"Hey Neville, I can't believe I'm asking this, but I need your advice."

Neville frowned, taking in the odd sight of Seamus — flushed and nervous, his hands in his pockets — and asked, "Why me?"

"Because you're the only person I know who's single," Seamus said frankly and Neville bit his lip to prevent a sarcastic Gee, thanks for reminding me from slipping out of his mouth.

"Why can't you ask Dean?"

"Because this is about him," he said, returning to the nervous demeanor. "I — I need love advice."

Neville felt a surge of triumph. Ha! Harry and Ron owe me five Galleons! He met Seamus's eyes, seeing the desperation in them, and opened the door a bit wider. "Fine. Come in."

"You're the best, mate," Seamus murmured as he walked in, past Neville, and dropped heavily onto the couch without taking his coat or shoes off. Stifling an irritated sigh, Neville closed the door and followed him, taking a seat in one of the stuffed armchairs.

"Correct me if I'm wrong," he began, "but how am I, a single person, qualified to give you love advice if I don't have a love life?"

"Because you'd see things from my perspective," Seamus said. "You wouldn't be trying to please your girlfriend by giving me a sugarcoated, cheesy answer."

"...I s'pose that's true," Neville said, softening. "But the question is, do you trust me?"

"I shouldn't, but I do," Seamus said resignedly. "I need this, Neville. How do I go about asking Dean out?"

"...Wow." Seamus leaned back, eyes wide. "I had no idea that you were such a dating expert, Nev."

"Well, let's just say you're not the first person to come to me for advice," Neville told him hoarsely.

"I wonder why no one came to me for advice," Seamus wondered aloud.

Neville barely refrained from rolling his eyes.

At least he was getting ten Galleons out of this.
