering.
"I knew my man could move," Piph yelled. "Show her who's boss, Jason!"
Monica laughed. "I made my boys take dance lessons in high school."
"He must have suddenly remembered it because he has never danced like that with me," Robin said.
Piph rushed toward the couple and got behind Jason and everyone went wild.
Johnny picked his jaw off the floor. "What the hell happened to my friend?"
"Your friend is an undercover playa," Patrick said.
"Seriously, did one of you put hallucinogens in my drink?"
Kelly cracked up. "Don't be a hater."
"I want a DNA test. Jason Morgan does not move like that. He's stiff and stoic."
Kelly wiggled her eyebrows making him gag and Robin almost spits out her drink.
When the music stopped Liz laid a kiss on him like she never had before as everyone egged her on.
After retreating, she grinned all the way back to her seat.
"You go girl," Kelly said.
"Who the hell are you and what did you do to my friend," Johnny said.
Jason grinned. "I bet I shut you up."
"I took a picture," Robin said showing him Johnny's stunned expression.
Jason cracked up. "Sent that to me." He sat next to his girl.
"I can't believe you moved like that. It was so hot," Liz said quietly.
"So, now, are you ready to leave?"
She smiled. "We need to cut the cake."
He tugged her to her feet and carried her to the cake table. There is a groom's cake that is in the shape of a motorcycle that Aidan made. The parents are impressed.
Once they cut a slice and nicely fed each other, the decadent chocolate cake was passed out.
"This is so good," Liz said as she ate a second bite.
Everyone dug in and then more dancing ensued. Liz looked at the clock and then whispered, "Five minutes…"
Jason grinned. "As much as I like being around our friends and family, I'm going to really enjoy it just being us."
"Oh yeah…"
They partied for a while longer.
"I'm going to take the kids home. Alana fell asleep and hopefully, Danny's sugar high will wear off soon," Alexis said. "It was a beautiful wedding."
Liz hugged her. "Thank you for coming."
Alexis turned toward Jason. "I owe you so many apologies. I'm sorry I was so judgmental and if I hurt your feelings. You deserve to be happy, Jason. Enjoy your new life."
"Thank you, and I will."
She left and Liz retrieved her flowers and moved to a little platform where the band had been. A DJ had taken over after the traditional dances were finished.
"Alright, single ladies, gather around."
Everyone gathered except a few like Monica and Tracy, who eagerly opted out.
