Hey guys! I hope you like this chapter, and I hope you understand Naruto's reasoning for some of this-remember she's desperate to protect her loved ones from anything that could hurt them, also, after the day she's had it would have been extremely traumatic after all.

Naruto got to her feet as Karin rushed into the clearing, tucking the kunai away quickly and giving the red haired girl a faint smile. "Hey Karin-chan."

"Naruto-chan are you okay? I told Rin-san that you weren't feeling well and you went home-"

"Right." Naruto gave a grateful smile, "Thanks for covering for me Karin-chan. How long do I have?"

"She was just talking to Tsunade-sama and then she was gonna head home to check on you."

"So not long. Hirashin it is then." Naruto grabbed Karin's arm with one hand and flashed through the hand signs-then they were in her bedroom and Naruto moved quickly, "I need to wash my hands and get changed out of my kimono-it's got blood on it."

"What happened?" Karin's voice was thick with worry, "Are you okay? Why's there blood on your Kimono?"

"I.." Naruto hesitated, "I'm okay now. I got upset and angry... super angry."

"Why?"

"It's complicated." Naruto said hesitantly, biting her lip thoughtfully as she made her way into the ensuite bathroom and turned on the tap, the water turning pink as she held her hands over it and scrubbed them clean, "I made sure he didn't hurt anyone... I don't know what he'll do next."

"He's the one who hurt Kakashi-san."

"Yeah, yeah he is." Naruto sighed heavily. "Do me favour and please don't tell my mom or Kakashi-sensei what happened."

"You want me to lie?"

"I know it's a lot to ask." Naruto shook her head as she finished washing the blood off of her hands, "But... I need to figure out how to deal with this stuff."

"Did something happen? I mean obviously something happened but-"

"It was... we didn't fight. I talked to him."

"You... you brought him to the Inauguration to see Rin and Kakashi." Karin said slowly, "Is there-"

"It's complicated Karin. Please don't ask I don't..." she thought about how much pain her mom and Kakashi still felt over Obito's death.

Hell from what she knew Kakashi had gone so far as to copy Obito's old habits as a way to honor him, he spent a lot of time at the memorial stone because of Obito.

It would break him to learn what his old teammate had become.

She couldn't do it. She couldn't tell them not yet she didn't know how to even put the truth into words. She couldn't hurt them like that.

No. No it would be better for her to keep it a secret for now, from her mom and Kakashi at least. Until she knew more about what Obito would do next. If he tried to come after her family she'd kill him, if not... she could figure out what to do then. Hopefully he'd stay away for a while-he'd seemed pretty distracted and upset so maybe.

She had to hope didn't she?

"Naruto-chan..." Karin stared at her. "Something big happened I know it did.. you know you're not alone in whatever it is right? You can tell us."

"Karin-chan." Naruto closed her eyes, bracing herself against the sink and leaning over it slightly. "I... I appreciate it I really do but I can't right now." she shook her head, "There's a lot going on in my head and I... I can't discus it with you." her voice was apologetic. "Or anyone right now. I just need to process."

"I.. .okay." Karin nodded, "Do you need any-"

"No thanks I should be okay. I just want some space right now I think."

"Right." Karin nodded, "I... I'll let you rest." she left the room quickly, shutting the door behind her.

Naruto let out a breath and lifted her head, looking into them mirror. Then she sighed to herself, letting out a slow breath, forcing herself to calm down as she got to work getting changed out of her Kimono, screwing it up and shoving it under her bed so that she could wash it herself and avoid her mom seeing the blood-there would be some difficult to answer questions if Rin saw it-especially since her mom just thought she hadn't been feeling well-which might cause some questions in and of itself after all Kurama tended to make sure she didn't get knocked down by sickness very often.

Then again she could claim that it was because Kurama couldn't heal her up like usual still-and he really wouldn't be able to do it properly anyway. After all he'd given up an entire tails worth of Chakra just to help her father stay around a bit longer.

That thought made her smile softly to herself as she slipped out of her kimono before pulling the pins out of her hair, letting it cascade over her shoulders and down her back before she quickly pulled on a pair of pajamas and made her way to bed, slipping into it and letting herself breath.
It had been a long day-an emotional one, she really didn't appreciate having so many bombshells dropped all at once it wasn't fun, finding out the truth about Obito, meeting her father-and that thought brought a tiny little giddy grin to her lips.

She'd met her father, sure she felt totally emotionally drained now but she had officially met her father, something which she'd never imagined she'd get the chance to do.

She'd hugged him and he'd hugged her and she'd not give that up for all the world.

And Kurama! She'd never ever forget the amazing gift he'd given her by infusing her fathers chakra imprint with his own chakra to allow it to last longer.

She'd be able to have him there for at least one big day someday, and she'd get to meet her mom too-though she'd never expect Kurama to do the same thing again.

She let out a soft happy little noise, deciding to dwell on the good things in her life rather than the unpleasant ones.

Forget about Obito. Forget about the anger and injustice, she could be happy for now and deal with that stuff later. She'd tell Tsunade at least... but not yet. No she couldn't deal with it yet, with the questioning and the pity she'd undoubtedly receive.

Just as she was starting to drift off she heard the door opening downstairs and she heard voices and she sighed to herself, shifting and sitting up in
her bed as she heard the rapid clatter of footsteps coming up the stairs, and then there was a knock on the door and Naruto opened her eyes, groaning to herself and lifting her head, "C'mon in mom."

The door swung open and Rin stepped into the room, shutting the door behind her. "How are you feeling honey?"

"Crappy." Naruto snuggled further beneath her bed covers, using it as an excuse not to turn her head and look at her mom-she felt guilty for the fact that she planned on not telling her about Obito's survival. But... she could picture the pain on her moms face when she found out, could imagine how it would break the wonderful woman who was Naruto's world and she couldn't bring herself to say the words

"That's unusual for you." Rin perched on the edge of the bed, "It must have come on quite fast."

"Kurama's not protecting me like usual. He's still using most of his Chakra to heal." Naruto pointed out softly.

"Of course. And you've been through a lot lately haven't you." Rin's voice was soft, "Do you want anything? Food or drink?"

"Can I maybe just have some water."

"Of course." Rin nodded. "You sure you don't want anything else?"

"Yeah mom... how did the Inauguration go?"

"Perfectly, though I noticed that Danzo looked rather annoyed. I believe she's planning on dealing with him today."

Naruto closed her eyes, resisting the urge to groan as she pushed herself up into a sitting position, "I thought she'd wait until tomorrow."

"No, she wants to get him dealt with."

"What will she do?"

"He'll be executed on the spot for treason. She's got a lot of evidence that she's having brought into the light, starting with the Uchiha Massacre."

"Right." Naruto nodded slowly, shifting so that she was sitting with her legs crossed and she looked at her mom, and Rin frowned.

"You look drained honey." she reached out and pressed her hand to Naruto's forehead, "You don't feel too warm, that's a good sign at least, but you should get some sleep."

"If Danzo's being dealt with today then maybe I should go find Sasuke-kun-"

"Not a chance." Rin pushed Naruto's shoulder, "You settle into bed. I can send Karin out to get Sakura and Sasuke. Mind you he should be on his way home soon anyway, I know he said he was just going to check in with Sakura before coming home-I think he wanted to ask Tsunade when she plans on dealing with Danzo."

"Right. If he has Sakura-chan with him she should be able to deal with him." Naruto said slowly, nodding her head and shifting in her seat. "Even if he gets really worked up. I hope."

"I'm sure she can handle it." Rin said gently, "You need rest Naruto-chan."

"I dunno. It feels wrong, me not being there."

"I'll get Karin to go and fetch them. He shouldn't be there when it happens anyway."

"We can have a team seven movie night or something."

"Now that sounds perfect." Rin's voice was firm and she kissed the top of Naruto's head, "I have plans to teach Karin some medical jutsu later so she won't join, but that's probably better for Sasuke-kun, he'll probably want just his team he's not exactly friends with Karin yet. She's still pissed at him for upsetting you that time."

"It's sweet how protective she is." Naruto admitted softly, brushing her hair out of her face, "Will you be okay if Sasuke-kun crashes in here tonight."

"Given the fact that Sakura-chan will be in here too and I know you three are more like siblings than anything else I'm sure I'm fine with it." Rin gave an smiled little smile, standing up, "Now you get some rest, I'll ask Karin to go and get them."

"Thank you mom."

"You try and have a little nap for now." Rin made her way to the door and left, shutting it behind her and Naruto slumped back in her bed, closing her eyes and letting herself just lay there.

Well, at least her mom hadn't realized that she was holding something back, that was good.

Now if only she could get a bit of a nap while she was waiting for her friends to come home.

It was perhaps just under an hour before the new knocking at her bedroom door woke Naruto up, and she groaned as she lifted her head and called out. "Come in!"

The door opened and Sasuke and Sakura tumbled in, Sakura almost pushing Sasuke inside. "Get in there Sasuke-kun-"

"I'm moving I'm moving!" Sasuke swatted at Sakura's hands, "Stop it I'm not going to try and run back there okay?"

"Hey." Naruto yawned as she pushed herself up into a sitting position, "How are you guys feeling?"

"You mean how is Sasuke-kun feeling." Sakura pointed out looking faintly amused-and Sasuke frowned slightly.

"You know it's today then."

"Mom told me. I would have came to find you myself but-"

"Karin-chan said you weren't feeling well." Sakura was moving, scrambling onto Naruto's bed, "I was so worried during the Inauguration when you left like that."

"I'm sorry." Naruto shook her head, "I really am sorry I just... it's been a really long few weeks and Kurama's not at full strength so I don't feel so good."

"Tell me about it." Sasuke moved to join them, climbing onto the large bottom bunk of the bed-Naruto had insisted on bunk beds because Sakura kept staying, but they were gigantic bunk beds, on more than one occasion she and Sakura had ended up sharing the bed more than once and there was more than enough space, it was a bit tighter with all three of them but they did fit.

""How do you feel?"

"I want to be there to see it happen." Sasuke admitted, "I want to watch him die and know that there's finally some justice for my family but..."

"But that's not actually a good idea." Naruto finished for him, "He's being dealt with Sasuke-kun, you'll get the justice you need even if you're not actually there."

"It just doesn't feel..." Sasuke shrugged, "But she won't let me be there I asked repeatedly."

"I guess it doesn't help that there's a lot more than just the Uchiha situation he's being held accountable for." Sakura spoke up logically, "Obviously that's super bad and all but Danzo's done a lot of things I've heard her groaning about the amount of damage he'd done and how half of it wouldn't even be able to be made public."

"He should have been dealt with long ago." Naruto's voice was soft, "The moment the Sandaime found out what he did to Itachi Danzo should have been executed for his crimes. Forcing a child to wipe out his entire family.. that's sick."

"It is." Sasuke nodded, leaning into Naruto's side. "Tsunade-sama said she'd clear Itachi's name. She promised."

"Then she will." Sakura's voice was firm, "I don't think Tsunade-sama would ever break a promise like that."

"Good." Sasuke let out a slow breath, "Thank you, for... Y'know."

"Being good friends." Naruto rested her head on Sasuke's shoulder, "So, movie night anyone?"

"Sounds good to me." Sakura grinned, "Think your mom has popcorn?"

"You go ask mom and Sasuke-kun can put on a movie."

"Why do I have to do it?"

"I'm very unwell you can't ask me to do it!" Naruto pouted at him, "That would just be cruel."

"You're such a loser." Sasuke hopped off the bed and Sakura made her way out of the room, and all three of them were determined to have a peaceful happy night to get away from the stress of the real world and of what was happening that very night.

Away from monsters like Danzo and Obito who couldn't hurt them right now.
