The Erasure Hero sighed, as he went through the list of names.
Some of the groups were obvious. Midoriya was rooming with Shinsou, Todoroki with Koda, Uraraka and Asui were rooming together with Yaoyorozu, and Jiro was going to stay with Ashido.
Mineta with Iida was a good idea, though; the taller boy would easily be able to keep Mineta in line.
But did he really want Sero and Kaminari to room together, as well as Kirishima and Bakugou? Sure, Kirishima was best suited to handle Bakugou's quirk, and there shouldn't be any fights breaking out between Sero and Kaminari, but those pairs were chaotic. He didn't really want something to happen at Ketsubutsu that he would have to deal with; it was just too troublesome.
Whatever. He didn't care too much. Ketsubutsu was a hero school; logically, they should be able to handle a bunch of rowdy teenage boys.
Now, he had to split all the students up into separate groups so that they could attend lessons with the Ketsubutsu first years. When Shiketsu and Ketsubutsu visited UA, they had to attend regular lessons of that year group, and there were only eight new students, with one first year, six second years, and one third year; it wasn't that much of a hassle to just stick them in one of the other classes.
But now, there were forty-two first year students, including Shiketsu's Yoarashi, and he had to split them into groups of eleven so that it wouldn't put any strain on the Ketsubutsu teachers. As much as Aizawa preferred all his students to work purely with the Hero Course students, he knew that he couldn't just stick twenty-one extra students down the other two teachers' throats.
He would have also preferred to rotate each group so that they could work with Ketsubutsu's hero course classes, but he knew that wouldn't be possible either, since the teachers would also have trouble identifying students if they kept rotating in and out every other lesson.
Luckily, the regular lessons for the hero course weren't too different from that of the other courses, and the Hero Course's training sessions took place after the rest of the students had been dismissed from their lessons, so the UA and Shiketsu students wouldn't be missing out on too much.
At least, he wouldn't have to deal with the pets that the students owned. Sure, Midoriya was most likely going to be bringing Reiko and Ryuto along with him, and he already had copies of the official documents allowing him to do so, but Yamada, Kayama, and Ishiyma had decided that they were going to feed the pets during the week that the students were away. Most of them were well trained anyway, and they were smart, so it was unlikely that they would make much of a mess.
Aizawa sighed again. He liked being a teacher, but he just hated admin work like this. He wanted to have a nice sleep and not have to worry about what the future was going to bring.
Sometimes, ignorance really was bliss.
"Ah! Izuku!" Nezu smiled brightly, as the green haired boy pushed the door of his office open. He had called the greenette up to talk briefly about some of the arrangements concerning the scheduled joint training session with Ketsubutsu Academy and Shiketsu.
Nezu handed Midoriya a small envelope, "Those are the documentations for both Reiko and Ryuto. You should keep that with you. Aizawa has several spare copies, so he'll be dealing with the admin side of things, but you should just have a copy on hand just in case. He's already issued you guys the packing lists, right?"
Midoriya nodded.
"Good." Nezu flicked his tail about erratically, deep in thought, "You should... uh... be careful."
The greenette tilted his head slightly, as Nezu sighed, "I... looked into the first year students that attend Ketsubutsu... some of the kids from the General Education courses... they were from Aldera Junior High. Some were also from your elementary school.
Midoriya had to admit... he wasn't too surprised by that. There were many students in Aldera, while some of his classmates had come from the same elementary school, there were still a lot of students he had interacted with. But it was no wonder Nezu was wary; he knew that Nezu had been investigating his previous schools, from the various questions the animal principal had been asking.
"I'm not sure if they would still hold the same animosity towards you as they did while you attended the same school... but given how bad the quirkless discrimination is..." Nezu sighed, "I honestly doubt that anything has changed. They might start targeting you again, since the teachers can't supervise all of you kids at the same time."
"It's... not like I can just... not go..." Midoriya muttered, and Nezu exhaled, "Aizawa and Vlad King know about this, so they won't be able to pull anything in the presence of the teachers... but if they aren't around, I'm not sure what they would do. And always stick with someone. If they do end up getting physical, you'd have someone to take your side of the story."
Midoriya nodded, and Nezu finished, "Ignore them, okay? Just know that no matter what they say, you're important. To me, to Shinsou, to your friends and teachers. You're strong in your own way. You have your own worth. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
The greenette felt like he was going to tear up. He knew that everything was different now, but every time Nezu mentioned how much he cares about him, it always sent this familiar yet foreign, painful, bittersweet wave of emotions rushing through his body.
Nezu just looked up at him, "Just... take care of yourself, okay, Izuku?"
"You've gotten everything packed?" Shinsou poked his head into Midoriya's room.
They were going to set out for Ketsubutsu Academy in the morning, since it would take a few hours to get there, and they would arrive there sometime in the afternoon. Aizawa had told them that the bus would be ready soon, so they had to check and make sure that they had packed everything they needed for the week long joint training session away from UA.
Midoriya nodded, his bag sitting on the ground, as he settled down into his bean bag.
The bag was definitely larger than the one that he had brought to Yaoyorozu's house that other time, and Shinsou gently opened it, finding several sets of clothes, their uniforms, muscle cream, bandages, and to no surprise, a lot of knives.
"I think our hero costumes are going to be loaded onto the bus later." Shinsou spoke up, "Why do you need so many knives?"
"Just in case." Midoriya replied, wrapping his arms around Ryuto, as the avian just sat in his lap, content. Reiko crawled up onto Midoriya's shoulder, nuzzling, and Shinsou turned to the greenette, "Yeah... you aren't good with new places, right?"
Midoriya nodded. He really didn't like being in places he wasn't familiar with. Sure, he knew that it was inevitable, but he'd rather stay within the safe confines of UA. He just had a really bad feeling about the Ketsubutsu trip, and knowing that he would have to see several of his old classmates didn't make it any better.
Shinsou fished a small bag out of his pocket, and he ripped it open. He took out a sour gummy, before he offered the gummy to Midoriya, holding it up to Midoriya's face, "Here. I know you like sour stuff. I was going to save this for the bus ride... but you can have one right now."
Midoriya slowly opened his mouth, biting onto the gummy gently, and Shinsou let go of the piece of candy before the green haired boy ate the gummy.
"I don't know if you saw the groupings... since Dad just sent it out like an hour ago, but you, I, Monoma, and Kendo are in the same group... you know how Monoma's like; Kendo would probably have to keep him in line half the time. And apparently, the entire Bakusquad is in the same group. This is going to be chaos."
Midoriya just looked up at him, still sucking on the gummy instead of chewing it up, and Shinsou gently ran his hands through Midoriya's fluffy green hair, "Don't worry about it too much, okay? It'll be fine."
The green haired boy nodded slowly. He wasn't really convinced, and the fire burning in his gut just flared up, sending a familiar, uncomfortable chill down his spine, the same feeling he always got before the second USJ incident, the training camp, the Provisional Licence Examination, the internship with Sasaki.
At least, now, he knew that he had people on his side.
Shinsou and Midoriya's phones both vibrated, and Shinsou fished his phone out of his pocket, looking at the new notification that had popped up on his lock screen.
"Come on, I think we need to go now."
The bus finally pulled into Ketsubutsu Academy's driveway, and the doors popped out, with Shiketsu's bus pulling up behind them. Aizawa stepped out of the vehicle, before he started ordering the bus driver to open the storage compartments of the bus so that the kids could take out their baggage.
"Aizawa-sensei, what about our hero costumes?" Yaoyorozu looked up, having scanned over the storage compartment and not seeing a single hint of the cases that contained their hero costumes.
"We'll deal with that, and hand them out during your training sessions. No point in having those cases taking up space in your rooms, especially when you already have two to three people sharing a room, and you can't even use them at this point in time." Aizawa replied.
It didn't take too long for the UA students to pile out of the bus, and they grabbed at their belongings, trying to make sure that no one else took their bags by accident.
"Hey!" A familiar voice rang out, and the students turned, only to notice Fukukado walking towards them from the main building, with Shindo and Nakagame behind her.
"Glad you guys made it in one piece." Fukukado snickered, and Aizawa gritted his teeth in exasperation, "What else were you expecting?"
"I don't know." Fukukado replied, "But anyways, I'll let the kids lead you to the rooms. I need to finish up some admin stuff and paper work with Eraser over here."
It didn't take too long for the two Ketsubutsu students to bring the UA and Shiketsu students to the building where they would be staying for the week, with Midoriya grabbing onto Shinsou's arm while the taller boy placed himself between the greenette and the black haired Ketsubutsu at every single possible moment.
"Anyways, those are the rooms." Shindo shrugged, "I don't know what you guys have planned for tonight, but as far as I know, tomorrow, you guys will be joining your respective grades for lessons, and then, we have the joint training session. Anyways, have fun!"
The rooms had two sets of beds and tables on the opposite sides of the room, as well as a bathroom. Shindo and Nakagame headed back to their own dorms, leaving the UA and Shiketsu students to sort out of the rooms and to start unpacking their stuff.
"Hito?"
Shinsou turned towards the smaller boy, only to find that Midoriya was staring blankly at his opened bag. Reiko was sitting on the bed, reaching her paw out towards the contents of the bag, while Ryuto was busy inspecting the curtains.
"Yeah?"
"I... don't feel good about this." Midoriya admitted, raising his head slightly, looking at Shinsou directly, "I just... feel that something bad will happen."
"Is it Shindo?" Shinsou asked, and Midoriya shook his head, "It's... not that... there's... something I haven't told you."
Shinsou tilted his head slightly, and Midoriya sighed, "I... Some of my old schoolmates from middle and elementary school will be here."
The lavender haired boy's eyes widened slightly, as Midoriya continued, "I just... I don't know... I don't think they would be the main problem. Even if they start making fun of me again... something else just feels wrong."
Shinsou looked away slightly, thinking, "We can talk to Dad about this. If it's bullying, we can deal with it on the spot whenever it happens. But if it's a potential villain attack or anything... I don't know... I know Vlad King-sensei and Dad would believe you, and maybe Ms Joke and the other Shiketsu teacher... but I'm not sure about the Ketsubutsu staff, but maybe they would believe Ms Joke."
Shinsou put his hand out, and Midoriya reached out to grab it, clutching his hand gently.
"Don't worry about it too much. We'll be fine."
