Friends 'Till the End Part 2

I don't own Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh

"Aw what's the matter Yugi, can't handle the heat?" Daisuke cooed sadistically, licking her lips as she sniffed the air. "Ah I just love the smell of burning flesh, especially coming from you! Once I wipe out the rest of your life-points, that anchor will drop taking you to the bottom of the ocean to rot."

The smoke around Yami slowly began to clear and he glared at Daisuke's smirking face. "Marik I assure you that you will not get away with your plan."

"Is that so Yugi, I'd say you were in no position to make threats." She replied.

"I know my friend is still in there and I will set her free from your control." Yami said.

"Oh?"

"There's no way I'm letting you win my Puzzle or my Egyptian God Card."

"We'll just see about that." Marik's voice rang out in Daisuke's empty mind, her face going blank for a moment as he stood on the bow of his boat, the Millennium Rod firmly in his hand. "Daisuke belongs to me now, thanks to my Millennium Rod. So, destroy your former best friend my mind puppet and strip him of all that he has so that I may rule the world as Pharaoh."

Life came back to Daisuke's face and she smirked at Yami. "Your friend is gone."

"I don't believe that." Yami said.

"Then make your move already, not that it matters. Neither of your monsters are strong enough to destroy my Red Eyes Wyvern, even if it is weakened." Daisuke said.

"Hey Dai, snap out of it. We're your friends, remember!?" Tea shouted over from her chair, the giant crate above her dangling precariously.

"Tea's right, I have an idea!" Yugi called out to Yami and the Millennium Puzzle flashed brightly.

"What is it?" he questioned his other half who appeared beside him.

"I may have come up with a way to free Daisuke and get us all out of this mess."

"What's that?" Yami asked softly.

"Well it just came to me when Tea reminded us of our friendship, there's a chance we can break through to the real Daisuke." Yugi explained. "I think you should let me duel in your place."

"Are you certain?" Yami asked him. "This is a dangerous duel, Yugi. Much is riding on this."

"I know. But Daisuke and I have been in it together through thick and thin. She and Tristan rescued us from that fire, they risked their lives to save us so now it is time I do the same. If the roles were reversed, she would be risking her life to save me no matter the cost, please understand Yami that I have to do this."

"If you feel so strongly about this…" Yami began softly seeing the determination in Yugi's eyes and he smiled. "Then go, go and rescue your best friend and know that I will be right here should you need me."

Yugi nodded and the Millennium Puzzle glowed brightly for a moment before Yugi took over. "Alright Daisuke, it's just you and me now." He said.

"Him?" Marik spat out angrily, gripping the Millennium Rod in his hand watching the duel through his mind slave's eyes. "Where is the Pharaoh? I wanted to crush him, not this little runt. That coward, he is hiding behind Little Yugi because he's scared to face me!"

He then stopped his ranting for a moment and he then began to chuckle. "On the other hand, this might be just what I need. Without the Pharaoh to guide him, Little Yugi will be no match against me. Either way, no matter which one of them I defeat I will win the Millennium Puzzle and take back my Egyptian God Card."

"My turn Marik." Yugi said.

"Yugi, remember, Daisuke and Tea are counting on you and as long as you believe in the Heart of the Cards, I know you'll come through for them." Yami whispered and he nodded.

"Right." He replied, drawing his next card slowly he looked at it and his eyes widened. "Dark Magician Girl!" he thought.

Meanwhile somewhere in Battle City, Tristan was running as fast as he could while carrying Serenity on his back, two of the Rare Hunters chasing after him. "You can't run forever punk!" one shouted.

"Wanna bet?" Tristan replied, turning a corner he ran down another alleyway before stopping, another Rare Hunter standing at the other hand with a smirk.

"I do." The Rare Hunter said. "You're going to take a trip with us."

"Tristan, what's going on?" Serenity asked fearfully, Tristan set her down and stood in front of her as the three Rare Hunters began to approach.

"I suggest you come quietly."

"Guess again pal, we're not going anywhere." Tristan told them.

"Then this will be fun for us."

"Please be careful Tristan." Serenity pleaded with the older teen.

"Let's get him!" one of the Rare Hunters shouted, the three goons charging Tristan before a voice cried out.

"Lightning Paw!" a white cat with blue eyes wearing green gloves jumped into the fray slamming her right fist into one of the Rare Hunters knocking them across the alleyway.

"What the hell is that thing!?" another of the Rare Hunters screamed.

"Bunny Blast!" another voice cried followed by a green energy bullet slamming into the Rare Hunter's back sending him flying as well.

"Blazing Ice!" the third Rare Hunter's feet became locked in ice, the man turned around only to be met with a boot to the face as Kari jumped and did a flying kick sending the man onto his back with a red foot print on his face.

"Kari, Willis!" Tristan called out in relief.

"The very same." Willis replied with a grin. "And these are our Digimon, Terriermon, Lopmon and Gatomon."

"Nice to meet ya." Terriermon greeted, waving his big ears like hands as Lopmon bowed and Gatomon grinned.

"So wanna explain what's going on?" Kari asked softly, helping Serenity to her feet before Tristan helped the blind girl onto his back.

"Run now, talk later." He replied, taking off down the alleyway followed by the two humans and three Digimon, as they came out the other side, they ran past Duke Devlin.

"Hey what's going on?" the Dungeon Dice inventor asked.

"Fill ya in on the way, now come on!" Tristan shouted, the other male nodding and running off after him and the others.

Back at the duel, Yugi was looking at the Dark Magician Girl's card in his hand. "This might work to help Daisuke break free of Marik's control, but it all comes down to how I use her. Daisuke gave me this card so a part of her would always be in my deck, she has to remember it." He thought.

"Remember when time runs out that anchor falls so make your move." Daisuke told Yugi impatiently.

"Okay to summon Dark Magician Girl, I'll have to sacrifice a monster. Luckily, I have two of them. Big Shield Gardna and Kuriboh, so here it goes." Yugi thought about summoning the monster when a ghostly hand gripped his.

"Wait." He turned, his eyes going wide when he saw the spirit of the Dark Magician Girl beside him. "Do not summon me just yet, Marik may yet have a way to destroy me when I appear, and with only 1200 life-points left you must be cautious little one." She told him, her voice soft and gentle.

"Then what do I do?" he asked.

"Go, what's taking so long!?" Daisuke shouted at him.

"Maybe there is another way to show her the Dark Magician Girl without summoning her, but it might be an even greater risk." Yugi thought.

"Trust in your heart and believe in the bond you two share. I know my old master is in there, trying to break free this very moment." Dark Magician Girl said with a reassuring smile.

"Alright, I play the magic card Exchange!" Yugi said, playing the magic card causing Kaiba's eyes to widen.

"A foolish move!" Daisuke hissed.

"What's he thinking? That magic card allows Daisuke to take any card from his hand." Kaiba thought.

Daisuke let out a cackle and smirked widely. "You must be truly desperate to play a card like that, I'll be glad to take any of your cards. Not that they would help me in crushing you." She continued, walking around the platform towards Yugi. "Show me your cards."

Yugi relented, showing her his cards. They were Mystic Box, Card Destruction, De-Spell and Dark Magician Girl.

"Now which one of them shall I…Dark Magician Girl!?" she exclaimed, her eyes widening on seeing the card.

"Silence you fool. You belong to me now, I own you!" Marik's voice angrily rang out in her mind.

"Go ahead Marik, you can have any of my cards including the Dark Magician Girl." Yugi told her, looking away as Daisuke's hand trembled as it moved.

"Dark Magician Girl…the card I gave to Yugi." Inside her mind, Daisuke was looking through the small portal to the outside world as the dragon around her hissed gently. "I can't take it from him, I gave it to him as a promise to help him beat Marik."

"Obey me, you have no mind of your own!" Marik's voice angrily shouted in her mind. "Do as I command, take the Dark Magician Girl from him!"

Daisuke's trembling hand gripped Dark Magician Girl's card. "No…I…I can't…it's Yugi's card…" she held her head, shaking it several times.

"Take the card now, do it!" Marik shouted, Daisuke grit her teeth and pulled back, a different card in her hand, Card Destruction.

"I don't need her to beat him…" she snarled, both to Marik and to Yugi. "My deck is more than capable of crushing him."

"You will pay for disobeying me," Marik promised with a growl.

"So now I take one of the cards from your hand, Dai." Yugi said, she held out her cards to him, showing that they were Graceful Dice, Rocket Warrior, Magic Arm Shield and another Hinotama card with Yugi taking Magic Arm Shield from her hand.

"Not that it will help you." She said, turning to walk away.

"You can deny it all you want, but I know that my friend is still there. Admit it, the second she laid eyes on Dark Magician Girl she began fighting to not take her."

"Enough." Daisuke growled, glaring over her shoulder at him. "I'm controlling her mind, there is nothing she can do to save herself, and you're wasting precious time with your inane prattle."

"It's still my turn and I am going to save my friend. Just wait and see." Yugi said.

"Then make your pathetic move, it won't be long until I wipe out the rest of your life-points." Daisuke said.

"I will sacrifice Kuriboh to summon Dark Magician Girl to the field!" Yugi said, Kuriboh glowing brightly before Dark Magician Girl took his place.

"It's my Dark Magician Girl…" Daisuke whispered; her eyes wide as she looked at her former monster that was looking at her with a determined expression.

"That's it Dai, break free from his control!" Yugi pleaded.

"This can't be happening, my control over her mind is slipping!" Marik thought. "I can't let that little brat break the power of my Millennium Rod."

"Sir." Odion said, walking up behind him. "I'm afraid Daisuke Wheeler's sister has got away."

"Then why are you standing around here you fool, go and make sure she is captured!" Marik ordered, Odion nodding once before he walked away.

"Daisuke I'm sorry it's come to this, but I'm going to have Dark Magician Girl knock you back to your senses!" Yugi shouted, tears brimming in his eyes. "Dark Magician Girl attack Red Eyes Wyvern with Dark Burning Attack!"

Dark Magician Girl nodded before spinning her scepter around and launching a bright magic blast at Red Eyes Wyvern destroying it and Daisuke's life-points to 3100 and she fell to one knee.

"Get up and fight back my slave!" Marik's voice rang out in her mind, she stumbled for a moment as she got back up to both feet.

"Sorry Yugi…" Daisuke said softly, looking up and smirking at him. "But your little plan didn't work, I'm still in control of your friend and it won't be long until our little game ends my friend, it's time I take out the rest of your life-points." She hissed, looking at the cards in her hand.

"Yugi, this is getting too dangerous, I'm taking control." Yami said before Yugi did something shocking, he took the Millennium Puzzle off from around his neck.

"I'm sorry Yami but I can't let you do that; I have one last idea." He said.

"But Yugi…" Yami began before stopping himself and letting out a sigh. "Since the day you completed the Millennium Puzzle, I have watched you grow and become a brave young man, while I worry for you as a friend, something tells me that I should have faith in your choice."

"Thank you." Yugi whispered with a smile.

"You have the power to win this duel, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders." Yami told him.

"I know, and I won't disappoint you." He thought, clutching the chain of the Millennium Puzzle in his hand.

"Well now, have you given up or are you ready for more?" Daisuke questioned.

"I don't have a lot of time left; my life-points are low. My only chance is to free Daisuke's mind." Yugi thought.

Meanwhile in Battle City, the three Rare Hunters were searching for their targets, all three still recovering from the beating they took at the hands of the Digimon. "Come on find them!" one barked as they all ran off away from a delivery truck.

Once they were gone, Tristan and Duke poked their heads above some of the packages in the truck and sighed in relief. "We've got a chance to catch our breath now." Tristan said.

"And some time to catch up." Duke replied. "The last time I saw you guys was during my Dungeon Dice Monsters match with Yugi, I heard about Battle City and thought I would come and say hi."

"Well, you sure picked a nice time to show up." Kari said with a smile. "I'm Kari and this is Willis, oh and these are our digimon." She introduced herself, Willis, and their partners to Duke who they had not met before.

"Nice to meet ya, you are friends of Daisuke?" Duke asked and they nodded. "And who is she?" he then whispered pointing to Serenity who held her knees close to her chest.

"To you she's off limits." Tristan replied. "That's Daisuke's younger sister, Serenity. So, don't try anything."

"That goes double for you." Kari told Tristan, her hands on her hips. "If Daisuke got wind you two were putting moves on her sister, she'd make you both wish you had never been born, so behave, got it?"

Both boys gulped and nodded. "Now that is cleared up, we've gotta keep moving. Those goons will be looking for us still, and if they're after us, they'll be after the others too." Willis said softly. "Daisuke, Tea and their friends are all in danger."

"It's my turn little Yugi, and I'm about to send you to the bottom of the sea." Daisuke said, drawing her next card. "Ah perfect."

"Hold on Marik!" Yugi called out before Daisuke could play the card she just drew. He slowly began walking around the platform to her side of the field, once he reached Daisuke, he did something that made her eyes widen as he placed the Millennium Puzzle around her neck. "My most precious possession…it belongs to you now Dai, now a piece of me will always be with you."

"Yugi…" Daisuke whispered, watching the events from inside her mind, tears dripping down her cheeks. "Oh, you idiot…"

"That fool, trying to bribe you with his puzzle!" Marik's voice echoed around her. "I can't use its magical powers until I've won it in a duel, I have no need of it now. Throw it into the ocean!"

"No." Daisuke whispered, shaking her head. "I won't do it!"

Meanwhile, with Yugi he heard the words come from Daisuke's mouth and he gasped softly. "I won't throw the puzzle…the puzzle belongs to Yugi…he's my friend…"

"I'm losing control of her again!" Marik angrily thought, unable to understand why she was resisting so much. "Fine keep the puzzle, if it truly means so much to you!"

"Yes sir…keep the puzzle." Daisuke whispered. "My move." She said. "I play Graceful Charity, this lets me draw three cards for the price of discarding two other cards." she drew the three cards, and saw they were Red Eyes Black Dragon and two other cards Marik had given to her before the duel began, she discarded two of her cards and nodded.

"I end my turn, and due to the effect of Red Eyes Wyvern in the Graveyard, since I did not summon nor set a monster this turn, I can banish it from my Graveyard to summon a normal type Red Eyes monster from my Graveyard." She explained. "And I choose the one I just discarded via Graceful Charity's cost, Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

Everyone watched as Daisuke's ace monster appeared, the dragon roaring loudly as it glared down at Yugi and his monsters. "Excellent my mind slave, in your next turn you will destroy Yugi once and for all," Marik said before noticing something with her hand. "The third Hinotama magic card, you discarded it!?"

"I didn't need it, Yugi will be destroyed without cheap tricks." Daisuke replied coldly and Marik grit his teeth.

"I will make you regret that fool." He vowed as Yugi made his move.

"I'm afraid all I can do right now is set two cards face down, and I end my turn." He said softly, the two cards appearing in front of him and Daisuke let out a chuckle.

"That's all you can do. How pathetic. Now it's my move." she said, drawing another card and a dark look overtook her face as the card in her hand began glowing a dark blue light. "I sacrifice my Red Eyes Black Dragon in order to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Dragon, a beast with far more destructive power that'll signal the end for you!"

Red Eyes Black Dragon let out a roar of agonizing pain as a brilliant crimson glow overtook its being, before everyone's eyes it transformed into the same dragon that was curled around Daisuke inside her mind. The girl letting out a soft gasp before the dragon around her body glowed and began fading away in light red sparkles.

The newly transformed dragon let out a horrendous shriek like wail as it hovered in the air ready to strike. "Red Eyes Darkness Dragon gains 300 Attack points for everyone dragon monster in my graveyard, and since I only have Red Eyes Black Dragon, it will continue to serve me even in death." She growled, her new dragon hissing softly as its attack points climbed from 2400 to 2700.

"Oh no…did Daisuke always have that card in her deck?" Mokuba asked his brother.

"I don't think so, my guess is Marik slipped the card into her deck as well." Kaiba responded, narrowing his eyes in concern.

"My turn is not yet over; I summon Rocket Warrior to the field." Daisuke said, her warrior type monster appearing in front of her. "Now Rocket Warrior transform into your invincible mode and strike Dark Magician Girl!"

Rocket Warrior nodded, transforming into a rocket enclosing its body in its armour before it rocketed into the air and flew towards Dark Magician Girl. "When a monster is attacked by Rocket Warrior in its invincible mode it shall lose 500 attack points."

"Look out Yugi!" Tea shouted. Rocket Warrior struck Dark Magician Girl making the female spellcaster recoil in pain and drop to her knees, smoke coming from her injured arm where Rocket Warrior had struck, and her Attack points dropped to 1500 as Rocket Warrior flew away and landed back in front of Daisuke.

"Heh." Daisuke said when her eyes widened for a moment. "Wh…what did I just do?" she whispered in horror looking at the injured monster.

"Yugi, I think it's working. Daisuke's breaking free of Marik's control again." Yami told him.

"I know, I just didn't wish it had to be because she hurt her monster." Yugi replied with a small smile.

"Don't start smiling yet Little Yugi, my turn is still in play. Red Eyes Darkness Dragon destroy Big Shield Gardna. Inferno Annihilation!" Daisuke shouted, her monster growling lowly before unleashing a tremendous firestorm from its mouth obliterating Big Shield Gardna in a single blast. "I end my turn."

"And since you've done that, Rocket Warrior's effect has ended as well, meaning Dark Magician Girl regains the 500 Attack points she lost." Yugi said, Dark Magician Girl standing up and rolling her shoulder gingerly as her Attack points returned to 2000. "I'll save you yet Daisuke. I summon Beta the Magnet Warrior in Attack mode." He said and his Magnet Warrior appeared beside Dark Magician Girl. "And I end my turn."

"End you turn!?" Daisuke growled out. "You could have attacked, why didn't you?" she questioned. "Have you gone soft, are you afraid to attack me, your best friend?" she ranted before smirking cruelly. "Very well, I will show you the price for being so careless."

"Well, it's your move, so go ahead." Yugi told her. She smirked and drew her next card.

"Panther Warrior excellent, combined with Red Eyes Darkness Dragon I can win this duel in a single strike." She thought. "I summon Panther Warrior, in attack mode." She said, summoning the beastly warrior to the field and it growled lowly.

"Now my mind slave, finish this duel, destroy little Yugi and win me the Millennium Puzzle, I command you!" Marik ordered.

"I activate the magic card Attrition." Daisuke said, she put the magic card into her duel disk, and it appeared on the field for all to see. "Now when Rocket Warrior attacks again, the monster it attacks will lose attack points equal to Rocket Warrior's own Attack points." She explained.

"Meaning any monster Rocket Warrior attacks will be helpless against either Panther Warrior or Red Eyes Darkness Dragon." Veemon said softly.

"Now Rocket Warrior transform into your invincible mode and attack Beta the Magnet Warrior!" she commanded. Rocket Warrior did as commanded, shifting into its rocket form once again and it flew towards Beta the Magnet Warrior.

"I think not. Activate face down card, Magic Arm Shield!" Yugi shouted, one of his two face down cards glowing as it activated while the magical shield appeared on Beta the Magnet Warrior's left arm. "This Trap card allows me to redirect your Rocket Warrior's attack right back at one of your monsters, and I select your Panther Warrior."

Rocket Warrior was caught by the magical shield's clamps which shot out of the shield stopping it in its path before slowly the rocket was turned around and then released sending it flying directly at Panther Warrior and the monster roared in pain as its shoulder was struck and it slumped in pain. "And thanks to your Attrition magic card, Panther Warrior loses 1500 Attack points plus the 500 Attack points from Rocket Warrior's special ability."

"Grr, no. He baited me." Daisuke growled out watching as Panther Warrior's Attack points fell to 0. "Fine then, I have one more monster to attack with. Red Eyes Darkness Dragon destroy Beta the Magnet Warrior now!"

"Yugi!" Tea cried in worry as Red Eyes Darkness Dragon roared before unleashing its attack destroying Beta and Yugi cried out as the force of the explosion sent him flying back and his life-points dropped by 1000 points leaving him with only 200 life-points.

"Dai…I…I know you're in there…" Yugi whispered, pulling himself to his feet while grunting in pain. "And I…I will save you." He promised.

"I end my turn, make your final move little Yugi." Daisuke told him. As her turn ended, the effect of Rocket Warrior wore off, giving back 500 Attack points to her Panther Warrior.

Yugi drew his next card and looked at it and his eyes widened before he smiled softly. "Alright, I play the magic card Monster Reborn to revive a monster from either of our Graveyards, and I choose your Red Eyes Black Dragon."

"You what!?" Daisuke shouted, her Graveyard slot on her duel disk glowing before the card shot out towards Yugi who caught it and played it on his duel disk and the Red Eyes Black Dragon appeared beside Dark Magician Girl. "Traitorous beast!" she snapped.

"And since Red Eyes Black Dragon is no longer in the Graveyard, that means your Red Eyes Darkness Dragon loses the extra 300 Attack points it had." Yugi explained with a smile.

"No!" Marik growled out, watching as Red Eyes Darkness Dragon's attack points fell back to its original 2400.

"And now, Red Eyes Black Dragon destroy her Rocket Warrior, Inferno Fire Blast!" Yugi shouted, his dragon let out a roar and unleashed its fireball towards Rocket Warrior destroying it and Daisuke covered herself from the blast as her life-points dropped from 3100 to 2200. "You there Dai?"

"No, I told you that she's gone. And unlike you, I've plenty of strength left, you can hardly stand." Daisuke replied. "And with only ten short minutes to go, it'll soon be all over."

"Not if I stop you." Yugi said. "Red Eyes Black Dragon attack and destroy Red Eyes Darkness Dragon!" he commanded.

"Red Eyes Darkness Dragon, attack!" Daisuke shouted, both dragons roaring and launching their attacks at each other, the two monsters were struck at the same time and destroyed.

"Both monsters were destroyed in the attack." Kaiba said.

"That means the only monsters left on the field are Yugi's Dark Magician Girl and Daisuke's Panther Warrior." Veemon said.

"Right, this duel will be decided shortly, either by a victor or by time running out." White-Veemon said, glancing up at the clock beside the anchor that showed only a few minutes left.

Meanwhile somewhere in Battle City, Tristan, Serenity, Willis, Kari, Duke along with the Digimon were searching for their friends. "No sign of them yet, I'm getting worried." Kari said.

"Maybe they're all at the Battle City Finals already." Willis said optimistically.

"But without knowing where that is, we're stuck." Terriermon told him, currently riding on his partner's head.

"How many locator cards do you have, maybe we can use those." Tristan said, Willis shrugged and held out only three Locator Cards.

"I haven't had many duels, most of the duelists have already been eliminated." He said.

"You did better than most." Kari told him with a grin.

"That's true, not many can win against high ranking duelists." Lopmon chirped, resting on Willis' shoulder before they all heard voices and saw the Rare Hunters on a bridge in front of them.

"Shoot, quick run." Tristan said, taking Serenity's hand and they all ran off as the Rare Hunters spotted them and gave chase.

"These guys don't give up." Gatomon said. They group all began to run across the street when a blue sports car screeched to a halt just missing them.

"Hey cross with the green not in between." The driver said, glaring at the group before her eyes widened on seeing Tristan. "Tristan?"

"Mai, man am I glad to see you." He told her. "We need some help."

"Say no more, hop in." she told them, noticing the Rare Hunters getting closer.

"You heard the lady." Duke said, jumping into the car while Willis helped Serenity in before he too climbed in with his Digimon.

"What about us?" Tristan said as he noticed there was not enough room for them all to fit in the four-seat card.

"Leave that problem to me." Kari said with a grin. "But first, Gatomon if you would be so kind." She said and her partner nodded.

"Gladly." She said running towards the Rare Hunters. "Cats Eye Hypnotism." Her eyes glowed brightly before she fired rings of energy at the Rare Hunters making them all stop in their tracks.

"Nice work." Kari praised her partner. She then walked up to the Rare Hunters and frowned. "Alright, tell me where Daisuke Wheeler and the others you've captured are?" she ordered.

"Domino Pier…" the three men mumbled out.

"Are you sure?" She questioned.

"Yes…they're there." The three men answered.

"They had better be." Kari told them. "Or you'll be sorry, now take a nap." She said and the Rare Hunters fell to the ground in a deep sleep.

"Whoa, remind me not to get on your bad side." Tristan said in awe of what happened, and Kari giggled. Soon Mai was driving through Battle City towards the pier while Tristan held onto Kari as both flew in the sky on Nefertimon. "Are you sure this is safe!?"

"Perfectly safe, we do this all the time." The flying Digimon replied, flapping her wings as she turned a corner quickly making the male scream as he held on tightly.

"Hold on Dai, we're coming to save ya!" Kari shouted.

Meanwhile back at the duel, Daisuke was smirking at Yugi. "I can almost taste victory, what a delicious meal it will be." She said, drawing her next card. "Skull Dice, perfect." She thought.

"We can continue to wait my mind slave, or destroy your friend with magic cards, either way in less than eight minutes both of you will be reunited at the bottom of the sea and I'll be the victor." Marik's voice rang out in her mind, while he sat calmly inside his boat comfortably.

"Come on Daisuke, you have to snap out of it. Don't you remember Duelist Kingdom, how Serenity was your inspiration for everything you did during the tournament, how you fought so hard to win the prize money to pay for her operation." Yugi said.

"Serenity…" Daisuke whispered before clutching her head. "Rargh don't you get it!" She snapped. "Your friend isn't coming back, so quit trying to save her." She growled. "I set two cards face down and end my turn."

"Time is running out, Daisuke, please wake up!" Yugi begged, drawing his next card and he nodded. "I set one card face down, and next Dark Magician Girl attack her Panther Warrior!"

Dark Magician Girl nodded, flying towards Panther Warrior and Daisuke chuckled. "You've fallen into my trap little Yugi, activate both my face down cards, Skull Dice and Graceful Dice!" both her face down cards activated and the angel and devil appeared in front of her carrying their die. "I'm feeling very lucky today, Graceful Dice will increase Panther Warrior's attack while Skull Dice weakens Dark Magician Girl."

"Guess again." Yugi said.

"What!?" Daisuke growled.

"I activate my face down magic card, De-Spell to destroy your Graceful Dice." Yugi said, a blast of magical energy firing from his magic card and striking the angel destroying it.

"But Skull Dice can still save me, roll die now!" Daisuke said, her devil throwing the die and it rolled for a moment before it stopped. "A two!?"

"That only cuts Dark Magician's Attack points in half." Yugi said as Dark Magician Girl's Attack points fell to 1000.

"My panther is doomed!" Daisuke shouted, Dark Magician Girl fired a blast of magic at Panther Warrior destroying it and Daisuke's life-points fell from 2200 to 1700. "Grr, you may have been successful in destroying my monster, but I assure you I'll win this duel." She drew her next card and smirked.

"Meteor of Destruction!" Marik's voice shouted in her mind. "Excellent work my mind slave, that's just the card we need to destroy Yugi once and for all."

"One more turn….one more turn and I rule the world!" Daisuke shouted in victory while Yugi watched on in despair.
