Angel: Sorry it took me so long to get the new episodes out, they were not uploaded until late Thursday night, the same day that my power was out because of the hurricane! Usually they're uploaded to websites either the day they premiere on TV or the day after. Why cannot I be blessed with Disney XD D:
I haven't started rewriting the previous episodes since it's been rough for me, but yes, I am still removing the aliens, just not this second. I had some homework to catch up on that I was unable to do after the outage.
There's a scene involving Ian and Hana here at the end, so if some people are uncomfortable with that, don't read it. It's right after where Hana finds out how Cobra got the neurotransmitter.
I'm not done with the next episode or with rewriting the first 6 episodes of season 3, so I'm not sure when I'll release those.
Earlier, this chapter didn't appear for some people even though I had updated the story ^^' Weird...
Fred and Hiro are playing another video game, the same one they played when...Di visited Fred's house. That was not a good day. Still, the two love playing video games together.
"Ready, fight!" Monstor charges first, but Monstar jumps forward, kicking at his arms repeatedly. Hiro, Baymax, and Hana are wearing headphones. Hiro's playing while the other two just watch. Hana would be playing after her brother's done.
"I am so sorry, Hiro," Fred speaks up.
"For what?" He asks in confusion.
"For this!" Monstor flips back onto his feet and uses his special move to defeat Monstar.
"Winner!"
"Ha! Fred! Man, you're really on your game tonight," Hiro compliments him as he gives the controls to Hana.
"Well, I should be. I've been going nonstop since Tuesday. Wait, what day is this?"
Hana blinks in surprise at him. "You should...really get some sleep, Fred. I hope you're at least taking care of yourself. But anyway, it's the day that I kick your butt again!" She sits down in Hiro's chair, cracking her knuckles. Hiro glances down at her. She's seemed perfectly fine ever since their fight and Hardlight's escape. He hasn't pressed the matter since then because she seems to either avoid the subject or just change it to something else every time someone asks.
"Totally taken care of," Fred comments, glancing to his pile of drinks and food if needed.
"Staring at a screen for extended periods can cause dry eye as well as eye strain," Baymax points out.
"Noted, but extreme gaming takes extreme concentration. My senses are as sharp as the elusive barn lion."
Hana raises a brow, but ignores it and presses a button to choose her character.
"Searching..." Baymax's screen turns to loading so that he can look up the animal.
"Ready, fight!"
Hana's chosen Girl Monstar, so that Fred knows which twin is playing.
He is unaware of a snake slithering behind him, with green spots.
"Fred, there is no such thing as a barn lion," Baymax informs, the snake crawling onto the couch.
"I said he was elusive!" Fred points out.
"Thank you. I will continue searching," The robot replies back.
"Yup," Fred lets out a sigh, the snake crawling around his neck. "Nothing gets by Fred and his barn lion senses." And yet the snake was crawling right around his arms, but he's too focused on the game.
Heathcliff walks in with a tray, his eyes widening when he sees the danger. "Master Frederick, behind you!"
He turns around and sees the snake about to bite him and he screams. The snake squirts out some purple liquid onto Fred's arm. Heathcliff throws the tray at the snake and then tackles it, dealing with the danger himself.
"Fred, w-what happened?" Hiro asks in concern. "Are you okay?"
"What's going on?!" Hana questions in a small panic.
Fred looks at his arm, only to see the toxin disappear. "Uh oh."
Heathcliff is stomping on the snake when Fred falls onto the ground. Heathcliff rushes over to him, Fred's face streaming with tears.
"I will fetch the doctor. No need to weep, sir."
Fred turns around, still crying. "But the nachos...!" He starts openly sobbing as his nachos are everywhere on the ground.
Hana looks up at Hiro in worry since they can still hear him.
"We're coming over, hang tight!" Hiro tells Fred as the twins stand up, running down the stairs. Baymax slowly steps over to them and takes one step. He stumbles down the stairs, landing on the twins belly-first.
"We have fallen."
"The toxin from the robo-cobra is not entirely out of your system," Baymax scans Fred as he has drool streaming from his mouth. Mini-Max jumps away from his face.
"Mini-Maximum smushed!" Fred lands on his bed right on top of the mini robot.
The twins are examining what's left of the robotic snake. "This thing is amazing tech."
"This type of work feels familiar, though..." Hana murmurs as they look inside the mouth. "Too familiar. And you're complimenting a villain's tech? That seems a little foreboding."
"What? That's not foreboding!" He protests as she smirks a little.
"It was a little," Fred calls out and Hiro turns to him.
"Fred!" He whispers in slight annoyance, turning back to his sister. "I'm not saying that I'll join her, I'm just giving credit where credit is due."
"Relax, I was only joking," She chuckles and he does too.
"Your lunch, Master Frederick," Heathcliff steps up to the bed, wheeling in another tray.
"Thanks Heathcliff!" Fred calls out as the butler leaves. "For saving my life and for the-"
Mini-Max uncovers a tray, only to reveal a phone and no food. "Hmm," The phone rings as Fred glances up at it. "Lunch looks phon...y..."
Mini-Max answers it. "Due to temporary paralysis, Fred cannot answer the phone!" He jumps down to his best friend and puts the phone to Fred's ear, since he can't hold it himself.
"Master Frederick," Heathcliff is on the other end of the line. "It is I, Heathcliff. The robo-cobra was meant for me. My presence has put you and your family in danger. So I must depart, for good."
"No, Heathcliff!" Fred calls out in protest.
"Please, do not endeavor to find me. Your real meal would appear in 3, 2, 1."
And just as he said, the real lunch appears from a hole in the ceiling. "This phone shall self-destruct after this message."
The phone sparks with electricity, smoke coming from it as it's now broken.
Fred tries to sit up, but lands on the lid. "We have to find him!" He slips and falls in front of the trio. Hiro looks up at him.
"Baymax, can you scan for Heathcliff?" Hiro asks him.
"Since we can't track the call..." Hana mutters, slightly holding up the self-destructed phone. He takes a few moments to scan.
"Scanning...I am unable to locate Heathcliff."
Fred's crying brings them back to attention. The three look down at him. "Don't worry, Fred, we'll find him."
"Yeah, I just know he'll turn up," Hana offers gently, hands on her knees.
"I know we will!" Tears even come from his nose. "It's just that...he...tried to give me nachos again!" He's surrounded by fallen nachos again...
"Aww," Hana reaches into her hoodie pockets and holds out a tissue to Fred. "Here."
"Thank you..." He sniffles as she starts to wipe his face with it, realizing that he can't move his arms still.
They've relocated to their headquarters. "Hana, call the others," Hiro suggests while typing.
"No can do. Last I heard, they were looking for jobs nearby," Hana jerks a thumb to the doors.
"In San Fransokyo? Are they okay with that?" Hiro asks her.
"GoGo said and I quote 'we're not having this talk again about where we belong' and I just ended it there," Hana replies back with a small shrug. "I know better than to try and change someone's mind, especially when it's GoGo."
"Then I guess we're on our own. Heathcliff must have a scan jammer," He cracks his fingers just like Hana did before playing against Fred. "So we upgraded Basemax." He taps a button, smirking a little. Fred is sitting behind the twins, having finally gotten his nachos as he's eating a chip.
"Now she can scan for anyone with a scan jammer," Hana smiles slightly, hands on her hips. "Though, I am wondering how and why Heathcliff would even have a scan jammer in the first place." Truthfully, he wouldn't even need it since he didn't seem to be involved in criminal activities like Momakase or Obake...he must be hiding something really big if he thought he needed one.
"Congratulations, Basemax!" Mini-Max cheers for her. "You are a valuable BFF to justice!"
"Thank you. I do not know what a BFF is," Basemax replies back.
"BFF, according to Honey Lemon, stands for best friend forever," Baymax explains to her.
Mini-Max hugs Baymax's head, and they earn what could've been a smile if Basemax had a mouth...
"Aww, sweet," Hana comments at this with a small smile.
"Scanning. Heathcliff is at the Caviar Bazaar."
"Let's go," Hiro turns, ready to go, only for them to be stopped by Fred.
"Heathcliff is in a real emo state. I think Mini-Max and I should handle this alone. No costumes," He informs the twins.
"There is a significant amount of possibility of danger," Baymax holds up a finger.
"Danger should know there is a significant amount of possibility of Mini-Max!" He runs off and Hiro glances at his sister, who nods in agreement with Fred. The bond with Heathcliff and Fred is strong just like their brother-sister bond. If it was her instead of Heathcliff, he probably would've insisted to go alone too.
Fred inches near the doorway of the Caviar Bazaar, a vase in front of his face. "Keeping a low pro..."
He lifts down the vase as a waiter is offering caviar. Mini-Max's head pops out of the vase and he crawls onto Fred's shoulder, staying hidden. Fred tosses the vase and it breaks into pieces, which is not exactly covert. He pops up between two people sitting in front of a table.
"Hmm," He lifts up the lid to see caviar, putting the lid back on as he glances around. The two high-society customers just stare at him wide-eyed the entire time. The two then hide behind a vase, keeping an eye out as they move forward. They run right into Heathcliff hiding behind a plant.
"Master Frederick," He whispers, and they turn to him instantly. "You shouldn't be here."
"Heathcliff!" Fred laughs in relief.
A black boot steps forward. An adult woman with a dark-skinned complexion, black frizzled hair, and hazel eyes is standing nearby. She has a thin but flexible body frame with sharp features. The woman's clothing dons a red-green color scheme with shades of black; she wears a gray turtleneck underneath a black trench coat and high-heel boots with neon green trimmings to match, completed with red leggings. She also accessorizes with round pale earrings, red gloves and a red headband of sorts.
A robo-cobra slithers up her arm, bearing its fangs and lunging forward towards Fred. He lets out a scream as he thinks he's going to be hit with venom again. Heathcliff suddenly captures the robotic snake and then rips the head off. Fred still has that open-mouthed look on his face from screaming.
"Cobra," Heathcliff narrows his eyes in recognition.
"Mongoose," She greets back thinly, another robo-cobra around her body.
"Mini-Max!" Mini-Max chimes in, probably wanting to be a part of the name-speaking. Fred gasps sharply, walking around Heathcliff.
"Heathcliff, you have a secret identity?! I have so many questions and I am so lightheaded from that gasp," He leans back and Heathcliff grips his shirt to prevent him from falling.
"Who would believe the world's most polite hero was hiding in plain sight?" Cobra teases Heathcliff. "As a butler?"
"That actually sounds quite logical," Mini-Max comments from Heathcliff's shoulder.
"Well your little undercover game ends now." She flips forward and Fred ducks as she soars over him. She slithers around him like an actual snake. "Does this galumpous know you're playing him and his family for fools?"
A literal chill goes up his spine. To him, it almost felt like he was dealing with spiders again.
"I'll ask you to leave the Fredericksons out of it," Heathcliff tells her thinly, hands behind his back and Fred whips around to Cobra.
"Who are you calling a galumpous? Also, what is a galumpous?"
She drops him and he falls backwards, a vase landing on his head and getting his head stuck in it.
"Hey!"
"That," She simply answers, pointing at him.
The mini robot jumps, landing on the vase so that he can help pull Fred's head out. "Mini-Max is here for you, galumpous chum!"
"I believe you've met my pets?" Cobra presses on one of her earrings, tiny green dots appearing at the top of a neurotransmitter!
Two robo-cobras slither down from the ceiling, hissing. Another one follows from a bowl of caviar as they come to a stop in front of her. All the customers run out screaming while Heathcliff seems rather calm as he's sipping a cup of tea. He puts it down, grabs an umbrella, and spins it. He points it at the hissing robotic cobras, who lunge forward.
He kicks up a table from behind, grabbing a vase with the umbrella. He throws it forward to hit a robo-cobra. Another one slithers up to him, but he just stabs it with his umbrella. He holds it out, knocking away another before two of them bite on his weapon. He swings it around, throwing them away like it was nothing. They hiss as they charge towards him, but he opens up the umbrella, knocking away one and jumps up, landing on a chair. He knocks it down to smash another cobra, floating down to the ground with his umbrella open. He lands safely, closing the umbrella. He raises a brow at another robotic snake, but he holds out the umbrella again to fend it off. He spins the umbrella around to send it flying, and pulls at the umbrella to reveal an actual sword.
"Are we winning?!" Fred muffles from the vase, wobbling around while still trying to get it off. "Feels like we're winning!"
Two more robotic snakes attack, but he steps out of the way, spinning the sword and stabbing the cobra. He then slices two, one of them knocking into the table that holds his tea. It flies into the air and Heathcliff slices rapidly. The pieces of the robotic cobra fall around him and he catches the tea cup, with the tea falling back where it belongs.
He takes a sip as all of the robotic cobras have been defeated, and he didn't even touch them!
"Oh, Mongoose," Cobra shakes her head fondly as a car drives up. She glances over her shoulder. "You still got it."
The robotic cobra somehow driving the car honks the horn. She jumps into the car with a smirk. "But this isn't over, dear. Cheerio!"
And with that, she gets away, Heathcliff glaring after her.
"That exit sounded cool," Fred comments as he steps outside to join him. "Was it cool?" Unfortunately, one robotic cobra still remains, and it hits his leg with the venom just as he frees his head from the vase. His body wiggles before he falls flat on his back, leg twitching.
Baymax scans him as Mini-Max holds his face. "The feeling should return to your fingers in one hour."
"If he's gonna keep coming back with venom in his system, he oughta get used to it," Hana crosses her arms over the table as she's sitting next to her brother.
"Here's the store security footage," Hiro pulls up an image of Cobra, zooming in on the neurotransmitter. "That looks like my neurotransmitter."
"How'd she get ahold of our tech?" Hana asks in annoyance. "The plans were destroyed in the SFIT fire."
"Cobra frequently steals technology around the world to perpetrate her evil schemes," Heathcliff explains to the two while holding Fred on his back.
"Honestly, you should be flattered," Fred adds in as Heathcliff sits him next to him.
"Yeah, I'm not," Hiro states, a bit annoyed. First he and Hana got blackmailed into stealing for Momakase, and now a villain is using what they built to commit crimes. Fred's chin lands on the table.
"The only person who even still has the plans is...Krei," Hana deadpans, now just as annoyed as Hiro. Krei had kept his own neurotransmitter blueprints stored in his computer from when he tried to make them for profit. Obviously since Globby has it, that project got shelved, rightfully so! After this, she needs to have a chat with him...
"Where did this Cobra lady come from?" He raises a brow.
"And what does she have to do with attacking Fred?" Hana glances at him.
"I suppose an explanation is in order," Heathcliff starts off, standing in front of Basemax. He clicks a pen and the lights somehow go off. "Years ago, I was, not to put too fine a point on it," He clicks the pen again and an image comes up of him, holding an umbrella. But he doesn't look younger in the picture. "A spy."
"Whoa-ho-ho-ho!" Fred wiggles his arms around and one of them hits Hana on the head. "Uncle alert!"
"This was years ago?" Hiro asks slowly. "You look exactly the same."
"A gentleman always moisturizes," He explains, clicking the pen again. The next image is of Cobra, holding a stolen item while skiing down snow.
On snakes.
And not the robotic ones.
Hana gasps sharply, pointing forward. "Animal cruelty! I hate her already!"
"Cobra was a notorious thief. Back then, she used actual cobras as a distraction." Hana grunts upon hearing this. Snakes may not be her favorite animal, but that doesn't mean she won't stick up for them just like with other animals. Another image appears of him stopping her with an umbrella. "After thwarting her multiple crimes, my associates took me naming me...Mongoose." The next image is of him with an actual mongoose wearing sunglasses behind him.
"Awesome," Hana smirks at the picture.
"Sooo, how did you become our butler?" Fred asks curiously.
"I discovered that Cobra planned to make all the world's volcanoes erupt at once." Hana's mouth opens at the explanation, the next image a map of all the volcanoes. "I knew I couldn't defeat her alone this time." Then the next picture is of Boss Awesome. "So I contacted the world's greatest hero."
"My dad!" Fred exclaims in realization, Mini-Max pointing his finger for him. He still hasn't gotten the feeling back in his fingers yet.
"Boss Awesome," Hiro adds in.
"Wait, so you called him to help?" Hana raises a brow.
"Correct," The next image is of the two facing Cobra in the depths of a volcano. "The two of us faced Cobra atop Mount Krakatuvius. She got the upper hand and was about to kick Boss Awesome in. I said 'no thank you, madam' as I slipped between them and blocked her with my umbrella. Cobra fell into the volcano instead."
"How did she survive though, if she's not...you know...dead?" Hana asks while a bit disturbed, she knew very well that Cobra's not a ghost. That already brings up bad memories of when she and Hiro thought they were talking to Tadashi...
"Cobra is a strong adversary to defeat through anything," Heathcliff answers her question. "It is not entirely impossible to escape a volcano for her."
"And I have a question," Hiro speaks up. "Who took all these pictures?"
"Every spy had a personal photographer back then," Heathcliff states, putting his pen back into his pocket.
"That's a job?" Hana whispers incredibly to her brother, who shrugs.
"You saved my dad?" Fred smiles a little, Heathcliff turning to him.
"And he welcomed me into your home."
"That is the coolest butler backstory ever!" Fred cheers at this, his hands still numb.
"My time with your family has been the happiest in my life," He offers his hand to shake and Fred tries to get a grip on it, failing to do so. He leans forward and gives Heathcliff a hug, which he's happy with despite Fred's arms still not working. Heathcliff hugs him and pats his back.
"Aww," Hana smiles warmly at the moment, giving Hiro a side hug. He smiles in amusement, wrapping an arm around her neck in a one-armed hug.
"Farewell, Masters Frederick and Miniature-Max," He starts packing up his things, to Fred's disappointment. "I'm off to face Cobra in a final showdown."
"Do you have a plan for glorious victory?" Mini-Max jumps, running around his head. Heathcliff looks at him wide-eyed.
"My plan is, as always, to be courteous and well-groomed," He smiles slightly, adjusting his tie.
"Oh," Mini-Max sounds disappointed. "Is that it?"
He gives the robot back to Fred. "Promise you will not follow me. On your Captain Fancy number one," He holds up the comic book issue in plastic, causing Fred to gasp sharply.
"Heathcliff, no!" He cries out in horror, Mini-Max placing his hands on his cheeks in shock.
"I am afraid I must insist," Heathcliff places the comic on his left hand, causing Fred to sigh.
"I promise," He places his hand on it, gesturing to himself.
"Good man," The butler hands the comic back to him. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go brush up on my witty, but polite retorts. And do some pre-battle moisturizing," He pats his cheek, walking off. Fred looks down sadly, Mini-Max looking up at him.
Fred looks down at a picture of himself as a boy, Heathcliff putting on his signature hat for him. Hana sits next to him on the couch as they stare at the device.
"Heathcliff's been looking after me my whole life," He starts off.
"Adorable!" Mini-Max chimes in as the next picture is of one of Fred's birthdays, where Heathcliff presented him with a Kentucky Kaiju toy. Fred had given him a big hug, earning a smile from the butler. "Heartwarming!" Then the last one is Fred sick in bed, and Heathcliff had gone out to get him a chicken noodle burger just for him. He was too sick to go and get it, and he was prepared to wait in line for it that day. "Mini-Maximum Aww!"
"Everyone thinks he's just our butler, but he's so much more!" Fred states as he's looking at another photo of Fred in his super suit, Heathcliff standing nearby looking poised as ever.
"You know...I think the rest of us were genuinely surprised when we saw your lifestyle," Hana speaks up, gesturing to herself. "I never would've thought that you even had all these things when I first met you at SFIT."
"Yeah, I get that a lot," Fred comments to her, but he knew that his friends still liked him whether or not he was well off. They all had their own lifestyles that they were comfortable living in and were happy in. Well, Aunt Cass wouldn't have to work again if she was rich, but that would mean no more Lucky Cat, and none of them could see her giving that up.
"But the one thing that stood out to me that day was how you handle that part of your life," Hana smiles softly at him. "You treat it as if it's a normal thing, and you never flaunt about it either as some other people would," She glances away in annoyance at the reminder of the Moles. "And with Heathcliff, well...he's important to you."
"But he didn't want me to follow him..." Fred rubs his chin in thought.
"You think that if Hiro had asked me not to help him, that I would sit around and do nothing?" Hana retorts back, standing in front of him. "No! I would go out there and be there for him! And this is a dangerous villain Heathcliff is dealing with here, she's not gonna go easy on him!" She punches her palm as she feels patriotic all of a sudden.
"Remember the motto our team has: Someone has to help."
Fred glances between her and the photo, realizing that she's right. Heathcliff has the same meaning to him as Hiro does for Hana. He couldn't let him face Cobra alone, he hasn't fought her for years. She'd do anything to succeed.
He narrows his eyes in determination. "Let's go and not be galumpouses!"
"That's not...that's not a word," Hana sweats sheepishly.
"Is too! Next you're gonna tell me that cupine doesn't follow the word pork."
The girl stares at him incredibly, speechless. "...Huh?"
Heathcliff stands on a rooftop, umbrella ready. Cobra steps up, hands behind her back as she stares at him.
"Good show, Cobra. Agreeing to fight me one-on-one. No tech," He narrows his eyes. But then she smiles smugly, her neurotransmitter glowing. His mouth opens in shock.
"Oh, poor shockingly handsome Mongoose," A robotic snake appears from her suit. "How can you be so naïve?" She cracks it like a whip. "While I was climbing out of that infernal volcano..." He looks around to see more of her snakes coming out of hiding. "I realized I never defeated you because I always worked alone."
She steps down and leaps forward, using the mechanical snake as her weapon. He grits his teeth, sliding backwards to avoid her attack. She continues cracking the mechanical snake like a weapon and he uses his umbrella to block it. The tail grabs his leg, pulling him to the ground. Cobra's boot steps on his chest and he glares up at her.
"Well, I'm not alone anymore!"
Flames emit from the sky, causing her to step back. Fred lands on the rooftop, being the culprit of the attack. "Well, neither is he!"
"And neither are you!" Mini-Max flies up to him.
"Master Frederick, you swore on your Captain Fancy!" Heathcliff protests as Fred lifts off the mask.
"It was a reprint, it's worth nothing," Fred reveals, crossing his arms. "But, you're worth everything! You're part of our family. So we do this, together."
"Spoken like a true gentlemen," Heathcliff compliments, putting a fist to his chest.
"I learned from the best. Now let's-" Some snakes dive into his suit, causing him to yelp. He wiggles around, trying to get them off so they won't hit him with venom again.
"Prepare to sink your fangs into defeat, foul serpents!" Mini-Max declares, jumping into Fred's suit to help out. The head closes and while they're dealing with that, this leaves Heathcliff with...
Cobra jumps and cracks her snake-like whip again, Heathcliff sliding away from her. "Let's pick up where we left off, dear Mongoose."
"Of course," He gets onto his feet. "After I slip into something a little less...comfortable," He adjusts his tie, which turns into a blue bow tie. The electricity coming from it overlaps over his suit, turning it from black to white. He turns around as the coat turns white, and his shoes get little stripes on them. He brings his wrists together as his cufflinks turn from white to blue. He holds out his handkerchief as that turns blue as well. He puts it in his pocket, standing there bravely with his umbrella.
Fred kind of ruins the moment by screaming while fighting off the robotic cobras.
"Formal wear won't save you this time," Two robo-cobras wrap around her wrists and she uses them to fire venom at her opponent.
"Formal wear saves me every time," Heathcliff replies back as the venom is powerless against his reinforced suit. She grits her teeth angrily before more robo-cobras jump forward. He presses a button from his cufflinks, bringing them up to his fingers. He throws them at the robot snakes, who explode once they touch the explosives. One of them swallows one and explodes into pieces. They fall around Cobra and she clenches her fists as he faces her.
"Give up, Cobra...please."
"Aw, polite to the end. Sadly your end is imminent," A 50-foot mechanical snake appears behind her, causing him to for once be nervous.
"Oh dear," He tugs at his collar anxiously as she smirks confidently. He spins his umbrella and the snake launches forward. He jumps from the attack, jumping back again. Then he flips when it charges once more, landing on the back. The snake turns around and hisses, inching towards him as he runs. He jumps and backflips, opening up his umbrella to float down safely. He lands on the head, wrestling with it while Fred gets poisoned for the third time. He wobbles around as he loses the feeling in his limbs, being spun around.
The large robo-cobra tosses Heathcliff off and he lands on the roof. He turns around, glaring at it before more smaller ones pin him to the roof. Cobra stands on top of the larger one, ready to finish him off when a hand reaches out.
The magnets grab the neurotransmitter and pull it off her head. Because she's not wearing it anymore, Cobra no longer has control over any of the snakes. The large one powers down, falling near Heathcliff. A chem ball is thrown at it, and it freezes right before it could hit the roof. The smaller cobras power down as well.
"Get your own tech," Hiro states to Cobra, since he wanted to come over and tell her that himself. Honey Lemon, Wasabi, GoGo, and Hana surround the two in their gear with small smirks.
"Nice one, bro," Hana looks up at him. The twins share a fist-bump, Baymax joining in on it.
"Ba-la-la-la-la."
"So you're a spy?" Honey Lemon asks in excitement to Heathcliff. The twins told them everything on their way over.
"Indeed," Heathcliff smiles gratefully for the help.
"I have alerted the authorities," Baymax holds up a finger. Cobra stands up, about to get away when Heathcliff takes off his cumberbund and throws it. This traps her inside.
"No! I will not be restrained by a cumberbund! Mongoose, you cad!" She glares up at him while trying to get free. GoGo stands in front of her.
"Woman up," She simply states smugly.
Heathcliff bends down to Fred on the ground, Mini-Max holding his face. "I wish I could smile to show you how proud I am that you're part of my family, Heathcliff. Thank you." Mini-Max puts his cheeks apart so that he could smile, but it just looks a bit unnatural.
"You should release his face," Heathcliff suggests to the robot. "The smile is off-putting."
"Yes, incredibly disturbing," Cobra agrees as she hops, escorted by Baymax and Hiro.
"Definitely."
"Uh huh."
"Aw, at least you tried."
"However did you find me?" Heathcliff looks over his shoulder to the others.
"We tracked you with Basemax after we suited up, and then we just followed her directions from there," Hana explains to him.
"After Hana told us what Fred wanted to do, we knew we couldn't let him mess things up on his own," GoGo blows some gum.
"Yeah, we couldn't sit and do nothing just like him," Wasabi speaks up.
"That's right!" Honey Lemon nods in agreement.
Heathcliff smiles at the group. "And now, to the nearest drive-thru! Nachos await."
"Nachos! Yes! I salute you, Mongoose! ...Uh, could you help me salute, little buddy?"
Mini-Max pulls up his hair, moving his right arm to his head. He then does a salute for him.
"You guys go escort Cobra where she belongs," Hana places her hands on her hips. "I need to have words with Krei..."
"Don't go too hard on him," Hiro warns her.
"Just a nice chat," Hana holds up her hands in defense. "If someone else is stealing tech, of course I'm gonna defend my brother!"
She does have a point; tech got stolen a lot lately if one looked at Globby before he redeemed himself or Sirque.
"Mr. Krei," Hana runs up to the man.
"Hey, Intern 2!"
Hana groans to herself as Krei stops to look at her. She sighs slowly, glancing up at him.
"Not my name, but I see you got my phone call. Did you happen to keep the plans that basically ripped off my brother's invention?"
"A rip-" He stammers in shock. "It was a better version of it, and yes, I did! They're in my computer's files."
"And do you have firewalls installed in them?" She raises a brow.
"I'm a businessman, I take risks!" He answers back, gesturing to himself as he smiles.
"...So that's a no then. Can I see your computer?"
Hana sits in his chair, her brother on face-time from her phone as he hears her typing. "Cobra had to have gotten your neurotransmitter from somewhere," She states while looking through the files for what she's trying to find.
"Still a little sour about that, by the way," He deadpans and she shakes her head slowly.
"I know, she had no right to use them, now let's move on, shall we? This computer seems to have as twice as many files the last time we looked at them."
Maybe that's because he fills them with a bunch of pictures of himself.
Hana snickers slightly, covering her mouth with her hand. Krei gives her an accusing look as Judy is standing nearby.
"What? Why are you laughing, Intern 2?"
"No...no reason," She giggles, clearing her throat and going back to the computer. Then she notices the folder that were supposed to contain the files from that black market chip that got stolen from Krei thanks to the Mad Jacks.
"Hey..." She murmurs quietly, getting her brother's attention. "You remember when we were sick and the Mad Jacks kidnapped Krei for his chip?"
"Ugh, that was not as fun as it sounded," Hiro groans at the reminder and she could totally agree with him.
"The chip had nothing. Luckily, it was only the two of us that saw that," Judy glances away.
"Why are we talking about that waste of money? It was useless, I ended up tossing it out," Krei crosses his arms.
"A chip that important would never have nothing or else it'd be worth nothing," Hana glances up at him. "Not unless-"
"It was equipped with a bug to give you blank files," Hiro finishes for her.
"But who would do that to me?" Krei gestures to himself. "I'm too valuable!"
"With all the villains that targeted and/or kidnapped you, it's a big club of culprits," Hana deadpans in annoyance, turning back to the computer. "But the only one that would've been capable of doing something like that back then was...well..."
Hiro narrows his eyes slightly. "Obake..."
"Whatever was on that chip must've been so important that he hacked your computer to steal those files," Hana states, typing away on his computer. "And if my hunch is right..." She unhacks the computer to give her the files Obake had, including photos of the leaders of Big Hero 7 and their civilian identities, formulas that played a part in Obake's plans, and a picture of a neurotransmitter.
Hana pinches her nose with a small sigh. "Of course...Cobra must've scoured the black market and tracked down the files while searching for tech to use for her own gain..."
"What?" Hiro asks in confusion and she holds up the phone so he can see them. "Since when was my neurotransmitter on a black market chip?! That's how Obake found out our identities before the others!"
"Well, I'll never trust the internet the same way again after finding this out..." Hana mutters as they all stare at the picture of the neurotransmitter.
She steps out of the office to head on home when Krei peeks out from his door. "Intern 2!"
Hana sighs in slight irritation, wanting to leave as soon as possible. The fact that some tidbits from not only her but also her brother's personal life were on a black market chip was giving her small chills. She just wants to go back to the Lucky Cat and curl up with her brother along with some hot chocolate in her hand.
"Yes, Mr. Krei, how may I be of service again?" She turns around with a strained forced smile.
"Before you go, I was wondering we should do another commercial! Starring you!"
"I thought I said I wasn't going to do another commercial after the last one," Hana narrows her eyes in annoyance. Ian just happens to be watching nearby and he clenches a fist at this display. Krei is clearly bugging her, and no one else is stopping it. She clearly doesn't want to do it.
"But your contract has a policy where you have to star in any media regarding Krei Tech and/or its products," He holds up the contract and pulls it away so quick that she didn't see the fine print. But he's lying, there is no policy where it says that. He just wants to profit from using her fame since the Bunny Shuttle didn't work out.
"Mr. Krei, I don't know how to make it clearer that I'm not doing it. I don't want any part of this," She turns away and Krei whips around to stand in front of her, chuckling.
"Here's how the business world works, Hana. You work for me, and in return, I don't pay you. Think about what good press you'll bring me-I mean us! Don't forget that you owe me for saving my life!"
"I saved your life and I owe you something?" She asks in disbelief at the faulty logic. "After all I did for you in the past, willingly or not? In case you didn't know, that's blackmail! Or at least what your attorney advises using the word of. For the last time, the answer is no."
Ian clenches a fist, feeling like he had to do something. He marches right up to the two.
"Come on! What's one more commercial gonna hurt-"
A hard fist comes flying at his cheek, shocking everyone including Hana. Mr. Krei falls onto the ground in front of her and she looks up to see Ian.
"Ian!" She pushes him away from the man on the floor. Ian stumbles back in surprise for that reaction. "What did you do?!"
"Mr. Krei!" Some employees crowd around him as he holds his cheek.
"I was just...helping you..." Ian stammers as she glares at him.
"You just punched him! That's not helping at all!"
"But...aren't you...?" He doesn't even finish his question as she whips back around to see Krei being helped up. He glares at the culprit, Hana flinching.
"You're...FIRED, Ethan!" Krei screams at him.
"Ian...my name is Ian..."
Hana frowns, surrounded by her brother, her aunt, and her friends as they watch Ian get escorted into a police car.
"I just don't get it; how could this have happened?" She glances at Krei, who's being looked at by a nurse he has on standby. His face is bruised, but for the most part, he's fine...as fine as he could be, being himself.
"Well, working for a man like Mr. Krei can...create enemies," Aunt Cass gives him a sour look, still bitter about the one date they had. Diego and Luisa approach the group.
"You said he punched Mr. Krei?" Diego asks the black-haired girl, pointing to the business man.
"He damaged my face, the moneymaker of my company! Throw the book at him!" Krei calls out, everyone glancing at him.
"That's right. Krei and I were just talking, and then boom! The next second he's on the ground and Ian was standing there. But he acted like he didn't do anything wrong when I was yelling at him," Hana crosses her arms.
"With provocation?" Luisa raises a brow.
"Yeah, but I'm not sure why..."
"Maybe it wasn't Krei. Did he say anything to you?" Diego pulls out a notepad.
"He was trying to get me to do another commercial for Krei Tech, and I refused, and then that's when Ian came in," Hana gestures to the police car.
"Maybe...maybe he was doing it to make sure you were safe," Wasabi suggests and a chill goes up her spine.
"Exactly," Luisa nods in agreement with him. "But unless we hear that from Ian himself, it won't help him. And he's not talking."
"Can I try?" Hana looks up at them. The two glance at each other skeptically.
"Diego," Aunt Cass steps forward a bit. "I'm not sure what was going on through his head, but she may be the only way of getting an answer from him before it's too late."
Diego nods after a few seconds, since it couldn't hurt. "But just for a minute, then he's gotta go to get booked."
Hana takes a deep breath and steps forward. "I can't believe Krei actually got sucker punched, and it wasn't from Hana," GoGo comments as they watch her walk.
"Well...he may not be who I suspected him to be, but he's not exactly trustworthy either," Hiro stares at the man, wondering what his deal is. He might have not have done anything to harm his sister in any way, but Ian still raises a few red flags in his head.
"Classic villain sign," Fred whispers to them.
"But he didn't seem all that harmless from what Hana told us..." Honey Lemon speaks up and they stay silent, unsure of what Ian is really hiding.
Hana reaches Ian, slightly bending down with sad eyes. He's just sitting there in the back of the police car, and she's not sure if he even knows she's standing there.
"Ian...why would you do all this? You're not usually showing...that kind of anger." He clamps his mouth shut, glancing at the girl. "I need to know...what made you punch him?"
At first there's nothing and she sighs, about to leave when he clears his throat. She looks back at him, hoping his answer would ease her just a little.
"Because...I had to protect you. He was bothering you, and I had to do something about it."
"Krei may be a jerk sometimes, but that doesn't give you the right to hurt him!" Hana argues back. "I didn't want that, good intentions or not!"
He then fully looks up at her. "I'd do anything for you, Hana. I love you."
Her eyes widen as she steps back in horror. "What...?"
"Time to go," Luisa closes the door before she could ask more. She and Diego get into the car, driving away. Hana just stands there, very confused and concerned over what he just said.
Hiro steps up to her. "Hana? What'd he say?"
"He...he said he did it because he loved me...Hiro..." She turns to look at him, still horrified. "I...I didn't believe you before, but...now I'm thinking that he might be Hardlight after all..."
He bites his lip and they just stare after the car silently.
