Trigger Warning: Non-consensual kissing and touching

The Day Before the USJ

He'd arrived back from UA that night to the sight of a far too grinny Tomura stood beside Giran and Takahashi. Making sure to leave as much space between him and the doctor as he could, Hitoshi took off his backpack and dropped it down beside the door.

"What's the special occasion?"

"Well we-."

Hitoshi quipped a smirk as he took control of Giran.

"Punch-."

Tomura swiftly delivered a punch of his own to his stomach sending the wind out of his as he doubled over. Grabbing him by the chin he forced his head up, eyes furious.

"Finish that sentence and I'll cut out your tongue and feed it to trash in his cell."

Hitoshi shook with a growl.

"Get off me!"

"There's so much fight in you all of a sudden, just what are they teaching you at UA?" Tomura laughed. "Oh Takahashi, I think pet here might need a treatment."

There was a time when Hitoshi would have been scared of those words, scared of the pain that he knew accompanied them, scared of being their lab rat, but he just...

He was too tired.

They dragged him to the medical lab with little resistance before shoving him into the chair and tightening the thick leather straps around his wrists. Takahashi was readying his scalpel as Hitoshi slumped his head back against the headrest.

"Will you let me see Touya?" He asked, voice quiet in the silence of the far wing of the facility.

Takahashi smirked.

"What's wrong, used to having trash there to comfort you after this? Stop acting like a child and grow up."

Hitoshi sighed. He needn't have even asked that question, he already knew what the answer was going to be.

Since being sent to UA he hadn't seen Touya once and it was starting to get to him. He was sure he wasn't dead because Tomura would have been the first to rub the news of his death in his face the second they got confirmation. That was the only positive he could take away from the situation. He missed him though.

He missed him more than he ever could have imagined.

Despite being in the same facility as each other they were kept apart, Touya still in the cell they'd shared since he was a kid and him in a larger room closer to the medical lab in case they felt like showing him his place in their operation.

Hitoshi felt the scalpel cut across his skin as he hissed; another cut followed, then another.

The doctor's hand came to touch his cheek.

Sharply inhaling he turned his head away, his breath catching in his throat.

"Now pet, don't be silly now."

Takahashi stroked his cheek before taking hold of his chin and leaning in close. Hitoshi held his breath, screwing his eyes closed as he pressed back against the seat, unable to escape as lips were pressed against his own.

A small whimper escaped as he internally begged the doctor to stop. This experience was hardly the first but the concept of having to go through it without the light of Touya to guide him out of his own head after was the most terrifying.

"Please..." He begged, a sole tear slowly trickling down his cheek.

The doctor's hand travelled downward under his shirt.

Hitoshi shook in fear.

"Good boy."

At school the next day Hitoshi could barely keep himself on his feet, the extreme bloodloss from the previous day proving to be a drain on his already practically non-existent energy. It was impossible to concentrate and his head was pounding with the volume of the main school building as he made his way towards his classroom. His eyes stung from light sensitivity and his stomach was rumbling violently, a reminder that they hadn't fed him last night due to his disobedience.

He knew it was stupid to try and use his quirk like that but at this point he had nothing to lose.

That's what he told himself anyway.

He still wasn't sure what kind of consequences were imposed on Touya from his own 'misconduct' towards the members of the League but he hoped that the agreement was purely down to food distribution. Hitoshi had tried his best to gain the intel they wanted but he'd quickly found out that the UA teaching staff weren't the kind of people to just leave sensitive information lying around. Their security system was unbreakable and the teacher's themselves were clearly never going to let anything slip.

Reaching his homeroom Hitoshi found his desk at the back of the class and took a seat. His head was spinning and he felt as if he could throw up any second. Gently lowering himself to lean down against the desk he rested his head on his arms and...

"KOMATSU!"

Hitoshi's eyes flew open as he cried out in fear, the chair falling backwards and hitting the floor with a thump as he swung at the person whose hand was touching his shoulder, the hit making contact before gasps echoed around the classroom.

Breathless and terrified he saw the shocked face of his homeroom tutor and the rest of his classmates sat at their desks where they hadn't been seconds ago.

He'd fallen asleep.

The clawing at his throat left his helpless.

Hopeless.

Useless.

With shaking legs he sprinted out of the classroom, throwing open the door to the hallway and exiting out into the grounds.

"Well look at that for timing, your father here was just about to come and ask to collect you."

Hitoshi's eyes widened in horror at the voice.

Tomura.

"There's been a family emergency."

His arm came to wrap around him, his whole body stiffening as he shook.

'I'

Tomura slapped his hands away from signing before delivering another to the back of his head.

Hitoshi lowered his gaze to the ground as he screwed his eyes closed.

"Use your words, pet... or are you all mute again?" He mocked.

His breathing became heavy as his eyes rose to meet those of Tomura's.

"F- f- fuck... y-y-ou." Hitoshi forced out.

Tomura was still for a few seconds before he began to laugh, his response becoming louder and louder before he truly snapped.

Kurogiri's warp gate transported them to the familiar surroundings of the facility seconds before Tomura launched at him.

Forced to the ground as the decay user attacked he felt his stomach burn as his skin disintegrated.

"Tomura; please!"

"You need to learn to keep your mouth shut, pet." He grinned. "But don't worry; we'll soon beat that right out of you."

A hand fisted in his hair.

"And I know just where to start."

"NO! NOOOOOOOOO!" He screamed, his throat protesting as he did so, eyes darting wildly around the room as his chest ached.

Shouta was beside him in seconds, the gap closed between them as he engulfed him in the tightest hug, chin coming to rest atop his head as he gently cood soft reassurances.

Tears ran down his cheeks as he fought against the hold.

"You're okay, Toshi, you're okay. It's Dad, it's just Dad, no one else is here. You're okay."

Realisation seemed to come to him as his gaze moved upwards to meet those familiar eyes.

"Dad?"

"I'm right here, Tosh."

He felt his father's arms wrap around him a little tighter as a kiss was pressed to his crown.

"Hizashi!"

The voice hero was in the middle of grabbing coffee for himself and Shouta when the familiar voice carried through the family room. His eyes widened as he rushed over to his Mother's stood by the door and smushed them into a hug.

They smiled, returning the embrace.

"What are you doing here?"

'VISIT YOU ALL' Signed Hana.

'HEARING AIDS WHERE?' He replied.

'BROKEN'

'REPLACEMENT?'

'ENJOY QUIET'

Hizashi smiled.

'FIX LATER' She continued. 'MAYBE'

He smirked.

"Has Shouta been looking after you?"

"Fumiko..." He sighed. "Shou is still as perfect as the day I met him."

"Aww." Hana spoke up.

"How's Hitoshi? Sorry we haven't had a chance to meet the kid yet."

"Hey your jobs keep you busy, it's okay. Hitoshi is struggling a little right now. They've had him on oxygen a few times and he's still saying his chest hurts so the doctors are a little concerned. Shou and I are both too worried about if he suddenly went into respiratory distress during the night, or just stopped breathing entirely to even attempt to sleep so we're a little tired. Aside from all the psychical stuff he's..." Hizashi sighed. "I'm worried about him."

"It's a lot to process. I know we don't have the full details but they announced that hero guy's name earlier on the news. It must be hard for the kid."

"He's never experienced grief before but he doesn't even know what it is. He also feels responsible about Nighteye, and guilty about Mirio. Zuku got hurt too so, you know... you can imagine what must be going through his head right now."

'S-H-O-U-T-A OKAY? RAID HE THERE?'

"Yeah he was. He got stabbed but he's downplaying it 100%. They could barely get him to sit still for his stitches he was that desperate to see Hitoshi."

'SEE HIM WE?'

The voice hero couldn't say no to his Mama like that, especially not when she was wearing a smile like that on her face as she signed.

'COME ON THEN' He replied.

Arriving back at the room Hizashi was greeted by the sight of a gasping Hitoshi being comforted by his husband.

"It's okay, you're okay."

Their son's eyes were filled with tears as he looked dangerously close to a panic attack.

"Dad..." Came his whimpering voice.

"It's okay, it'll pass and then you'll be fine. It's okay, Toshi."

"I hate this I feel really..."

"You're alright, it's okay." Shouta gently stroked a hand up and down their son's back in comfort.

A small sob escaped from Hitoshi's lips as he wrapped his arms around Shouta, huddling in against him.

"Hey, you're okay, you're okay, Tosh. Yeah? Come on our brave little hero, you can breathe."

"I can't." He sniffled.

"You can you just need to take it slow like the doctor showed you then you'll feel better for it."

Hitoshi shook his head, burying himself even closer before a minute or so later he seemed to be breathing normally once again.

"There we go. See Tosh, you did it." Shouta offered a smile. "I'm really proud of how strong you're being."

Hitoshi looked up and noticed them stood in the doorway.

Hizashi finally entered the room.

"You okay now, Toshi?"

He didn't get a response, their son's eyes still fixed on the strangers.

Seeming to sense a change in Hitoshi, Shouta turned to them too clearly trying to work out what was wrong.

"This is Fumiko and Hana and they're my Mom's."

His husband scowled at him.

"Hizashi this is hardly the time..."

"Hitoshi knows sign language too." He explained despite the protest.

Shouta gave their son's hand a squeeze before standing up and walking to the door with a thunderous expression.

"This is not the time for new faces."

The voice hero wasn't too pleased with how rude he was being.

"They're my-."

"I don't care who they are, Hitoshi doesn't need this right now."

Hana nodded as she went to take her wife's arm.

Fumiko however looked less than pleased.

Shouta went to head back to Toshi.

"You haven't changed at all over the years have you?"

He paused, clearly not wanting to get angry in front of their son, before he offered a smile to Toshi.

"We won't be long, okay? We'll be right outside if you need us."

Hitoshi nodded if not a little unsure.

The erasure hero corralled everyone out of the room and closed the door.

"You picked our son's hospital room as the place you wanted to have this argument, really?!"

"I've held my tongue for a long time about you because Hizashi liked you-."

"Oh here we go." Shouta exhaled in exasperation. "It wasn't a personal attack, Hitoshi just comes before everyone else and right now the last thing he needs is visitors he doesn't know."

Fumiko scoffed, shaking her head.

"He could do so much better than you."

Hizashi's eyes widened.

"Mom!"

The words hit deep to his insecurity but he didn't back down.

"Yeah he could, and I told him to go out and find someone better than me during the year I was away in Tokyo. I wasn't expecting him to be there when I got back but he was. No doubt you tried to talk him out of it?"

"Of course I did because it was a mistake; I didn't want him to throw his life away like that for someone like you."

"I can tell you're dying to use those news reports against me, go ahead, throw them in my face, you're not the first and you certainly won't be the last."

"You're-."

"My parents are Kaiyo Aizawa, Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugou, and Inko Midoriya. Shūgo Inagaki is rotting somewhere I couldn't give a fuck about and he was never my father. I don't care how you feel about him, nothing that monster did has anything to do with me and I refuse to let people use their pathetic comparisons anymore; stop sticking your nose into our marriage and stay the hell away from my son."

Shouta offered what he hoped with a smile that told his husband he wasn't angry with him before leaning close and pressing a kiss to his lips as he opened the door and walked back into the room.

The three were left in silence after the door clicked shut.

Hizashi was truly livid, the voice hero shaking his head.

"Hizashi…" Fumiko attempted.

"I know you've never been happy with my choice to marry Shouta but it won't change anything. He wasn't lying when he said that he told me to look for someone else. He went away and I didn't follow so for that entire year I had to live with my mistake and I was utterly miserable. I love Shouta with everything I have and I don't understand why you would say those things to him? He has never done anything to anyone and yet people are so quick to throw his own life back in his face as if he didn't have to survive it the first time. Yes Shūgo did those things, yes biologically he's Shouta's father, but that's where that comparison ends. Shouta has defended his entire class against the League of Villains with no thought given to his own life, he loves Hitoshi unconditionally, he's got a family who care so much about him, and little brothers who've moulded themselves after him growing up, I don't know what you picture when you see Shouta but I see someone very different. You couldn't find someone who would do more for you than Shou and I feel like the luckiest person alive for being able to call him my husband."

Hana, who was crying at this point, rushed forward and pulled him into a hug.

He looked over her shoulder to his mother who looked guilty.

"Hizashi… I'm sorry, I-."

"I think you should go."

She nodded.

Hana pressed a kiss to his cheek.

The two of them began to walk down the corridor.

Hizashi sighed.

"Mom."

He called.

She paused and turned to him.

"I'll call you tomorrow, okay?"

A small smile came to her face although it was still drowned in regret.

"I'll look forward to it."

Hizashi nodded.

"I love you."

Fumiko looked close to tears.

"Love you too."

The voice hero closed his eyes as he took a few seconds to compose himself before taking a breath and opening the door. Inside Shouta was sat next to Hitoshi on the bed, the two of them lying back against the pillows giggling at something. He smiled.

"Papa, look at this video Auntie Inko sent!"

Hitoshi turned his phone round to show a video of Jelly and Cream fighting over who got scratched by Inko, the two cats trying to shove the other out of the way with Jelly eventually falling off the couch with a look of displeasure.

Hizashi laughed.

Shouta's gaze turned to him in concern although clearly trying to mask it for Hitoshi's sake.

"You okay?"

The voice hero smiled.

Trust his husband to be more concerned about him after everything she just said.

"I'm perfect." He leaned down to kiss him before walking around the bed and taking a seat in the chair, shuffling it closer to be on the other side of them.

Hitoshi seemed to notice how quiet he was immediately.

"You don't have to feel bad, you didn't do anything wrong."

"I shouldn't have-."

He shook his head.

"I was fine, I couldn't breathe very well for a little bit and I had a nightmare, it wasn't exactly anything new. Sorry I couldn't meet your parents."

Hizashi had to fight back tears.

How could their son be so precious?

"I don't like the sound of that nightmare, are you okay?"

Hitoshi nodded.

"I'm okay, just tired."

"Hopefully you'll get some more sleep later."

Hitoshi looked between the two of them.

"I love you, just wanted to say that; I feel like I don't say it enough."

"You say it plenty, Tosh." He reached out a hand to gently stroke through their son's purple hair. "But thank you, it's always nice to hear."

Shouta pulled Hitoshi closer into his side with a smile.

"We love you too, don't forget that."

"Never."

Author's Note: So i've been sowing the seeds about Takahashi for a while and we finally know why Hitoshi is so terrified of him, we'll find out more about this soon. Poor Toshi. Also Hizashi's parents made another appearance this time not in a flashback and... yeah... Fumiko had some stuff to say didn't she? She's going to have a change of heart though and we'll also see more of this explored soon too.
