(*Quick Warning: This is a pretty Kazuma-ish chapter*)

"Alright Megumin, Yunyun, We need to check around the forest and see if there are any stragglers left. I trust that the two of you won't go overboard showing your friends the town! Catch ya Later!" Buzucoily said as he walked backwards and chanted a spell to make himself disappear.

I guess the Crimson Demons really do know advanced magic, even if they are pretty cringe…

"Huh, I guess they really do know advanced magic. And here I was thinking that they were just as cringe as Megumin…" Kazuma casually said.

Ok, I guess he was brave enough to say it out loud…

"Oh boy, I'm pretty sure they didn't like that…" Megumin commented

"Who cares? They teleported away, they won't be able to hear me, right?" Kazuma told her.

"Well...they didn't really teleport away…" Yunyun said, "They just turned themselves invisible just to make a cool exi--ouch!"

Yunyun got hit near her head by a small pebble from where Buzucoily and his group supposedly teleported away.

"Hmmm…." Aqua looked over to the spot where the pebble came from and took a step forward.

There was a slight gasp as something moved away.

"Ah Ha!" Aqua pulled out her staff and started to use her water magic to spray it over the invisible Buzucoily and co.

There were some shouts from the women as they ran away from Aqua's water.

"Hey! These don't dry so easily, cut it out!" Buzucoily said.

Wow look at that, Aqua can actually be entertaining for once.

"Alright Tsukiyo, looks like we're gonna find a place to stay in for the night, and start our little chat with my client V. You don't mind if I steal Vergil from ya for a while right?" Kosuke asked.

"No go ahead, Looks like it might be awhile before we can go home. Make sure you tell me what's V deal is, I'm pretty curious myself…" I told him, "Oh and Vergil, try not to kill him."

"No promises." Vergil responded back.

"Alright, then. Catch ya later Tsukiyo!" Kosuse said as we waved him away, "Come on V. You're going to tell us everything…"

"Come on, let's go find the Village Chief, he's got some explaining to do…" Megumin told us with a serious face, but we technically ignored her seriousness when she started to skip towards the center of the village.

It's strange.

While we walked around the village that was supposedly trapped in the mist that didn't let them leave the village, no one here seemed that scared or concerned, it just seemed like an average day to them. I guess the Demon King Invasion really isn't much of a threat to them.

Some of them are lazing around on the grass, some are reading books, and others are working in their stalls. Damn, either they have no sense of urgency or they're really fucking strong…

As we made our way to meet the village chief, Megumin definitely seemed a lot happier to see the village she was born in again after so long.

It didn't take long for us to see a large mansion in the middle of the village with a very detailed stone Griffon out in front of it.

"Hey Yunyun…" I asked

"Yeah, this is the place." she sighed in exhaustion.

Yeah, figures.

As we entered through the front doors, we were greeted by a woman in an oddly erotic witch costume sitting in front of a desk.

"Hi Helena." Yunyun greeted the woman.

"Oh, Yunyn, you're back!" She happily said in a smooth voice, "It's been a while since you've last visited, oh and you brought Megumin too! Oh, your Father will definitely be overjoyed to see this!"

"See us? I thought he was dead!" Kazuma told the witch.

"Hmm? He's not dead, why would he?" The witch told us with a confused face.

"I thought so…" Megumin mumbled.

"Let me see my Father right away!" Yunyun demanded.

"Right this way, I believe he isn't busy at the moment." The witch said as she began to lead us to the 3rd floor of the building. We were soon greeted by 2 slightly menacing looking doors, almost as if there was a trap the moment you opened them.

Yunyun opened the doors, letting them fly open in front of her as she confronted her father.

"Oh Yunyun, you're back! I am very pleased to see the letters make it to you!" Yunyun's father said. Sitting in front of us on his desk was a middle-aged man with a pretty manly mustache and a full on biker outfit with torn spots and a chain around his shoulder, and guess what? Red and Black color scheme. Really original...

"We're here to ask about the letters, is it true that it's my destiny to have Yunyun bear my chil-" Kazuma got kicked in his shin by Megumin before he could even finish his sentence.

"Ow! What the hell!" Kazuma complained.

"Focus." Megumin told him, "Chief we're here to discuss the contents in your letter."

Meanwhile, Yunyun's father was laughing loudly at us, "Oh my, your companions are definitely something Yunyun, I'm proud to see you make some friends other than Megumin. As for your Question Megumin, I apologise for any confusion, the letter was only a simple letter.

"I was just wondering how my daughter was doing outside the village, though I did get a bit carried away at writing. It's a bad habit when you have Crimson demon blood running through your veins. It's almost impossible to write normal letters…"

"Bullshit." Kazuma blurted out, Yunyun looked pretty shocked when he said that.

"Dad, I need to ask: What did you mean by 'By the time you receive this letter, I probably have already passed on from this world'?" Yunyun asked.

"Yunyun don't you know that's the Standard Crimson Demon greeting? Oh wait, I don't think you learned that, you and Megumin skipped graduation…" Yunyun's father said deep in thought.

"...And the part about not being able to break through a base built by the demon king army…?" Kazuma asked.

"Oh right, there's a really cool base nearby but since the mist around our forest is in the way we can't get to it. Oh by the way, how did you get past the mist?" Yunyun's father asked.

"Our Alcoholic Priestess cleared the mist." Kazuma said.

"Hey, I'm not some bottom of the barrel priestess, I'm a Goddess!" Aqua retorted back.

"Wow, a Goddess! That's a nice title, really bold!" Yunyun's father said to her.

"Then why did you write everything as if you were going to die?" I asked him.

"Cause it sounded cool!" He said happily.

"Yunyun can I punch your Dad?" Kazuma asked casually

"Go ahead." Yunyun immediately replied.

"Yunyun?!" Yunyun's father said, surprised.

"I call seconds…" I told him.

"Wha-! Wait a minute, your arm! You're not human!" Yunyun's father said in shock.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm part demon, though the actual demon in me isn't here right now." I told him.

Strangely enough, Yunyun's father stood up immediately and walked up to me with a very serious face.

"Father?" Yunyun asked, almost stunned.

"Is it true? Are you really part demon with an actual demon living in your arm?" He asked in a deep voice.

"Yeah, what if I am?" I said standing him off.

The atmosphere around us was a bit tense as even Yunyun didn't want to get in between us.

"I see…" He said lowly as he began to crack his hands and muscles in his back.

There was a bit of silence before Yunyun's father stomped the ground, making everything in his office vibrate a bit. With that step, Yunyun's father got on one knee and gently held my demon arm as he almost begged…

"I give you permission to bed my Daughter! Please, give me a strong half demon chil-" Yunyun's father got hit with the base of Yunyun's scepter right in the middle of his head.

"Don't give strangers permission to bed me while I'm in the room!" Yunyun said angrily.

"OH BULL! SHIT! HOW DOES TSUKIYO STILL HAS HIS MAIN CHARACTER STATUS! THIS IS SO SHIT!" Kazuma said as he kicked his chair over.

"Sorry Chief, Yunyun may be an...interesting person, but I already have someone." I said standing over Darkness.

"I see...How much would it cost-"

BANG!

Yunyun's father got startled by my gunshot as there were 2 small holes in the floor near his hand, "Don't even try…" I said lowly.

"n-noted…" he said

"Ugh...So far everything has been an overreaction, no ones dying, the base isn't a threat, and Yunyun's staying alone. Are the Demon King Bosses even a threat?" Aqua asked herself.

"Oh, yes. The 2 Demon King Bosses are a threat. If it was just one, we'd be able to handle it with ease, but it's a different situation with 2 bosses." Yunyun's father said in a serious tone. He seemed to forget that he was almost shot a minute ago.

"Hmm, They should be coming over here around this time, right….about…."

"Demon King Army Alert! Demon King Army Alert!" A voice shouted from the sky along with some bells, "Those who have time on their hands please gather near the Griffon Statue. We have a visual on the enemy, they number close to a thousand!"

"A thousand!?" Darkness said

"What the hell?" I said, "Chief, do you have enough firepower to fight that amount?"

The Village Chief, Megumin, and Yunyun didn't seem scared at all when they heard the announcement.

"Hah! A thousand small fry demons are nothing compared to a Goddess like me, this will barely be a challenge to me!" Aqua said cockily.

The Village Chief looked at both me and Darkness with a smug smile, "It seems like our friends here don't understand the magnitude of the Crimson Demon Clan like Megumin and Yunyun do...Alright! Come with me, let me show you what this clan is capable of!"

We would soon leave the office and head outside to an open field with a couple of Crimson Clanmen and women. Ahead of us was an army of Undead skeletons in armour, Evil-Lizardmen, Orcs with armour and maces, and other things alike.

I'm not going to lie, looking at an army of that size, I definitely felt a large amount of pressure and fear. The Army itself, from where I was standing, was so large I couldn't tell where the end of the marching line was, and if I even tried to find it my eyes would be trailing over and over towards different breeds of monsters and demons.

But all that fear was immediately blown away the moment a literal tornado was summoned in the middle of the army followed by a thunderstorm raining down lightning around the sides. With an inferno of Dark red fire swirling and flowing with the wind tearing through the army, and a quicksand like ground covering over the field slowing down the army to a crawl

"AHHHH!" "OH MY GOD!" "HELP!" "RETREAT! RETREAT!" SLYVIA GET OUT OF HERE! IT'S NOT SAFE HERE!" "OH GOD THEY'RE ALL CHARRED BODIES!"

The painful roars and panicked shrieks of the demon army filled the air as a team of 50 Crimson Demon clansmen were mowing down the army of a thousand Monsters and Demons.

Honestly, I feel sort of bad for them…

"Witness the power of the Crimson Demon Clan! This is what happens when you plan to invade a Village of Talented and Powerful Mages!" The Village Chief shouted as basked in the glory of an army being torn down rapidly.

As the army was getting torn apart and literally massacred, a small gap in the army opened up and a Dark Woman in a lava red Dress walked up to the front of the army.

So far still no sign of the She-Viper.

"Men! I will block their magic from the front! Stay behind me! Their gap in casting high level spells is enough to--!" The woman shouted.

"No! I don't think so!" A voice from the front of the Crimson Demon Group said.

It was Buzucoily, who was readying a very special magic. And I could tell it was very special since the same magic circle that Megumin would have started to appear on both his feet and hands. It seems whatever he was about to do was massive since everyone started to support him with their magic.

And I shit you not…

The clouds in the sky were starting to split apart with a giant magic circle appearing in the air…

and a giant meteor came out…

A FUCKING METEOR

At this point, I don't think anything will surprise me at this point. With the magic that they have, I'm pretty sure they could easily overthrow the Demon King himself…

It's a shame that we got the short end of the stick and somehow got Megumin out of everyone in this Village.

Oddly enough, I had this feeling that something was burning near the back of my head. I wasn't sure if I was just having a stroke from what I was looking at, but it was constantly stinging.

I decided to take this burning sensation a bit more seriously when the stinging started to move all throughout my body, and then this feeling of being watched started to flare up.

I looked around for a while before I looked up and saw a Snake-like mouth try and swallow me whole. I pushed Darkness aside and rolled out of the way before the She-Viper could swallow me whole.

I pulled out my pistol and aimed where the snake was supposed to be only for the smoke and dust to clear up and see that she was not there anymore.

"What the hell was that!?" Kazuma said as he started to back up.

"A fucking Demon Boss." I told him, I got Darkness up from the ground and started to look around for Echidna.

"Argh!" Echidna hissed from above as she somewhat flew around in the air.

"I was wondering when you were going to show up Echidna, sneak attacks aren't really your forte you know?" I called out to her.

"We're fighting a fucking snake!? Are you shitting me?" Kazuma said.

Echidna ignored us as she began to shoot her seeds at us. I shot 3 of her seeds that were sent while Yunyun used her magic to destroy the rest.

"My children! My Precious babies!" Echidna sobbed, "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO KILL MY KIN, YOU FUCKING BASTARDS?!"

Echidna finally stopped flying to confront us as her snake mouth opened up and showed her humanoid form.

"INSOLENT HUMAN, I'M GONNA ENJOY WATCHING MY CHILDREN TEAR A FUCKING HOLE IN YOUR CHEST!" She hissed.

"Not if I tear them apart limb by limb first!" I retorted back to her.

Echidna growled at me before she noticed my arm, "Your arm! You're part of the pesky Sparda Family aren't you?! Killing you would do no good here, I need to torture you for an eternity to avenge my Sisters slain by that traitorous Sparda!"

Hmmm, this isn't good…

So far Vergil isn't in my arm, so I don't have my Full strength with me right now.

"Echidna! We're retreating!" The woman in the red Dress shouted.

"What!? Where is the army we had before?!" Echidna shouted.

"Now's our chance, let's get her while she's distracted!" Aqua said.

"No, not now." I told her

"Why not? Now's a good time to one shot her through the head, are you some kind of idiot?" Aqua told me.

"As much as I want to take her on right now, I'm not at my full strength. And without Vergil I can't use the Devil Bringer right now." I told her, "If I can get Vergil back and see her again, then we can try."

I need to get stronger to take her on…

"Just this once, I'll let you go Kin of Sparda. But I won't back down next time…" Echidna growled at us before she went back into her snake form and sped back towards the woman in red.

"So that's her name...Echidna…" The Village chief said.

"Yup, don't ask how I know her, just know that I know how to kill her." I told him.

"Alright then, keep your secrets…" The Village Chief told me in a serious tone, "Sneak attacks, setting up the mist, and threatening the safety of my home. How uncool… Megumin, we'll clean up here. Why don't you go and Visit your Family. I'm sure they'll be more than overjoyed to see her eldest Daughter return home."

"T-thank you, Village chief." Megumin said as we began to walk away from the group.

"I've never seen him that mad…" Megumin muttered to us.

I don't blame him.

As we were walking away from the field, Kazuma asked Megumin an important question.

"Hold in, where do you even live?" he asked.

"It's...a bit complicated…" she hesitantly said, "For now, let me point you on where to go…"

It's not often that you see Megumin act a bit Docile, especially towards Kazuma of all people.

"But man, those are Real Crimson Demon Members huh...what a sight…" Kazuma casually said.

"Hey, what do you mean Real Crimson Demons? Do you see any fakes around?" Megumin said a bit angrily as she pinched Kazuma's cheeks.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow! No, there aren't any fakes! I'm sorry please stop! I'm gonna drop you if you keep doing that!" Kazuma said.

As we began to walk towards Megumin's house, I noticed that we were getting farther and farther away from the Village and more towards a thick forest.

"Hey Megumin, are you sure we aren't lost?" Aqua asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Megumin said back.

It didn't take long before we saw a somewhat rundown shack-like house next to a small road. Some of the windows were covered with a somewhat cracked glass while some were covered in cloth. The Brickwork was covered in some moss while the roof was pure straw.

I guess this might be why Megumin was a bit hesitant to tell us.

As we stood in front of the door, that had a rusty handle and hinges, Megumin used her head to knock on the door.

From the inside, there were small footsteps rushing over to the door before it opened slowly. Peeking from the inside was what looked like a smaller Megumin, looking up at us.

"Awww, it's a smaller Megumin~" Aqua said.

"I'm home Komekko. Have you been a good girl while I was away?" Megumin said sweetly.

Again the weird names…

Komekko, Megumin's little sister, looked at us for a couple of seconds before her eyes and mouth widened in excitement.

She took a deep breath before saying the following very loudly, "MOM DAD, BIG SISTER SNAGGED A MAN!"

….i…

….ok then….

As of right now, we were in Megumin's Shack-like house. It was cramped, it was small, there weren't any household furniture aside from a small homemade coffee table, an old stove top like stove, and a beaten up and tattered couch.

Right now, Aqua was doing a magic trick for Komekko, moving a slightly cracked coffee mug while Darkness watched with amazement. Kazuma looked a bit under pressure as he tried not to do any sudden movements as he was being watched by Megumin's Parents, while Megumin herself was lazily sleeping in the corner of the room from her excessive mana usage.

And me?

Well I was near the corner of the room as I looked outside for...I don't know something? This seems like more of a Kazuma atmosphere since he's technically really close to Megumin.

You know, now that I took a closer look…

Megumin's dad looks like a knock-off Jojo character.

He's got the Delinquent-like hairstyle, with a front facing cap and coat hanging over his shoulder trying to look cool with his lack of overly excessive muscle. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a crudely made crescent moon or star like tattoo somewhere on his body.

Megumin's mom on the other hand...strangely looks normal.

There really isn't anything that stands out too much from. Just a slightly roughed up dress with some accents and very long but straight black hair. She could look like an older Megumin if you squint hard enough.

"I would like to thank you and your party for taking care of our daughter. I didn't think she'd make so many friends outside of the village because of our Crimson demon blood, but it makes me happy knowing that she has some comrades." He told us with a deep voice, "You have my sincerest gratitude."

"We've read about each of you from all the letters she sent us. I apologise for our daughter being quite the handful." The mother said, "Especially you Kazuma…"

Megumin's dad, Hyouburo? Hyouzaburo? I don't know, something like that, looked at Megumin and rubbed her head gently before he looked at Kazuma.

"Kazuma, what is your relationship with our Daughter?" He asked…

For the third time…

And I say the third time because every other time he asked, Kazuma would tell him that they were just friends.

"We're just friends." Kazuma told him for the third time.

And everytime he heard that…

"AEFILONVOQZCGISNCNDIFNWETVIPN!!!?" Megumin's father would have a fucking spasm as if he was the one getting rejected.

"W-W-W-W-What did you sayyyyyyyyyyyyy!?" Megumin's dad roared as he began to shake the table rapidly.

"Dear please STOP!" We can't afford to break this table! Our Finances are already tight enoughhhhhhh!" Megumin's Mom said, trying to persuade him.

God the Crimson Demon Clan is so fucking strange…

It took awhile for the Father to calm down and stop having a fucking spasm.

"Ok...ok...I apologize, I was a bit too agitated from your dumb statement from playing dumb about being friends. My apologies." He said.

I might've snickered a bit too hard from that since almost all eyes were on me.

"I'm sorry, that was rude of me…" I apologised.

"Megumin told me things about you too, Tsukiyo I take it?" The father said.

"Yup, let me guess: You want to actually see if I'm really part demon?" I asked him.

"Something tells me you get that quite often." He said.

"Yup, most people don't believe so until I show them my arm." I said, I stood up from where I sat and walked over to where they were sitting and showed them the Devil Bringer.

Megumin's father's eyes widened as he examined my arm and felt the texture.

"I honestly thought she was exaggerating a bit when she wrote the letter, but this really is the real deal…" The father said, "Is there really a demon living in it?"

"Yup, he's not here right now since he's helping out with an interrogation, but this is a real deal." I told him.

"I hope I'm not interrupting too much, but I have a small gift to offer you for your hospitality…" Kazuma said as he brought out a small box with bread-like snacks inside.

Kazuma barely got time to let go of the box before both parents tried to snatch it.

"Dear, this was a gift from dear Kazuma to me, please let go…" The father said, "It's a sign of respect between Men, you wouldn't understand."

"Oh Honey, I do understand, but I believe Kazuma offered these snacks to me. Besides, you were acting quite rude towards him before, where did all this respect for him come from. We'll be having this for Dinner, I won't let you hog this for you and your wine." The mother retorted.

I don't think a healthy couple would be acting like this...then again this is the Crimson Demon Clan…

Before anyone could say anything, Komekko spoke up "Hey, is that food? Like Actual Food right?! Not like rice or porridge that still leaves you hungry but real solid food?!"

Oh god this hurts….

That sentence honestly hurted me…

Kazuma brought out some more food that he had in his bag that he brought with him and spread the food on the table.

"It's not much but please take these for yourselves…" Kazuma said lowly as he even he felt bad.

"You're too Generous Kazuma! Dear! Serve him our best tea!" The Father said.

"We only have one kind of tea!" The mother retorted back, "Please wait a minute for the Tea to brew Kazuma~"

The mother took probably the most normal and uncracked tea cup they had and served it to Kazuma.

Komekko though, was stuffing her face with the snacks we brought from the shitty Hot Springs, and looked at Kazuma for a while before offering him some. It was honestly pretty cute seeing an actually pure child offering something to Kazuma.

"Hehe, thanks but it's alright. You can keep eating, I'm already full!" Kazuma said gently towards her.

Komekko's eyes lit up, "T-thank you!" she said happily before continuing eating.

It was honestly pretty wholesome, up until the Father had to speak up and ruin the moment…

"I-I won't let you have Komekko too!" He shouted.

I damn near gagged from that sentence alone.

"Hold on, hold on! Like hell I'm gonna go after Komekko! I'm not into that!" Kazuma tried to refute.

"Are you saying that my Adorable cute little Komekko is not good enough for you?!" The father said.

This fucking guy…

"Dear, your over-protective side is showing…!" The mother said slightly angrily as she grabbed his ear to calm down.

"I apologise for my Husband, he gets like this whenever our daughters are involved. With that being said I have to ask Kazuma, don't you have a Debt settle? You don't seem to be that bad of a guy, but it might be wise to clear that issue up before taking our Daughter." The mother said.

"I thought I told you guys, We're just comrades. There's nothing between us!" Kazuma said.

That's not what I heard back in the Hot Springs…

"I'm not sure about that, the letters we've been getting from our Daughter says a different story from what you've been telling us…" The mother said before she got slightly pink.

Kazuma's face immediately went from confused to a straight face of realisation, "What did she write?" he sternly almosted demanded.

"Oh you know, just the usual shenanigans that you two have been experiencing: Admiring my Daughter being covered in slime, remarking about her bust when carrying her, trying to peek under skirt while she naps, trying to bribe her cat to steal her panties, and even bathing together.

"From my point of view, it seems you two are a lot closer than you think…" The mother said casually.

Holy hell, all the perversion has actually caught up to him.

It didn't take long for Kazuma to immediately get on his knees and grind his face on the ground as he asked for forgiveness.

"Even after all that...She still thinks highly of you to the point of calling you an important comrade. You're a mass pervert with no combat skills, no commons sense, very vulgar language, a mountain of debt, and she has to costantly keep an eye on you so you don't kill yourself…" The father said in a serious tone.

"...but even so, she still wants to stay by your side. If you still believe that there's nothing between you two, then you're even crazier than the people here in this Village."

I'm honestly surprised she still has a high enough respect for Kazuma after everything we've experienced.

"But according to our Daughter, she seems to be one of the main damage dealers in the party." The father said.

"Hold on, that doesn't sound right…" I finally spoke up.

"What do you mean? She said that the party can't function right without her; She Defeated the Demon Boss Hans the Poison Slime, forced another Boss out of his Castle to confront him and soon take him down, and she made huge contributions towards the Mobile Fortress Destroyer." The father said recalling our past Adventures.

"Well...that's not entirely wrong but…" Kazuma said.

I mean, me and Darkness fought the Headless Knight on our own since she caused the confrontation, I got rid of the Nuclear core that screwed me over and Megumin was just the cleanup crew to get rid of the destroyer, and I was mainly fighting Hans with both Wiz and Vergil just for Megumin to deal the final blow...so….

"Let's just ask her when she wakes up. We can definitely paint a much more detailed picture with our experiences…" I told them.

"I hope this isn't rude of me to ask, but how much do you owe? I can't help but feel a bit concerned for the Party my Daughter is in. We can help a bit if needed, but we don't have much...as you can see…" The Mother told us.

"Oh no, it's fine. We've already cleared our debt, and we'll be getting a large sum by the end of this trip, so it's no...problem…" Kazuma slowly said as both the Mother and Father started to get a bit close to him.

"How much are you going to get after this trip?" The father asked.

"Dear, a question like that is a bit sensitive...but it doesn't hurt to get an estimate...right?" The mother asked.

Kazuma definitely felt pressured as he answered truthfully, "T-three-hundred million eris…"

"THREE HUNDRED MILLION!?" Both of the Parents shouted at the same time.

I'm surprised Megumin didn't wake from that…

Both of the Parents got out of their shocked-like state and got close to Kazuma, "K-Kazuma! How about you and your party stay here from now on!?" The Father said, "It's probably hard for your party to constantly move around from place to place without a home!"

"Komekko! You're going to start sleeping with Pappa and I! Oh, but Dear this home isn't big enough for the entire party! With only the living room, Megumin and Komekko's room, and our room, there isn't enough room for all of us. How about we go for a remodel?" The Mother said.

"It's fine! Really it is! We have Mansion back in Axel Tow-" Kazuma tried to argue back, but used the wrong words.

"A MANSION?!" They both shouted again.

God this fucking Family….

I get why they're saying this…

but damn….
