THIS THE LAST CHAPTER OF THE MAIN STORY BUT NOT THE LAST UPDATE OF THE ENTIRETY OF MY GL TRILOGY. THERE WILL BE AN EPILOGUE. I really thought I was going to finish this last chapter in five pages but NOPE. Turned out to be 13 pages! But instead of splitting it and making you wait for the next one, I just decided best to post the entire rest of the finale episode in one go. Also, it's New Years Eve. I think it's best to finish the year by finishing of this fanfic that has been five years in the making! I'll get more sappy at the end notes but for now, it's time to see our deserved happily ever after.

Grim T Reaper: I'm glad you said that, it means i've been able to write the villain well. Every villain's got a motive, in the end it just depends on whether they're willing to change.

Guest: Aw thank you so much :D Years of studying how to write and tell stories for animation paid off ahaha. Thank you so much for reading! And looks like you didn't have to wait long for the final chapter. Though sadly it is the final chapter, but I do have an epilogue coming right after. I hope you enjoy it all.

Finale Episode: Where There is Light… (part 7)

(Song to Listen to: "Master Piece Theater III" by Marianas Trench)

All those who had returned to the living as White Lanterns surrounded Aya as The Entity formed around her. All the other Lanterns watched curiously, wondering what was going to happen next. Tai'le left Bothe's side, but not before Bothe stopped her and asked, "What's going on?" Chaselon also tried to stop his friend from leaving him, but Larvox gave a simple shake of his head before flying towards The Entity.

Mary noticed the friends and family the White Lanterns behind called out to them, some starting to cry. She pulled away from the group hug she and her crew were in. She needed to looking at Hal to understand what was happening. The sad smile he gave her said everything. "You can't stay…"

Carol, who had watched the group hug from afar, now came closer to see why the group pulled away. Hal faced his friends to say, "To come back as a White Lantern meant coming back to preserve life. Now that we completed our goal-"

"No," Carol interrupted as she flew to Hal, pushing past his friends so that she could hug him. "No, no you can't just leave. We just got you back." She buried her face into his shoulder.

Hal hugged her back. "I know." He looked up at Killowag, Razer, and Mary as they looked at Hal with quivering lips or heads slightly bowed. "I want to stay with all of you." He pulled away from Carol and put a hand to her cheek. "And there have been so many times I've imagined spending the rest of my days with you, Carol." He looked back at The Entity. All the White Lanterns behind them were waiting, trying to stay expressionless as they held back their sadness. "But to preserve life doesn't mean controlling it. Death is a part of life, no matter how unfair it can be. We're only human. So… I have to accept my death and to let you go… and… you have to let me go."

Carol sniffled as she put her hand on Hal's hand on her cheek, letting her head rest there. She closed her eyes, trying to push back the idea of Hal and her together. Married. Raising children like Mary. But as soon as it was there it couldn't leave. How could it? It had always been there, even though she had been too afraid to admit it in fear it could never truly work out. "Hal, I love you too much to let you go."

Hal had heard her say it once before, but this time was different. He was letting it all go just as he got this feeling he had been waiting for from his one true love for so long. The will to stay together, no matter what. He leaned down and Carol immediately came closer to his face. The two exchanged a short, but gentle kiss. When they pulled away, Carol quickly looked The Entity waiting not far behind Hal. He was right, no matter how much she wanted to deny it so that he could stay. "I'll let you go, but I'll never stop loving you." Hal smiled.

Mary quickly flew around them to give a very tight hug that he returned. "I love you, Dad," Mary managed to say.

"Love you, too, my daughter." When Hal let go, he began to fly backward. "Take care of each other."

"I will," Carol and Mary said in unison. The two looked at each other in surprise before they sought comfort in each other's embrace. Killowag and Razer came to surround them, hand on their back to let them know they'd look out for them too.

Seeing them all together, he wanted to stop right there. But no matter how much he'd miss his family, it wasn't his choice to stay. "Goodbye," he finally before turning to face The Entity. He looked at Aya within the body of The Entity, her eyes closed. The Entity itself looked down at Hal as he bowed his head. "I'm ready."

The Entity just stayed there, unmoving. Everyone became a bit restless and the awkward pause. Then Aya's eyes opened. She remained inside The Entity form but as her hand moved, so did The Entity's hand. With palm facing up, they beckoned Hal closer. He complied, though he was confused by such request. He put his ring hand on theirs and waited as their giant thumb covered his hand.

Suddenly, the white glow of Hal's personal shield began to turn green, followed by his suite. The White Lantern emblem on his chest turned back into the Green Lantern one. What had felt like the power of the stars coursing through his body went away as he felt the familiarity of willpower. "What's going on

"You're being discharged from the White Lantern Corps," Aya said, though her voice was joined with an echo of another's voice. The entity spoke through her. She flew back so that The Entity's hand slid away from its grasp on Hal. In their hand was Hal's white ring, leaving him to wear his green one. Then the being turned around and raised their big hand towards the White Lanterns behind them. "All of you."

They watched surprised as their White Rings were pulled from their fingers by an invisible force, leaving them all with their respective Corp rings. As soon as Larfleeze's suture turned orange, he reached out to grab his white ring floating away. "Mine!" but a swift slap on the head from Sinestro made the orange lantern stay still.

The Entity raised all the white rings above their head as Hal asked, "Why?"

"As The Entity of Life, I must preserve life. How can I say that and take your life away again after you've all proven yourself?"

"Proven? Proven what?"

"The Energy of Life has never been put into a ring for one to wield before today. I had to make sure that if I was to fuel such rings, they had to be beared by those willing to face the cycle of life in all its stages. You were all ready to return to Silver City so long as Nekron was defeated and your allies survived. A selfless act must be rewarded." The white rings all released a burst of energy before disappearing and leaving star dust where they once were.

Lanterns all around got excited, flying over to their comrades who had finally returned to them. Felidae brought Kabo and Arbog into friendly headlocks as Skallox pulled Veon and Bleez into a tight hug. Sapphire Bothe and Tai'le cried tears of joy in each other's embrace as Chaselon and Larvox began to talk excitedly.

When it came to the Lanter Leaders, their respective Corps came around and cheered for them. Well, not all of them. Arkillo left behind the Yellow Lanterns cheering Sinestro and went to the Blue Lanterns. He pushed past Brother Warth and Hym and grabbed SaintWalker in a tight hug. Without warning, he gave the trailhead a big, slimy kiss on the cheek.

Hal couldn't believe what was happening, he had to make sure. "Isn't that cheating on your part. Even if your giving life to preserve it, shouldn't the cycle of life run its course?"

The Entity chuckled. "Maybe, unless you forget that there must be a balance. So many lives have been taken and used as puppets by his hands. The only way to start bringing balance again was to return the lives lost on this battlefield. That's why I showed up in the end. Aya's willpower to protect her family may have woken us up from our slumber, but I made the choice to reveal myself to Nekron. So that I may repair the damage he has done."

"So the Black Lanterns, you'll revive them too?"

The Entity shook their head. "There time had come long before they became Black Lanterns. I will make sure Nekron lays their bodies to rest so that their souls may travel to their final destination."

Hal nodded. Then he felt it. The feeling of relief and joy that he can be with his crew. His daughter. His love. Before he could turn around to go back to them, he felt big arms grab him from behind and lift him up. "Jordan!"

"Killowag, I can't breathe, I can't breath!"

The Bullivaxion only relaxed his hold on him to give Mary and Carol room to come in. Carol kissed him quickly before resting her head below his chin and putting a hand on his chest. Mary laughed, though a few joyous tears fell, as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "It makes sense, it all makes sense."

"What does?"

"When I saw you, only you, in the Path to Silver City. You were never meant to die, not now at least."

Hal hugged her back and said, "You really have become the most powerful Sighter."

Razer came and raised a hand to Hal, which he returned by grabbing his hand and pulling it so they gave a small arm wrestle handshake. Razer only let go to look at Aya. She was still within the Entity, eyes open though watching the scene unfold. He slowly flew to her but kept a distance. "What does this mean for Aya?" Razer asked hesitantly. "If she died long ago does that mean you'll take her…"

Aya smiled and shook her head. The Entity spoke, "You said it yourself once, Razer. Aya was never truly gone. After all, I chose to give her a living body not only to act as my vessel..."

Suddenly the giant being surrounding Aya disappeared into countless bright lights, leaving Aya to go wide-eyed and hold her throat as she started choking. Razer immediately came forward and grabbed her in his arms to surround them both in his personal shield. Aya took a deep breath and recuperated by resting her head on his chest. The little starlights came together as one glowing light, and a male and female voice both replied, "I chose her for her selfless act to save life at the cost of her android vessel, I reward her with true life."

Aya blinked her eyes opened and slowly raised her head from where it lay. Razer looked down at her to see her open her right hand that had been in a fist. There was a white ring, but there was no emblem of any kind etched in. Both looked at it in curiosity before Razer got an idea and smiled Aya.

The one bright glow hovered away from the two lovers and began to raise itself high above everyone. Lanterns watched as it glowed brighter and brighter before they all had to shield their eyes. "Farewell, protectors of life. Never forget to live." White light blanketed the starry skies.

))))))))))))))))) - ((((((((((((((((((

With wounds healed and order restored, everyone was ready to celebrate… if they all weren't so bone tired. So it was decided first for everyone to return home via Indigo and Sapphire portals. Especially since all the Entities were finally safe to return to their Central Batteries.

On Ysmault, Cleric Loren chanted in front of the red battery as Atrocitus watched the giant bull form of Butcher leave his ring and move back into the battery. On Odym Saintwalker and Ganthet talked and laughed as they watched as Adara curled up inside the battery like a bird in its nest. On Okara, Larfleeze slept soundly curled up around his personal battery though sometimes he'd hit the top of it like an alarm clock whenever Ophidian got restless.

Sinestro was more than happy to get rid of Parallax. As soon as the Entity of Fear was in the central battery on Qward, Sinestro flew home to Korugar to hug Arin Sur and hold little Soranik in his arms. Indigo-1 made sure everyone, from B-0's droids to the Gorgs, were returned home before she and the Indigo Tribe got back to Nok. She found Notroma meditating over the battery. "Abin Sur would be proud," he said. Indigo smiled, not in sadness but pride. Then she put the tip of her staff to touch the glass window of the battery so that Proselyte returned.

On Oa, the final repairs of the central battery were completed on schedule. Tapping into ancient magic, the Guardians surrounded the battery with Syad using instruction Ganthet gave her to prepare the battery for Ion's return. Kyle stood in front of the glass, seeing his reflection before looking down at his ring. "You've always been there from the start, Ion. I'm gonna miss you, buddy." He put his ring to the glass and watched as the battery lit up for the first time since it had been destroyed months ago.

Syad brought her hands up and then to the side. The exhaust vent below the battery allowed energy to drop like a waterfall from the tower it was on. When it hit the ground far below, the energy seeped through. The underground tunnels lit up once again to bring life to Oa. A load groan echoed all around and everyone looked to the skies. The signature giant ring with the green lantern symbol surrounded Mogo once again.

Syad sighed in relief, then noticed Razer and Aya walking up to her. Razer handed her Aya's logo-less ring. "Ganthet always spoke highly of your good intuition," he said.

Then Aya stepped forward and asked, "I want to be a Green Lantern. I want to serve and help."

Syad smiled and looked at Aya endearingly. "Child, you've always been a Green Lantern."

Kyle had been oblivious to everything around him the entire time as he watched Ion swim peacefully within the battery. Suddenly, two hands fell on his shoulder and he looked back to see Guy and John. "Come on, kid, don't be so glum. Ion's safe."

"Yeah…" Kyle tried to say with a smile, but it only came out crocked. "They became my best friend. We looked out for each other."

"And you'll keep looking out for each other," John said.

Guy added, "So long as your will is strong." Kyle never thought of it that way. A smile crept up and he looked fondly at his ring.

"Green Lanterns of Earth." John, Kyle, and Guy turned to see the Guardians come up to them. Appa said, "We know you all have yet to rest after such stressing days, but we think it best to tell you now so that you can proceed as you see fit."

"Tell us what?" John asked.

Appa pulled out a small half circle device that projected information. As Kyle leaned down and began to read it, Guy chuckled. "Ha! A new mission already? Hey John, you think your family can wait another few hours without you?"

"I'm still going to see my wife and girls soon, no doubt about it, but-"

Kyle interrupted John by asking allowed, "Who's Simon Baz?"

Guy and John finally leaned in and read what Kyle read. Then the image of a human man replaced the information displayed. They all yelled, "Another human Green Lantern?!"

On Zamaron, the Sapphires all cheered in joy as Predator was put back in the Central Battery. Then they all gathered at the foot of the steps to the Palace. At the top was Carol with Agapo facing her, saying "We could not have asked for a better leader in this great time of need, Carol Ferris. Are you sure you do not wish to remain so?"

Carol quickly waved her hands, "Oh, no. As much as I loved taking the lead, I've had enough for one lifetime. You have more experience after all. But I will take what I've learned back to Earth. It's time I forged my own path there. Especially with the one I love."

"May the Sapphire ring serve your people well. And please, do come to visit."

Moments later Carol had taken a love portal back to Earth. She expected to be in Hal's apartment but she found herself on the Ferris Air hanger, watching the sunrise. She loved the sunset here, so to see the sun go up was mesmerizing. "Wow…" but wondering why she was here, she looked around. Hal was on the other side of the roof and was already flying towards her. She asked, "Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at home resting for the ceremony tomorrow?"

"True, but I had a feeling you'd take a portal back to my place. And I want to do this at a special place-"

Turning beat red, Carol brushed back some loose hair and said, "I'll try my best not to teleport all the time so that I don't accidentally pop in and…" Carol faltered, her brow raised as she pondered. "What do you mean by 'do this'? Do what?"

Hal stopped just in front of her and let the green suite disappear. He was in his aviator outfit as usual, but Carol noticed something in his hand. A silver ring. Not a lantern ring, but a simple silver ring with a sapphire pink gem with two smaller emerald green ones on either side. As Hal slowly got down on one knee, Carol's mind was racing but there was one clear idea in her head at what was going to happen.

As her hands flew to her mouth in shock, Hal began, "I really meant what I said, I've imagined the rest of our lives together. Because from day one you took a chance on me, never let me lose my way since then. And I've seen you become stronger, be a leader, and still stay true to yourself. The fiesty, snarky, caring you that I fell head over heels for in this very building." Hal held the ring up higher. "Carol Ferris… of Earth…"

Carol let out a small laugh but it was followed by a choked sob as she tried to hold back tears of joy. As soon as Hal asked, "Would you marry me?" Carol yelled, "YES!" Her sapphire suite immediately disappeared and she kneeled down to kiss him. They kept their lips locked in place as they stood back up, all the while three pairs of eyes watched from the edge of the roof. Mary, Vivian, and Cody stayed flying below their line of sight, spying on the proposal. Vivian and Mary only looked away to grab each other's hands and squeal as silently as they could. Cody gave a small laugh.

Cody and Vivian returned to their families, giving them the exciting news that the galaxy had been saved. Mary and Hal then called the Justice League letting them know the same thing. For the rest of the day, they slept in the hours lost. At least until noon when Hal and Mary woke up to eat breakfast and they heard a knock at the door. Even though she was in her nightgown, Mary opened the door to find all Vivian, Tommy, Sam, Katrina, Rogen, Clyde, Leo, and Cody were all there giving her impatient looks. Sammy was the one to say, "Are you really going to celebrate the end of summer vacation and not walking the Stairway to Heaven by eating cereal?"

Mary looked to Hal in the kitchen who gave her a nod of approval. Then she looked back at her friends. "Ok, let me get changed and call Hailey and Charles."

Rogen then added, "And…"

Mary sighed, "Ok, I'll call The Team, too."

Only half an hour later did the Circle of friends arrive at the ice cream parlor that was across the street from their old middle school. When Charles and Hailey arrived, they took up two entire tables outside the shop. And then two more tables had to join together as Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Artemis, M'gann, Superboy, and Red Arrow came in their civilian clothes. Mary looked around. Everyone all talked, laughed, and enjoyed the day together. She breathed in the air, feeling absolute bliss. This was it. This what it meant to be alive. It couldn't get any better than this. Then Mary took a glance at Cody sitting next to her.

)))))))))))))))) Oa (((((((((((((((

"Our Green Lantern Corp!" Appa began his speech from on top of the podium. Lanterns from every Corp that had crowded the mess hall now turned to the Guardians up on stage. Realizing his mistake, Appa cleared his throat and said, "Sorry, I mean to say fellow Lanterns from all across the Stars. I thank you all for coming. There are no words to describe the utmost gratitude we, the Guardians, have for your bravery in yesterday's battle. Your perseverance throughout this entire war shall never be forgotten."

Sayd then stepped up. "Let it be recorded in the Book of Oa that we celebrate the end of this great war, the War for Life, by Standing Together, Undivided. In this way, we will never forget the allies we have throughout this vast galaxy."

Then it was Ganthet's turn. "You are all heroes today, enjoy yourself. Now as they say on Earth, let's pop the bottle!" Mary, who stood up front, facepalmed. Even though a small smile kept up on her face.

The spirits were passed around and food was shared as lanterns gathered at the tables. One table in the center had been reserved for the Interceptor crew and friends. Hal and Carol were across from Razer and Aya watching as Mary and Killowag finished talking with Tomar'Re before they both waved goodbye to the Fishman and went to join the others. "It's a madhouse here," Mary said as she and Killowag sat across from each other. "Even though I knew there were going to be thousands of us, I still didn't imagine us having to expand the party down to the second floor."

"Unimaginable would have been something I've said two years ago," Killowag began, "When we thought we were the only Lanterns and in this part of the galaxy alone. Now there are more, and even more so… look how we've come together."

The group looked around at the crowded mess Hall. They saw Kehann and Salaak sitting across from each other at a table talking and eating. All of a sudden Ch'p jumped onto their table, gave a friendly squeak of greeting, before jumping away. Then B'Shi followed behind the impact of her hitting the table making food splatter all over Ke'haan and Salaak. "Come back here!" she yelled as she jumped away, leaving the two men to shake their heads.

Ch'p ended up jumping on to the hat of Duke Nigel, but he was too invested in talking with B-0 about their fascination for inventing along with Gil Broome and Lady Catherine. Not too far away, B'Shi had gone underneath a table that Larvox and Chaselon sat by. They didn't notice her but what did grab their attention was Larfleeze jumping out of nowhere and hugging Chaselon. "Shiny!" he yelled. Chaselon froze but Larvox passed out.

Indigo-1 and Monk came by to help pry Larfleeze off Chaselon and help Larvox back up. Indigo spotted Sinestro at a table nearby, giving him a bow. Sinestro bowed his head in return, then winced when the table he was at shook violently. He scuffed but smiled as he watched his fellow yellow lantern Felidae arm wrestle with Skallox of the Reds. Veon and Bleeze cheered their red comrade on as Arbog and Kabo would fist bump behind Felidae. The catgirl got the upper hand, cheering once she won.

Felidae heard cheering from not too far off and looked to see Laira, Sister Sercy, Arisia, and Karu Sil had been cheering for her too. They were joined by Bothe, Tail'e, and Leida of the Sapphires who laughed watching their new friends celebrate. They suddenly heard music playing and watched Brother Hym dance by with his stringed instrument. He only stopped to sit next to Brother Warth who was busy talking with SaintWalker. The tailhead sat side by side with Arkillo, letting the giant yellow lantern put an arm around him.

Hearing the lovely music, Iollande had sat down to join them followed by her brother. Ragnar offered her some fruit which she took right away. They didn't speak but stayed together as they listened to Hym play. At one point they looked up at the skylight above, looking at Mogo in awe as the giant loomed over Oa.

Even if he was too big to party with them, he could at least be there in spirit. And the criminals who still remained on his surface were having their own little get together. Drusa had invited others to gather around a fire to roast food, much to Zartock's chagrin.

Back on Oa and in the Mess Hall, the Interceptor crew were busy looking up to Mogo through the skylight when suddenly a shadow loomed behind Hal and Carol. As they both turned to see who it was, Razer's fist clenched. Atrocitus stood there, the side of his face not scarred revealing a deep frown. Zox was behind him, looking slightly nervous "Hey…" Hal began, "Atrocitus… I'm guessing since the war is over… and the deal is done-"

"I'd rather be thrown in jail again than to consider the Guardians as allies. But the Red Lantern Corp does stand with you, the Green Lanterns. You've proven yourselves. But if the Guardians slip again, I won't hesitate to call my Red Lanterns to arms." he received nothing but wide eyes. Even Hal was at a loss for words. He definitely got his message across, but with no one responding Atrocitus quickly bowed his head and began to walk off. "Enjoy your…. Party…"

As Zilluos Zox followed after his master, he gave a small salute to Mary who returned it with her own. Once the reds were out of earshot, Hal turned to Killoag and said. "Yeah, Unimaginable. Right back at you Killowag. Honestly, it's just nice to have the team back." A few lanterns came to join them. Galia went to sit right next to Killowag. Kreaven stood by Razer. Cody and Vivian joined Mary on either side of her. And finally, Ganthet came. "Well, plus a few good friends."

"Yep, all of us," Killowag said, "So don't go running off again, Razer."

"I have no reason to go anywhere else," The Blue Lantern replied. On cue, Aya shuffled even closer to Razer so that he could put an arm around her.

"Yeah, no, please," Mary begged, "You better stay here together. Better yet, get married and then take your honeymoon. It's a thing on Earth where you spend LONG time alone together at a special, and SAFE, place."

Everyone laughed knowing where Mary was going with this, and then Aya said, "It does sound like a beautiful Earth custom, Green Lantern Mary, but…" Razer smiled as she faltered, holding out his hand to encourage her. Aya took the gesture, resting her hand on his. A shiny-looking green ring with the Green Lantern emblem was etched in.

All eyes were directed right towards it before everyone started to congratulate Aya. "Your dream came true, Aya!" Mary exclaimed.

Hal asked, "So what's your first take as a newly minted Green Lantern going to be?"

"Guardian Syad suggested I help with others like myself. After all, I once tried to appeal to Manhunters. To make them see that they were more than their own programming like I had seen myself when I was an android. B-0 and his Automatons are proof that there are others like us capable of change. I want to see that throughout the Galaxy."

Vivian pulled out a tissue, Aya's words making her cry a little. Hal added, "I can't wait to see it too, Aya. Though you better on call when we need you to stop the bad guys. Right, Razer?" Razer looked away, biting his lip nervously. Everyone saw it, getting nervous themselves.

Knowing he had been put on the spot, Razer worked up the courage to look up and say, "I would love nothing more than to spend every moment with you, my family. But the truth is I spent most of my life thinking that the only way to help others was to fight. Even as Blue Lantern that thought remained. But all my experiences have made me see another path. I will join Aya in her ventures to spread peace in war-torn planets. After all, my duty as a Blue Lantern requires I find the next recruit. I will be there to leaned a peaceful hand, but if you must end up raising fists, I will politely ask to step back."

"Mighty words, my blue brother," Kreaven said as he tossled some of Razer's hair playfully.

Hal nodded, "You've come a long way, Kid. I'll honor your request." Hearing Aya and Razer talk made Vivian create a construct tissue to wipe away some incoming tears. She then offered to Mary who was just about ready to do the same.

After Razer finished, Killowag rubbed the back of his neck and said, "Ah, boy, well I might as well come forward while we're at it." Everyone looked confused at Killowag as he stood up. "Look, no matter how crazy these last two years have been, I don't regret any of it. We wouldn't all be here if Jordan hadn't decided to help the Green Lanterns of the Frontier. But that's just it. There are still GL's out there who don't have any training. It's what I love to do, after all. So I put in a request to the Frontier Lantern's first Drill Sergeant."

"All the way in the Frontier…" Mary said sadly. "Will you be ok out there on your own?"

Killowag sat down so that Galia could rest her head on his shoulder. The Gor woman said, "Killowag will be living with me and the Gor. That way I can join him in training Lanterns, especially Sapphire recruits. And I can keep an eye on him." She finished with a wink and then quickly kissed Killowag on the cheek.

Killowag quickly added, "But, hey, don't be afraid to call me up if you need back up. Remember, Jordan, I've had your back since boot camp. I ain't stopping now."

"Oh, I don't doubt it. Because I don't know what you're all worried about. Because as the new Green Lantern Honor Guard in charge of everything from Guardian Space to the Fronter, I'll be taking the Interceptor to check in on all of you."

"What?!" Killowag gasped.

"Since when?" Razer asked.

"About five hours ago. Appa's idea surprisingly. Best part, I get to rub it in Guy's face."

From the crowd of lanterns all around partying, one loud, "You still suck, Hal!" rang out.

Hal scuffed, "He should count himself lucky to still be Guardian Space's Honor Guard. Because John and Kyle are still in charge of Earth. And then there's that new guy."

Mary leaned in, "Well… you're going to need a partner to help you there." She tried to divert her eyes away to not look needy.

"True…." Hal began, then he looked to Carol. "Would love to have my new wife join me in the adventures of outer space."

Killowag leaned over to look at Razer and whispered, "He finally put a ring on it." Then he looked at Mary. "That phrase means they're gonna get married, right?" Mary nodded and gave him a thumbs up.

Carol bopped Hal on the nose while she said, "I'll join you only when I'm sure Earth is safe without me defending it for one day. Can I put in a request, though, that my new partner joins in?" she motioned to Vivian next to Mary.

The Sapphire's head shot up in surprise. Hal responded to Carol, "Request Accepted." Vivian squealed as Mary stopped pretending to be nonchalant and just looked at Hal in anticipation. Hal followed it with, "After all, Carol, your partner is the best friend to the other member of the Honor Guard of the Cosmos."

Mary jumped up to stand on her seat and fist pump in the air. "HELL YEAH!" She proceeded to do a little dance.

"I love when she does that," Aya said to Razer and Killowag.

Ganthet flew up to give the girl a congratulatory hug, "Well done, you."

Then a small voice cut in. "Can I join?" Everyone looked to Cody as he raised his hand ever so slightly above his head. This entire time he had been so quiet, they had almost forgotten he was there. Well except for one. Mary smiled warmly and slowly sat back down to give attention to the young boy. Cody began, "Since I got my ring, I haven't really done much except fight Manhunters and Black Lanterns. I know I can do more but I never really try unless Mary's there- I MEAN-!"

Everyone at the table looked at each other knowingly. Mary didn't however. She wasn't confused, but she didn't look afraid either. She waited patiently with a small smile. Cody tried to continue but it was all stutter. "I mean, when M-Mary and I go on th-those flights together she makes helping people sound so-so much cooler- no not cooler." He looked right at Mary and waved his hands. "The flights are already cool, because you're there. N-not that I mea- I say- what - am I saying- I-"

Mary could see him panicking and she quickly got him to shut up…. By giving him a quick kiss on the lips. Some at the table hooted and whistled and while others looked on in pride. As Mary pulled away, Cody blinked several times and gave her a dumbfounded expression. Mary leaned back to brush aside a loose strand of hair. "I inspire you, is that what you're trying to say?" Cody nodded slowly at first before turning away. "I guess it's safe to say you do the same for me." Cody jolted up in his seat and looked back at her again. "I've always looked for the obvious signs of love in other people and try and help them come together."

"I can attest to that," Razer cut in.

"Ditto," Vivian added.

Mary continued, "But I never understood the subtle, kinder, true feelings of love. So after Ragnar, I became so blind to anything like that happening to me. Sam and Vivian had to outright tell it to my face a year ago that you liked me. And then there was the kiss with Aqualad and that's a whole roller coaster in of itself."

"Wait what-?" Vivian, Hal, and Killowag asked in unison.

Mary was quicker. "I was so afraid of it not working out a third time that I tried to ignore the signs from you, and signs I had it the same for you. But every once in a while I'd remember the little things where I can't help but smile. Our kiss after the Manhunter War. Those friendly flights on Earth. The times you'd tried to help me see I can be loved this way again and not for your sake, but for me. You say you've never done enough. That's not true. You've helped me even when I tried to push you away. You never gave up on me. That's inspiring, and I love that about you. That inspires me. More than inspiring you to fight."

The whole time Cody's grin would get wider and wider to the point his jaw almost hung down. He had only dreamed about this day, though some things she said he didn't expect but it made this so moment so worth waiting for. He told himself he'd wait forever for it if he had to, because all he wanted was the best for Mary. When she said those last words, he immediately jumped in. "No, no it's not just fighting it's… finding something in myself I didn't know I had. I never knew I could stand up for myself, be myself, before I meet you. I would never have gotten this ring If you hadn't given me hope. You are just as inspiring."

Mary gave a small laugh as he gushed. She loved this feeling. She wanted this all to last forever. Cody rubbed the back of his neck and said as confidently as he could, "So you wanna be a thing-"

Vivian had enough, "Oh just be boyfriend and girlfriend and KISS again. I'm dying already!"

Mary and Cody shook their heads before kissing each other again, this time they both leaned into the kiss and kept it going for a few short moments. They only pulled away when Mary's ring lit up. And it wasn't just Mary's. Hal, Killowag, and Aya also suddenly got warnings. "What now?"

It was Syad's voice. "I'm sorry to disturb you during your celebration, but we got an urgent message from one of the farthest corners of Guardians space. The Interceptor is the fastest there is, and your crew the most prepared. Can you take up the task?"

Hal smiled and looked at his team. "You guys ready for one last rodeo?"

This earned him some confused stares as to what that meant, but Killowag was quick to stand and punch his fist into his hand. "If you're asking for us to beat up some Poozers, then my answer is a yes."

Aya looked to Razer, "Just this one time, my love?"

"For you. And for our family." He responded

"Let's go, Let's go!" Mary yelled.

In mere moments, The Interceptor was docked just outside the entrance to the mess hall. Galia, Kreaven, Carol, Vivian, and Cody all went in first. Mary quickly grabbed Killowag, Razer, Aya, and Hal before they went in. She pulled out her phone and said, "Say cheese." Knowing what that meant, they all smiled and Mary pressed the button to take a selfie. "To us, the original Interceptor crew."

Once they were all in, they saw Kreaven, Carol, and Galia far back left as Viviana and Cody at far back right. Mary, Razer, Aya, and Killowag took to the control panel upfront by the window. Hal sat down on the main pilot seat. Aya was quick to type in something on a keyboard and said, "Coordinates locked."

Hal steered the Interceptor away from the building and out of Oa. As he looked on at the star filled sky, he said, "Here's to new adventures." The scene outside turned into a rainbow tunnel and the ship disappeared into ultra wharp.

THE END

*Credits Role*

To the Fanterns… the greatest Lantern Corp in the galaxy.

A.N: READ TO THE END! Just like Hal said, here's to new adventures. Because as much as i'd love to continue, I think it's best to give these characters the ending they deserve. I'm just so glad that even though i've gotten so busy with college and then life these last few years, I still manage to give you readers the conclusion to an amazing series we all love. Especially since Gltas is the animated series that kicked off my fanfic writing career.

I was able to grow as a writer and storyteller by doing so. That's why I had to bring EVERYONE in at the end, from character we met in this story to those all the way back in season 1. From canon characters to my own characters. This is what I want to do for animation, creating stories with lasting friendships. But that means it's time to close this chapter in my life and focus on my career in storytelling for animation. I will take all that i've learned into the future. Who knows…. Perhaps I can actually work on a real GLTAS Season 2.

So in honor of all this, I think you noticed that I redid the image thumbnail for this story so it looks like a poster to the greatest show ever. And lastly, I chose MasterPiece Theater III for the dedicated song this chapter. Even if the words are random, it tells a story. There's epicness, drama, joy, and heart.

Here the story ends for some of you and I thank you for reading, following, favoriting, and leaving reviews (490 omg thank you!) for so long. But if you've read all my other Green Lantern stories with Mary as the narrator I do have a special surprise. An Epilogue! Coming next Monday! YEAH, i'm not kidding. I have the final pages written and a special art piece to show you. Check in on this story then and you'll get to see how Mary, the crew, her friends, and the galaxy are doing after the events of this chapter.

I'll see you all monday! I'm KikaKatTIOI, peace out!
