There were so many things Chandra wanted to say and even more that she wanted to do (and even more that she wanted done to her) but with so many impulses screaming at once, all she could do was nod until Liliana ran fingers through crimson hair to bring their lips together.
Their drunken kiss from an eternity ago had been constantly on her mind, but this was entirely different. Each time their lips parted, Chandra's body craved more, but when they were together, she felt the thrill in her heart more than anywhere. The cliche was embarrassing, but she knew this was the thrill of embracing someone you're in love with.
There was a fire running down Chandra's spine to her thighs. The arousal she felt discussing her dream had clearly never left and with no hesitation, she fumbled her sweater off and threw it aside. Liliana accepted the invitation – lifting Chandra's shirt just enough to latch on to her bare midriff, holding on tightly as if them separating would be too painful to bare.
Wanting to return the feeling of lustful appreciation, Chandra attempted to move in closer to where her smaller frame could reach, desperate for the feeling of skin.
Her attempt failed.
Rather than getting her hands on Liliana, the awkward young woman's thighs lost their grip around the bike, and rather than gently reaching her partner, Chandra slipped forward with enough force to push Liliana down, her back now pressed against the handles, knocking a mirror off as she tumbled into it.
Chandra had never been more appreciative of the darkness. The two could see each others faces, but not well enough for anyone to see the blush of embarrassment drowning out her pale complexion.
The shame was quickly dispelled when Liliana let out a gasp that was more appreciation than surprise followed by an excited giggle. It was such a minor gesture, but it was so raw, so beneath her formal facade, encouraging Chandra's fervour even further before being taken aback when her love panted, "I had not expected you the type to hug so forcefully."
Chandra gulped. She thought that was intentional? The redhead loved notions of domination, but only if she were the one pushed. But if that's what makes her happy... She was ready to do just about anything if it meant the chance at hearing the intoxicating laugh again. Just imagine what you would want and do that.
Chandra slowly crawled on top of Liliana, gripping her raven hair before pressing down on her wrist. Eyes wide with fake malice, she said with a glee that sounded more evil than sexy, "you're gonna be a good girl and do everything I say." Liliana's eyes rolled slightly as she hummed her acceptance
Using the other hand, she pulled Liliana's lips to hers. It may not have been reflecting Chandra's numerous fantasies, but feeling Liliana's tongue fill on her throat every time she had her hair tugged filled Chandra with a level of desire she had never felt before..
Might as well keep this train going. Between Chandra's small stature and Liliana's strength, the smaller woman had freedom to rest her weight, maintain her pin and use her other hand to explore. Gradually, she raised Liliana's loose top, while nibbling and biting on her lips and ears, drawing out a heavy breath with each pierce.
Liliana's skin was warm like summer, covered in the goosebumps of a frigid winter, though the biggest distraction was the firm body underneath the soft skin. Chandra took solace that she'd at least get to enjoy one fetish tonight. It was so satisfying to press in to that she almost lost herself.
Finally finding her way to the clasp on the front of Liliana's bra, Chandra gently tugged on it – not in any attempt to unhook, but rather to announce that she had found it and was prepared to take her time. She traced her slender finger up Liliana's chest to her neck, applying force on it while she whispered in her ear, "who does your body belong to now?"
With a whimper, Liliana quickly responded, "y-you."
Chandra growled, "say it again."
"My body belongs to you!" As much as Chandra was out of her wheelhouse, the lust and passion in Liliana's cries were as sexy as anything and all the encouragement she needed to expose Liliana's bare breasts to the cold. The pinned girl purred her appreciation at the progression as Chandra used her free hand to paw at the tits that were supposedly her possessions now. Clamping her nipples between two fingers and stroking them with her full palm were clearly the most popular motions.
Their precarious situation laying atop the dragster maintained itself by Liliana's strength keeping both of them balanced and was sturdy enough for Chandra to use her thigh to slowly part Liliana's legs. Expecting a more delicate progression, she was almost thrown off when her leg was met with a strong buckle as their denim clad centres nearly met.
Forcing out her best attempt at an arrogant chuckle, Chandra said with a sense of confidence rarely afforded to her, "I always knew there was an eager slut beneath that proper lady." Liliana eagerly nodded at the obvious lie. "I know just what a whore like you needs."
Chandra, continuing with the theme of doing to Liliana what she wished Liliana would do to her, she left the focus of the beautiful pair of tits and moved her hand quickly down to the button of the jeans that seemed desperate to come off and rushed it open. Both of them breathing heavily, Chandra began sliding her fingers past the fluff of hair, closing on the realization of how wet her partner was.
The tips of her fingers didn't even have time to slide inside before Liliana's eyes popped open with horror and she yelped out, "Chandra, stop."
Both of her hands retracted as Chandra propped herself up and made a gap between the two of them.
Fuck, look what you've done.
She had expected Liliana to eventually realize the mistake of them being involved in some way, but figured it would take longer than ten minutes.
You took advantage of her again, you stupid piece of shit.
The two maintained their positions in unblinking, unbreaking silence. The only thing stopping Chandra escaping into the night and throwing herself in front of a train was the possibility that it's not what Liliana would want her to do.
How many times am I going to mess this up?
Finally breaking eye contact, Liliana spoke weakly, "Chandra, I-"
There was no time to finish. Before Liliana could get to the point, there was a thunderous pounding on the door of the shed that made them both nearly fall off the dragster in shock.
"That's a fuckin' battering ram!" The sound was unmistakable to Chandra and what was worse was that she knew that's not something private security would have.
She hissed to Liliana, "those are cops out there. You need to hi-" Another slam against the steel entrance. As much as it was worth a shot, Chandra knew her sister wouldn't listen to the demand but she hadn't expected the response she got. Liliana pulled her into her bare chest and wrapped her arms around her head. This is a strange and very unproductive hug.
A third crash and even though it was followed by the unmistakable sound of metal buckling, it was quieter and Chandra came to a realization. She's trying to cover my ears. She's worried this might trigger something. Even after everything I've done. She raised her hands and pushed herself out of the grip and flashed her sister a cheeky grin. "Time for me to go to jail. I'd say I could get you out of this, but I know you won't listen."
Chandra kicked over the little trash pale of captain-what's-his-name, spilling out some orange peel and an empty soda can. "This is bullshit."
"It could be a lot worse." The guilt Liliana was feeling was apparent in her monotone, sad eyes and fidgeting. She blamed herself for their predicament, though she wasn't entirely wrong about one thing. They had been lucky. None of the arresting officers recognized Liliana as the daughter of Jovi Vess, but the precinct captain did and that was enough to get them off the hook.
They still did break the law though which meant he had to pretend to punish them, so here they were, two adults, waiting in his office for their parents to come pick them up.
Just like old times. Only seconds earlier had they been left alone which is when Chandra finally spoke – knowing better than to say anything around the cops. This meant the two hadn't said a word to each other since they were cuffed.
All her feelings of arousal and been quashed beneath her exhaustion and bitterness "I know it could be worse. That's the problem." Liliana knew what she meant but Chandra felt the need to vent her frustration. "Even though we actually broke the law, we're in here because of who your daddy is while some poor fuck is in a jail cell for something stupid like jaywalking."
The look of misery in Liliana's eyes was watering, making Chandra feel worse than she already was. She knew the daddy remark had gone too far as soon as she said it. She knew how important it was to Liliana that Chandra liked her step-dad. As angry as she was, the last thing she wanted was to make her sister feel any worse, so she gave herself a moment to calm down.
"Sorry... I know you're not part of the problem anymore – neither is Jovi." Say something nice. "I may despise this place and everything it represents, but I'm really proud of you two for breaking away from it." Liliana responded with a warm smile, though she maintained a nervous silence.
Not knowing what else to do and not wanting to confront their passionate exchange from earlier, Chandra figured it was best to keep going on about anything that seemed trivial at the moment. "That statue of your brother." They had walked past the monument to Josu while they were escorted to the squad car and it stuck in her mind as she had to admit to her dead step brother how she had failed keeping his sister safe. The topic piqued Liliana's interest, possibly for the distraction it caused. "What's going to happen to it?"
Liliana looked around the room, annoyed at the question – not at Chandra for asking it, but for how many times she had likely asked herself. "Unfortunately, we are not sure yet. Dad is not important enough anymore for us to just stick it wherever we want." She quietly sighed. "My mom is, on Kamigawa at least, but the statue is too big to shove through a planar portal."
Chandra protested, "someone must owe you a favour."
Gesturing around the room Liliana said matter-of-factually, "these are the kind of favours we have left. No one wants to spend money on us if we are not spending money on them and dad is not happy with the idea of buying Josu a spot somewhere, nor should he be. He would not have wanted that."
That's the thing about rich people, Chandra thought as she looked into Liliana's wandering eyes. They're so used to having resources that they have no idea how to be resourceful. She knew there was a way to respect Josu's memorial that wouldn't cost money and now she was determined to find it.
Lost in scheming, Liliana had to say Chandra's name three times to regain her attention. "About earlier..."
Chandra waved off any apology Liliana was trying to relay. "Don't worry about it. You changed your mind and realized it was a mistake. That's okay. You have nothing to feel guilty about."
Liliana was at a loss – Chandra figured she wasn't expecting such a nonchalant response and by the time the speechless girl had found something to say, the door behind them slammed open followed by the unmistakable sound of a small woman with powerful steps that always made Chandra instinctively sit up straight.
"What the hell were you two thinking!?" Pia yelling was something Chandra grew accustomed to as a child, but anyone could raise their voice. It was the fire in her mother's eyes when she was angry that never failed to give her chills – a skill likely necessary for staring down an enemy in war.
Jovi, in contrast, looked like he was trying to hide being amused which became particularly difficult for him when Chandra responded to her mother cavalierly, "I figured it might be fun to have you come rescue me from the cops. Are we not in the mood for nostalgia?" As tickled by that as Jovi was, Chandra had to tense her entire body up to stop herself snickering at how horrified her boldness had twisted Liliana's face.
I just have to push enough of mother's buttons to direct the blame on to me.
Liliana wasn't prepared to go along with the unspoken plan. Before Pia could even finish flicking her birth daughter's forehead, her step daughter tried to launch a defence to her dad. "I was just trying to-" A loud snapping of fingers interrupted her as Pia spoke to Liliana in a harsher tone than Chandra would have ever expected.
"Don't look at him. Your father thinks this is much more charming than it is." Chandra took note of Jovi quietly closing the office door, presumably to spare the young women the embarrassment of being reprimanded and everything about him was warming her heart.
It really is like old times. How many times did mother yell at me while father stood behind her trying not to laugh? She'd pretend to get angry whenever she caught him doing it, but we all knew it was something she loved about him. Maybe Jovi-
"What are you grinning at?" Pia barked at her daughter who had gotten so lost in thought that she didn't realize she even was smiling.
Before Chandra could think of a lie, Liliana interjected in a rush. "I never told Chandra I was not allowed to be on the grounds." Her reaction to all this was fascinating in its own way as it occurred to Chandra that Liliana had probably never been spoken to by a parent like this. From everything she had learned about Liliana's mother, the woman likely expressed her anger by being cold and cruel.
Like most people would in unfamiliar situations, her sister seemed to be doing the first thing that came to mind – indicated by what a terrible excuse that was. If I know how bad that was, then mother- "I have a feeling she figured it out when she snuck past the guards and climbed the fence."
Chandra could feel the shame resonating from Liliana at the rejection and it made her angrier than her rational side could handle. It's my fault Liliana felt the need to run somewhere in the first place.
Anytime she felt bold in the face of her mother's scoldings, it usually took the form of smart ass remarks, but this time was different and she shot out of her chair with purpose. "Mother, we're all tired and I know you hate being in this dump almost as much as I do so can you finish killing us at home?"
As defiant as she sounded, Chandra made sure to make her eyes that only her mother could see as desperate as possible and when she saw that, the scowl on Pia's face turned into a sympathetic frown for a brief moment before reestablishing itself as she snapped at Liliana, "get up."
Rigid and quick like one of Pia's soldiers, Liliana leapt out of her chair without a word and before anyone could be given the order to leave, Chandra was already opening the door of the office and rushing out. As she expected, her mother matched her stride for the station door, likely fearing Chandra would kick something bigger than a trash bin.
This left the Vess' behind to apologize to the cops; as much as Chandra wanted out of there, her haste was an attempt to break free of her step-family and as she stepped out into the cold winter twilight, she knew there would be enough time.
Turning to her mother, she spoke through chattering teeth, trying to imitate the same arrogance that she had inside. "So, you gonna-" fuck it's cold as tits out here. Liliana had the sense to redress herself before surrendering to the cops. Chandra on the other hand was stuck freezing and hoping Jace had no particular attachment to that hoodie."You gonna tear me apart for being a brat?"
The fury in Pia's eyes had eased into the exhaustion they were all feeling. "You can drop the act, Chandra."
The shivering girl tried not to smile, to not get carried away and look too proud. "What gave me away?"
"You were acting like a child in there." Chandra's knew her mother must have seen the pride in her eyes and was trying to squelch it with sharp words. "You're as impulsive and imprudent as you've ever been, but even still, you have grown up and I know that wasn't really you in there."
With her point probably made, Chandra still felt the need to say, as she looked at the ground with her hands in her pockets, "she's having a hard time right now. I just..." Her eyes misted over while her voice cracked – she could have blamed the cold which anyone would have believed aside from her mother. "I just need to fix it."
"What you did was unacceptable." Trying to maintain some dignity, Chandra turned around to hide her emotions completely, not realizing she left herself completely vulnerable to the sensation of her mother's jacket being wrapped around her. "But at least now when you break the law, your heart is in the right place. That's a start."
