Guys, I am terribly sorry for the wait with this one, on my part and with whatever happened to be going on with the site. I hope you all enjoy.

Having a newborn and a toddler proved to be harder than either parent thought it would. With each moment where they wanted to sleep, send their kids off for a night, or simply pull their hair out, they had moments they would cherish for a lifetime. There wasn't many things better than watching their son and daughter's bond to start growing as they needed each other. Will becoming very protective of his baby sister, making sure to watch out for her when they were out in public. He'd even pull himself away from the park and the fun he was having with his friends to check on his sister to make sure no one was hurting her. When little Aurora cried, he'd be the first one there to see what she needed because a good chunk of the time she wanted her big brother.

"Momma can I fed Oree?" Will asked, from his seat eating a bowl of cereal. He still has a hard time trying to say his baby sisters name.

"She can't eat your food, bud," Wade told him, taking a seat at the table holding his little girl. Aurora is slowly being introduced to solid food, as she reaches for her parent's utensils and food every given chance, she has.

Will nodded and went back to eating his breakfast. He wanted to finish his food as fast as he could, so he could get back to his morning show. He's not allowed to watch a whole lot of Tv. He knew if he ate too fast or put too much food in his mouth, he would get into trouble, and he didn't want to be in trouble. Today he needs to be on his best behavior; that's what his mom told him this morning. He didn't know why, just that it had something to do with his dad. Who looked to be just fine.

"I know I promised we'd do something as a family today, but Wanda," he started to say to his wife, sharing a kiss, all while little hands dug at their hair, giggling.

"Totally fine, I said the same thing to Wanda when I saw her yesterday at the office. She's got something special for Tom planned, and it only works on one day," she told her husband, taking her daughter, so he could finish getting ready for work.

"What is it I am missing?" He asked, moving over to give his oldest a kiss and hug goodbye.

"You'll see," she shrugged. It wasn't her news to share. And the last thing she wanted to do is take that moment away from Wanda. "We'll stop for lunch and figure out what to do for your special daddy day after work," she told him.

"The best spot will be reserved for the best," he smirked, double checking that he had everything.

Zoe smiled, rolling her eyes, as she cleaned up the kitchen with her baby girl in her arms. She let Will rush off to the living to unpause the show he was in the middle of when she ushered him to the table to eat breakfast. With the food put away, and dishes put in the dishwasher. With the kitchen cleaned up, she let Aurora play on her play mat, sitting on the floor to play with her, as Will moved from the couch to sitting on her lap to watch his show.

After the mid morning naps for both of her kids, Will tries to say he doesn't need to nap, but passes out rather quickly when in his bed and left alone. And as nice as it would be to relax during nap time, Zoe quickly cleans up the mess made that morning and gets herself ready for the day, keeping an ear out for her kids, if they so happen to wake up early from their naps.

She gets both of them ready. She let's Will pick out his outfit for the day, wanting to let him have the freedom in what he wears, she gets Aurora dressed in a cute little pink onesie that says daddy's girl in white and the light rosy tutu that goes with it. Will comes out wearing blue slacks as he doesn't like jeans a whole lot yet and a plain yellow shirt with an orange vest zipped up. She helps him put his shoes on, and they set off on a warm summer day.

They stop to buy some flowers, Will picking out the brightest ones of the bunch. Because they needed to be seen from heaven. With the prettiest, brightest flowers picked out and bought, they head to the cemetery. Will held onto the flowers as tight as he could, as they walked. Zoe helping him replace the old flowers with the new ones. Will babbling on about everything from his favorite food to what he got into trouble for. Wanting his grandpa to know everything.

"Happy Father's Day, dad," Zoe said, pushing the stroller back and forth to keep Aurora content. "I love you."

They headed to the Jammer to have lunch with Wade after their visit at the cemetery ended. She had their day planned out, making sure to include a plan where Wade was working. Many families sat around the Jammer enjoying the day with their father, or their mother who acted more like their dad than there actual father did. Or Cricket and Jayseane, out for a family day with their little girl. The couple have been together for two years. They looked into the best way to have a family for them and settled on adopting a 18-month-old baby girl who is now two-years old.

"The best table," Zoe smiled seeing a booth with a reserved sign, written in Wade's scrawl.

"Only the best for the best family a guy has," Wade smirked, bringing them something to drink as he watched them walk in.

"I almost think you want something," she teased, helping Will with his crayons and coloring page.

"I have everything right here," he replied with a smirk, calming his fussy daughter down, as she wanted her daddy.

"I won't call you out since you ordered for us," she replied, taking the plate of chicken strips and fries to place in front of Will.

After lunch, Zoe headed home with one sleepy child and one overly hyper child with the secret plans for daddy. He wanted to get everything done as fast as he could. His giggles throughout lunch almost giving him away. It wasn't every day they did something so big for their dad.

After his family left and he got back to work, he wondered what they were up to. Will can be a very giggly person when he wants to be. When he is, there's a good reason behind it. So he was left wracking his brain to figure out what his little family was up to. Zoe gave him no hints about it.

This year for Father's Day the plan was to go to Mobile and have fun with the kids at the park and just see where the day took them. They would then have a barbecue later in the night with his dad, and Jesse and his family. Being called into work put a damper on it all. Zoe being a trooper.

Despite Zoe being very okay with him needing to work today, he has a feeling that she is up to something. That she's been scheming with Wanda over something to do with today. He was certain that Wanda is being truthful about her plans for the day. Zoe is the one that is up to something, Will being her little partner for whatever she has going on.

"We'll see you tonight for the barbecue," Jesse said, breaking his brother from his thoughts.

"Uh yeah," Wade nodded. His brothers words taking a minute to resonate. They may not have been able to hang out in Mobile for the day, but the barbecue would still be happening.

"You okay?" Jesse asked concerned. "You've been awfully lost in space," he shared. Jesse entered the Jammer seeing his brother mindlessly wiping the bar top off, that wasn't what concerned him; it's the fact he kept wiping the same spot for like five minutes. He had entered and picked his to-go food up, approached his brother as he kept wiping the same spot.

"Yeah," Wade nodded. "Trying to figure a few things out is all," he shared. "I think my wife and son are up to something, but I can't prove it," he blurted out before Jesse could turn and leave.

"What do you mean up to something?" Jesse asked with a laugh.

"Scheming. Something to do with Father's Day," he sighed. "Will was all giggles for lunch for no reason, and he was in such a hurry to leave when he finished eating. Zoe kept playing it off like it was nothing," he explained. Will has always liked staying with his dad and talking to the townsfolk at the Jammer. They all took an interest in what he had to say, and he loved the attention.

"He more than likely wanted to get back to his toys," Jesse played it off, earning a look from his younger brother. "What?"

"Don't you what me," Wade stated, leaning over the bar top. "What is it, you know?" He asked, eying him up.

"Nothing," Jesse laughed. "How should I know what your wife has planned, if she even has anything planned. I really think that you're over thinking whatever is going on," Jesse stated. "I will be seeing you later tonight," he said, making his exit, shaking his head.

The rest of the day went by too slowly for his liking. He couldn't figure out what was going on. He had a small hunch that Jesse knew something. He thought about closing the bar down early just to get home to see what his family was up too. However, he couldn't do that, for one he didn't want to have the hassle of kicking people out for no real reason. And secondly it was barely seven, and many families were coming in for dinner, while others were coming in for a cold drink. He wouldn't ruin Father's Day for others because of a gut feeling.

"Zoe asked me to give this to you," Wanda said, handing him an envelope. He frowned wondering when Zoe had time to see Wanda. If anything it proved to him that Zoe and Wanda were scheming something.

"I thought you asked for the whole day off?" Wade asked, taking the envelope from her.

"I did, but Tom is chasing alpacas around, and I am not much help in getting them back in the barn, or helping fix the barn up, so they don't escape again. Not that I know how much help little Froda is going to be. Nevertheless, they can have their fun," Wanda explained with a shrug. "You can go and I'll close up tonight," she informed him, getting to work.

He wasn't about to argue, letting Wanda have her way. He really wanted to go home and put his mind at rest over what he was missing when it came to his family. Walking out of the Jammer, he opened the envelope to see what Zoe wanted him to know.

Butter Stick!

He frowned at only seeing the name of the bakery shop in town. He turned the note card over, but the backside was empty. He'd have to stop off at the Butter Stick to see just what he was missing.

"Evening, Maybelline," Wade greeted with a smile.

"Evenin' Wade, give me a minute," she told him flashing a smile his way, walking to the back, to get him his box.

"Dare I ask what this is?" He asked, taking the box from her.

"Now that depends on if you want your wife to be mad at you," she warned with a small laugh.

"Can't say I do," he laughed. "How much?" He asked, reaching for his wallet.

"It's been taken care of, just follow the directions on the box," she told him.

"Thanks, Maybelline," he said, turning the box around to read what it said, as he really didn't want to read it upside down.

"You're welcome sweetheart," she told him, going back to what she had been doing.

No peeking! Don't forget the worms!

He could see grabbing some sort of baked good, but the worms were throwing him off greatly. What did they need worms for? He only used worms for fishing. They couldn't be fishing, that didn't seem like a possibility. Thankfully, the walk from the Butter Stick to the bait shop was a quick one.

"These are for you," Derek said, grabbing a small container filled with worms, upon seeing Wade enter the shop.

"Any ideas on what my family has planned?" He asked. "Do I owe you anything?" He asked, wanting to make sure he didn't walk out with unpaid worms.

"Will insisted he pay for them," Derek laughed. "I can only say what's written for you," he pointed to the plastic lid covering the worms.

Fishies Daddy! Fishies!

Wade laughed, thanking Derek as he left the bait shop. There was only one place he took Will to fish. He walked faster than normal, wanting to see just what his wife and son were up to. It took him less than five minutes to get to the pier seeing his family. Will was trying to teach Aurora how to fish, and he found it the cutest thing ever.

"What do we have here?" Wade asked, taking a sit on the wooden pier next to his son,

"A fishy party," Will smiled, holding his cartoon fishing pole up to show his dad.

"A fishy party?" He asked, leaning over to kiss Zoe and take his baby girl.

"Uh huh. Oree needs learn daddy," Will told him.

"She'll learn to fish," he promised his oldest. "What about the barbecue?" He asked, kissing his baby girls head.

"Oh it's happening but after we finish here. Your dad was more than happy to have it at his house this year," Zoe filled him in.

"Okay then, let's fish," he cheered, handing Aurora back over to Zoe, getting his own fishing pole set up. Once he had his line ready he casted it out into the water. "Is whatever I picked up for the Butter Stick dessert?" He asked, curious to know what he had to pick up.

"Take a look," Zoe told him, handing Aurora a toy to play with. A toy Wade had a feeling would be fished out of the water at some point before they leave. Probably more than once.

With one hand holding onto the fishing pole, he opened the box to see three chocolate frosted donuts. One of them filled with multicolored sprinkles. Happy Father's Day, wrote in white frosting on the cupcakes separately.

He didn't like that his baby girl didn't have her own donut. He can't wait until she's old enough to partake in such things with them. For now little bites here and there would have to suffice.

They called it a night with fishing when they had ran out of worms 45 minutes later. Not only had they ran out of worms but Will was starting to get hungry, the donut not enough for him. They walked back to the house, Zoe pushing Aurora in the stroller as Will wanted daddy to carry him.

Getting home they got everything from fishing put away. Wade got Aurora changed and helped Will clean up as he wanted Daddy's help, not mommy's help. With both kids cleaned up, they headed over to Earl's house to celebrate Father's Day with his dad and Jesse. One of their favorite traditions to do.
