Chapter 73

When Liz hit six and a half months, her blood pressure started to spike a bit, so everyone did their best to get whatever she needs, so she could rest and stay calm.

Jason entered the den. "What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to paint my toes, but my belly is in the way. I can't do anything."

He can hear the anger in her tone and wonders what's really going on. "Talk to me."

She throws the polish next to her. "I'm just tired of being stuck here. I want to get out of this house." Everyone buzzing around her is driving her crazy.

"Hold on."

He makes a few phone calls and then to her surprise, he returns and puts flip-flops on her feet.

"What are they for?"

"We're going for a ride."

She perks up. "Really?"

"Yup. Come on."

"I look a mess."

"You look beautiful," he said earnestly. She is wearing comfortable jeans and a plain top and she still could bring him to his knees.

After letting Carina know, they went outside, and he helped her into the car and drove into town.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see."

She doesn't even care that her toenails are jacked up, it feels so good to be anywhere else than in the house.

He pulled into a long driveway and she smiled when she sees the spa.

"Jason!"

"Is it okay? They can do your toes and give you a massage. If you like it, I can make them come to the house whenever you want."

Her eyes pricked with tears. "You are the best husband ever."

"I'll pick you up in two hours."

She claps and gets out as his laughter rang out.

He led her inside and she is fawned over by the male receptionist and the woman who will be doing the pedicure.

"Mr. Morgan, we'll take it from here, and don't worry, we have water and snacks for her if she gets hungry."

"Thank you."

He kissed Liz before leaving and then she is led to the back where she almost fell asleep while she soaked.

"If you fall asleep, it's okay. We'll take care of you." She understands.

"Okay."

After she napped, she watched them put on the color and smiled.

"It's amazing how polish can make you smile. I can't even see my feet unless I'm sitting down."

"Your husband said you're having twins."

"Yes. They are girls."

"Wonderful. I'm sure they will be spoiled."

She is helped out of the chair and then led to a table. After they lowered it, she sat and leaned back.

"I would love to do a facial on you. It's all-natural."

"That's fine." It had been forever since she had one.

While that was being done, the woman told her more about the area as Liz listened raptly. It has a lot of history.

An hour later, Jason showed up holding flowers.

"You hit the guy lottery," the receptionist said. "Does he have a younger brother?"

Liz giggled. "Nope and he's all mine."

"Lucky…"

She smiled and moved towards her husband. "Thank you."

"You look beautiful."

He kissed her and then sniffed. "You smell nice too."

"Flowers?" He doesn't get her that very often.

"I want to keep that smile on your face."

"They are beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you."

The young man behind them sighed, making Liz giggle against his lips.

"Come on."

"Okay. Let's go home," she said not even minding because she knows how blessed she is to have a man love her as had does. She had been scared that Jason would be overbearing during the pregnancy, but he has considered her feelings and that is so important to her. Dealing with all the hyper emotions during pregnancy is hard but he has been so understanding and she couldn't be more grateful to have him by her side.

The next day, Liz looked up from her book and smiled. "Brenda!"

Brenda sat next to her on the bed. "How are you doing?"

"I'm great. What brings you around? Johnny?"

"It's a sneak attack. I thought I'd hide out here so I can surprise him later."

"You wear happiness well."

"And you carry babies well—look at you. May I touch?"

Liz nodded.

Brenda put her oversized bag down and touched Liz's belly. "Have they been moving?"

"Yes. They are starting to move more. I suppose there isn't a lot of room in there."

"Babies are mind-blowing."

"Do you wish you could have another one?"

She sighed. "I look into his hazel eyes and I think about it, but my time has passed."

"I've seen some celebs having babies at fifty."

Brenda shuddered. "No, thank you." She will turn forty-six by the end of the year and would probably need in-vitro to conceive and she's moody enough.

"Is Johnny okay with that?"

"Yup. He doesn't have an overwhelming desire to go there. Don't get me wrong, he loves Alex, and has fun with Danny and Alana, but he likes coming home and just, you know, having fun."

Liz nodded. "I totally get that." She yawned.

"Alright, get your nap on. We're going to the pool afterward."

"Really?"

"Yup. Monica said it was fine."

"It's hot though."

"I charmed some of the lovely workers and you're in for a nice surprise."

Brenda kicked off her shoes and laid next to Liz. "Blowing my cover would almost be worth it for Jason to see me in his bed."

Liz chuckled and then l cracked up when Brenda pulled out her phone and took a video of her telling Jason that she's in his bed and to look away.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Liz is excited when she spots the pool. Four men are working on the final touches of putting a tarp over half of it.

"You're a genius."

"Now, you can wade all you want, and the sun won't do any damage."

From across the way, Jason grew impatient. "Where are the guys?" They are missing a few workers.

Johnny grabbed a pair of binoculars and then grinned. "Damn, she's hot."

Jason quickly picked up another pair and spots his wife wearing the cutest swim dress. "You're right, but I don't appreciate you eyeing my wife."

Johnny chuckled and then sucked in a breath as Brenda took off her coverup and assisted Liz down the stairs.

"What is she doing here?"

"I think she was planning on surprising me."

Jason rolled his eyes. "Call the men back." They had put up that awning for his girl, so he's not mad, but they don't get started, they'll be late for dinner.

When the men hurried off, Brenda sighed. "I think we've been outed." She grabbed her phone and sent the video of her in the bed.

Liz smiled as she sunk lower into the water. "This feels so good."

"Told ya so."

"Heavenly," Liz said. "I want to lay on my back."

Brenda assisted her. "How's that?"

"Awesome."

Jason groaned when he saw the video and then waved Cam over. "Go help your mom just in case."

"You don't have to ask me twice." A dip in the pool sounded great. It's hot. He ran back to the house and changed before heading out there.

"Mom," Cam said stepping into the pool.

"Hey, she said before slowly turning. "What going on?"

"Dad said I could get in."

Liz shook her head. "That's code for, make sure your mom doesn't do anything she shouldn't."

He smirked. "He was chill." He moved further in. "This feels good. Are you okay? I can get the float."

"Maybe in a few minutes."

He dove under the water.

"He's a heartbreaker, isn't he?"

Liz smiled. "He and Emma are doing well. I think he's in love."

Carina brought them so water.

"Thanks!"

She left them to go bake and then Brenda yelped when Cam grabbed her and tossed her into the deep in.

Brenda sputtered. "What's next? You gonna hit me with a noodle?"

He grinned. "That's a thought."

Danny did a cannonball right next to Brenda and then he and Cam goofed around.

"Boys…" Brenda said returning to Liz's side.

"Danny is doing well here but he might go stay with Alexis in Greece for a month."

"I'm sure she'd like that."

"Drew will probably go through withdrawal."

"Is he doing okay?"

"I think so. Truly, I think he's lonely. In his mind, it has been a long time since he has been with someone."

Brenda understands. "In another month, it will be a year."

"True. I guess we'll see if he'll start dating. That should be interesting." She is not sure what to expect.

Cam fetched the float and helped her get on it.

"Thanks for the lift."

"Anything for you," Cam said before swimming away.

Brenda moved her into the sun for a few minutes and Liz was in heaven before she is pulled back into the shade.

They talked for a while and then Cam helped his mother back to her room, so she could shower and get changed while Danny went back to his house.

There is a splash in the pool, causing Brenda to spin around, and then she grins when Johnny popped up and they kiss torridly.

"What took you so long?"

"Jason just kept going on and on. You know how he rambles."

She cracked up. "Sure…"

"He said I could go play for a few."

"He does love me."

He kissed her soundly until she groaned his name.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Jason got into the shower.

Liz gasped. "That better be you."

"Were you expecting Johnny?"

She laughed. "And risk the wrath of Brenda?"

He chuckled and then all mirth is wiped away when he took her in.

"You can't be that excited to see me in this condition."

His erection poked her.

"Baby, I'm always excited to see you. No other woman has this effect on me. It's all for you."

She slowly turned around. "So, what are we going to do about that?"

When she began to pump him, his eyes rolled back.

"Hold on." He turned and pushed the lever down so the tub would start to fill and then he attacked her mouth and his hands started to wander.

"Jason, that feels so good."

"You looked so sexy outside. I think I fogged up the binoculars."

"I don't think anyone has ever said I made something foggy."

He moaned as he French-kissed her skin. "Baby, you have powers you don't know about."

She giggled. "Is that right?"

"Uh-huh."

His finger slipped inside her and she started to pant.

"I need you now."

"Hold on."

He turned them and sat and then helped her to her knees facing away from him. Rising a bit, she waited while he positioned himself and then sank onto his cock. They moaned until she was seated and then Jason grabbed her hips and pushed his feet against the other side for leverage and then pumped his hips. She is close already, the water falling on her from the shower adding another level to her senses.

Catching her off-guard, she tensed and then shuttered as he continued to rut and a cry left her lips as her body shook, taking him with her as he continued to thrust.

He withdrew and she sat in front of him; leaning against his back as she came to her senses.

"That felt so good," she said before deciding to turn the shower off.

"You okay?"

"I'm more than okay, Jason. I'm going to miss sex with you when they cut it off."

"Me too, but that first time back will be epic."

"So true."

The next two months, the babies continued to grow, and Liz found herself on complete bedrest due to blood pressure issues. For the most part, she read and sketched and didn't feel stressed, but it was still high. While she understands it's normal with twins, it still bugs her that she can't control it. Jason works a lot, and when he isn't distracted by the winery, he is worrying about her. She isn't left alone for very long since twins tend to come early.

Monica moved into the room. She is enjoying Italy and had already made some friends. She sent Tracy a couple of bottles of wine which was appreciated. They get along better with the miles between them. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay. They are kicking harder."

"They are little miracles."

Liz slightly smiled. "Jason hasn't been sleeping well."

"He has a lot on his mind."

"Besides me and the babies?"

Monica nodded. "Yes. It's hotter than usual this summer. The heat isn't helping the wine industry. From what I understand, even minor shifts in temperature can change the flavor of the grapes and make the fruit become over-ripe or taste bitter. There's also a chain effect because you get more insects."

"It's much more complicated than we were expecting."

"They have some ideas they are batting around. Robin even knows a scientist they are going to talk to about options."

"I spoke to her a week okay. They are still in Paris."

"I think everyone will be on baby watch soon."

"Isabella and Frank stopped by a few days ago while you were shopping. I think you'd like them."

"They sound wonderful."

"I made them honorary grandparents."

"I'm sure they loved that." Drew had told her about the couple.

"They did."

Liz's stomach jumped.

"Ouch," she said before putting her hand on her side.

"They want out, but they need to wait a bit."

"One more month and we get to see their little faces."

"Has Jason picked out a name yet."

She shook her head. "I think he's going to talk to you about it soon."

"I'm anxious to hear what he has planned."

"Me too."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

A week later, Jason found his mom out on the porch.

"Hi. She's taking a nap."

"I know. I just came from there." He sat next to her. "I'm trying to come up with a name and it's harder than I thought."

"What are you considering?"

"I thought about Emily. Maybe it's time that we aren't sad when we say that name."

Monica gripped his hand.

"Would it bother you?"

"No. I think that would be a great way to honor her. Do you want it as a first or middle name?"

"Well, I thought about honoring you too."

Her eyes narrowed. "You want her to be named Emily Monica?"

He chuckled. "No. I was thinking of naming her Emily Dawn."

"Oh, Jason. I think of her often." Monica had a daughter named Dawn who had passed away. "I would love that so much."

He smiled. "Then it's settled. I'll let Liz know. Emily and Lila. I think it's perfect."

"It is and they are probably smiling down at us right now."

"I hope so."

He went upstairs and found his wife about to get up. "Bathroom?"

"Yeah."

She is moving slowly; her gait had changed since the babies are lower in her uterus. "Did you talk to your mom?"

"Yup, I came up with a name."

A cramp shot through her body, but she shouldered on.

"Emily Dawn."

Her gaze rose to meet his. "Beautiful…"

"I'm glad you're okay with it."

"I love it." As soon as they stepped into the bathroom, water gushed.

"Please tell me I peed myself and my water didn't just break."

Jason made her sit on the toilet and then ran to the hallway. "Mom!"

Monica hurried upstairs. "What's wrong?"

"Her water broke."
