Hey all! Between my lack of updates and the problem the site has countered, I thought why not give you guys two chapters today. Part of this chapter was supposed to be for a different chapter. It works better here.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.

Enjoy!

"Are we certain that you're not pregnant again?" Wade asked, kissing her temple. He moved over to pour himself a cup of coffee and swiping a cold slice of pizza, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"I'm sure," Zoe nodded, having swallowed the bite of pizza in her mouth. "I have no idea why you would think that for," she remarked, taking a bite out of the slice in her hand.

"Because it's barely 5 in the morning," he pointed out, taking a tentative sip of the burning hot liquid. "And you're eating cold pizza in the middle of the kitchen," he retorted with a laugh.

"I am not in the middle of the kitchen," she huffed. "I am at the counter," she grumbled, dropping the crust in the pizza box. Wade chuckled from his spot behind her. "There's a difference," she hissed out, turning around to face him.

"I'm not going to argue that," he told her, seeing the anxiety on her face. "Come here," he said, motioning for her to slip into his arms. "Wanna talk about it?" He asked softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head, the second she was secure in his embrace.

"Our little boy grew up too fast," she sniffled.

"Zo, he's only 5 and it's only kindergarten," he assured her. "We still have 13 more years before he leaves for college and makes a life for himself," he told her, finding out that it was the wrong thing to say as his wife turned into a sobbing mess in his arms. "He's always going to be your little baby boy," he whispered, against her head.

"Yeah, he is," she sniffled. She wanted to watch her son grow up and become an amazing young adult. The only problem being she has to watch him grow up, and she likes having him little and wanting to have morning cuddles or bedtime snuggles. 13 years felt like a long time and not long enough all wrapped up together.

"Let's focus on today before we have him married off with his own family," he chuckled lightly, rubbing his hands in soothing circles on her back.

"Don't even say that," she warned, pulling back from where her head laid against her husband's chest.

"Soon enough, babe, soon enough," he commented.

Last year, he had gone to school as well. Head start, the big difference between last year and this year being he wouldn't be going a few days out of the week like last year, no, this year he would be going five days a week. Zoe didn't know how to feel about her little boy getting big enough to spend his days at school. Being home with one child would be different, as she is used to having two kids to look after when she's the one at home watching them.

"Why don't we go get ready for the day, while the kids sleep a bit longer," he suggested, pulling her closer, leaning down to kiss the crook of her neck.

"Yeah?" She asked with a smile, letting her eyes close shut at the touch of her husband. "Doesn't mean we're trying for a third kid. Two is plenty," she warned, pulling away with a laugh on her lips at the far-off look on his face.

"I wasn't going to suggest anything of the sort," he retorted, acting offended at her words.

Zoe gigged, pulling her husband behind her to their bedroom. They checked on their kids, getting lost watching them sleep. They looked so peaceful deep in sleep; it's hard to look away. They managed to pull themselves away from their sleeping children to enjoy the early hours of the morning together. Needing just a few minutes only them whenever they can find the time to do so.

They sat around the table having breakfast. Will wanted to have waffles and bananas for his first day of kindergarten. Wade helped Aurora eat her baby oatmeal with some mashed up banana. She's still trying to get the hang of getting the small plastic spoon to her mouth. And Wade didn't mind feeding his little girl. He made sure to back off and let her do things that she does need to learn how to do. A lesson he didn't forget when he wanted to do everything for Will. He doesn't like watching his kids struggle, a feeling he has a pretty good idea on it never changing the older they get.

By the time they finished breakfast and got Will ready to head out the door, they were running a few minutes late. Which for Zoe was still early as she wanted to be early to school, to give Will more time to settle in before the rest of the kids showed up. She wanted him to be comfortable in the classroom.

It wasn't so much leaving him for hours on end that got the best of her. That melt down had been that morning. No, the tears this time were from Will hugging them good-bye and running off to play with the few kids there, wanting to get the best building blocks. Not knowing the dilemma his parents were having about him being away at school. Wade kissed her temple, rubbing her arm as he wrapped her up in a side hug as they walked away from the school, assuring her everything was going to be okay.

They walked with Wade to the Rammer Jammer, enjoying the cool start to the day. After promising he'd be home for lunch, he went to work. Zoe and Aurora made their way home. The mess from breakfast still sat in the kitchen waiting to be cleaned; she would get to it when Aurora took a nap. She really just wanted to play with her baby girl.

Zoe set up the play mat, placing her baby on her tummy. Aurora could push herself up, but hadn't started to crawl yet; it is a matter of time. She would scoot on her butt every so often to reach for a toy to play with.

She's starting to learn that Aurora is doing things on her own time, that didn't line up with when Will started to do things. Will learned how to crawl around 4 and a half months. Aurora at five months is taking her sweet time on crawling. They both started to roll over at the same age. As much as she wanted her baby to be crawling, walking and talking more than baby gibberish, she also wants her little girl to take her time in doing each thing. Watching them grow into their own person is fun and to see their personalities come out the older they get is amazing to see.

She found that she had spent more time than she thought playing with her little girl, when she started to get fussy. Getting her taken care of and a full belly for a nap, Zoe placed her in her crib with her little purple monkey that Earl had given her a few months prior. They learned the hard way that Aurora needs that monkey to sleep. Never again will they lose the monkey.

Leaving the door to her room open, Zoe headed downstairs to clean up the mess from breakfast. She checked on Aurora after she got the dishes placed in the dishwasher. She smiled seeing her little girl out like a light. She yawned, the early-morning wake up getting the best of her. She decided that she'd lay down and take a nap, it's for the best.

Wade frowned entering his house for lunch, having brought lunch with him. He placed the bag on the kitchen counter, going in search of his wife and daughter. He smiled looking into his little girl's room seeing her babbling on about something as she played with her feet.

"Hello pretty princess," Wade smiled, picking his happy baby girl up, holding her close and giving her a hello kiss. "Should we go find mommy?" He asked, deciding first to change her soggy diaper.

With a clean diaper, daddy and daughter went in search of mommy. Wade's smile grew bigger seeing her curled up in bed sound asleep. He laid on the bed placing Aurora between them. "Let's wake mommy," he instructed his baby girl.

Aurora just laid there watching her dad a smile on her face. Wade laughed, kissing her little nose. He found that his little girl is still as perfect as the day she was born.

Wade kissed Zoe's forehead, lightly nudging her to wake her up from her slumber. He found it cute watching as her slumber wore off as she slowly came back to the land of the living. She blinked a few times, before really taking in the sight before her. A smile forming on her face.

"Why didn't you wake mommy?" Zoe asked, tickling Aurora's little tummy, making her laugh.

"She wanted to happily chill in her crib for Daddy," Wade retorted. "Isn't that right my little love bug?" Wade asked, tickling her little foot, getting her to kick his hand.

"We love Daddy, huh?" She asked Aurora.

"What kind of question is that?" Wade asked, playing hurt. "Of course, my two girls love me," he smirked.

"We do," Zoe smiled, getting up to use the bathroom. "Meet you two downstairs," she told them, shutting the door behind her.

"You heard mama, let's go downstairs and find you something for lunch," Wade said, picking her up and flying her as an airplane to the kitchen, complete with airplane noises.

"I can't deal with another day like today," Wade sighed, collapsing in bed, burying his face into his pillow.

"You do realize it's only going to get worse the older they get, right?" Zoe asked, rubbing soothing circles on his back.

"Can you not ruin the future?" He pleaded, turning to look at her.

"Drama queen," Zoe laughed. Wade glared at her. "Look you know what it's like to have a sibling. It's not always fun," she commented.

"I know," Wade sighed, rolling onto his back.

The week started on a good note. Will making the most of his time at school. He enjoyed kindergarten. He easily made friends. He enjoyed going for an after school treat with one of his parents or both. What he didn't like was the early-morning wake up call and being busy all day that by the end of the week, he'd be a real grouch. Wade had never had a problem watching his two kids before and thought nothing of it when they left Zoe at the practice, and they went home.

He sat on the floor playing with Aurora, Will playing with his cars, happily. That's what Wade thought. It turns out it wasn't quite so happy. Will got mad, throwing a metal truck at his dad, hitting him in the shin. He's sure he'll have a bruise for a few days, if not longer. He didn't understand what happened to make his son so mad. He's never been that mad he has to throw things. Wade tried talking to him, but Will refused to say a single word, pouting in the timeout he was given.

"We've been giving Will the same amount of time as we do Aurora," he sighed.

"He has, but he's had a very busy first week of school, and he's tired. It's been a huge adjustment for him, and it's going to keep being an adjustment for him. It's not an excuse for him to start throwing things," she explained, clarifying that she wasn't making excuses for their oldest. "We'll get it sorted out with time, like we have done before," she told him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"Yes, we will," he agreed, letting his eyes drift shut. They'd find a way to fix what's going on with their oldest. Because he hated seeing his kids in pain. They had no excuses to let it go. They wanted both their kids to know how loved they are.
