This is a follow-up of drabble n°96, "Honeymaren visits Arendelle's castle for the first time" :D Coz I got inspired and I'm a drama sucker.

"I want to show you something." Smiled Anna to Honeymaren.

She gave her a pair of gloves, which were surprisingly clean for something the redhead had just descended from the dusty attic.

"Do you know what they are?"

Honeymaren took some time to inspect the gloves in her hands. She observed them and it clicked in her mind. "Yes, I do. Elsa told me about them during a confession time."

Anna smiled. This helped that she didn't need to explain, and she also mentally took note of how cute it was that her elder had felt confident enough to share this hurtful part of her life.

"What do you notice?" She asked the Northuldra.

"They're very beautiful, the details and seams intricate..."

"What else?" Inquired the Queen, seeing well that Honeymaren was beating around the bush.

"They're incredibly thin."

"Exactly."

The brunette lifted her eyes from the gloves, staring at Anna, remembering their discussion earlier while Elsa was busy in another room.

"There's no way it physically stopped magic." Muttered Honeymaren in a gasp.

Anna smiled at her cleverness, but also some sadness. "Nothing can. Nothing can stop magic, especially hers. Love helped her accept it, and understanding made her love it. But the gloves never were useful. And... You know what?"

"What?" Murmured the brunette, emotional.

"I'm sure that she knew it."

The Northuldra gulped, and looked down at the gloves again. Her hold squeezed on them.

A knock went at the door. The sisters exchanged a curious frown, interrupting their discussion. That wasn't a knock pattern they knew from anyone of the staff, nor Kristoff, or even Olaf.

"Come in", invited Anna.

"Hi..." Entered Honeymaren timidly. "I'm sorry, I can't find sleep, and I wondered if..."

"I understand, please step in." Smiled Elsa warmly.

Her younger turned her head to her, a smile curling the corner of her lips at the way she cared. She then turned again to the queasy Northuldra. "Is everything okay in the guest room? Elsa insisted on preparing it for you in person, despite the maids' insistence..."

She received a nudge of the blonde's elbow right in the ribs, and smirked.

"Am I disturbing?" Asked Honeymaren, so polite it made their hearts melt.

"Not at all." Urged to reply Elsa. "It's just some late-at-night sisters chat."

"Actually, we're done, and I'll leave you two alone." Smiled Anna, bouncing down the bed on which they had been sitting.

They weren't done talking at all, not that the subject was very important and couldn't be delayed to the following breakfast, so it made Elsa give her a look. Anna purposely looked elsewhere and walked directly to the door, waving good night to Honeymaren. She even closed the door, and now the two women were in the same room and in an awkward silence.

"So, uhm-"

"Do you-"

"No, you first."

"I insist, talk first. You're the guest, after all."

Now Honeymaren smiled timidly. "Yes, about that... Sorry, it might be the context of the castle, but I really can't find sleep."

Elsa stood up from the bed. "It's okay. I'm the one who's sorry to not have thought of that before. I did everything to make the bedroom comfortable, but I should have guessed that you would find it weird, just like on the first night I slept in the Forest."

"Yes." Simply answered Honeymaren, still at the same position she was near the door.

"You can come further, you know?" Teased Elsa. "I don't bite."

The brunette chuckled with an exhale, and stepped forward.

"Well, there was a long time in my childhood where I'd do my best to keep people away from me..." Shrugged the Snow Queen. "But this time is long past."

She pat-patted the place next to her on the bed, sitting again, to make the Northuldra as welcome as her own sister.

"So that's your room?"

"Yep." Smiled Elsa.

Honeymaren took a full minute to admire her surroundings, and the blonde didn't detach her eyes from her face as she did. She startled and blushed when the chestnut eyes suddenly turned to her. "Uh?"

"You know..."

"Uhm?" Muttered Elsa, blushing even more when she noticed she couldn't form sentences properly.

"This particular setting isn't the only reason why I couldn't sleep. I was thinking..."

"About what?" Frowned the blonde.

Honeymaren went straight to the point. "Anna showed me your gloves."

Elsa's expression completely changed, her eyes wide. "She did?! Oh my goodness, this rascal... I'm gonna-"

"No, it's fine! I mean... I'm glad she did."

Another silence passed.

"I'm always willing to know more about you."

Her soft eyes stared into Elsa's again. "Would you mind telling me more about it?"
